| 1 | A Pilot Study of the Therapeutic Efficacy and Mechanism of Artesunate in the MRL/lpr Murine Model of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus显示文摘Recent evidence indicates that artesunate has immunomodulatory properties that might be useful for treating autoimmune disease.In this study,we conducted a pilot study and explored the effect and mechanism of artesunate on the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus using an MRL/lpr murine model.MRL/lpr mice were divided into control,cyclophosphamide(CTX)and artesunate treatment groups.Blood was collected to measure serum levels of creatinine,antinuclear antibody(ANA)and anti-double-stranded DNA(anti-dsDNA)antibody.Twenty-four-hour urine was collected to measure levels of proteinuria.The concentration of monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1)in serum and urine was measured.The expression of MCP-1 in kidney was detected by Western blot and immunohistochemistry assay,respectively.The expression of B cell activating factor(BAFF)in spleen was determined by real time-PCR and immunoblotting.We found that artesunate significantly increased the survival rate,body weight and blood leukocyte counts,and reduced the serum levels of ANA and anti-dsDNA antibody titer,24 h urinary protein,and serum creatinine.Our results indicated that artesunate could decrease MCP-1,major pro-inflammation cytokine,in serum,urine and kidney.We also found that the level of BAFF,the major B cell activation factor,was decreased in artesunate treated MRL/lpr mice.Its efficacy was comparable with that of CTX in this study.Taken together,we have demonstrated that artesunate can inhibit the progression of disease and reverse the pathologic lesion of lupus nephritis. | Ouyang Jin Huayong Zhang Zhifeng Gu Shengnan Zhao Ting Xu Kangxing Zhou Bo Jiang Jie Wang Xiaofeng Zeng Lingyun Sun | 2009 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2009,6,6: | 20 |
| 2 | Focal depths for moderate-sized aftershocks of the Wenchuan M_S8.0 earthquake and their implications显示文摘Sliding-window cross-correlation method is firstly adopted to identify sPn phase, and to constrain focal depth from regional seismograms, by measuring the time separation between sPn and Pn phases. We present the focal depths of the 17 moderate-sized aftershocks (MS≥5.0) of the Wenchuan MS8.0 earth-quake, using the data recorded by the regional seismic broadband networks of Shaanxi, Qinghai, Gansu, Yunnan and Sichuan. Our results show focal depths of aftershocks range from 8 to 20 km, and tend to cluster at two average depths, separate at 32.5°N, i.e., 11 km to the south and 17 km to the north, indicating that these aftershocks are origin of upper-to-middle crust. | 3 | In-situ fabrication of PtSe2/GaN heterojunction for self-powered deep ultraviolet photodetector with ultrahigh current on/off ratio and detectivity显示文摘The research of ultraviolet photodetectors(UV PDs)have been attracting extensive attention,due to their important applications in many areas.In this study,PtSe2/GaN heterojunction is in-situ fabricated by synthesis of large-area vertically standing two-dimensional(2D)PtSe2 film on n-GaN substrate.The PtSe2/GaN heterojunction device demonstrates excellent photoresponse properties under illumination by deep UV light of 265 nm at zero bias voltage.Further analysis reveals that a high responsivity of 193 mA·W^-1,an ultrahigh specific detectivity of 3.8 × 10^14 Jones,linear dynamic range of 155d B and current on/off ratio of^10^8,as well as fast response speeds of 45/102μs were obtained at zero bias voltage.Moreover,this device response quickly to the pulse laser of 266 nm with a rise time of 172 ns.Such high-performanee PtSe2/GaN heteroj u nction UV PD demonstrated in this work is far superior to previously reported results,suggesting that it has great potential for deep UV detection. | Ranran Zhuo Longhui Zeng Huiyu Yuan Di Wu Yuange Wang Zhifeng Shi Tingting Xu Yongtao Tian Xinjian Li Yuen Hong Tsang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,1: | 11 |

