| 1 | Effect of Intercritical Annealing Parameters on Dual Phase Behavior of Commercial Low-Alloyed Steels显示文摘The effects of some intercritical annealing parameters including heating rate,soaking temperature,soaking time,and quench media on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cold-rolled dual phase steel were studied.The microstructure of specimens quenched after each annealing stage was analyzed using optical microscope.The tensile properties,determined for specimens submitted to complete annealing cycles,were influenced by the volume fractions of multiphases(originated from martensite,bainite,and retained austenite),which depend on the annealing process parameters.The results obtained showed that the yield strength and the ultimate tensile strength increase with increasing the intercritical temperature and cooling rate.This can be explained by higher martensite volume ratio with the increased volume fraction of austenite formed at the higher temperatures and cooling rates. | Aydin Hüseyin Kazdal Zeytin Havva Kubilay Ceylan | 2010 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2010,17,4: | 10 |
| 2 | Analysis of the high-temperature dry sliding behavior of CoCrFeNiTi0.5Alx high-entropy alloys显示文摘In this study,CoCrFeNiTi0.5Alx high‐entropy alloys were produced by induction melting and their dry sliding wear behavior was examined at different temperatures.In addition to face‐centered cubic(FCC)phases,low amounts of a tetragonal phase were detected in the microstructures of alloys without Al and microscratches were formed by wear particles on the worn surfaces of the alloy specimens.Two body‐centered cubic(BCC)phases were detected in the alloy with 0.5Al and a fatigue‐related extrusion wear mechanism was detected on the worn surface.The alloy specimen with a high Al content exhibited the best wear characteristics.No wear tracks were formed in single‐phase BCC intermetallic alloys at room temperature and they exhibited a higher wear strength at high temperatures when compared to other samples. | Azmi ERDOGAN Mustafa Sabri GOK Sakin ZEYTIN | 2020 | Friction2020,8,1: | 5 |
| 3 | Effect of Boron and Heat Treatment on Mechanical Properties of White Cast Iron for Mining Application显示文摘Heat treatment methods were applied to white cast iron for improving the impact and wear resistance. Additionally, chemical composition optimization was made. Furthermore, the effect of boron addition on such applications was investigated. Samples were investigated by using optical and electron microscope methods. Hardness, wear and impact tests were conducted. The results showed that the secondary carbides in the standard alloy were iron-enriched, needle-like carbides M3C when the boron-added alloy contained Fe23(C,B)6 type, globular secondary carbides. It was concluded that heat treatment B provided higher wear and hardness properties, compared to the standard heat treatment. | 4 | Effect of Microstructure on Exhaust Manifold Cracks Produced From SiMo Ductile Iron显示文摘Ductile cast irons are used as high temperature materials in internal combustion engines,because they are microstructurally stable at high operating temperatures. SiMo granular graphite cast irons contain Fe2MoC and M6C carbide precipitates due to their higher concentration of both silicon and molybdenum. The microstructure of these cast irons consists of carbides dispersed within the ferrite matrix. The microstructural change and the crack formation mechanism in manifolds produced from SiMo ductile iron are studied.
