1Buyang Huanwu Decoction regulates neural stem cell behavior in ischemic brain显示文摘The traditional Chinese medicine Buyang Huanwu Decoction has been shown to improve the neurological function of patients with stroke.However,the precise mechanisms underlying its effect remain poorly understood.In this study,we established a rat model of cerebral ischemia by middle cerebral artery occlusion and intragastrically administered 5 g/kg Buyang Huanwu Decoction,once per day,for 1,7,14 and 28 days after cerebral ischemia.Immunohistochemical staining revealed a number of cells positive for the neural stem cell marker nestin in the cerebral cortex,the subventricular zone and the ipsilateral hippocampal dentate gyrus in rat models of cerebra ischemia.Buyang Huanwu Decoction significantly increased the number of cells positive for5-bromodeoxyuridine(BrdU),a cell proliferation-related marker,microtubule-associated protein-2,a marker of neuronal differentiation,and growth-associated protein 43,a marker of synaptic plasticity in the ischemic rat cerebral regions.The number of positive cells peaked at 14 and 28 days after intragastric administration of Buyang Huanwu Decoction.These findings suggest that Buyang Huanwu Decoction can promote the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells and enhance synaptic plasticity in ischemic rat brain tissue.Baiyan Liu Guangxian Cai Jian Yi Xuemei Chen 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,25:17
2Distribution and origin of aerosol and its transform relationship with CCN derived from the spring multi-aircraft measurements of Beijing Cloud Experiment(BCE)显示文摘The atmospheric aerosol distribution,source and relationship with cloud condensation nuclei(CCN) observed during the Beijing Cloud Experiment(BCE) are analyzed.The results show that the high number concentrations of aerosol mainly distributed below 4500 m,and the magnitude could reach to 103 cm 3.Above 4500 m,the aerosol number concentrations decreased to 101 cm 3 as the altitude increases,and the aerosol mean diameters were between 0.16 and 0.19 μm.Below 4500 m,the number size distributions of aerosol showed a bimodal(multimodal) mode,and an unimodal mode above it.Due to the different sources of aerosol,the conversion ratios of aerosol to CCN were less than 20% below 4500 m,and reached 50% above the level at 0.3% supersaturation.The back trajectories showed that aerosols at higher levels above 4500 m were strongly affected by large-size particles and those below 4500 m were strongly affected by local or regional pollution.Based on observations,a relationship between the CCN number concentration and aerosol number concentration is established.LU GuangXian GUO XueLiang 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,19:14

4Buyang Huanwu decoction increases vascular endothelial growth factor expression and promotes angiogenesis in a rat model of local cerebral ischemia显示文摘Angiogenesis in the infarct periphery can improve blood flow.Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) has been considered a potential therapeutic target for stroke.Buyang Huanwu decoction(BYHWD) is a classic traditional formula in traditional Chinese medicine and is used to treat stroke;in addition,the promotion effects on VEGF protein expression have been confirmed.However,little is known about how BYHWD regulates angiogenesis,or about the effects of BYHWD on VEGF mRNA expression.For this reason,the present study measured microvessel density in rats with cerebral ischemia using immunohistochemistry.In addition,VEGF expression was measured by reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to de-termine the effects of BYHWD on angiogenesis and VEGF expression in rats with cerebral ischemia.Results demonstrated that microvessel density,as well as VEGF mRNA and protein expression,increased after 7 and 14 days of BYHWD treatment,which suggests that BYHWD promoted an-giogenesis following cerebral ischemia and upregulated VEGF mRNA and protein expression in ischemic cerebral regions.Guangxian Cai Baiyan Liu 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,22:10
5THE 3-D BOUNDARY ELEMENT METHOD OF ROLLER BEARING BY PLATE ELEMENT ANALOGUE显示文摘The mill roller beating is made up of an internal ring,middle rolls and an external ring,theanalysis of whieh is a multi-bodies contact problem.In this paper,based on the three-dimensional elasticcontact BEM without friction,and using the structural characteristics of roller bearings,middle rolls are de-scribed by elastic plate units of different shapes,which is placed on the internal ring.The discontinuoustraction problem of the contact element can be dealt with by the traction sub-element method.Therefore thecontact problem can be changed froin one of multi-bodies to one of two-bodies.As an elastic deformation ofthe plate element,it can be calculated by an elastic contact formula and is regarded an an equivalent gap tobe put into the total matrix equality.The face-to-face contact condition of displacement and traction on theelement will nerve as the convergence judging condition.So convergence solution can be obtained before anygeometry inconsistent on the contact element may take place.Therefore,the three-dimensional distribution ofload of the mill roller bearing can be achieved,It has been proved that the calculating model of this methodis visualized and simple,has last convergence solution and higher accuracy,making it an effective numericalmethod of designing and analyzing load characteristics of the mill roller bearing.Shen Guangxian Shu xuedao Li Ming 2001Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2001,14,3:9