| 5 | Highly sensitive solar-blind deep ultraviolet photodetector based on graphene/PtSe_(2)/β-Ga_(2)O_(3)2D/3D Schottky junction with ultrafast speed显示文摘There is an emerging need for high-sensitivity solar-blind deep ultraviolet(DUV)photodetectors with an ultra-fast response speed.Although nanoscale devices based on Ga_(2)O_(3)nanostructures have been developed,their practical applications are greatly limited by their slow response speed as well as low specific detectivity.Here,the successful fabrication of two-/three-dimensional(2D/3D)graphene(Gr)/PtSe2/β-Ga_(2)O_(3)Schottky junction devices for high-sensitivity solar-blind DUV photodetectors is demonstrated.Benefitting from the high-quality 2D/3D Schottky junction,the vertically stacked structure,and the superior-quality transparent graphene electrode for effective carrier collection,the photodetector is highly sensitive to DUV light illumination and achieves a high responsivity of 76.2 mA/W,a large on/off current ratio of~105,along with an ultra-high ultraviolet(UV)/visible rejection ratio of 1.8×104.More importantly,it has an ultra-fast response time of 12µs and a remarkable specific detectivity of~1013 Jones.Finally,an excellent DUV imaging capability has been identified based on the Gr/PtSe2/β-Ga_(2)O_(3)Schottky junction photodetector,demonstrating its great potential application in DUV imaging systems. | Di Wu Zhihui Zhao Wei Lu Lukas Rogée Longhui Zeng Pei Lin Zhifeng Shi Yongtao Tian Xinjian Li Yuen Hong Tsang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,6: | 4 |

| 7 | Rifampicin inhibits apoptosis in rotenone-induced differentiated PC12 cells by ameliorating mitochondrial oxidative stress显示文摘BACKGROUND:Previous studies have shown that rifampicin exhibits neuroprotective effects,but the precise mechanisms remain unclear.Rifampicin is thought to exert the neuroprotective effect as a hydroxyl free radical scavenger.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the protective effects of rifampicin pretreatment on rotenone-induced mitochondrial oxidative stress in differentiated PC12 cells.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A repeated measure,cell-based study was performed at the Department of Neurology,Second Affiliated Hospital,Sun Yat-sen University,China between December 2007 and November 2008.MATERIALS:PC12 cells were a kind gift from the Physiology Laboratory of Zhongshan Medical School,Sun Yat-sen University,China.Rotenone and rifampicin were purchased from Sigma,USA.METHODS:PC12 cells were differentiated by culturing with 100 ng/mL 7S nerve growth factor for 9 days in Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium/Nutrient Mix F12(DMEM/F12) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum.The cells were assigned to six groups according to various treatment conditions:control,cultured with normal media;rifampicin group,treated with 300 μmol/L rotenone for 26 hours;rotenone group,treated with 2.5 μmol/L rotenone for 24 hours;rifampicin pretreatment groups,pretreated with 100,200,and 300 μmol/L rifampicin for 2 hours,respectively,followed by 2.5 μmol/L rotenone for 24 hours.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Mitochondrial membrane potential was measured by fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry,respectively,using rhodamine123 staining.Intracellular reactive oxygen species formation was analyzed by flow cytometry using 2',7'-dichlorofluorescin-diacetate staining,and intracellular reduced glutathione was measured with a microplate reader.Cell viability was determined by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay.Cell apoptosis was detected by Hoechst 33342 staining and flow cytometry.RESULTS:Increased apoptosis in rotenone-induced,differentiated,PC12 cells was accompanied by the loss of mitochondrial transmembrane potential,the formation of reactive oxygen species,and reduced glutathione depletion(P<0.01).Rotenone-induced mitochondrial dysfunction was blocked in a dose-dependent manner by rifampicin(P<0.05 or P<0.01).CONCLUSION:Pretreatment of differentiated PC12 cells with rifampicin blocked rotenone-induced apoptosis by ameliorating mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress. | Shiwen Chen Yuanlin Sun Zhifeng Zeng Enxiang Tao | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,4: | 2 |

| 14 | A Method for Software Vulnerability Detection Based on Improved Control Flow Graph显示文摘With the rapid development of software technology, software vulnerability has become a major threat to computer security. The timely detection and repair of potential vulnerabilities in software, are of great significance in reducing system crashes and maintaining system security and integrity. This paper focuses on detecting three common types of vulnerabilities: Unused_Variable, Use_of_Uninitialized_Variable, and Use_After_ Free. We propose a method for software vulnerability detection based on an improved control flow graph(ICFG) and several predicates of vulnerability properties for each type of vulnerability. We also define a set of grammar rules for analyzing and deriving the three mentioned types of vulnerabilities, and design three vulnerability detection algorithms to guide the process of vulnerability detection. In addition, we conduct cases studies of the three mentioned types of vulnerabilities with real vulnerability program segments from Common Weakness Enumeration(CWE). The results of the studies show that the proposed method can detect the vulnerability in the tested program segments. Finally, we conduct manual analysis and experiments on detecting the three types of vulnerability program segments(30 examples for each type) from CWE, to compare the vulnerability detection effectiveness of the proposed method with that of the existing detection tool Cpp Check. The results show that the proposed method performs better.
