2二期尿道成型术更适合于需要横断尿道板并伴有严重弯曲畸形的近段型尿道下裂显示文摘对于伴有严重阴茎弯曲的尿道下裂,横断尿道板后是选择一期还是二期手术仍存在争议。这项回顾性研究比较评价了这两种方法的优劣。本研究共收集66例伴有严重阴茎弯曲的近端型尿道下裂的患者,根据手术方式分成两组,其中32例行一期手术(Duckett),34例行二期手术。一期和二期手术组的中位年龄分别为7.5岁和11.0岁,中位随访时间分别为28.5个月和35个月。所有患者术后尿道外口均位于龟头顶端。随访期间无患者出现阴茎弯曲复发,患者及其家属对阴茎的长度和外观均满意。术后两组各有8例患者出现并发症,两组间并发症率无统计学差异。一期手术尿道狭窄的远期并发症率高j(18.75%1,JO%)。在一期手术组中,青春期前患者的并发症率显著低于青春期后患者(10.52%w46.15%3。中期随访结果提示,横断尿道板可有效矫正近端型尿道下裂合并的重度阴茎弯曲。考虑到一期手术组中较高的尿道狭窄发生率,本文认为分期手术更适合伴有严重阴茎弯曲需要横断尿道板的近端型尿道下裂。Da-Chao Zheng Hai-Jun Yao Zhi-Kang Cai Jun Da Qi Chen Yan-Bo Chen Ke Zhang Ming-Xi Xu Mu-Jun Lu Zhong Wang 2015Asian Journal of Andrology2015,17,1:13
3A two-step lineage reprogramming strategy to generate functionally competent human hepatocytes from fibroblasts显示文摘Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming,which is,however,hindered by incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy by mimicking the natural regeneration route, which permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor cells and functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into human hepatic progenitor-like cells (hHPLCs), which could robustly expand in vitro and efficiently engraft in vivo. Moreover, hHPLCs could be efficiently induced into mature human hepatocytes (hiHeps) in vitro, whose molecular identity highly resembles primary human hepatocytes (PHHs). Most importantly, hiHeps could be generated in large quantity and were functionally competent to replace PHHs for drug-metabolism estimation, toxicity prediction and hepatitis B virus infection modeling. Our results highlight the advantages of the progenitor stage for successful lineage reprogramming. 4Ectopic expression of soybean GmKNT1 in Arabidopsis results in altered leaf morphology and flower identity显示文摘Plant morphology is specified by leaves and flowers, and the shoot apical meristem (SAM) defines the architecture of plant leaves and flowers. Here, we reported the characterization of a soybean KNOX gene GmKNT1, which was highly homologous to Arabidopsis STM. The GmKNT1 was strongly expressed in roots, flowers and developing seeds. Its expression could be induced by IAA, ABA and JA, but inhibited by GA or cytokinin. Staining of the transgenic plants overexpressing GmKNT1-GUS fusion protein revealed that the GmKNT1 was mainly expressed at lobe region, SAM of young leaves, sepal and carpel, not in seed and mature leaves. Scanning electron micros-copy (SEM) disclosed multiple changes in morphology of the epidermal cells and stigma. The transgenic Arabidopsis plants overexpress-ing the GmKNT1 showed small and lobed leaves, shortened internodes and small clustered inflorescence. The lobed leaves might result from the function of the meristems located at the boundary of the leaf. Compared with wild type plants, transgenic plants had higher ex-pression of the SAM-related genes including the CUP, WUS, CUC1, KNAT2 and KNAT6. 5Multiple Components are Integrated to Determine Leaf Complexity in Lotus japonicus显示文摘Transcription factors and phytohormones have been reported to play crucial roles to regulate leaf complexity among plant species. Using the compound-leafed species Lotus japonicus, a model legume plant with five visible leaflets, we characterized four independent mutants with reduced leaf complexity, proliferating floral meristem (pfm), proliferating floral organ-2 (pfo-2), fused leaflets1 (ful1) and umbrella leaflets (uml), which were further identified as loss-of-function mutants of Arabidopsis orthologs LEAFY (LFY ), UNUSUAL FLORAL ORGANS (UFO), CUP-SHAPED COTYLEDON 2 (CUC2) and PIN-FORMED 1 (PIN1), respectively. Comparing the leaf development of wild-type and mutants by a scanning electron microscopy approach, leaflet initiation and/or dissection were found to be affected in these mutants. Expression and phenotype analysis indicated that PFM/LjLFY and PFO/LjUFO determined the basipetal leaflet initiation manner in L. japonicus. Genetic analysis of ful1 and uml mutants and their double mutants revealed that the CUC2-like gene and auxin pathway also participated in leaflet dissection in L. japonicus, and their functions might influence cytokinin biogenesis directly or indirectly. 