9Exosomal lncRNA FOXD3-AS1 upregulates ELAVL1 expression and activates PI3K/Akt pathway to enhance lung cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and 5-fluorouracil resistance显示文摘Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) FOXD3-AS1 expression is upregulated in lung cancer;however, its effect and mechanism on 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) resistance remain unclear. In this study, we determined the effects of FOXD3-AS1-enriched exosomes derived from lung cancer cells on the proliferation, invasion, and 5-FU resistance of lung cancer cells. Online bioinformatics database analysis showed that FOXD3-AS1 was upregulated in lung cancer progression. Real-time quantitative PCR results confirmed that FOXD3-AS1 expression was upregulated in lung cancer tissues and cell lines, and FOXD3-AS1 was greatly enriched in lung cancer cell-derived exosomes. ELAV-like RNA-binding protein 1 (ELAVL1) was identified as an RNA-binding protein of FOXD3-AS1. The lung cancer cell-derived exosomes promoted A549 cell proliferation and invasion and inhibited apoptosis caused by 5-FU, and transfection of si-FOXD3-AS1 or si-ELAVL1 in exosome-incubated A549 cells reversed these effects. Moreover, exosome-incubated A549 cells were co-transfected with si-FOXD3-AS1 and pcDNA-ELAVL1, showing the same cell proliferation, invasion, and 5-FU resistance as those of A549 cells treated with lung cancer cell-derived exosomes alone. Mechanistic studies identified that lung cancer cell-derived exosomes activated the PI3K/Akt pathway, and transfection of si-FOXD3-AS1 or treatment with the PI3K inhibitor LY294002 reversed the activation of the PI3K/Akt axis induced by exosomes. In conclusion, our study revealed that lung cancer cell-derived exosomal FOXD3-AS1 upregulated ELAVL1 expression and activated the PI3K/Akt pathway to promote lung cancer progression. 10Influence of Surface-functionalized Graphene Oxide on the Cell Morphology of Poly(methyl methacrylate) Composite显示文摘The surface chemistry of filler is closely related to the structure and morphology of nanocomposite foams.Changing the property of filler is widely used to control the cell structures and functionalize the composite foams.Surface-functionalized graphene oxide(GO-ODA) was prepared by grafting octadecylamine(ODA) on the surface of graphene oxide(GO) to make the filler disperse better in the nanocomposites and have a strong interfacial interaction with polymer matrix.Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)/GO-ODA nanocomposite foams were obtained by solution blending and foamed using supercritical carbon dioxide(scCO_2).Compared to neat PMMA and PMMA/GO samples,the PMMA/GO-ODA nanocomposite foams showed improved cell structures with smaller size,higher cell density and more homogeneous distribution,which should be attributed to the heterogeneous nucleation caused by well-dispersed GO-ODA nanosheets.This work not only improved the compatibility and interfacial interaction of GO with polymer matrix but also indicated that the modified GO sheets can act as ideal filler to control the cell density,size and size distribution efficiently.Yuwei Wang Xia Liao Yong Luo Qi Yang Guangxian Li 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,5:3
11Novel electric conductive polylactide/carbon nanotubes foams prepared by supercritical CO_2显示文摘In this paper,novel electric conductive polylactide/carbon nanotubes(PLA/CNTs) foams were fabricated by a pressure-quench process using supercritical CO2as a blowing agent.The morphology of PLA/CNTs nanocomposites prepared by solution blending was characterized using SEM and the results indicate that CNTs well dispersed in PLA matrix.The introduction of CNTs improved the thermal stability of PLA.The morphology and electrical properties of PLA/CNTs foams were characterized and discussed.Depending on the process parameters,such as saturation temperature and pressure,nanocellular or microcellular structure of PLA/CNTs nanocomposites were obtained.The volume resistivity of PLA/CNTs foams was from 0.53 103Ω cm to 15.13 103Ω cm,which was affected by cell structure and crystallization of foams oppositely.Foaming reduced the electrical conductivity due to the decrease of CNTs volume content and the break of conductive pathways.However,crystallization increased the electrical conductivity possibly because of the CNTs structural change in which the CNTs were less curled and more connected.Ting He Xia Liao Yunchuan He Guangxian Li 2013Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,4:3
