Ce-based catalysts used in advanced oxidation processes for organic wastewater treatment: A review显示文摘Refractory organic pollutants in water threaten human health and environmental safety, and advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are effective for the degradation of these pollutants.Catalysts play vital role in AOPs,and Ce-based catalysts have exhibited excellent performance.Recently, the development and application of Ce-based catalysts in various AOPs have been reported. Our study conducts the first review in this rapid growing field. This paper clarifies the variety and properties of Ce-based catalysts.Their applications in different AOP systems (catalytic ozonation,photodegradation,Fenton-like reactions, sulfate radicalbased AOPs,and catalytic sonochemistry) are discussed.Different Ce-based catalysts suit different reaction systems and produce different active radicals. Finally, future research directions of Ce-based catalysts in AOP systems are suggested. | Lijun Niu Ting Wei Qiangang Li Guangming Zhang Guang Xian Zeqing Long Zhijun Ren | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10: | 10
Observation and modeling of NPP for Pinus elliottii plantation in subtropical China显示文摘Based on the stem analysis of 59 individuals of Pinus elliottii in combination with tree biomass models, we calculated annual biomass increment of forest plots at Qianyanzhou Ecological Station, Chinese Academy of Sciences in subtropical China. In addition, canopy layer and community NPP were calcu- lated based on 12 years’ litter fall data. NPP of the 21-year-old forest was estimated by using the BIOME BGC model; and both measured NPP and estimated NPP were compared with flux data. Community biomass was 10574 g·m-2; its distribution patterns in tree layer, shrub layer, herbaceous layer, tree root, herbaceous and shrub roots and fine roots were 7542, 480, 239, 1810, 230, 274 and 239 g·m-2, respectively. From 1999 to 2004, the average annual growth rate and litter fall were 741 g·m-2·a-1 (381.31 gC·m-2·a-1) and 849 g·m?2·a?1 (463 gC·m-2·a-1), respectively. There was a significant corre- lation between annual litter fall and annual biomass increment; and the litter fall was 1.19 times the biomass increment of living trees. From 1985 to 2005, average NPP and GPP values based on BGC modeling were 630.88 (343.31 - 906.42 gC·m-2·a-1) and 1 800 gC·m-2·a-1 (1351.62 - 2318.26 gC·m-2·a-1). Regression analysis showed a linear relationship (R2=0.48) between the measured and simulated tree layer NPP values. NPP accounted for 30.2% (25.6%-32.9%) of GPP, while NEP ac- counted for 57.5% (48.1%-66.5%) of tree-layer NPP and 41.74% (37%-52%) of stand NPP. Soil respi- ration accounted for 77.0% of measured tree NPP and 55.9% of the measured stand NPP. NEE based on eddy covariance method was 12.97% higher than the observed NEP. | MA ZeQing LIU QiJing WANG HuiMin LI XuanRan ZENG HuiQing XU WenJia | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,7: | 9
Genome-wide Dissection of Co-selected UV-B Responsive Pathways in the UV-B Adaptation of Qingke显示文摘Qingke (Tibetan hulless barley) has long been cultivated and exposed to long-term and strong UV-B radiation on the Tibetan Plateau, which renders it an ideal species for elucidating novel UV-B responsive mechanisms in plants. Here we report a comprehensive metabolite profiling and metabolite-based genome-wide association study (mGWAS) using 196 diverse qingke and barley accessions. Our results demonstrated both constitutive and induced accumulation, and common genetic regulation, of metabolites from different branches of the phenylpropanoid pathway that are involved in UV-B protection. A total of 90 significant mGWAS loci for these metabolites were identified in barley-qingke differentiation regions, and a number of high-level metabolite trait alleles were found to be significantly enriched in qingke, suggesting co-selection of various phenylpropanoids. Upon dissecting the entire phenylpropanoid pathway, we identified some key determinants controlling natural variation of phenylpropanoid content, including three novel proteins, a flavone C-pentosyltransferase, a tyramine hydroxycinnamoyl acyltransferase, and a MYB transcription factor. Our study, furthermore, demonstrated co-selection of both constitutive and induced phenylpropanoids for UV-B protection in qingke. | Xingquan Zeng Hongjun Yuan Xuekui Dong Meng Peng Xinyu Jing Qijun Xu Tang Tang Yulin Wang Sang Zha Meng Gao Congzhi Li Chujin Shu Zexiu Wei Wangmu Qimei Yuzhen Basang Jiabu Dunzhu Zeqing Li Lijun Bai Jian Shi Zhigang Zheng Sibin Yu Alisdair R.Fernie Jie Luo Tashi Nyima | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,1: | 9
