1Surface integrity and fatigue behavior when turning γ-TiAl alloy with optimized PVD-coated carbide inserts显示文摘This paper presents a comprehensive investigation on the effects of tool and turning parameters on surface integrity and fatigue behavior in turning c-Ti Al alloy. The wear of inserts surface, cutting forces, and surface roughness were studied to optimize PVD-coated carbide inserts.Surface topography, residual stresses, microhardness, and microstructure were analyzed to characterize the surfaces layer under different turning parameters. Surface integrity and fatigue life tests of c-Ti Al alloy were conducted under turning and turning-polishing processes. The results show that compared to CNMG120412-MF4, CNMG120408-SM is more suitable because it obtained low cutting force, surface roughness, and tool wear. With increasing the cutting speed and depth, the depths of the compressive residual stress layer, hardening layer, and plastic deformation layer increased. For turning and turning-polishing specimens, the compressive residual stress was relaxed by less than 20%–30% after 10~7 cycles. 2Aligned fibrin/functionalized self-assembling peptide interpenetrating nanofiber hydrogel presenting multi-cues promotes peripheral nerve functional recovery显示文摘Nerve guidance conduits with hollow lumen fail to regenerate critical-sized peripheral nerve defects(15 mm in rats and 25 mm in humans),which can be improved by a beneficial intraluminal microenvironment.However,individual cues provided by intraluminal filling materials are inadequate to eliminate the functional gap between regenerated nerves and normal nerves.Herein,an aligned fibrin/functionalized self-assembling peptide(AFG/fSAP)interpenetrating nanofiber hydrogel that exerting synergistic topographical and biochemical cues for peripheral nerve regeneration is constructed via electrospinning and molecular self-assembly.The hydrogel possesses an aligned structure,high water content,appropriate mechanical properties and suitable biodegradation capabilities for nerve repair,which enhances the alignment and neurotrophin secretion of primary Schwann cells(SCs)in vitro,and successfully bridges a 15-mm sciatic nerve gap in rats in vivo.The rats transplanted with the AFG/fSAP hydrogel exhibit satisfactory morphological and functional recovery in myelinated nerve fibers and innervated muscles.The motor function recovery facilitated by the AFG/fSAP hydrogel is comparable with that of autografts.Moreover,the AFG/fSAP hydrogel upregulates the regeneration-associated gene expression and activates the PI3K/Akt and MAPK signaling pathways in the regenerated nerve.Altogether,the AFG/fSAP hydrogel represents a promising approach for peripheral nerve repair through an integration of structural guidance and biochemical stimulation.Shuhui Yang Jinjin Zhu Changfeng Lu Yi Chai Zheng Cao Jiaju Lu Zhe Zhang He Zhao Yin-Yuan Huang Shenglian Yao Xiangdong Kong Peixun Zhang Xiumei Wang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:3

5Coupling non-isothermal trickle-bed reactor with catalyst pellet models to understand the reaction and diffusion in gas oil hydrodesulfurization显示文摘In this work,a trickle-bed reactor coupled with catalyst pellet model is employed to understand the effects of the temperature and catalyst pellet structures on the reaction-diffusion behaviors in gas oil hydrodesulfurization(HDS).The non-isothermal reactor model is determined to be reasonable due to non-negligible temperature variation caused by the reaction heat.The reaction rate along the reactor is mainly dominated by the temperature,and the sulfur concentration gradient in the catalyst pellet decreases gradually along the reactor,leading to the increased internal effectiveness factor.For the fixed catalyst bed volume,there exists a compromise between the catalyst reaction rate and effectiveness factor.Under commonly studied catalyst pellet size of 0.8-3 mm and porosity of 0.4-0.8,an optimization of the temperature and catalyst pellet structures is carried out,and the optimized outlet sulfur content decreases to 7.6 wppm better than the commercial level at 0.96 mm of the catalyst pellet size and 0.40 of the catalyst porosity.Xingqiang Zhao Changfeng Yang Mengke Lu Yao Shi Gang Qian Xinggui Zhou Xuezhi Duan 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,4:1

15Sequence and modified group analysis on C-terminal modified analogs of endomorphin-2 using electrospray ionization-Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer显示文摘In this paper, a series of C-terminal modified analogs of endomorphin-2 is investigated using ESI-FT-ICR-MS. Some b, y″, a, and internal ions are found in the CID spectra and slight mass differ- ences between the calculated and observed results are obtained. Moreover, if the C-terminal modified group is t-butyloxy, it can lose butene through McLafferty rearrangement. 16Catalyst particle shapes and pore structure engineering for hydrodesulfurization and hydrodenitrogenation reactions显示文摘Catalyst particle shapes and pore structure engineering are crucial for alleviating internal diffusion limitations in the hydrodesulfiirization(HDS)/hydrodeni-trogenation(HDN)of gas oil.The effects of catalyst particle shapes(sphere,cylinder,trilobe,and tetralobe)and pore structures(pore diameter and porosity)on HDS/HDN performance at the particle scale are investigated via mathematical modeling.The relationship between particle shape and effectiveness factor is first established,and the specific surface areas of different catalyst particles show a positive correlation with the average HDS/HDN reaction rates.The catalyst particle shapes primarily alter the average HDS/HDN reaction rate to adjust the HDS/HDN effectiveness factor.An optimal average HDS/HDN reaction rate exists as the catalyst pore diameter and porosity increase,and this optimum value indicates a tradeoff between diffusion and reaction.In contrast to catalyst particle shapes,the catalyst pore diameter and the porosity of catalyst particles primarily alter the surface HDS/HDN reaction rate to adjust the HDS/HDN effectiveness factor.This study provides insights into the engineering of catalyst particle shapes and pore structures for improving HDS/HDN catalyst particle efficiency.Yao Shi Zhao Li Changfeng Yang Zhanlin Yang Zhenhui Lv Chong Peng Bao-Lian Su Weikang Yuan Xinggui Zhou Xuezhi Duan 2022Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2022,16,6:0
