1Prognostic value of systemic immune.inflammation index in patients with gastric cancer显示文摘Background:Inflammation-based indexes have been used to predict survival and recurrence in cancer patients.Systemic immune-inflammation index(Sll) was reported to be associated with prognosis in some malignant tumors.In the present study,we aimed to explore the association between Sll and the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed data from 444 gastric cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between January 1994 and December 2005.Preoperative Sll was calculated.The Chi square test or Fisher's exact test was used to determine the relationship between preoperative Sll and clinicopathologic characteristics.Overall survival(OS) rates were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method,and the effect of Sll on OS was analyzed using the Cox proportional hazards model.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were used to compare the predictive ability of Sll,NLR,and PLR.Results:Sll equal to or higher than 660 was significantly associated with old age,large tumor size,unfavorable Borrmann classification,advanced tumor invasion,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis,advanced TNM stage,and high carcino-embryonic antigen level,high neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio,and high platelet-lymphocyte ratio(all P<0.05).High Sll was significantly associated with unfavorable prognosis(P<0.001) and Sll was an independent predictor for OS(P=0.015).Subgroups analysis further showed significant associations between high Sll and short OS in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ subgroups(all P<0.05).Sll was superior to NLR and PLR for predicting OS in patients with gastric cancer.Conclusion:Preoperative Sll level is an independent prognostic factor for OS in patients with gastric cancer.Kang Wang Feiyu Diao Zhijun Ye Xinhua Zhang Ertao Zhai Hui Ren Tong Li Hui Wu Yulong He Shirong Cai Jianhui Chen 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer2017,36,9:30
2Enhanced high-temperature performance of Li-rich layered oxide via surface heterophase coating显示文摘Li-rich layered oxides have become one of the most concerned cathode materials for high-energy lithiumion batteries, but they still suffer from poor cycling stability and detrimental voltage decay, especially at elevated temperature. Herein, we proposed a surface heterophase coating engineering based on amorphous/crystalline Li3 PO4 to address these issues for Li-rich layered oxides via a facile wet chemical method. The heterophase coating layer combines the advantages of physical barrier effect achieved by amorphous Li3 PO4 with facilitated Li+diffusion stemmed from crystalline Li3 PO4. Consequently, the modified Li(1.2) Ni(0.2) Mn(0.6) O2 delivers higher initial coulombic efficiency of 92% with enhanced cycling stability at 55 °C(192.9 mAh/g after 100 cycles at 1 C). More importantly, the intrinsic voltage decay has been inhibited as well, i.e. the average potential drop per cycle decreases from 5.96 mV to 2.99 mV. 3Effects of nape acupuncture combined with swallowing rehabilitation on dysphagia in pseudobulbar palsy显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic effects of nape acupuncture combined with rehabilitative swallowing training for dysphagia caused by pseudobulbar palsy, and to compare it with rehabilitative swallowing training alone, and to observe the improvement in quality of life after the therapy.METHODS: One hundred patients were randomly divided into two groups: the rehabilitative swallowing training group(control group, n = 50) and the nape acupuncture combined with rehabilitative swallowing training group(experimental group,n = 50). Each group had 8 weeks' therapy, 5 times a week. Patients in the control group received rehabilitative swallowing training, while those in the experimental group received nape acupuncture therapy based on swallowing rehabilitation. The out-comes were assessed by the repetitive saliva-swallowing test(RSST), water swallow test(WST), standardized swallowing assessment(SSA), and a swallow quality-of-life questionnaire(SWAL-QOL). Correlations of onset age, onset frequency and lesion location with the efficacy of the acupuncture treatment were also observed.RESULTS: The scores for RSST, WST, and SSA in both groups were lower than before the therapy(P <0.001), although the changes were more marked in the experimental group than in the control group(RSST and WST, P < 0.005; SSA, P < 0.001). Both groups recorded changes in SWAL-QOL index after the therapy(P < 0.001); and the experimental group scored higher than the control group(P < 0.001). 