CLASSICAL AND HOMOGENIZED EXPRESSIONS FOR BUCKLING SOLUTIONS OF FUNCTIONALLY GRADED MATERIAL LEVINSON BEAMS显示文摘The relationship between the critical buckling loads of functionally graded material(FGM) Levinson beams(LBs) and those of the corresponding homogeneous Euler-Bernoulli beams(HEBBs) is investigated. Properties of the beam are assumed to vary continuously in the depth direction. The governing equations of the FGM beam are derived based on the Levinson beam theory, in which a quadratic variation of the transverse shear strain through the depth is included.By eliminating the axial displacement as well as the rotational angle in the governing equations,an ordinary differential equation in terms of the deflection of the FGM LBs is derived, the form of which is the same as that of HEBBs except for the definition of the load parameter. By solving the eigenvalue problem of ordinary differential equations under different boundary conditions clamped(C), simply-supported(S), roller(R) and free(F) edges combined, a uniform analytical formulation of buckling loads of FGM LBs with S-S, C-C, C-F, C-R and S-R edges is presented for those of HEBBs with the same boundary conditions. For the C-S beam the above-mentioned equation does not hold. Instead, a transcendental equation is derived to find the critical buckling load for the FGM LB which is similar to that for HEBB with the same ends. The significance of this work lies in that the solution of the critical buckling load of a FGM LB can be reduced to that of the HEBB and calculation of three constants whose values only depend upon the throughthe-depth gradient of the material properties and the geometry of the beam. So, a homogeneous and classical expression for the buckling solution of FGM LBs is accomplished. | Shirong Li Xuan Wang Zeqing Wan | 2015 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2015,28,5: | 6

Fermented mixed feed alters growth performance, carcass traits, meat quality and muscle fatty acid and amino acid profiles in finishing pigs显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fermented mixed feed(FMF)on growth performance, carcass traits, meat quality, muscle amino acid and fatty acid composition and mRNA expression levels of genes related to lipid metabolism in finishing pigs.In the present study,144 finishing pigs(Duroc×Berkshire×Jiaxing Black)were randomly allocated to 3 dietary treatments with 4 replicate pens per group and 12 pigs per pen.The dietary treatments included a basal diet(CON),a basal diet+5%FMF and a basal diet+10%FMF.The experiment lasted 38 d after 4 d of acclimation. The results showed that 5%and 10%FMF significantly increased the average daily gain(ADG)of the females but not the males(P<0.05),but FMF supplementation showed no impact on carcass traits.Moreover,10%FMF supplementation increased the meat color45 min and meat color24 h values, while it decreased the shear force relative to CON(P<0.05).In addition,10%FMF significantly increased the contents of flavor amino acids(FAA),total essential AA(EAA),total non-EAA(NEAA)and total AA relative to CON(P<0.05).Furthermore,the diet supplemented with 10%FMF significantly increased the concentration of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA),n-6 PUFA and total PUFA,and the PUFA to saturated fatty acids ratio(P<0.05),suggesting that FMF supplementation increased meat quality. Moreover, compared with the CON,10%FMF supplementation increased the mRNA expression of lipogenic genes, including CEBPα,PPARγ,SREBP1 and FABP4,and upregulated the expression of unsaturated fatty acid synthesis(ACAA1 and FADS2).Together,our results suggest that 10%FMF dietary supplementation improved the female pigs’growth performance, improved the meat quality and altered the profiles of muscle fatty acids and amino acids in finishing pigs. This study provides a reference for the production of high-quality pork. | Shiqi Liu Man Du Yuang Tu Wenjing You Wentao Chen Guoliang Liu Junyue Li Yizhen Wang Zeqing Lu Tenghao Wang Tizhong Shan | 2023 | Animal Nutrition2023,,1: | 4
Natural Gas Types,Distribution Controlling Factors, and Future Exploration in the Western Qaidam Basin显示文摘The Paleogene and Neogene oil and gas in the western Qaidam basin have a regular distribution in three concentric zones from the edge to the center of the basin.Natural gas mainly occurs in the inner zone, and the gas-oil ratio of the northern area of the basin is significantly higher than that of the southern area.Large amounts of carbon isotope data of natural gas, plotted in Xshaped and comprehensive identification diagrams for the southern area and northern area, respectively, were used to identify the types of natural gas.The large-scale distribution of natural gas is highly consistent with the Ro values of major source rocks, but is poorly correlated with the type of organic matter. This indicates that the main controlling factor of natural gas distribution is organic matter maturity, and the kerogen types act as the basis for the formation of different types of natural gas.Paleouplifts and squeezed anticlines near hydrocarbon generation depression centers, which are major natural gas-rich regions, control the migration directions of natural gas, while hydrocarbon migration pathways and fault systems connecting gas sources are the most important factors for natural gas reservoir formation in the inner basin. Therefore, favorable zones for natural gas distribution can be predicted on the basis of the distribution of thermal evolution and the gas generation intensity of major source rocks as well as the structural map.The Shizigou-YoushashanYingdong-Dawusi,Youquanzi –Kaitemilike- Youdunzi, and Xiaoliangshan – Nanyishan- Dafengshan structural belts are favorable zones for natural gas accumulation. This study has important theoretical and practical significance for future natural gas exploration. | GUO Zeqing SUN Ping LI Jian ZHANG Lin LIU Weihong TIAN Jixian ZHANG Shaosheng ZENG Xu | 2014 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2014,88,4: | 3
