| 1 | Force-induced charge carrier storage:a new route for stress recording显示文摘Stress sensing is the basis of human-machine interface, biomedical engineering, and mechanical structure detection systems.Stress sensing based on mechanoluminescence(ML)shows significant advantages of distributed detection and remote response to mechanical stimuli and is thus expected to be a key technology of next-generation tactile sensors and stress recorders. However, the instantaneous photon emission in ML materials generally requires real-time recording with a photodetector, thus limiting their application fields to real-time stress sensing. In this paper,we report a force-induced charge carrier storage(FICS)effect in deep-trap ML materials, which enables storage of the applied mechanical energy in deep traps and then release of the stored energy as photon emission under thermal stimulation. The FICS effect was confirmed in five ML materials with piezoelectric structures, efficient emission centres and deep trap distributions, and its mechanism was investigated through detailed spectroscopic characterizations.Furthermore,we demonstrated three applications of the FICS effect in electronic signature recording, falling point monitoring and vehicle collision recording, which exhibited outstanding advantages of distributed recording, longterm storage, and no need for a continuous power supply. The FICS effect reported in this paper provides not only a breakthrough for ML materials in the field of stress recording but also a new idea for developing mechanical energy storage and conversion systems. | Yixi Zhuang Dong Tu Changjian Chen Le Wang Hongwu Zhang Hao Xue Conghui Yuan Guorong Chen Caofeng Pan Lizong Dai Rong-Jun Xie | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 10 |
| 2 | Joint multiple resource allocation for offloading cost minimization in IRS-assisted MEC networks with NOMA显示文摘Effective resource allocation can exploit the advantage of intelligent reflective surface(IRS)assisted mobile edge computing(MEC)fully. However,it is challenging to balance the limited energy of MTs and the strict delay requirement of their tasks. In this paper,in order to tackle the challenge,we jointly optimize the offloading delay and energy consumption of mobile terminals(MTs)to realize the delay-energy tradeoff in an IRS-assisted MEC network,in which non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)and multiantenna are applied to improve spectral efficiency. To achieve the optimal delay-energy tradeoff,an offloading cost minimization model is proposed,in which the edge computing resource allocation, signal detecting vector, uplink transmission power, and IRS phase shift coefficient are needed to be jointly optimized. The optimization of the model is a multi-level fractional problem in complex fields with some coupled high dimension variables. To solve the intractable problem,we decouple the original problem into a computing subproblem and a wireless transmission subproblem based on the uncoupled relationship between different variable types. The computing subproblem is proved convex and the closed-form solution is obtained for the edge computing resource allocation.Further, the wireless transmission subproblem is solved iteratively through decoupling the residual variables. In each iteration, the closed-form solution of residual variables is obtained through different successive convex approximation(SCA)methods. We verify the proposed algorithm can converge to an optimum with polynomial complexity.Simulation results indicate the proposed method achieves average saved costs of 65.64%,11.24%,and 9.49%over three benchmark methods respectively. | Guang Chen Yueyun Chen Zhiyuan Mai Conghui Hao Meijie Yang Shuangshuang Han Liping Du | 2023 | Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,3: | 0 |
| 3 | Developing a USLE cover and management factor(C)for forested regions of southern China显示文摘The Universal Soil Loss Equation model is often used to improve soil resource conservation by monitoring and forecasting soil erosion. This study tested a novel method to determine the cover and management factor(C)of this model by coupling the leaf area index(LAI)and soil basal respiration(SBR)to more accurately estimate a soil erosion map for a typical region with red soil in Hetian,Fujian Province,China. The spatial distribution of the LAI was obtained using the normalized difference vegetation index and was consistent with the LAI observed in the field(R^2=0.66).The spatial distribution of the SBR was obtained using the Carnegie-Ames-Stanford Approach model and verified by soil respiration field observations(R^2=0.51).Correlation analyses and regression models suggested that the LAI and SBR could reasonably reflect the structure of the forest canopy and understory vegetation, respectively. Finally, the C-factor was reconstructed using the proposed forest vegetation structure factor(Cs),which considers the effect of the forest canopy and shrub and litter layers on reducing rainfall erosion. The feasibility of this new method was thoroughly verified using runoff plots(R2=0.55).The results demonstrated that Cs may help local governments understand the vital role of the structure of the vegetation layer in limiting soil erosion and provide a more accurate large-scale quantification of the C-factor for soil erosion. | Conghui Li Lili Lin Zhenbang Hao Christopher J.Post Zhanghao Chen Jian Liu Kunyong Yu | 2020 | Frontiers of Earth Science2020,14,3: | 0 |
| 4 | User Selection Algorithms for Lowering Cross-Tier Interference in Heterogeneous Network显示文摘To lower the cross-tier intercell interference(ICI) between macrocell and microcell, three user selection algorithms for the heterogeneous network were proposed in this paper, assuming full knowledge of channelstate information at the transmitter. Algorithm 1 chooses microcell users whose interference channel matrix is parallel to that of a known user and targets at increasing user SINR. Algorithm 2 takes effect of chordal distance-channel norm balance on the system into account and predetermines the available user set from which it can choose service users. With comprehensive considerations to effect of interference signal and useful signal on system, Algorithm 3 set a weighting function as the objective function of user selection. Simulation results demonstrated that all three proposed algorithms could achieve user diversity gain while lowering cross-tier interference. | CHE Linlin HAO Conghui HAN Dongsheng CHEN Zhixiong | 2016 | China Communications2016,13,S1: | 0 |
