1Thermal energy storage:Challenges and the role of particle technology显示文摘Thermal energy is at the heart of the whole energy chain providing a main linkage between the primary and secondary energy sources.Thermal energy storage(TES)has a pivotal role to play in the energy chain and hence in future low carbon economy.However,a competitive TES technology requires a number of scientific and technological challenges to be addressed including TES materials,TES components and devices,and integration of TES devices with energy networks and associated dynamic optimization.This paper provides a perspective of TES technology with a focus on TES materials challenges using molten salts based phase change materials for medium and high temperature applications.Two key challenges for the molten salt based TES materials are chemical incompatibility and low thermal conductivity.The use of composite materials provides an avenue to meeting the challenges.Such composite materials consist of a phase change material,a structural supporting material,and a thermal conductivity enhancement material.The properties of the supporting material could determine the dispersion of the thermal conductivity enhancement material in the salt.A right combination of the salt,the structural supporting material,and the thermal conductivity enhancement material could give a hierarchical structure that is able to encapsulate the molten salt and give a substantial enhancement in the thermal conductivity.Understanding of the structure-property relationships for the composite is essential for the formulation design and fabrication of the composite materials.Linking materials properties to the system level performance is recommended as a key future direction of research.Zhiwei Ge Yongliang Li Dacheng Li Ze Sun Yi Jin Chuanping Liu Chuan Li Guanghui Leng Yulong Ding 2014Particuology2014,12,4:20
2Endovascular treatment with or without intravenous alteplase for acute ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion显示文摘Background and purpose It remains controversial if endovascular treatment(EVT)can improve the outcome of patients with acute basilar artery occlusion(BAO).This study aims to compare the functional outcomes between EVT with and without intravenous thrombolysis(IVT)first in patients who had acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)due to BAO.Methods Patients who had AIS with BAO who underwent EVT within 24 hours of onset were enrolled in this multicentre cohort study,and the efficacy and safety were compared between IVT+EVT and direct EVT.The primary outcome was 90-day functional independence.All outcomes were assessed with adjusted OR(aOR)from the multivariable logistic regression.In addition,a meta-analysis was performed on all recently published pivotal studies on functional independence after EVT in patients with BAO.Results Of 310 enrolled patients with BAO,241(78%)were treated with direct EVT and 69(22%)with IVT+EVT.Direct EVT was associated with a worse functional outcome(aOR,0.46(95%CI 0.24 to 0.85),p=0.01).IVT+EVT was associated with a lower percentage of patients who needed≥3 passes of stent retriever(10.14%vs 20.75%).The meta-analysis regression revealed a potential positive correlation between bridging with IVT first and functional independence(r=0.14(95%CI 0.05 to 0.24),p<0.01).Conclusions This study showed that compared with direct EVT,EVT with IVT first was associated with better functional outcomes in patients with BAO treated within 24 hours of onset.The meta-analysis demonstrated similar favourable efficacy of IVT first followed by EVT in patients with BAO.Ximing Nie David Wang Yuehua Pu Yufei Wei Qixuan Lu Hongyi Yan Xin Liu Lina Zheng Jingyi Liu Xinxuan Yang Yarong Ding Dacheng Liu Wanying Duan Zhe Zhang Zhonghua Yang Miao Wen Weibin Gu Xinyi Hou Xinyi Leng Yuesong Pan Zhongrong Miao Liping Liu 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,3:10
3Two-dimensional self-healing hydrogen-bond-based supramolecula polymer film显示文摘Self-healing materials have been developed over the past decade with the recovery ability after damage.However,most researches focused on the self-healing process at three-dimension.Herein,we prepare monolayer self-healing hydrogen-bond-based supramolecular polymer film and explore the self-healing process at the two-dimensional limit.The healing process,which can be reversibly repeated for at least three times,is influenced by the temperature,the molecule-substrate interaction and the substrate roughness.In the application,the monolayer self-healing polymer film can be used to modify the SiO2 dielectric for copper phthalocyanine field effect transistor with improved mobility.This work will be valuable for developing two-dimensional functional self-healing materials in the future.Mengnan He Xiaosong Chen Donghua Liu Dacheng Wei 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,5:5

