1A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay strip for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis japonica in domestic animals显示文摘Background:Schistosomiasis remains a major public health concern in China and an epidemiological survey has revealed that schistosome-infected bovines and goats are the main transmission sources for the disease.Therefore,development of a sensitive technique for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in domestic animals is necessary.Method:A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay(GICA)strip was developed for detecting Schistosoma japonicum in domestic animals.The colloidal gold was conjugated with recombinant streptococcal protein G(rSPG).As the test and control lines,the schistosome soluble egg antigen and rSPG,respectively,were blotted on nitrocellulose membrane.Results:The lowest detectable serum dilution was 1∶640 for schistosome-infected buffaloes.The cross-reaction rate of GICA was 14.29%with Paramphistomum sp.in buffaloes,16.67%with Haemonchus sp.in goats,and 33.33%with Orientobilharzia sp.in goats.These results were slightly lower and similar to those obtained through ELISA.Moreover,the strips for detecting S.japonicum in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats showed high sensitivity(100.00%,100.00%,100.00%,and 100.00%,respectively)and specificity(100.00%,100.00%,94.23%,and 88.64%,respectively).And the sensitivity or specificity of the GICA strips did not present any significant differences after storage for 12 months at room temperature.When compared with ELISA,the GICA strips exhibited similar sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats.Besides,only 5μl of serum are required for the test and the detection can be completed within 5 min.Conclusion:This study is the first to develop a GICA strip using gold-rSPG conjugate for the diagnosing of schistosomiasis in domestic animals,and preliminary results showed that the developed strip may be suitable for large-scale screening of schistosomiasis in endemic areas.Rui Xu Jintao Feng Yang Hong Chao Lv Dengyun Zhao Jiaojiao Lin Ke Lu Hao Li Jinming Liu Xiaodan Cao Tao Wang Jinli Zai Zhaozhe Wang Bingguang Jia Qian Han Chuangang Zhu 2017Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1:12
2Electrochemical Studies of Lithium Intercalation into Graphite Film Electrode for Li^+-ion Batteries显示文摘To study the electrochemical kinetic properties of the Li/Graphite system, cycle voltammerty (CV), ac-impedance and chro- noamperometry (CA) techniques have been used. The results showed that the diffusion of lithium ions in LixC6 is the rate-determining step. The chemical diffusion coefficients of lithium (DLi) have been estimated for different x values. 3p53 deficiency-induced Smad1 upregulation suppresses tumorigenesis and causes chemoresistance in colorectal cancers显示文摘The DNA damage response helps to maintain genome integrity,suppress tumorigenesis,and mediate the effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Our previous studies have shown that Smad1 is upregulated and activated by Atm in DNA damage response,which can further bind to p53 and promote p53 stabilization.Herewe report another aspect of the interplay between p53 and Smad1.Comparison of rectal tumor against paired paraneoplastic specimens and analysis of>500 colorectal tumors revealed that Smad1 was upregulated in tumor samples,which was attributable to p53 defects.Using MEFs as a model,we found that knockdown of the elevated Smad1 in p532/2 MEFs promoted cell proliferation,E1A/Ras-induced cell transformation,and tumorigenesis.Mechanistic studies suggest that elevated Smad1 and momentary activation inhibit cell proliferation by upregulating p57Kip2 and enhancing Atm–Chk2 activation.Surprisingly,elevated Smad1 appears to have a negative effect on chemotherapy,as colorectal tumors,primary cancer cells,and cell lines with Smad1 knockdown all showed an increase in chemosensitivity,which could be attributable to elevated p57Kip2.These findings underscore the significance of Smad1–p53 interaction in tumor suppression and reveal an unexpected role for Smad1 in chemoresistance of colorectal cancers.Xinsen Ruan Qiao Zuo Hao Jia Jenny Chau Jinlin Lin Junping Ao Xuechun Xia Huijuan Liu Samy LHabib Chuangang Fu Baojie Li 2015Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2015,7,2:2

6Large-scale production of holey carbon nanosheets implanted with atomically dispersed Fe sites for boosting oxygen reduction electrocatalysis显示文摘Atomically dispersed metals stabilized by nitrogen elements in carbon skeleton hold great promise as alternatives for Pt-based catalysts towards oxygen reduction reaction in proton exchange membrane fuel cells.However,their widespread commercial applications are limited by complicated synthetic procedures for mass production.Herein,we are proposing a simple,green mechanochemical approach to synthesize zeolitic imidazolate frameworks precursors for the production of atomically dispersed“Fe-N_(4)”sites in holey carbon nanosheets on a large scale.The thin porous carbon nanosheets(PCNs)with atomically dispersed“Fe-N_(4)”moieties can be prepared in hectogram scale by directly pyrolysis of salt-sealed Fe-based zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(Fe-ZIF-8@NaCl)precursors.The PCNs possess large specific surface area,abundant lamellar edges and rich“Fe-N_(4)”active sites,and show superior catalytic activity towards oxygen reduction reaction in an acid electrolyte.This work provides a promising approach to cost-effective production of atomically dispersed transition metal catalysts on large scale for practical applications.Xuanni Lin Lei Shi Feng Liu Changcheng Jiang Junjie Mao Chuangang Hu Dong Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:1
