| 1 | A comparative study of the osteogenic performance between the hierarchical micro/submicro-textured 3D-printed Ti6Al4V surface and the SLA surface显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)printed titanium and its alloys have broad application prospect in the field of biomedical implant materials,although the biological performance of the original surface should be improved.Learning from the development experience of conventional titanium implants,to construct a hierarchical hybrid topological surface is the future direction of efforts.Since the original 3D-printed(3D hereafter)Ti6Al4V surface inherently has micron-scale features,in the present study,we introduced submicron-scale pits on the original surface by acid etching to obtain a hierarchical micro/submicro-textured surface.The characteristic and biological performance of the 3D-printed and acid-etched(3DA hereafter)surface were evaluated in vitro and in vivo,compared with the conventional sandblasted,large-grit,acid-etched(SLA hereafter)surface.Our results suggested the adhesion,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs),as well as the in vivo osseointegration on 3DA surfaces were significantly improved.However,the overall osteogenic performance of the 3DA surface was not as good as the conventional SLA surface. | Jinkai Zhanga Jiaqiang Liu Chengtao Wang Fengshan Chen Xudong Wang Kaili Lin | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,1: | 8 |

| 3 | High performance liquid chromatographic separation of thirteen drugs collected in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010(Ch.P2010) on cellulose ramification chiral stationary phase显示文摘The enantiomers separation of thirteen drugs collected in Ch.P2010 was performed on chiral stationary phase of cellulose ramification (chiralpak OD and chiralpak OJ) by high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) methods, which included ibuprofen (C1), ketoprofen (C2), nitrendipine (C3), nimodipine (C4), felodipine (C5), omeprazole (C6), praziquantel (C7), propranolol hydrochloride (C8), atenolol (C9), sulpiride (C10), clenbuterol hydrochloride (C11), verapamil hydrochloride (C12), and chlorphenamine maleate (C13). The mobile phase consisted of isopropanol and n-hexane. The detection wavelength was set at 254 nm and the fiow rate was 0.7 mL/min. The enantiomers separation of these thirteen racemates on chiralpak OD column and chiralpak OJ column was studied, while the effects of proportion of organic additives, alcohol displacer and temperature on the separation were studied. And the mechanism of some of racemates was discussed. The results indicated that thirteen chiral drugs could be separated onchiral stationary phase of cellulose ramification in normal phase chromatographic system. The chromatographic retention and resolution of enantiomers could be adjusted by factors including column temperature and the concentration of alcohol displacer and organic alkaline modifier in mobile phase. It was shown that the resolution was improved with reducing concentration of alcohol displacer. When concentration of organic alkaline modifier was 0.2% (v/v), the resolution and the peak shape were fairly good. Most racemates mentioned above had better resolution at column temperature of 25 1C. | 4 | Superhydrophobic fluoride conversion coating on bioresorbable magnesium alloy——fabrication,characterization,degradation and cytocompatibility with BMSCs显示文摘A micro-nano structure CaF_(2)chemical conversion layer was prepared on fluoride-treated AZ31 alloy,then the composite fluoride conversion film(CaF_(2)/MgF_(2))was modified by stearic acid(SA)and fabricated a superhydrophobic surface.The fluoride-treated magnesium,fluoride conversion film and superhydrophobic coating were characterized by SEM,EDS,XRD and FTIR.The properties of coatings1 adhesion and corrosion resistance were evaluated via tape test and electrochemical measurement.The cytocompatibility of the MgF_(2),CaF_(2)and superhydrophobic CaF_(2)/SA surface was investigated with bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)by direct culture for 24 h.The results showed that the superhydrophobic fluoride conversion coating composed of inner MgF_(2)layer and the outer CaF_(2)/SA composite layer had an average water contact angle of 152°.SA infiltrated into the micro-nano structure CaF_(2)layer and formed a strong adhesion with CaF_(2)layer.Furthermore,the super-hydrophobic coating showed