6Advances in lithium niobate photonics:development status and perspectives显示文摘Lithium niobate(LN)has experienced significant developments during past decades due to its versatile properties,especially its large electro-optic(EO)coefficient.For example,bulk LN-based modulators with high speeds and a superior linearity are widely used in typical fiber-optic communication systems.However,with everincreasing demands for signal transmission capacity,the high power and large size of bulk LN-based devices pose great challenges,especially when one of its counterparts,integrated silicon photonics,has experienced dramatic developments in recent decades.Not long ago,high-quality thin-film LN on insulator(LNOI)became commercially available,which has paved the way for integrated LN photonics and opened a hot research area of LN photonics devices.LNOI allows a large refractive index contrast,thus light can be confined within a more compact structure.Together with other properties of LN,such as nonlinear/acousto-optic/pyroelectric effects,various kinds of high-performance integrated LN devices can be demonstrated.A comprehensive summary of advances in LN photonics is provided.As LN photonics has experienced several decades of development,our review includes some of the typical bulk LN devices as well as recently developed thin film LN devices.In this way,readers may be inspired by a complete picture of the evolution of this technology.We first introduce the basic material properties of LN and several key processing technologies for fabricating photonics devices.After that,various kinds of functional devices based on different effects are summarized.Finally,we give a short summary and perspective of LN photonics.We hope this review can give readers more insight into recent advances in LN photonics and contribute to the further development of LN related research.Guanyu Chen Nanxi Li Jun Da Ng Hong-Lin Lin Yanyan Zhou Yuan Hsing Fu Lennon Yao Ting Lee Yu Yu Ai-Qun Liu Aaron J.Danner 2022Advanced Photonics2022,4,3:6
7Different expression patterns of duplicated PHANTASTICA-like genes in Lotus japonicus suggest their divergent functions during compound leaf development显示文摘Recent studies on leaf development demonstrate that the mechanism on the adaxial-abaxial polarity pattern formation could be well conserved among the far-related species, in which PHANTASTICA (PAHN)-like genes play important roles. In this study, we explored the conservation and diversity on functions of PHAN-like genes during the compound leaf development in Lotus japonicus, a papilionoid legume. Two PHAN-like genes in L. japonicus, LjPHANa and LjPHANb, were found to originate from a gene duplication event and displayed different expression patterns during compound leaf development. Two mutants, reduced leaflets1 (rel1) and reduced leaflets3 (rel3), which exhibited decreased adaxial identity of leaflets and reduced leaflet initiation, were identified and investigated. The expression patterns of both LjPHANs in rel mutants were altered and correlated with abnormalities of compound leaves. 11Simulation of drop breakage in liquid–liquid system by coupling of CFD and PBM: Comparison of breakage kernels and effects of agitator configurations显示文摘This work focuses on drop breakage for liquid-liquid system with an adoption of numerical simulation by using computational fluid dynamics and population balance model (PBM) coupled with two-fluid model (TFM). Two different breakage kernels based on identical breakage mechanism but different descriptions of breaking time are take n into account in this work. Eight cases corresp on ding to distinct configurations of agitator are carried out to validate numerical predictions, namely agitators with different porosity and hole diameters, respectively implemented in Cases 1 to 5 and Cases 6 to 8. The results are compared with experimental data for testing the applicability of both kernels. Simulations are implemented, in this work, with an approach of class method for the solution of population balance model by the special-purpose computational fluid dynamics solver Fluent 16.1 based on finite volume method, and the grids used for meshing the solution domain are accomplished in a commercial software Gambit 2.4.6. The effects of configurations of agitator corresponding to different parameters mentioned above on final Sauter mean diameter are equally concentrated in this work. Analysis of both kernels and comparisons with experimental results reveal that, the second kernel has more decent agreement with experiments, and the results of investigations on effects of agitator configurations show that the in fluences of these parameters on Sauter mean diameter are marginal, but appropriate porosity and hole diameter are actually able to decrease Sauter mean diameter.
