1A new feathered maniraptoran dinosaur fossil that fills a morphological gap in avian origin显示文摘Recent fossil discoveries have substantially reduced the morphological gap between non-avian and avian dinosaurs, yet avians including Archaeopteryx differ from non-avian theropods in their limb proportions. In particular, avians have proportionally longer and more robust forelimbs that are capable of supporting a large aerodynamic surface. Here we report on a new maniraptoran dinosaur, Anchiornis huxleyi gen. et sp. nov., based on a specimen collected from lacustrine deposits of uncertain age in western Liaoning, China. With an estimated mass of 110 grams, Anchiornis is the smallest known non-avian theropod dinosaur. It exhibits some wrist features indicative of high mobility, presaging the wing-folding mechanisms seen in more derived birds and suggesting rapid evolution of the carpus. Otherwise, Anchiornis is intermediate in general morphology between non-avian and avian dinosaurs, particularly with regard to relative forelimb length and thickness, and represents a transitional step toward the avian condition. 2Dispersion of ventricular mRNA of RyR2 and SERCA2 associated with arrhythmogenesis in rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of CPU86017 on the changes of mRNA abundance of different calcium handling system in infarcted heart. METHODS: Rats were subjected to left coronary ligation to induce myocardial infarc- tion (MI). The treatment with either propranolol (Pro) 5 mg/kg ip or CPU86017 1, 2, and 4 mg/kg ip was initiated on the next day of operation and continued for 20 d. Medication with isoproterenol (Isop) 3 mg/kg sc started on the d 17-21. Ventricular mRNA abundance of ryanodine receptor 2 (RyR2), sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA2), L-type Ca2+ channel, and Na+/Ca2+exchanger (NCX1) were measured. RESULTS: Arrhythmic scores (AS) in the Isop group was raised up to 5.27±1.75 (P<0.01) vs myocardial infarction group 2.25±2.04 and sham group 1.50±1.73. The AS was depressed by Pro (1.63±1.53, P<0.01 vs Isop), and CPU86017 2 and 4 mg/kg (3.00±1.24, and 1.70±1.85, P<0.01 vs Isop). The significant dispersion of depressed mRNA abundance of RyR2 and SERCA2 was associated with an increase in AS in Isop group, and it was much depressed in the left than the right ventricle. The dispersion and depression of mRNA were restored significantly by Pro and CPU86017, asso- ciated with suppression on AS. In Isop group, the mRNA abundance of L-type Ca2+ channel was not changed; and a moderate increase in the mRNA of NCX1 was seen, the changes were regressed by Pro and CPU86017. CONCLUSION: Isop-induced arrhythmogenesis in MI heart was correlated mainly with a dispersion of depressed mRNA abundance in ventricle likely due to the consequence of PKA over-phosphorylation. 5Evaluation of Mechanical Properties of Cross-Laminated Timber with Different Lay-ups Using Japanese Larch显示文摘Japanese larch is one of the main plantation tree species in China.A lack of engineered wood products made by Japanese larch,however,limits its application in wood stnuctures.In this study,based on optimum process parameters,such as pressure(12 MPa),adhesive spread rate(200 g/m^(2))and adhesive(one-component polyurethane),the mechanical properties of Japanese larch-made cross-laminated timber(CLT)with different lay-ups were evaluated by means of the static method.Results of this study showed that variations in lay-ups significantly affected the mechanical properties of CLT.The strength and modulus of bending and parallel compression for CLT increased with the thickness of lumber,while that of bending,parallel compression and rolling shear all decreased with the number of layers.Thickness,layup orientation and the number of layers all had an impact on the strength of CLT.Failure modes obtained from numerical simulation were basically the same as those of experimental tests.There was also strong alignment between theoretical value and test value for effective bending stifness and shear stifness.Thus,the shear analogy method can be used to predict the mechanical properties of CLT effectively.This study proved great potential in using Japanese larch wood for manufacturing CLT due to its good mechanical properties.Yingchun Gong Fenglu Liu Zhaopeng Tian Guofang Wu Haiqing Ren Cheng Guan 2019Journal of Renewable Materials2019,7,10:1

7NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF NON-PLANAR PLASTIC ANISOTROPY OF COLD ROLLING POLYCRYSTALLINE MATERIALS显示文摘The plastic anisotropy of sheet metal is usually caused by preferred orientation of grains, developed by mechanical deformation and thermal treatment. In the present study, a Taylor-like polycrystal model suggested by Asaro and Needleman is applied to investigate the evolution of the anisotropic behavior of a face centered cubic (FCC) polycrystalline metal, which is considered having {111} 110 slip systems, by stretching it along an arbitrary direction after it has undergone a plane-strain compression that rationally simulates the cold rolling process of FCC polycrystalline pure aluminium. By using the Taylor-like polycrystal model, pole fgures are obtained to describe the texture development of polycrystalline aggregate after plane-strain compression, and then the plastic anisotropy of polycrystalline aggregate is evaluated by stretch- ing the polycrystalline aggregate in different direction in term of yield stress. According to the results, the contours of longitudinal fow stress in three-dimensional orientation space are given and analyzed.
