1Altered Resting-State Signals in Patients with Acute Stroke In or Under the Thalamus显示文摘Previous studies have suggested that cortical functional reorganization is associated with motor recovery after stroke and that normal afferent sensory information is very important in that process.In this study,we selected patients who had a stroke in or under the thalamus,with potentially impaired afferent sensory information and analyzed the differences between these patients and healthy controls at three levels:brain regions,the functional connectivity between brain areas,and the whole-brain functional network.Compared with healthy controls,regional homogeneities in the left middle temporal gyrus decreased and functional connectivity between the left middle temporal gyrus and the stroke area increased in the patients.However,there was no significant change in the wholebrain functional network.By focusing on stroke located in or under the thalamus,our study contributes to wider inquiries into understanding and treating stroke.Lijun Chen Chuanfu Li Jian Zhai Anqin Wang Qin Song Ying Liu Ru Ma Long Han Yamikani Ndasaukas Xiaoming Li Hai Li Xiaochu Zhang 2016Neuroscience Bulletin2016,32,6:6
2Modeling the impact of the viaduct on particles dispersion from vehicle exhaust in street canyons显示文摘In this paper,the impact of the viaduct on flow and traffic exhausting particles dispersion within urban street canyons was nu-merically simulated using a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) model.Two-dimensional flow and dispersion of particles from traffic exhausts were modeled using the standard k-? turbulence model.The street canyons with a viaduct at different widths and different heights above the ground are simulated.The results show that the airflow in street canyon is evidently in-fluenced by the viaduct:The position of the main vortex center is changed,especially there are two strong vortexes when the viaduct is placed at 10 m height above the ground.It is found based on the study of the particles number concentrations(PNCs) that the viaduct may mitigate the pollution level in the street canyon sometimes.The impact of the viaduct width on PNCs is stronger than that of the height.The study of PNDs reveals that the mean PNCs at the wall of upwind building increase when a viaduct is placed in street canyon.In addition,it is found based on the study of mean particles residence time(PRT) that the removal of the particles strongly correlates to the mean PNCs.The results indicate that the viaduct is an important factor to in-fluence the flow patterns and particles dispersion in street canyons.ZHANG ChuanFu WEN Mou ZENG JianRong ZHANG GuiLin FANG HaiPing LI Yan 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,1:5
3Acupuncture inhibits cue-induced heroin craving and brain activation显示文摘Previous research using functional MRI has shown that specific brain regions associated with drug dependence and cue-elicited heroin craving are activated by environmental cues. Craving is an important trigger of heroin relapse, and acupuncture may inhibit craving. In this study, we performed functional MRI in heroin addicts and control subjects. We compared differences in brain activation between the two groups during heroin cue exposure, heroin cue exposure plus acupuncture at the Zusanli point (ST36) without twirling of the needle, and heroin cue exposure plus acupuncture at the Zusanli point with twirling of the needle. Heroin cue exposure elicited significant activation in craving-related brain regions mainly in the frontal lobes and callosal gyri. Acupuncture without twirling did not significantly affect the range of brain activation induced by heroin cue exposure, but significantly changed the extent of the activation in the heroin addicts group. Acupuncture at the Zusanli point with twirling of the needle significantly decreased both the range and extent of activation induced by heroin cue exposure compared with heroin cue exposure plus acupuncture without twirling of the needle. These experimental findings indicate that presentation of heroin cues can induce activation in craving-related brain regions, which are involved in reward, learning and memory, cognition and emotion. 4Pilot-scale experiments on multilevel contact oxidation treatment of poultry farm wastewater using saran lock carriers under different operation model显示文摘A pilot-scale multilevel contact oxidation reactors system, coupled with saran lock carriers,was applied for the treatment of poultry farm wastewater. The removal efficiencies of CODcr, ammonia, and the total nitrogen as well as the elimination performance of CODcr and total nitrogen along the three-level contact oxidation tanks under six designed operational models were investigated. Based on the performance of the nitrogen removal of the saran lock carriers and the distribution of anoxic–aerobic interspace under the suitable operation model, the mechanism of nitrogen removal of the system was also explored. The results revealed that the intermittent aeration under parallel model is the most suitable operation model, while the removal efficiencies of CODcr, ammonia, and the total nitrogen were 86.86%, 84.04%, and 80.96%, respectively. The effluent concentration of CODcr,ammonia, and the total nitrogen were 55.6 mg/L, 8.3 mg/L, and 12.0 mg/L, which satisfy both the discharge standard of pollutants for livestock and poultry breeding industry(GB18596–2001) and the first grade of the integrated wastewater discharge standard(GB 8978–1996). Moreover, the mechanism for the nitrogen removal should be attributed to the plenty of anoxic–aerobic interspaces of the biofilm and the three-dimensional spiral structure of the saran lock carriers, where the oxygen-deficient distribution was suitable for the happening of the simultaneous nitrification and denitrification process. 5贝尔麻痹影响大脑默认模式网络的功能连接(英文)显示文摘目的贝尔麻痹是一种常见的特发性面神经病变,导致病变侧的面部肌肉运动功能丧失。作者探讨了贝尔麻痹对大脑默认模式网络(DMN)功能连接的影响。材料与方法使用1.5 T MR成像仪获取静息态f MRI数据,包括健康志愿者35名及不同病理状态下的面瘫患者52例次。使用双重回归独立成分分析方法处理数据。结果发现面瘫不同病理状态下DMN的功能连接发生了不同的变化。在面瘫疾病早期,DMN功能连接在右侧初级感觉皮层、初级运动皮层、背外侧前额叶显著增强;在面瘫后期,DMN功能连接在双侧中扣带回、楔前叶、右侧富内侧前额叶、后扣带回显著增强;在面瘫康复后,DMN功能连接在左侧舌回、小脑显著增强。结论在面瘫不同病理阶段,DMN的功能连接存在着明显的不同,涉及到感觉运动,运动映射,情感以及认知等不同功能脑区。Abdalla Z Mohamed Chuanfu Li Jeungchan Lee Seulgi Eun Yifang Zhu Yuanyuan Wu Jun Yang Kyungmo Park 2014磁共振成像2014,5,6:2

8Tradeoffanalysis of the pork supply and food security under the influence of African swine fever and the COVID-19 outbreak in China显示文摘China is the world’s largest consumer of pork and grains.However,African swine fever(ASF)and the COVID-19 outbreak have greatly impacted the pork supply and food security in China.How can food security and the pork supply be ensured under the dual impacts of COVID-19 and ASF?This is a major problem to be urgently solved by the Chinese government.This study indicated that the main pork production and sales areas in China were separated,which reflected the spatial imbalance between the supply and demand.The total area of suitable selected sites for pig farms in China is 21.5 million ha.If only the areas with levels of high and moderate suitability are considered as potential sites for pig farms,the potential pork production can reach 56.1 million tons in China,which is slightly lower than demand.Due to the impact of the ASF epidemic,the food consumed by pigs has been reduced by 34.7 million tons.However,with increasing pork productivity in the future,the self-sufficiency rate of grains may further decline.On the premise that the quality of people’s life is not affected,the diversification of meat supply channels should be realized in an orderly and sustainable way,which might alleviate the pressure on food supply.This study provides a theoretical reference for the spatiotemporal layout of the swine industry and addresses the issue of food security in China under the influence of ASF and the COVID-19 outbreak.Huizong Yao Chuanfu Zang Xiaoxing Zuo Yuyang Xian Yongquan Lu Yutong Huang Xianbing Li 2022Geography and Sustainability2022,3,1:1
