| 1 | Outline of the Report on Cardiovascular Disease in China,2010显示文摘Major and profound changes have taken place in China over the past 30 years.Rapid socioeconomic progress has exerted a great impact on lifestyle,ranging from food,clothing,working and living conditions,and means of transportation to leisure activities and entertainment.At the same time,new health problems have emerged,and health services are facing new challenges.Presently,cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are among the top health problems of the Chinese people,and pose a serious challenge to all engaged in the prevention and control of these diseases.An epidemic of CVD in China is emerging as a result of lifestyle changes,urbanization and longevity.Both national policy decision-making and medical practice urgently need an authoritative report which comprehensively reflects the trends in the epidemic of CVD and current preventive measures.Since 2005,guided by the Bureau of Disease Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China and the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases of China,nationwide experts in the fields of epidemiology,clinical medicine and health economics in the realms of CVD,cerebrovascular disease,diabetes and chronic kidney disease,completed the Report on Cardiovascular Diseases in China every year.The report aims to provide a timely review of the trend of the epidemic and to assess the progress of prevention and control of CVD.In addition,as the report is authoritative,representative and readable,it will become an information platform in the CVD field and an important reference book for government,academic institutes,medical organizations and clinical physicians.This publication is expected to play a positive role in the prevention and control of CVD in China.We present an abstract from the Report on Cardiovascular Diseases in China (2010),including trends in CVD,morbidity and mortality of major CVDs,up-to-date assessment of risk factors,as well as health resources for CVD,and a profile of medical expenditure,with the aim of providing evidence for decision-making in CVD prevention and control programs in China,and of delivering the most authoritative information on CVD prevention and control for all citizens. | HUSheng Shou KONG Ling Zhi GAO Run Lin ZHU Man Lu WANG Wen WANG Yong Jun WU Zhao Su CHEN Wei Wei LIU Ming Bo For the editorial board | 2012 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,3: | 93 |

| 3 | Identifying paleoflood deposits archived in Zhongba Site,the Three Gorges reservoir region of the YangtzeRiver,China显示文摘Based on the principle that the present is the key to the past , detailed analyses, such as AMS 14C dating, grain size, component and morphology of heavy minerals, micro-morphology of zircon, Rb/Sr, magnetic susceptibility and total organic carbon (TOC), were conducted to identify paleoflood sediments archived in Zhongba Site. The results indicate that the plaeoflood sediments bear great similarities with modern flood sediments in the following aspects: (1) probability cumulative curves mainly show a pattern of 3―4 segments; (2) grain-size distribution of suspended matter ranges between 3 and 10Ф; (3) the sediments are well-sorted, most of which are suspended matter (>50%); (4) the same species, quantity and morphology of heavy minerals; (5) scanning electronic microscope images show that shapes of zircon are mainly oval and nearly spheral, rounded due to long-distance transport; (6) higher Rb/Sr values (0.55―0.66)than those of sediments from cultural layers (0.03―0.26); (7) magnetic susceptibility values (133.73―433.05 10-6m3/kg) are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers (959.25―2442.44 10?6 m3/kg); (8) TOC (0.14%―0.33%) are lower than those of sediments from cultural lay-ers (1.13%―2.95%). | 11 | Impact of Holocene environmental change on temporal-spatial distribution of Neolithic sites in Huaihe River Basin, Anhui Province显示文摘The Huaihe River basin of Anhui is not only a transitional zone of physical geography, but also a convergent area of many cultures in China. It is one of the sensitive ecotones to global changes and the birthplace of Chinese civilization. Using the field archaeological data and the sporo-pollens and the age data of the drilling cores, we analysed Neolithic cultural development and environmental evolution in the Huaihe River basin of Anhui. According to the combination of some research results in archaeology with environmental evolution research, this paper discusses the relationship between culture and environment in the Huaihe River basin of Anhui. The Neolithic cultural development was strongly impacted by the environmental change. The primitive culture (Shishanzi) was developed in the beginning of the Holocene Megathermal Period with distinct regional feature of the culture. From 6.5 kaBP to 5.5 kaBP, the climate changed warmer and wetter. The frequent occurrence of flood and waterlog due to such a climate regime and high sea level caused the earth’s surface environment deteriorated in the Huaihe River basin of Anhui and the interruption of the Neolithic cultural development, hence a lack of archaeological sites. From 5.5 kaBP to 4.0 kaBP, the climate changed from wet to dry, the natural environment was propitious to human survival. Dawenkou Culture and Longshan Culture flourished in this period. | 13 | Dominant Synoptic Patterns and Their Relationships with PM2.5 Pollution in Winter over the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei and Yangtze River Delta Regions in China显示文摘This paper concerns about the episodes of PM2.5 pollution that frequently occur in China in winter months.The severity of PM2.5 pollution is strongly dependent on the synoptic-scale atmospheric