5Tranexamic acid for acute intracerebral haemorrhage growth based on imaging assessment (TRAIGE): a multicentre, randomised, placebo- controlled trial显示文摘Background Studies show tranexamic acid can reduce the risk of death and early neurological deterioration after intracranial haemorrhage.We aimed to assess whether tranexamic acid reduces haematoma expansion and improves outcome in intracerebral haemorrhage patients susceptible to haemorrhage expansion.Methods We did a prospective,double-blind,randomised,placebo-controlled trial at 10 stroke centres in China.Acute supratentorial intracerebral haemorrhage patients were eligible if they had indication of haemorrhage expansion on admission imaging(eg,spot sign,black hole sign or blend sign),and were treatable within 8 hours of symptom onset.Patients were randomly assigned(1:1)to receive either tranexamic acid or a matching placebo.The primary outcome was intracerebral haematoma growth(>33% relative or>6 mL absolute)at 24 hours.Clinical outcomes were assessed at 90 days.Results Of the 171 included patients,124(72.5%)were male,and the mean age was 55.9±11.6 years.89 patients received tranexamic acid and 82 received placebo.The primary outcome did not differ significantly between the groups:36(40.4%)patients in the tranexamic acid group and 34(41.5%)patients in the placebo group had intracranial haemorrhage growth(OR 0.96,95% CI 0.52 to 1.77,p=0.89).The proportion of death was lower in the tranexamic acid treatment group than placebo group(8.1%vs 10.0%),but there were no significant differences in secondary outcomes including absolute intracranial haemorrhage growth,death and dependency.Conclusions Among patients susceptible to haemorrhage expansion treated within 8 hours of stroke onset,tranexamic acid did not significantly prevent intracerebral haemorrhage growth.Larger studies are needed to assess safety and efficacy of tranexamic acid in intracerebral haemorrhage patients.Jingyi Liu Ximing Nie Hongqiu Gu Qi Zhou Haixin Sun Ying Tan Dacheng Liu Lina Zheng Jiahui Zhao Yan Wang Yibin Cao Haomeng Zhu Yunpeng Zhang Lijin Yi Yuehua Pu Miao Wen Zhonghua Yang Shengjun Sun Wenzhi Wang Xingquan Zhao Liping Liu Yongjun Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:3

8China Antihypertensive Trial in Acute Ischemic Stroke II (CATIS-2): rationale and design显示文摘Backgrounds Increased blood pressure(BP)for patients who had an acute ischaemic stroke is associated with poor functional outcome,however the optimal timing of antihypertensive therapy is unknown.Aims We aim to compare early antihypertensive treatment to delayed antihypertensive treatment for reducing the risk of composite major disability and mortality at 3 months in acute ischaemic stroke.Design The China Antihypertensive Trial in Acute Ischemic Stroke II(CATIS-2)trial is a multicentre,randomised,open-label,blinded-endpoints trial that will be conducted in 100 hospitals in China.The primary outcome is the composite of death and major disability(modified Rankin Scale score≥3)at 3 months of randomisation.Antihypertensive treatment will be received immediately after randomisation in the early treatment group,aimed at average systolic BP by 10%-20%reduction within the first 24 hours,and achieving an average BP level of<140/90 mm Hg within 5 days.Patients in the delayed treatment group will discontinue any antihypertension medications for the first 7 days of randomisation,and will receive antihypertensive therapy achieving a BP goal of<140/90 mm Hg after 7 days.Conclusion The CATIS-2 trial will be testing the hypotheses that early BP lowering leads to improved functional outcome without any other harms,and developing clinical guidelines of the BP management for patients who had an acute ischaemic stroke.Liping Liu Yilong Wang Xuewei Xie Dacheng Liu Aili Wang Penglian Wang Suwen Shen Chongke Zhong Yufei Wei Tan Xu Yuesong Pan Yong Jiang Xia Meng David Wang Yonghong Zhang Jiang He Yongjun Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:3
9Genetic Diversity of Chinese Medaka(Oryzias sinensis)in Dian Lake Drainage Area by ISSR Analysis显示文摘Chinese medaka(Oryzias sinensis),widely distributed in the plateau lakes,Yunnan Province,which was the indicative specie for the habitat quality of riparian zone in the wetland ecosystems and also was the key specie in the lake ecosystems,and also was one of the fishes who suffered the severe invasion of alien species.There,we investigated that the genetic diversity and population structure of the wild Chinese medaka by using inter-simple sequence repeat(ISSR)analysis.The samples(20 individuals in total)of Chinese medaka in three populations in the drainage area of Dian Lake were obtained.The 7 ISSR primers were picked out to assess the genetic diversity.The ISSR primers combinations revealed 82.69%polymorphism,among 52 genetic loci amplified.The sum of effective number of alleles and observed number of alleles were 1.492 4 and 1.826 9,respectively.The Shannon genetic diversity and Nei genetic diversity indexes of all the populations were 0.434 5 and 0.289 7,respectively.The gene differentiation(GST)was 0.198 9,and the gene flow(NM)was 2.013 2.The AMOVA demonstrated that only 6.65%of genetic variance came from inter-population,and 93.35%of genetic variance came from intra-population.Phylogenetic tree showed that 20 individuals from 3 populations were clustering mixed each other.Also,the principal coordinate analysis(PCA)supported the cluster analysis results.These results indicated that the genetic diversity of Oryzias sinensis was at the middle level,and there was no obvious genetic differentiation among the three populations of Oryzias sinensis.QIU Yuping LIU Yong SUN Dacheng CHEN Guozhu 2015湿地科学2015,13,5:2