7Fabrication of Baking-Free Bricks Using Gold Tailings and Cemented Materials with Low Alkalinity显示文摘The purpose of this paper was using gold mine tailings and cemented materials with low alkalinity to fabricate baking-free bricks.The obtained baking-free brick samples were evaluated by unconfined compressive strength(UCS),water absorption percentage,freezing-thawing cycle,and drying-wetting cycle.The microstructures of the baking-free brick samples were analyzed using X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscope(SEM)techniques.The baking-free brick specimens cured for 28 days with the addition of 10%mixing water consumption and 1:6 cement/tailing ratio tended to obtain favorable comprehensive properties such as a high compressive strength of 15.15 MPa,a low water absorption percentage of 11.8%,excellent freezing-thawing resistance with a 8.9%UCS loss rate after 15 freezing-thawing cycles and good drying-wetting resistance with a 11%UCS loss rate after 10 drying-wetting cycles.The XRD and SEM test results verified that different kinds of hydrate products including C-S-H and C-S-A-H gels,and ettringite were produced during hydration process,which were responsible for good physical,mechanical properties,and durability of the obtained baking-free bricks.Therefore,the experimental results showed that it was practical and reasonable to utilize the homemade cementitious materials in our laboratory to stabilize the gold tailings for production of baking-free bricks,which still met the requirements of major regional construction standards in some countries.Jiamao Li Tao Si Lin Li Chuangang Fan Zhaofang He Yuandi Qian 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,11:0
8Comparative study of LiNiO_2, LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0. 2)O_2 and LiNi_(0.75)Al_(0.25)O_2 for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘The comparative study of LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 and LiNi0.75Al0.25O2 was carried out by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electrochemical methods. The results show that Co and Al doping suppress the phase transition during charge-discharge. The experiments indicate that LiNi0.75Al0.25O2 has the better cycle-ability and over-charge resistance comparing with LiNi0.8Co0.2O2. The interfacial behavior was studied by use of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). 9Utilization of Low-Alkalinity Cementitious Materials in Cemented Paste Backfill of Gold Mine Tailings显示文摘The purpose of this paper was to explore the possility of using low alkalinity cementitious materials as binders,in which ground blast furnace slag and fly ash acted as a partial replacement of ordinary Portland cement,and CaSO_(4),Na_(2)SO_(4),and CaO were used as a sulfate activator and alkali activated additives,to solidify gold mine tail-ings for preparation of a green,inexpensive cemented paste backill(CPB).For this target,the effects of cement/tailings ratio,superplasticizer dosage,solid content,tailings fineness on the mechanical properties of the CPB were inves tigated.Additionally,the hydration mechanism of the CPB was analyzed based on X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy results.The results showed that the fuidity of the CPB slurry could be improved by adding polycarboxylic acid superplasticizer.The unconfined compressive strength(UCS)of the CPB specimens was increased with the increase of cement/tailings ratio and solid content.Under the same experi-mental conditions,the 28 d UCS of the CPB specimens was 3.8-4.9 times higher than that of ordinary Portland cement.The softening coefficient of the CPB specimens was increased with the increasing cement/tailings ratio,ranging from 0.83 to 0.92.The shrinkage rate of the CPB specimens was decreased from 0.70%to 0.54%with the increase of cement/tailings ratio from 1:12 to 1:4 The UCS of the full tailings CPB was the highest,followed by the fine tailings CPB specimens,and the UCS of the coarse tailings CPB specimens was the lowest.The low alka-linity binder was proved to be a promising material to improve the engineering performances of the CPB.The optimal mixing ratio is 1:6 cement/tailings ratio,0.15 wt% superplastizer dosage,and 70 wt%solid content.Pre-pared by this mixing ratio,the UCS values of the CPB after 3,7,and 28 d curing ages reached 1.85,5.87,and 9.16 MPa,respectively,which were suitable as CPB for the Zhaoyuan gold mine in terms of strength requirements.Jiamao Li Chuimin Zhang Lin Li Chuangang Fan Zhaofang He Yuandi Qian 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,12:0
