1A scalable bio-inspired polydopamine-Cu ion interfacial layer for high-performance lithium metal anode显示文摘The growth of Li dendrites and the instability of the solid electrolyte in terphase(SEI)layer during plating/stripping has hin dered the practical applicati on of high-energy-density batteries based on a lithium metal anode.Building a stable interfacial layer is effective in preventing lithium corrosiion by the electrolyte and controlling the deposition of lithium metal.Here,we present a robust polydopamine-Cu ion(PDA-Cu^2+)coati ng layer formed by the aggregation of nanoparticles and Cu ions,which can be obtained by a subtle immersion strategy.We demonstrate that the PDA-Cu^2+ protective layer,with a unique structure comprising nanoparticles,can regulate and guide Li metal deposition,and together with Cu ions,forms a lubricating surface to facilitate uniform Li ion diffusion and induce stable SEI layer formation.Li anodes with this PDA-Cu^2+layer modification ultimately achieve higher Coulombic efficiencies,which are consistently stable for over 650 cycles at 0.5 mA·cm^-2 without Li dendrites.The introduced PDA-Cu^2+ coating can adhere to any material of any shape;addition ally,the operation can be realized on a large scale because of its simplicity.These merits provide a promising approach for developing stable and safe lithium metal batteries.Qianqian Meng Huimin Zhang Yue Liu Shaobo Huang Tianzhu Zhou Xiaofei Yang Biyan Wang Wenfeng Zhang Hai Ming Yu Xiang Meng Li Gaoping Cao Yaqin Huang Li-zhen Fan Hao Zhang Yuepeng Guan 2019Nano Research2019,12,12:2
2Reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide induce senescence of rudimentary leaves and the expression profiles of the related genes in Litchi chinensis显示文摘Litchi is one of the most important subtropical evergreen fruit trees in southern Asia.Previous studies indicated that high-temperature conditions encourage growth of rudimentary leaves in panicles and suppress flowering.We have demonstrated that methyl viologen dichloride hydrate(MV)and sodium nitroprusside(SNP)promoted flowering in litchi partially by inhibiting the growth of rudimentary leaves via reactive oxygen species(ROS)and nitric oxide(NO).In the present study,we examined the microstructure and ultrastructure,programmed cell death(PCD)ratio,nuclei morphology of the rudimentary leaves,and the expression of senescence-related genes after the treatment with ROS or NO.The results showed that chromatins of the ROS-or NO-treated cells in the rudimentary leaves were condensed.Fusion of the cytoplasm-digesting vesicles with the vacuole and degradation of cytoplasm forming scattered debris were found in those of the treated cells.Treatment with ROS or NO increased the cell PCD ratio.Morphology of the nuclei stained by propidium iodide(PI)showed that nuclei shape became irregular after the ROS or NO treatment.Further,the expression levels of LcRboh,LcMC-1-like,and LcPirin were higher in the ROS-and NO-treated rudimentary leaves than those in the control ones,suggesting that these genes may be involved in the ROS and NO-induced senescence and abscission of the rudimentary leaves in litchi.Our results suggested that ROS and NO play an important role in inducing the senescence of the rudimentary leaves,and ROS-and NO-induced PCD may be involved in the regulation of the rudimentary leaf growth in litchi.Haifang Yang Hye-Ji Kim Houbin Chen Yong Lu Xingyu Lu Congcong Wang Biyan Zhou 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:2

7Drought Stress Induces Flowering and Enhances Carbohydrate Accumulation in Averrhoa Carambola显示文摘Star fruit(Averrhoa carambola)is an important fruit tree in tropical and subtropical Asia.The tree blooms several times and fruits accordingly within one year.Controlling the flowering time and understanding the physiological mechanism of the induction of floral buds in A.carambola are indispensable to the industry.In this study,A.carambola potted trees were subjected to drought stress in a growth chamber.To avoid excessive drought stress and leaf abscission,trees were watered every 7 d and were sprayed with water every 2 d.The flowering rate was recorded,and the carbohydrate contents of the leaves,phloem,and xylem tissues were determined during the treatment and after re-watering.The results showed that drought stress increased the flowering rate in both drooping and water shoots,increased the relative conductivity,decreased the relative water content(RWC)of leaves.The total soluble sugar,sucrose,fructose,and glucose in leaves of the drooping shoots were increased.The starch contents in the xylem of both drooping and water shoots were also increased by the treatment.The results indicated that drought stress enhances carbohydrate accumulation in A.carambola.This study provides a potential way by water control to induce flowering without chemical in A.carambola.WU Pingping WU Chubin ZHOU Biyan 2017Horticultural Plant Journal2017,3,2:1

9Hard-carbon hybrid Li-ion/metal anode enabled by preferred mesoporous uniform lithium growth mechanism显示文摘To achieve high energy density in lithium batteries,the construction of lithium-ion/metal hybrid anodes is a promising strategy.In particular,because of the anisotropy of graphite,hybrid anode formed by graphite/Li metal has low transport kinetics and is easy to causes the growth of lithium dendrites and accumulation of dead Li,which seriously affects the cycle life of batteries and even causes safety problems.Here,by comparing graphite with two types of hard carbon,it was found that hybrid anode formed by hard carbon and lithium metal,possessing more disordered mesoporous structure and lithophilic groups,presents better performance.Results indicate that the mesoporous structure provides abundant active site and storage space for dead lithium.With the synergistic effect of this structure and lithophilic functional groups(–COOH),the reversibility of hard carbon/lithium metal hybrid anode is maintained,promoting uniform deposition of lithium metal and alleviating formation of lithium dendrites.The hybrid anode maintains a 99.5%Coulombic efficiency(CE)after 260 cycles at a specific capacity of 500 m Ah/g.This work provides new insights into the hybrid anodes formed by carbon-based materials and lithium metal with high specific energy and fast charging ability.Fang Yan Yan Liu Yuan Li Yan Wang Zicen Deng Meng Li Zhenwei Zhu Aohan Zhou Ting Li Jingyi Qiu Gaoping Cao Shaobo Huang Biyan Wang Hao Zhang 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,88,1:0