conditions.We combined PM2.5 concentration data and meteorological data with the Hybrid Single Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory model(HYSPLIT4)to investigate the dominant synoptic patterns and their relationships with PM2.5 pollution over the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei(BTH)and Yangtze River Delta(YRD)regions in the winters of 2014–17.The transport of PM2.5 from the BTH to YRD regions was examined by using cluster analysis and HYSPLIT4.It is found that the level of PM2.5 pollution over the BTH region was higher than that over the YRD region.The concentration of PM2.5 in the atmosphere was more closely related to meteorological factors over the BTH region.The episodes of PM2.5 pollution over the BTH region in winter were related to weather patterns such as the rear of a high-pressure system approaching the sea,a high-pressure field,a saddle pressure field,and the leading edge of a cold front.By contrast,PM2.5 pollution episodes in the YRD region in winter were mainly associated with the external transport of cold air,a high-pressure field,and a uniform pressure field.Cluster analysis shows that the trajectories of PM2.5 were significantly different under different weather patterns.PM2.5 would be transported from the BTH to the YRD within 48 h when the PM2.5 pollution episodes were associated with three different kinds of weather patterns:the rear of a highpressure system approaching the sea,the high-pressure field,and the leading edge of a cold front over the BTH region.This suggests a possible method to predict PM2.5 pollution episodes based on synoptic-scale patterns. | Yuzhi LIU Bing WANG Qingzhe ZHU Run LUO Chuqiao WU Rui JIA | 2019 | Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,4: | 5 |

| 18 | Black phosphorus-based van der Waals heterostructures for mid-infrared light-emission applications显示文摘Mid-infrared(MIR)light-emitting devices play a key role in optical communications,thermal imaging,and material analysis applications.Two-dimensional(2D)materials offer a promising direction for next-generation MIR devices owing to their exotic optical properties,as well as the ultimate thickness limit.More importantly,van der Waals heterostructures-combining the best of various 2D materials at an artificial atomic level-provide many new possibilities for constructing MIR light-emitting devices of large tuneability and high integration.Here,we introduce a simple but novel van der Waals heterostructure for MIR light-emission applications built from thin-film BP and transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs),in which BP acts as an MIR light-emission layer.For BP–WSe_(2) heterostructures,an enhancement of~200% in the photoluminescence intensities in the MIR region is observed,demonstrating highly efficient energy transfer in this heterostructure with type-Ⅰ band alignment.For BP-MoS_(2) heterostructures,a room temperature MIR light-emitting diode(LED)is enabled through the formation of a vertical PN heterojunction at the interface.Our work reveals that the BP-TMDC heterostructure with efficient light emission in the MIR range,either optically or electrically activated,provides a promising platform for infrared light property studies and applications. | Xinrong Zong Huamin Hu Gang Ouyang Jingwei Wang Run Shi Le Zhang Qingsheng Zeng Chao Zhu Shouheng Chen Chun Cheng Bing Wang Han Zhang Zheng Liu Wei Huang Taihong Wang Lin Wang Xiaolong Chen | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 3 |
| 19 | Meiotic nuclear divisions 1(MND1)fuels cell cycle progression by activating a KLF6/E2F1 positive feedback loop in lung adenocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Considering the increase in the proportion of lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)cases among all lung cancers and its considerable contribution to cancer-related deaths worldwide,we sought to identify novel oncogenes to provide potential targets and facilitate a better understanding of the malignant progression of LUAD.Methods:The results from the screening of transcriptome and survival analyses according to the integrated Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)datasets and The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)data were combined,and a promising risk biomarker called meiotic nuclear divisions 1(MND1)was selectively acquired.Cell viability assays and subcutaneous xenograftmodelswere used to validate the oncogenic role ofMND1 in LUADcell proliferation and tumor growth.Aseries of assays,including mass spectrometry,co-immunoprecipitation(Co-IP),and chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP),were performed to explore the underlying mechanism.Results:MND1 up-regulation was identified to be an independent risk factor for overall survival in LUAD patients evaluated by both tissue microarray staining and third party data analysis.In vivo and in vitro assays showed that MND1 promoted LUAD cell proliferation by regulating cell cycle.The results of the Co-IP,ChIP and dual-luciferase reporter assays validated that MND1 competitively bound to tumor suppressor Kruppel-like factor 6(KLF6),and thereby protecting E2F transcription factor 1(E2F1)from KLF6-induced transcriptional repression.Luciferase reporter and ChIP assays found that E2F1 activated MND1 transcription by binding to its promoter in a feedback manner.Conclusions:MND1,KLF6,and E2F1 form a positive feedback loop to regulate cell cycle and confer DDP resistance in LUAD.MND1 is crucial for malignant progression and may be a potential therapeutic target in LUAD patients. | Quanli Zhang Run Shi Yongkang Bai Lijuan Meng Jingwen Hu Hongyu Zhu Tongyan Liu Xiaomeng De Siwei Wang Jie Wang Lin Xu Guoren Zhou Rong Yin | 2021 | Cancer Communications2021,41,6: | 2 |