4An air-stable and waterproof lithium metal anode enabled by wax composite packaging显示文摘The reviving use of lithium metal anode(LMA)is one of the most promising ways to upgrade the energy density of lithium ion batteries.In the roadmap towards the real use,besides the formation of the dendrite,various adverse reactions due to the high activity of LMA when exposed to air or the electrolyte limit its practical applications.Learning from the packaging technology in electronic industry,we propose a wax-based coating compositing with the ion conducting poly(ethylene oxide)by a simple dip-coating technology and the prepared LMA is featured with an air-stable and waterproof surface.The LMA thus remains stable for 24 h in ambient air even with the relative humidity of 70% while retaining about85% its electrochemical capacity.More importantly,the LMA is accessible to water and when dipping in water,no obvious adverse reactions or capacity decay is observed.With the composite coating,a steady cycling performance for 500 h in symmetrical cells and a low capacity decay rate of 0.075% per cycle after 300 cycles in lithium-sulfur batteries assembled with the packaged anode have been achieved.This work demonstrates a very simple and effective LMA package technology which is easily scalable and is very promising for speeding up the industrialization of lithium-sulfur batteries and shows potentials for the large-scale production of air-sensitive electrode materials not limited to LMAs.Yunbo Zhang Wei Lv Zhijia Huang Guangmin Zhou Yaqian Deng Jun Zhang Chen Zhang Boyu Hao Qi Qi Yan-Bing He Feiyu Kang Quan-Hong Yang 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,13:7
5Effect of Short-term Forest Bathing in Urban Parks on Perceived Anxiety of Young-adults: A Pilot Study in Guiyang, Southwest China显示文摘Forest can be taken as a natural therapy to alleviate perceived anxiety of visitors. Given the geographical difference between urban and rural forest environments, little is known about the urban forest therapy effect of anxiety alleviation with reference to the rural forest. In this study, forty-three university students(aged from 19 to 23) were recruited as participants to visit the forest parks at urban and rural areas of Guiyang City on 21 and 23 December 2016. The forest experience was separated by four sceneries. Participants were asked to complete questionnaires by self-evaluating specific anxiety change from 12 questions with scores from 1 to 10 at both entrance and exit of the parks. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test and paired t-test were used to compare the change of anti-anxiety scores during forest bathing and between urban and rural forests, respectively. Results revealed that forest bathing in the urban park can alleviate the anxiety from financial state(P = 0.0028), exam-pass pressure(P = 0.0040) and love-affair relationship(P = 0.0286). Although rural forest bathing can also alleviate the anxiety from financial state(P = 0.0222), meanwhile, it maintained the anxiety about campus life(P < 0.0001). Forest tree richness tended to be higher in the rural forest park than in the urban one, which in contrast decreased the anxiety alleviation from inter-communication in the rural forest park(P = 0.0487). Principle component analysis indicated that participants tended to perceive more decline of anxiety from social contact in the urban forest. In conclusion, university students were recommended to pay a short visit to the urban forest with partners if they felt anxious about personal affairs and felt necessary to talk with others. 9Experimental Study on the Viscoelastic Behaviors of Debris Flow Slurry显示文摘The rheological properties of most liquid in nature are between liquids and solids,including both elastic changes and viscosity changes,that is socalled 'viscoelastic'.Dynamic oscillatory test was used to quantitatively study the distinct viscoelastic behaviors of debris flow slurry in the shear stress conditions for the first time in this study.The debris flow slurry samples were from Jiangjiagou Ravine,Yunnan Province,China.The experimental results were found that at the low and middle stages of shearing,when the angular velocity ω<72.46 s-1,the loss modulus(G') was greater than the storage modulus(G'),i.e.G'>G'.At the late stage of shearing,when the angular velocity ω≧72.46 s-1,the storage modulus was greater than or equal to the loss modulus,i.e.G'≧G',tanδ≦1(where phase-shift angleδ=G'/G'),and the debris flow slurry was in a gel state.Therefore,the progress of this experimental study further reveals the mechanism of hyperconcentrated debris flows with a high velocity on low-gradient ravines.WANG Yuyi TAN Rongzhi HU Kaiheng CHEN Feiyue YANG Hongjuan ZHANGJinshan LV Juan 2012Journal of Mountain Science2012,9,4:3