higher barrier properties and corrosion resistance compared with the fluoride conversion film and fluoride-treated AZ31 alloy.The BMSC adhesion test results demonstrated MgF_(2)CaF_(2)and CaF_(2)/SA coatings were all nontoxic to BMSC.At the condition of in direct contact with cells,MgF_(2)showed higher cell density and enhanced the BMSCs proliferation,while CaF_(2)and CaF_(2)/SA coating showed no statistically difference in cell density compared with glass reference but the CaF_(2)and CaF_(2)/SA coating were not conducive to BMSCs adhesion. | Chunyan Zhanga Shiyu Zhang Dongwei Sun Jiajia Lin Fancheng Meng Huinan Liu | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,4: | 3 |
| 5 | A single mutation in the PBC loop of VP2 is involved in the in vitro replication of infectious bursal disease virus显示文摘To test whether amino acid mutations in the PBC and PHI loops of VP2 are involved in the replication and virulence of infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV), a pair of viruses, namely the moderately virulent IBDV(rG x-F9VP2) and the attenuated strain(rGt), were used. Residue mutations A222P(P_(BC)) and S330R(PHI), selected by sequence comparison, were introduced individually into r Gx-F9VP2 by using a reverse genetics system. In addition, the reverse mutation of either P222 A or R330 S was introduced into r Gt. The four modified viruses were then rescued and evaluated in vitro(CEF cells) and in vivo(SPF chickens). Results showed that A222 P elevated the replication efficiency of rG x-F9VP2 while P222 A reduced that of rG t in CEF cells. A mutation at residue 330 did not alter IBDV replication. In addition, animal experiments showed that a single mutation at either residue 222 or 330 did not significantly influence the virulence of IBDV. | 6 | Zinc finger factor ZNF121 is a MYC-interacting protein functionally affecting MYC and cell proliferation in epithelial cells显示文摘MYC is a potent oncoprotein that modulates multiple cellular processes including proliferation,apoptosis, differentiation, stemness, senescence, and migration. Functioning primarily as a transcriptional factor, MYC interacts with a large number of proteins, and identification and characterization of MYC-interacting proteins are important for understanding how MYC functions. In this study, we used different systems to demonstrate that a novel zinc finger transcription factor, ZNF121, physically interacted with MYC, and the interaction involved their N-terminal regions. Overexpression of ZNF121 increased, while its knockdown decreased, the expression of MYC in multiple epithelial cell lines, and MYC had similar effects on ZNF121 expression. An expression correlation was also detectable in a panel of epithelial cell lines and a cohort of human breast cancer tissues. Functionally, knockdown of ZNF121 in several breast epithelial cell lines attenuated the expressions of MYC and its target genes(e.g., EGR1,CDC2, and nucleolin) and slowed cell proliferation, accompanied by cell cycle arrest in the G1 phase and expression alteration of cell cycle regulators(cyclin D1, p14 and p21). Analysis of publically available databases showed that ZNF121 expression is up-regulated in human breast cancer, and the up-regulation significantly associates with worse patient survival in the luminal A subtype of breast cancer. | 10 | Synthetic poly-dioxolane as universal solid electrolyte interphase for stable lithium metal anodes显示文摘Lithium (Li) metal is a promising anode for the next generation high-energy–density batteries. However, the growth of Li dendrites, low coulombic efficiency and dramatic volume change limit its development. Here, we report a new synthetic poly-dioxolane (PDOL) approach to constructing an artificial 'elastic' SEI to stabilize the Li/electrolyte interface and the Li deposition/dissolution behavior in a variety of electrolytes. By coating PDOL with optimized molecular weights and synthetic routes on Li metal anode, the 'elastic' SEI layer could be maintained on top of the Li metal anode to accommodate the Li deposition/dissolution. No dendrite formation was observed during the cycling process, and the interfacial side reactions were reduced significantly. Consequently, we successfully achieved 330 cycles with a CE of 98.4% in ether electrolytes and 90 cycles with a CE of 94.3% in carbonate electrolytes. Simultaneously, the Li-metal batteries with LiFePO_(4) as cathodes also exhibited improved cycling performance.
