1Progress in numerical simulation of cavitating water jets显示文摘This paper reviews recent progress made toward modeling of cavitation and numerical simulation of cavitating water jets. Properties of existing cavitation models are discussed and a compressible mixture flow method for the numerical simulation of highspeed water jets accompanied by intensive cavitation is introduced. Two-phase fluids media of cavitating flow are treated as a homogeneous bubbly mixture and the mean flow is computed by solving Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations for compressible fluid. The intensity of cavitation is evaluated by the gas volume fraction, which is governed by the compressibility of bubble-liquid mixture corresponding to the status of mean flow field. Numerical results of cavitating water jet issuing from an orifice nozzle are presented and its applicability to intensively cavitating jets is demonstrated. However, the effect of impact pressure caused by collapsing of bubbles is neglected, and effectively coupling of the present compressible mixture flow method with the dynamics of bubbles remains to be a challenge.PENG Guoyi SHIMIZU Seiji 2013Journal of Hydrodynamics2013,25,4:16
2Numerical analysis of cavitation cloud shedding in a submerged water jet显示文摘Focused on the unsteady behavior of high-speed water jets with intensive cavitation a numerical analysis is performed by applying a practical compressible mixture flow bubble cavitation model with a simplified estimation of bubble radius. The mean flow of two-phase mixture is calculated by unsteady Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes(URANS) for compressible flow and the intensity of cavitation in a local field is evaluated by the volume fraction of gas bubbles whose radius is estimated with a simplified RayleighPlesset equation according to pressure variation of the mean flow field. High-speed submerged water jet issuing from a sheathed sharp-edge orifice nozzle is treated. The periodically shedding of cavitation clouds is captured in a certain reliability compared to experiment data of visualization observation and the capability to capture the unsteadily shedding of cavitation clouds is demonstrated. The results demonstrate that cavitation takes place near the entrance of nozzle throat and cavitation cloud expands consequentially while flowing downstream. Developed bubble clouds break up near the nozzle exit and shed downstream periodically along the shear layer. 3^(14)C measurement of forest soils in Dinghushan Biosphere Reserve显示文摘Organic carbon in forest soils of Qingyunsi and Wukesong profiles can be divided into fast and slow components. Δ14C values of these profiles decrease with increasing of depth. The Δ14C values in 30—40 cm depth interval of Wukesong profile are decreasing sharply until a very low value,showing that a strong geological environment change occurred about 1 560 years ago. The 14C apparent ages of Wukesong profile show that the coniferous and broad-leaf mixed forests around Wukesong profile have been developing since 425 a BP, which is consistent with historical documents. 4The characteristics and sources of natural gases from Ordovician weathered crust reservoirs in the Central Gas Field in the Ordos Basin显示文摘The Central Gas Field is a famous large-sized gas field in the Ordos Basin of China. However, identification of main gas sources of the Ordovician reservoirs in this gas field remains puzzling. On the basis of a lot of geochemical data and geological research on natural gases, the characteristics and sources of natural gases from Ordovician weathered crust reservoirs in the Central Gas Field in the Ordos Basin were studied. The results indicated that natural gases from Ordovician weathered crust reservoirs in the Central Gas Field in the Ordos Basin have similar chemical and isotopic compositions to highly mature and over-mature dry gases. Both coal-derived gases and oil-type gases coexist in the Central Gas Field in the Ordos Basin. The former was derived mainly from Carboniferous-Permian coal measures and the latter from Lower Paleozoic marine carbonates. 