10Optimistic fair exchange E-commerce protocol based on secret sharing显示文摘A key problem of electronic commerce (for short e-commerce) is fair exchange which guarantees that at the end of the transaction, either both parties involved in the transaction receive each other’s items or none do. A non-interactive optimistic fair exchange e-commerce protocol model based on the publicly verifiable secret sharing is presented. The main idea of our exchange protocol is to interchange verifiable and recoverable keys of the symmetric encryption for participants’ items. So it is especially suitable for exchange of large-size items. Furthermore, our protocol is efficient and simple as it does not need interactive proof system which has been adopted by a large quantity of previously proposed fair exchange protocols. 11Vertical Graphenes Grown on a Flexible Graphite Paper as an All-Carbon Current Collector towards Stable Li Deposition显示文摘Lithium(Li)metal has been regarded as one of the most promising anode materials to meet the urgent requirements for the next-generation high-energy density batteries.However,the practical use of lithium metal anode is hindered by the uncontrolled growth of Li dendrites,resulting in poor cycling stability and severe safety issues.Herein,vertical graphene(VG)film grown on graphite paper(GP)as an all-carbon current collector was utilized to regulate the uniform Li nucleation and suppress the growth of dendrites.The high surface area VG grown on GP not only reduces the local current density to the uniform electric field but also allows fast ion transport to homogenize the ion gradients,thus regulating the Li deposition to suppress the dendrite growth.The Li deposition can be further guided with the lithiation reaction between graphite paper and Li metal,which helps to increase lithiophilicity and reduce the Li nucleation barrier as well as the overpotential.As a result,the VG film-based anode demonstrates a stable cycling performance at a current density higher than 5mAcm^(-2)in half cells and a small hysteresis of 50mV at 1mAcm^(-2)in symmetric cells.This work provides an efficient strategy for the rational design of highly stable Li metal anodes.Zhijia Huang Debin Kong Yunbo Zhang Yaqian Deng Guangmin Zhou Chen Zhang Feiyu Kang Wei Lv Quan-Hong Yang 2020Research2020,,1:3
12Residual stress variation in SiC_(f)/SiC composite during heat treatment and its effects on mechanical behavior显示文摘Residual stress originated from thermal expansion mismatch determines the mechanical properties of ceramic matrix composites(CMCs).Here,continuous SiC fiber reinforced SiC matrix(SiC_(f)/SiC)composites were fabricated by nano-infiltration and transient eutectic-phase(NITE)method,and the residual stress of the composites was investigated using high-temperature Raman spectrometer.With temperature increasing from room temperature to 1400℃,the residual stresses of the matrix and the fiber decrease from 1.29 to 0.62 GPa and from 0.84 to 0.55 GPa in compression respectively,while that of the interphase decreases from 0.16 to 0.10 GPa in tension.The variation of residual stress shows little effect on the tensile strength of the composites,while causes a slight decrease in the tensile strain.The suppression of fiber/matrix debonding and fiber pulling-out caused by the residual stress reduction in the interphase is responsible for the decreasing tensile strain.This work can open up new alternatives for residual stress analysis in CMCs.Xiaowu CHEN Guofeng CHENG Junmin ZHANG Feiyu GUO Haijun ZHOU Chunjin LIAO Hongda WANG Xiangyu ZHANG Shaoming DONG 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,5:3

15PIWIL1 governs the crosstalk of cancer cell metabolism and immunosuppressive microenvironment in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Altered energy metabolism of cancer cells shapes the immune cell response in the tumor microenvironment that faclitates tumorprogression.Herein,we reported the novel of tumor cell-expressed Piwi Like RNA-Mediated Gene Silencing 1(PWL1)in mediatingthe crosstlk of fatty acid metabolism and immune response of human hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).PlWIL1 expression in HCCwas increased compared to normal hepatic tissues and was positively correlated with the proliferation rate of HCC cell ines.PIWL1overexpression accelerated in vitro proliferation and in vivo growth of HCC tumors,while PIWL1 knockdown showed opositeeffects.PIWL1 increased oxygen consumption and energy production via fatty acid metabolism without altering aerobic glycolysis.lnhibition of fatty acid metablism abolished PWIL1-induced HCC prolferation and growth.RNA-seq analysis revealed that immunesystem regulation might be involved,which was echoed by the experimental observation that PIWL1-overexpressing HCC cellsattracted myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)into the tumor microenvironment.MDSCs depletion reduced the prolferationand growth of PlWIL1-overexpressing HCC tumors.Complement C3,whose secretion was induced by PIWL1 in HCC cells,mediatesthe interaction of HCC cells with MDSCs by activated p38 MAPK signaling in MDSCs,which in turn initiated expression of immunosuppressive cytokine L10.Neutralizing lL10 secretion reduced the immunosuppressive activity of MDSCs in the microenvironment of PIWL1-overexpressing HCC.Taken together,our study unraveled the critical role of PIWL1 in initiating theinteraction of cancer cell metabolism and immune cell response in HCC.Tumor cell-expressed PlIWL1 may be a potential target forthe devellopment of novel HCC treatment.Ning Wang Hor-Yue Tan Yuanjun Lu Yau-Tuen Chan Di Wang Wei Guo Yu Xu Cheng Zhang Feiyu Chen Guoyi Tang Yibin Feng 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3:2
