| 1 | Carboniferous-Permian Stratigraphy and Sedimentary Environment of Southeastern Inner Mongolia,China:Constraints on Final Closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean显示文摘In this paper we discuss the timing of final closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean based on the field investigations of the Carboniferous-Permian stratigraphic sequences and sedimentary environments in southeastern Inner Mongolia combined with the geology of its neighboring areas.Studies show that during the Carboniferous-Permian in the eastern segment of the Tianshan-Hinggan Orogenic System,there was a giant ENE-NE-trending littoral-neritic to continental sedimentary basin,starting in the west from Ejinqi eastwards through southeastern Inner Mongolia into Jilin and Heilongjiang.The distribution of the Lower Carboniferous in the vast area is sparse.The Late Carboniferous or Permian volcanic-sedimentary rocks always unconformably overlie the Devonian or older units.The Upper Carboniferous-Middle Permian is dominated by Iittoral-neritic deposits and the Upper Permian,by continental deposits.The Late Carboniferous-Permian has no trace of subduction-collision orogeny,implying the basin gradually disappeared by shrinking and shallowing.In addition,it is of interest to note that the Ondor Sum and Hegenshan ophiolitic melanges were formed in the pre-Late Silurian and pre-Late Devonian respectively,and the Solonker ophiolitic melange formed in the pre-Late Carboniferous.All the evidence indicates that the eastern segment of the Paleo-Asian Ocean had closed before the Late Carboniferous,and most likely before the latest Devonian(Famennian). | ZHU Junbin REN Jishun | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,3: | 12 |

| 3 | Design and synthesis of a packaging polymer enhancing the sensitivity of fiber grating pressure sensor显示文摘A packaging polymer (PP-1) that can enhance the sensitivity of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) pressure sensor was designed and synthe-sized from hydroxyl terminated polypropylene oxide oligomers,toluene diisocyanate (TDI),1,4-butandiol as chain extender,catalyzer,foam agent and foam stabilizer. The testing results show that the Young's modulus,Poisson's ratio of the packaging polymer are 9.0 · 106 N m 2 and 0.49,respectively. The static pressure sensitivity of fiber optical Bragg gratings packaged by PP-1 was discussed. The theoretical pressure sensitivity of FBG packaged with the polymer cylinder is 1.73 · 10 3 MPa 1,which is 896 times of that of the bare FBG ( 1.93 · 10 6 MPa 1). | 5 | Local existence in retarded time under a weak decay on complete null cones显示文摘In the previous paper(see Li and Zhu(2014)), for a characteristic problem with not necessarily small initial data given on a complete null cone decaying like that in the work of the stability of Minkowski spacetime by Christodoulou and Klainerman(1993), we proved the local existence in retarded time, which means the solution to the vacuum Einstein equations exists in a uniform future neighborhood, while the global existence in retarded time is the weak cosmic censorship conjecture. In this paper, we prove that the local existence in retarded time still holds when the data is assumed to decay slower, like that in Bieri's work(2007)on the extension to the stability of Minkowski spacetime. | 6 | Oldest Basement(ca.462 Ma)in Indonesian Borneo and its Implication for Early Paleozoic Tectonic Evolution of SE Asia显示文摘The lack of preserved basement results in uncertain placements of many terranes in Southeast Asia.Here,we flag the first evidence of the oldest basement in Indonesian Borneo,which can help locate terranes in Borneo on the northern margin of Gondwana in the early Paleozoic and explain the regional tectonic setting of the island.Two schist samples from the Embuoi Complex in the Semitau Block,Northwest Kalimantan yielded zircon U-Pb dates of 453.3±1.9 Ma and 462.4±2.6 Ma,respectively,representing the formation time of the protolith.Petrographic,internal structural and high Th/U ratios of zircons indicate that the protolith of schists is of magmatic origin.The zircons haveεHf(t)values of−4.1 to+1.1 and Hf model ages of 1.37–1.69 Ga,indicating they were derived from a mixed source of juvenile crust with old components.By comparison of zircon age distribution,two-stage Hf model ages andεHf(t)variations of the early Paleozoic igneous rocks from Semitau with those of South China,Tengchong–Baoshan,and Indochina,the Semitau Block was most likely a part of or placed next to the Indochina Block of northern Gondwana during the early Paleozoic.Such a similar tectono-magmatic pattern on northern Gondwana formed a prolonged early Paleozoic arc-related belt associated with subduction of the Proto-Tethyan Ocean. | ZHU Junbin LI Shan Sayed MURTADHA | 2022 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,6: | 0 |
| 7 | Multisphere Tectonics of the Earth System显示文摘The fundamental theoretical framework of the Multisphere Tectonics of the Earth System is as follows:(1)It intends to extend the geotectonic studies from the crustal and lithospheric tectonics to the multisphere tectonics of the Ear th system as a whole.(2)The global dynamics driven by both the Earth system and the cosmic celestial system:solar energy,multispheric interactions of the Earth system and the combined effects of the motions of celestial bodies in the cosmos syste m are the driving forces of various geological processes.(3)The Continent-Ocean transformation theory:the continent and ocean are two opposite yet unified geological units,which can be transformed into each other;neither continent nor ocean wi ll survive forever;there is no one-way development of continental accretion or ocean extinction;the simple theory of one-way continental accretion is regarded as invalid.(4)The continental crust and mantle are characterized by multiple layers,with different layers liable to slide along the interfaces between them,but corroboration is needed that continents move as a who le or even drift freely.(5)The cyclic evolution theory:the development of Earth’s tectonics is not a uniform change,but a spiral forward evolution,characterized by a combination of non-uniform,non-linear,gradual and catastrophic changes;different evolutionary stages(tectonic cycles)of Earth have distinctive global tectonic patterns and characteristics,one tectonic mo del should not be applied to different tectonic cycles or evolutionary stages.(6)The structure and evolution of Earth are asymmetric and heterogeneous,thus one tectonic model cannot be applied to different areas of the world.(7)The polycyclic evolution of the continental crust:the continental crust is formed by polycyclic tectonics and magmatism,rather than simply lateral or vertical accretion.(8)The role of deep faults:the deep fault zones cutting through different layers of the crus t a nd mantle usually play important roles in tectonic evolution.For example,the present-day mid-ocean ridge fault zones,transform fault zones and Benioff zones outline the global tectonic framework.Different tectonic cycles and stages of Earth’s evolutio n must have their own distinctive deep fault systems which control the global tectonic framework and evolutionary processes during different tectonic cycles and stages.Starting from the two mantle superplumes Jason(Pacific)and Tuzo(Africa),the study of the evolutionary process of the composition and structure of the crust and mantle during the great transformation an d reorganization of the Meso-Cenozoic tectonic framework in China and the other regions of Asia is a good demonstration of theory of Multisphere Tectonics of the Earth System. | REN Jishun NIU Baogui XU Qinqin ZHAO Lei LIU Jianhui LI Shan ZHU Junbin LIU Renyan | 2022 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,3: | 0 |
