| 1 | A scientometric review of biochar research in the past 20 years(1998-2018)显示文摘Biochar is the carbon-rich product obtained from the thermochemical conversion of biomass under oxygen-limited conditions.Biochar has attained extensive attention due to its agronomical and environmental benefits in agro-ecosystems.This work adopts the scientometric analysis method to assess the development trends of biochar research based on the literature data retrieved from the Web of Science over the period of 1998-2018.By analysing the basic characteristics of 6934 publications,we found that the number of publications grew rapidly since 2010.Based on a keyword analysis,it is concluded that scholars have had a fundamental recognition of biochar and preliminarily found that biochar application had agronomic and environmental benefits during the period of 1998-2010.The clustering results of keywords in documents published during 2011-2015 showed that the main research hotspots were“biochar production”,“biochar and global climate change”,“soil quality and plant growth”,“organic pollutants removal”,and“heavy metals immobilization”.While in 2016-2018,beside these five main research hotspots,“biochar and composting”topic had also received greater attention,indicating that biochar utilization in organic solid waste composting is the current research hotspot.Moreover,updated reactors(e.g.,microwave reactor,fixed-bed reactor,screw-feeding reactor,bubbling fluidized bed reactor,etc.)or technologies(e.g.,solar pyrolysis,Thermo-Catalytic Reforming process,liquefaction technology,etc.)applied for efficient energy production and modified biochar for environmental remediation have been extensively studied recently.The findings may help the new researchers to seize the research frontier in the biochar field. | Ping Wu Syed Tahir Ata-Ul-Karim Bhupinder Pal Singh Hailong Wang Tongliang Wu Cun Liu Guodong Fang Dongmei Zhou Yujun Wang Wenfu Chen | 2019 | Biochar2019,1,1: | 36 |
| 2 | Antioxidant effects of the orientin and vitexin in Trollius chinensis Bunge in D-galactose-aged mice显示文摘Total flavonoids are the main pharmaceutical components of Trollius chinensis Bunge, and orientin and vitexin are the monomer components of total flavonoids in Trollius chinensis Bunge. In this study, an aged mouse model was established through intraperitoneal injection of D-galactose for 8 weeks, followed by treatment with 40, 20, or 10 mg/kg orientin, vitexin, or a positive control (vitamin E) via intragastric administration for an additional 8 weeks. Orientin, vitexin, and vitamin E improved the general medical status of the aging mice and significantly increased their brain weights. They also produced an obvious rise in total antioxidant capacity, superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase levels in the serum, and the levels of superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase, Na+-K+-ATP enzyme, and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATP enzyme in the liver, brain and kidneys. In addition, they significantly reduced malondialdehyde levels in the liver, brain and kidney and lipofuscin levels in the brain. They also significantly improved the neuronal ultrastructure. The 40 mg/kg dose of orientin and vitexin had the same antioxidant capacity as vitamin E. | 3 | Comparison of Persulfate Activation and Fenton Reaction in Remediating an Organophosphorus Pesticides-Polluted Soil显示文摘Organophosphorus pesticides(OPs) are one of the most regular pollutants and frequently detected in the contaminated sites,so developing an efficient method for the treatment of OPs is highly required. The aim of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of persulfate(PS) activation and Fenton reaction in remediating the soil polluted with OPs. The polluted soil used in this study was sampled from an abandoned insecticide factory in Nantong, Jiangsu Province of China, mainly containing chloropyrifos(CP) and 4-bromo-2-chlorophenol(BCP, the raw material of profenofos) with total concentration of about 30 000 mg kg^(-1). The results showed that both BCP and CP were efficiently degraded by base activation of PS, and increasing the ratio of Na OH/PS enhanced CP degradation, but slightly decreased BCP degradation. The greatest degradation rates for CP and BCP were 92% and 97%, respectively,with 7.0 mol L^(-1) Na OH and 0.21 mol L^(-1) PS and a soil-to-liquid ratio of 1:1. Furthermore, ferrous iron activation of PS also degraded BCP efficiently, but only 60% of CP was degraded under the same reaction conditions. These results indicated that base activation of PS was more feasible than Fe^(2+) activation and Fenton reaction in remediating the soil polluted with OPs. | 5 | Evaluation on Spot Weld Models in Structural Dynamic Analysis of Automotive Body in White显示文摘Spot weld models are widely used in finite element analysis(FEA) of automotive body in white(BIW) to predict static,dynamic,durability and other characteristics of automotive BIW.However,few researches are done on evaluation of the validity of these spot weld models in structural dynamic analysis of BIW.To evaluate the validity and accuracy of spot weld models in structural dynamic analysis of BIW,two object functions,error function and deviation function,are introduced innovatively.Modal analysis of Two-panel and Double-hat structures,which are the dominated structures in BIW,is conducted,and the values of these two object functions are obtained.Based on the values of object functions,the validity of these spot weld models are evaluated.It is found that the area contact method(ACM2) and weld element connection(CWELD) can give more precise prediction in modal analysis of these two classical structures,thus are more applicable to structural dynamic analysis of automotive BIW.Modal analysis of a classical BIW is performed,which further confirms this evaluation.The error function and deviation function proposed in this research can give guidance on the adaptability of spot weld models in structural dynamic analysis of BIW.And this evaluation method can also be adopted in evaluation of other finite element models in static,dynamic and other kinds of analysis for automotive structures. | LIANG Jianyong LIANG Jun FANG Guodong PAN Zimin LI Wei | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,1: | 9 |