Dynamic analysis of gene expression and determination of chemicals in agarwood in Aquilaria sinensis显示文摘Agarwood is the resinous heartwood of Aquilaria species. However, low yields and high costs of existing stimulation methods have led to the need for new techniques to produce agarwood rapidly and effectively. We developed a biological agarwood-inducing technique(Agar-Bit)that produces high yields and quality within 6 months. To better understand agarwood formation by Agar-Bit,dynamic gene expressions of key synthetases pathways of sesquiterpenes and chalcone-related enzymes at different times were determined after both Agar-Bit and the traditional burning chisel drilling(BCD)stimulation on Aquilaria sinensis trees. The qRT-PCR results show that some characteristic synthase genes were expressed at greatly different levels and times compared with the controls. For the Agar-Bit technology, main changes were after the 3rd or 5th month, while BCD expression clearly changed at the 5th month.Essential oils and total chromone contents were simultaneously determined. In the Agar-Bit group, both were higher and similar to natural levels. The Agar-Bit methodology is a new option for producing agarwood as demonstrated by genetic and chemical aspects. The differences in gene expression within 6 months for both groups indicates that the mechanisms of the two methods are different. These findings provide information on genetic variation during the process of agarwood formation. | Zeqing Wu Wanzhen Liu Jing Li Liangwen Yu Li Lin | 2020 | Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,5: | 3
Homogenized and classical expressions for static bending solutions for functionally graded material Levinson beams显示文摘The exact relationship between the bending solutions of functionally graded material(FGM) beams based on the Levinson beam theory and those of the corresponding homogenous beams based on the classical beam theory is presented for the material properties of the FGM beams changing continuously in the thickness direction. The deflection, the rotational angle, the bending moment, and the shear force of FGM Levinson beams(FGMLBs) are given analytically in terms of the deflection of the reference homogenous Euler-Bernoulli beams(HEBBs) with the same loading, geometry, and end supports. Consequently, the solution of the bending of non-homogenous Levinson beams can be simplified to the calculation of transition coefficients, which can be easily determined by variation of the gradient of material properties and the geometry of beams. This is because the classical beam theory solutions of homogenous beams can be easily determined or are available in the textbook of material strength under a variety of boundary conditions. As examples, for different end constraints, particular solutions are given for the FGMLBs under specified loadings to illustrate validity of this approach. These analytical solutions can be used as benchmarks to check numerical results in the investigation of static bending of FGM beams based on higher-order shear deformation theories. | Shirong LI Zeqing WAN Xuan WANG | 2015 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2015,36,7: | 2
Experimental and numerical investigation of TVOC concentrations and ventilation dilution in enclosed train cabin显示文摘Air pollution in trains is an important factor threatening human health, which has attracted more and more attention in the worldwide public health researches. In this study, one cabin of a fully enclosed train was taken as an example to conduct experimental and numerical research on pollution level and distribution characteristic of total volatile organic compound(TVOC).The results show that when the average emission rate under daily environmental conditions was taken as the reference,TVOC concentration in the cabin exceeded the limit level of Chinese Indoor Air Quality Standard by more than 4 times. The obvious pollutants accumulative phenomenon could be found at bottoms and corners under the action of airflow.Setting air inlets at the roof of the train, mean age of air ranged from 30 s to 50 s in the breathing area. The concentration of pollutants was the lowest at 2.5-5 m from the center point of the cabin structure, and the ventilation efficiency was the highest. The introduction of clean fresh air could effectively eliminate pollutants. When the complete displacement ventilation rates were 51.4 h^(-1) and 28.6 h_1,the removal efficiency of pollutants was about 0.85 and 0.48 mg/m3 per minute, respectively. This study was helpful to the improvement and optimization design of air quality and ventilation mode in trains. | Le Zhao Huang Zhou Yuzhen Jin Zeqing Li | 2022 | Building Simulation2022,15,5: | 1