10Haemostatic therapy in spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage patients with high-risk of haematoma expansion by CT marker: a systematic review and meta- analysis of randomised trials显示文摘Background and purpose Current randomised controlled trials(RCTs)showed an uncertain benefit of haemostatic therapy on preventing haematoma expansion and improving the outcome in patients with intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH).This meta-analysis aims to systematically evaluate the effect of haemostatic agents on the prevention of haemorrhage growth in patients with high-risk spontaneous ICH predicted by CT signs in RCTs.Methods A comprehensive search of PubMed,EMBASE and Cochrane library from 1 January 2005 to 30 June 2021 was conducted.RCTs that compared haemostatic agents with placebo for the treatment of spontaneous patients with ICH with high-risk haemorrhage growth were included.The primary endpoint was haematoma expansion at 24 hours.Other major endpoints of interest included 90-day functional outcome and mortality.Results The meta-analysis included four RCTs that randomised 2666 patients with ICH with high-risk haemorrhage growth.Haemostatic therapy reduced the rate of haematoma expansion at a marginally statistically significant level when compared with placebo(OR 0.84;95% CI 0.70 to 1.00;p=0.051).Subgroup analysis for patients with black hole sign on CT revealed a significant reduction of haematoma expansion with haemostatic therapy(OR 0.61;95% CI 0.39 to 0.94;p=0.03).However,both the primary analysis and subgroup analyses showed that haemostatic therapy could not reduce the rate of poor functional outcome(modified Rankin Scale>3)or death.Conclusions Haemostatic therapy showed a marginally significant benefit in reducing early haematoma expansion in patients with high-risk spontaneous ICH predicted by markers on CT scan.However,no significant improvement in functional outcome or reduction of mortality was observed.Ximing Nie Jingyi Liu Dacheng Liu Qi Zhou Wanying Duan Yuehua Pu Zhonghua Yang Miao Wen Haixin Sun Wenzhi Wang Shengjun Sun Hongqiu Gu Liping Liu 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:2

12Suppression of ETI by PTI priming to balance plant growth and defense through an MPK3/MPK6-WRKYs-PP2Cs module显示文摘Pattern-triggered immunity(PTI)and effector-triggered immunity(ETI)are required for host defense against pathogens.Although PTI and ETI are intimately connected,the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive.In this study,we demonstrate that flg22 priming attenuates Pseudomonas syringae pv.tomato DC3000(Pst)AvrRpt2-induced hypersensitive cell death,resistance,and biomass reduction in Arabidopsis.Mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPKs)are key signaling regulators of PTI and ETI.The absence of MPK3 and MPK6 significantly reduces pre-PTI-mediated ETI suppression(PES).We found that MPK3/MPK6 interact with and phosphorylate the downstream transcription factor WRKY18,which regulates the expression of AP2C1 and PP2C5,two genes encoding protein phosphatases.Furthermore,we observed that the PTI-suppressed ETI-triggered cell death,MAPK activation,and growth retardation are significantly attenuated in wrky18/40/60 and ap2c1 pp2c5 mutants.Taken together,our results suggest that the MPK3/MPK6-WRKYs-PP2Cs module underlies PES and is essential for the maintenance of plant fitness during ETI.Dacheng Wang Lirong Wei Ting Liu Jinbiao Ma Keyi Huang Huimin Guo Yufen Huang Lei Zhang Jing Zhao Kenichi Tsuda Yiming Wang 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,5:1

15Graphene plasmonic nanoresonators/graphene heterostructures for efficient room-temperature infrared photodetection显示文摘High-performance infrared(IR)photodetectors made by low dimensional materials promise a wide range of applications in communication,security and biomedicine.Moreover,light-harvesting effects based on novel plasmonic materials and their combinations with two-dimensional(2 D)materials have raised tremendous interest in recent years,as they may potentially help the device complement or surpass currently commercialized IR photodetectors.Graphene is a particularly attractive plasmonic material because graphene plasmons are electrically tunable with a high degree of electromagnetic confinement in the mid-infrared(mid-IR)to terahertz regime and the field concentration can be further enhanced by forming nanostructures.Here,we report an efficient mid-IR room-temperature photodetector enhanced by plasmonic effect in graphene nanoresonators(GNRs)/graphene heterostructure.The plasmon polaritons in GNRs are size-dependent with strong field localization.Considering that the size and density of GNRs are controllable by chemical vapor deposition method,our work opens a cost-effective and scalable pathway to fabricate efficient IR optoelectronic devices with wavelength tunability.Tian Sun Weiliang Ma Donghua Liu Xiaozhi Bao Babar Shabbir Jian Yuan Shaojuan Li Dacheng Wei Qiaoliang Bao 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,7:1