| 7 | Evaluation of numerical ablation model for charring composites显示文摘Charring composites are widely used in the thermal protection system(TPS) to consume the intense aerodynamic heating during vehicle reentry. The ablation and thermal responses for the charring composites can be studied by using a numerical ablation model, in which the surface ablation and volume ablation could be taken into account. The coupling interactions among temperature, gas motion and interior pressure producing the pyrolysis gas could make the computation more complicated. A multi-physics model is developed to simulate the thermal response coupled with volume ablation and surface ablation. After studying four typical ablation cases, the model is validated, and then the heat transfer mechanisms in ablation are investigated. It is found that the viscous dissipation energy by the motion of pyrolysis gas can be neglected in the simulation. | 8 | Sodium Alginate/Carboxyl-Functionalized Graphene Composite Hydrogel Via Neodymium Ions Coordination显示文摘A facile method for the preparation of sodium alginate(SA)/carboxyl-functionalized graphene(G-COOH)composite hydrogel was developed. Based on the coordination ability of lanthanide ions to the carboxyl groups, a series of hydrogel derived from different ratios of SA and G-COOH was fabricated by neodymium(Nd^(3+)) ions coordination. A relatively uniform layered structure was recorded by SEM at the interior of SA/G-COOH hydrogel. Several parameters such as water content, swelling ratio(SR), tensile test and solvent resistance were also investigated. The SA/G-COOH composite hydrogel showed excellent mechanical strength, and the tensile strength of SA/G-COOH composite hydrogel reaches 53.72 MPa at high water content. | 9 | Effects of iron(hydr)oxides on the degradation of diethyl phthalate ester in heterogeneous(photo)-Fenton reactions显示文摘This work studied the structural effects of hematite(α-Fe2 O3), 2-line ferrihydrite(HFO) and goethite(α-FeOOH) on diethyl phthalate ester(DEP) degradation. The results showed that the degradation of DEP was faster under 365 nm light irradiation than in the dark in the presence of iron(hydr)oxides. The apparent kinetic rates of DEP degradation followed the order HFO > goethite ≈ hematite in the dark and HFO > hematite > goethite under 365 nm light irradiation. Two pathways governed H2 O2 decomposition efficiency on iron(hydr)oxide surfaces:(1) forming UOH on inherent surface hydroxyl groups(Fe-OH) and(2) producing O2 and H2 O on the surface oxygen vacancies. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) analyses indicated that HFO not only has high Fe-OH content but also has high Vo content, resulting in its low H2 O2 utilization efficiency(η). DEP was degraded through hydrogen abstraction and deesterification, and the major products were(OH)2-DEP, mono-ethyl phthalate(MEP), OH-MEP,and phthalate acid(PA). | 10 | Sustainability Evaluation of Different Systems for Sea Cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus) Farming Based on Emergy Theory显示文摘Emergy analysis is effective for analyzing ecological economic systems. However, the accuracy of the approach is affected by the diversity of economic level, meteorological and hydrological parameters in different regions. The present study evaluated the economic benefits, environmental impact, and sustainability of indoor, semi-intensive and extensive farming systems of sea cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus) in the same region. The results showed that A. japonicus indoor farming system was high in input and output(yield) whereas pond extensive farming system was low in input and output. The output/input ratio of indoor farming system was lower than that of pond extensive farming system, and the output/input ratio of semi-intensive farming system fell in between them. The environmental loading ratio of A. japonicus extensive farming system was lower than that of indoor farming system. In addition, the emergy yield and emergy exchange ratios, and emergy sustainability and emergy indexes for sustainable development were higher in extensive farming system than those in indoor farming system. These results indicated that the current extensive farming system exerted fewer negative influences on the environment, made more efficient use of available resources, and met more sustainable development requirements than the indoor farming system. A. japonicus farming systems showed more emergy benefits than fish farming systems. | 12 | Improved two-step hydrothermal process for acetic acid production from carbohydrate biomass显示文摘An improved two-step process for converting carbohydrate biomass to acetic acid under hydrothermal conditions is proposed. The first step consists of the production of lactic acid from carbohydrate biomass, and the second step consists of conversion of the lactic acid obtained in the first step to acetic acid using CuO as an oxidant. The results indicated that CuO as an oxidant in the second step can significantly improve the production of high-purity acetic acid from lactic acid, and the maximum yield of acetic acid was 61%, with a purity of 90%. The yield of acetic acid obtained using the improved two-step hydrothermal process from carbohydrate biomass, such as glucose, cellulose and starch, was greater than that obtained using traditional two-step process with H2O2 orO2. In addition, a proposed pathway for the production of acetic acid from lactic acid in the second step with CuO was also discussed.