Effects of long-chain fatty acid supplementation on the growth performance of grower and finisher pigs: a meta-analysis显示文摘Background: Supplementation of feed with long-chain fatty acids(LCFAs) during the grower and finisher phases has long been discussed as a growth promotion strategy in pigs, but its effects are inconsistent. The purpose of our study was to comprehensively evaluate its effects on the growth performance based on the average daily gain(ADG), average daily feed intake(ADFI) and gain: feed(G:F) ratio and to unveil the roles of the basal diet, LCFA concentration and LCFA saturation. Results: We searched the Pub Med and Web of Science databases(articles published from Jan 1 st, 2000, to Sep 30 th,2018;restricted to English) and compared LCFA-supplemented diets with control diets. We retrieved 2346 studies, 18 of which(1314 pigs, 26 records) were eligible for our analysis. We used a random-effects model to calculate the weighted mean differences(WMDs) and 95% confidence intervals(CIs). LCFA supplementation in the grower-finisher phase improved the ADG(WMD = 41.74 g/d, 95% CI: 8.81 to 74.66, P = 0.013) and G:F ratio(WMD = 0.019, 95% CI: 0.006 to 0.032, P = 0.003). For supplementation solely in the finisher phase, we found a similar performance in the ADG(WMD = 39.93 g/d, 95% CI: 26.48 to 53.38, P < 0.001) and G:F ratio(WMD = 0.019, 95% CI: 0.006 to 0.032, P < 0.001) but a reduction in the ADFI(WMD =-83.863 g/d, 95% CI:-156.157 to-11.569, P = 0.023). Specifically, approximately 5%LCFA supplementation in the finisher phase had significant effects on the ADG(WMD = 51.385 g/d, 95% CI: 35.816 to66.954, P < 0.001), ADFI(WMD =-102.869 g/d, 95% CI:-189.236 to-16.502, P = 0.02) and G:F ratio(WMD = 0.028, 95%CI: 0.018 to 0.039, P < 0.001), whereas a concentration of approximately 1% exhibited no effects. Conclusions: Overall, regardless of the basal diet and saturation, LCFA supplementation greatly improves the growth performance of grower and finisher pigs, primarily by increasing the energy density. | Zhi Li Bocheng Xu Zeqing Lu Yizhen Wang | 2019 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,4: | 1

Thermal buckling analysis of functionally graded cylindrical shells显示文摘Thermal buckling behavior of cylindrical shell made of functionally graded material(FGM) is studied. The material constituents are composed of ceramic and metal. The material properties across the shell thickness are assumed to be graded according to a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fraction rule of mixtures. Based on the Donnell shell theory, a system of dimensionless partial differential equations of buckling in terms of displacement components is derived. The method of separation of variables is used to transform the governing equations to ordinary differential equations(ODEs). A shooting method is used to search for the numerical solutions of the differential equations under two types of boundary conditions. Effects of the power law index, the dimensionless geometrical parameters, and the temperature ratio on the critical buckling temperature are discussed in detail. | Zeqing WAN Shirong LI | 2017 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2017,38,8: | 0
Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 40 regulates piglet performance, antioxidant capacity, immune status and gut microbiota显示文摘Probiotics can improve animal growth performance and intestinal health.Bacillus species,Lactobacillus species,Bifidobacterium species, yeast etc.are the common types of probiotics. However, understanding the effects of probiotics on the immune status and gut microbiota of weaning piglets and how the probiotics exert their impact are still limited. This study aimed to investigate the effects of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 40(BA40)on the performance, immune status and gut microbiota of piglets.A total of 12 litters of newborn piglets were randomly divided into 3 groups.Piglets in control group were orally dosed with phosphate buffered saline;BA40 group and probiotics group were orally gavaged with resuspension BA40 and a probiotics product, respectively. The results showed that BA40 treatment significantly decreased(P<0.05)the diarrhea incidence(from d 5 to 40),diamine oxidase,D-lactate,interleukin(IL)-1βand interferon-γconcentrations compared with control group and probiotics group.Meanwhile BA40 dramatically increased the total antioxidant capacity,IL-10 and secretory immunoglobulin-A concentrations in contrast to control group. For the microbial composition,BA40 modulated the microbiota by improving the abundance of Bacteroides,Phascolarctobacterium(producing short-chain fatty acids)and Desulfovibrio and reducing the proliferation of pathogens(Streptococcus,Tyzzerella,Vellionella and paraeggerthella).Meanwhile,a metabolic function prediction explained that carbohydrate metabolism and amino acid metabolism enriched in BA40 group in contrast to control group and probiotics group. For correlation analysis, the results demonstrated that BA40-enriched Phascolarctobacterium and Desulfovibrio provide insights into strategies for elevating the health status and performance of weaned piglets.Altogether,BA40 exerted stronger ability in decreasing diarrhea incidence and improved antioxidant activity, gut barrier function and immune status of piglets than the other treatments. Our study provided the experimental and theoretical basis for the application of BA40 in pig production. | Zipeng Jiang Weifa Su Wentao Li Chaoyue Wen Shuai Du Huan He Yu Zhang Tao Gong Xinxia Wang Yizhen Wang Mingliang Jin Zeqing Lu | 2023 | Animal Nutrition2023,,1: | 0