5Integrating a model with remote sensing observations by a data assimilation approach to improve the model simulation accuracy of carbon flux and evapotranspiration at two flux sites显示文摘Model simulation and in situ observations are often used to research water and carbon cycles in terrestrial ecosystems, but each of these methods has its own advantages and limitations. Combining these two methods could improve the accuracy of quantifying the dynamics of the water and carbon fluxes of an ecosystem. Data assimilation is an effective means of integrating modeling with in situ observation. In this study, the ensemble Kalman filter(En KF) and the unscented Kalman filter(UKF) algorithms were used to assimilate remotely sensed leaf area index(LAI) data with the Biome-BGC model to simulate water and carbon fluxes at the Harvard Forest Environmental Monitoring Site(EMS) and the Dinghushan site. After MODIS LAI data from 2000–2004 were assimilated into the improved Biome-BGC model using the En KF algorithm at the Harvard Forest site, the R2 between the simulated and observed results for NEE and evapotranspiration increased by 7.8% and 4.7%, respectively. In addition, the sum of the absolute error(SAE) and the root mean square error(RMSE) of NEE decreased by an average of 21.9% and 26.3%, and the SAE and RMSE of evapotranspiration decreased by 24.5% and 25.5%, respectively. MODIS LAI data of 2003 were assimilated into the Biome-BGC model for the Dinghushan site, and the R2 values between the simulated and observed results for NEE and evapotranspiration were increased by 6.7% and 17.3%, respectively. In addition, the SAE values of NEE and ET were decreased by 11.3% and 30.7%, respectively, and the RMSE values of NEE and ET decreased by 10.1% and 30.9%, respectively. 10Re-examining the reliability of tree-ring isotope ratio as a historical CO_2 proxy显示文摘To examine the reliability of using tree ring δ13C and the model of isotopic fractionation in reconstructing atmospheric CO2 levels, we studied the variations of some important parameters of several subtropical species under natural field conditions. It was found that, different from other researchers’ results, leaf conductance to CO2 transfer, g, did not change in proportion to the change in rate of CO2 assimilation, A, with the result that intercellular concentration of CO2, Ci, could not keep constant. 12Flexible path planning-based reconfiguration strategy for maximum capacity utilization of battery pack显示文摘Maximizing the utilization of lithium-ion battery capacity is an important means to alleviate the range anxiety of electric vehicles.Battery pack inconsistency is the main limiting factor for improving battery pack capacity utilization,and poses major safety hazards to energy storage systems.To solve this problem,a maximum capacity utilization scheme based on a path planning algorithm is proposed.Specifically,the reconfigurable topology proposed is highly flexible and fault-tolerant,enabling battery pack consistency through alternating cell discharge and reducing the increased risk of short circuits due to relay error.The Dijkstra algorithm is used to find the optimal energy path,which can effectively remove faulty cells and find the current path with the best consistency of the battery pack and the lowest relay loss.Finally,the effectiveness of the scheme is verified by hardware-in-the-loop experiments,and the experimental results show that the state-of-charge SOC consistency of the battery pack at the end of discharge is increased by 34.18%,the relay energy loss is reduced by 0.16%,and the fault unit is effectively isolated.Xinghua Liu Guoyi Chang Jiaqiang Tian Zhongbao Wei Xu Zhang Peng Wang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,11:0

15Ultra-fast bacterial inactivation of Cu_(2)O@halloysite nanotubes hybrids with charge adsorption and physical piercing ability for medical protective fabrics显示文摘Metals have been used for wound treatment and toxicity testing since ancient times.With the development of nanotechnology,metal oxides have been proven to have excellent sterilization and disinfection functions.However,the rapid bacterial inactivation efficiency and trapping physicochemical killing ability remain simultaneously undemonstrated in antibacterial nanohybrids.Here,we demonstrate a method for in-situ reduction of small-sized Cu_(2)O particles on one-dimensional inorganic halloysite nanotubes(HNTs).The resultant Cu_(2)O@HNTs hybrids not only give Cu_(2)O excellent dispersibility,but also exert the synergistic effect of the charge adsorption of metal oxides and the physical piercing effect of the small-sized nanotubes.Furthermore,the release of Cu^(2+)from hybrids damages cell membranes and denatures proteins and DNA.Through this sterilization mechanism,Cu_(2)O@HNTs allow for the inactivation rate of Escherichia coli to reach 94.5%within 2 min and complete inactivation within 10 min.This excellent sterilization mode makes Cu_(2)O@HNTs exhibit excellent broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and inactivation efficiency,while shows weak cytotoxicity.These hybrids were further applied in the processing of functional antibacterial fibers and fabrics.Thus,we believe that this excellent antibacterial hybrid is practically attractive in this critical time of the COVID-19 pandemic.Yaping Wang Qianqian Wang Guoyi Wu Hengxue Xiang Mugaanire Tendo Innocent Mian Zhai Chao Jia Peng Zou Jialiang Zhou Meifang Zhu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,27:0
