1Characterization of the receptor-binding domain(RBD)of 2019 novel coronavirus:implication for development of RBD protein as a viral attachment inhibitor and vaccine显示文摘The outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)has posed a serious threat to global public health,calling for the development of safe and effective prophylactics and therapeutics against infection of its causative agent,severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),also known as 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV).The CoV spike(S)protein plays the most important roles in viral attachment,fusion and entry,and serves as a target for development of antibodies,entry inhibitors and vaccines.Here,we identified the receptor-binding domain(RBD)in SARS-CoV-2 S protein and found that the RBD protein bound strongly to human and bat angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)receptors.SARS-CoV-2 RBD exhibited significantly higher binding affinity to ACE2 receptor than SARS-CoV RBD and could block the binding and,hence,attachment of SARS-CoV-2 RBD and SARS-CoV RBD to ACE2-expressing cells,thus inhibiting their infection to host cells.SARS-CoV RBD-specific antibodies could crossreact with SARS-CoV-2 RBD protein,and SARS-CoV RBD-induced antisera could cross-neutralize SARS-CoV-2,suggesting the potential to develop SARS-CoV RBD-based vaccines for prevention of SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV infection.Wanbo Tai Lei He Xiujuan Zhang Jing Pu Denis Voronin Shibo Jiang Yusen Zhou Lanying Du 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6:35

4Water blocking effect caused by the use of hydraulic methods for permeability enhancement in coal seams and methods for its removal显示文摘To research techniques for removing the water blocking effect caused by hydraulic applications in coal seams,the use of surfactants is proposed,based on the mechanics of the water blocking effect.Centrifugal experiments were used to validate the effects of using surfactants;the results show that after dealing with vacuum saturation with water,the volume of micropores decreases,which results in a larger average pore size,and the volume of transitional pores,mesopores,macropores and total pores increases.Based on the distribution of pore size,the operation mode of ‘‘water infusion after gas extraction,then continuing gas extraction' is recommended to improve the volume of coal mine gas drainage.When the reflectance of vitrinite in coal samples is less than 1,using the surfactants Fast T,1631,APG,BS can mitigate the damage caused by the water blocking effect.But when the reflectance of vitrinite is larger than 1.4,the damage caused by the water blocking effect can be increased.When the surfactant CMC is used in hydraulic applications,the capillary forces of coal samples are almost negative,which means the capillary force is in the same direction as the gas extraction.The direction of capillary forces benefits the gas flow.So,using CMC can play an active role in removing the water blocking effect.Centrifugal experiments confirm that using CMC can effectively remove the water blocking effect,which has a beneficial effect on improving the gas drainage volume.Liu Qian Guo Yusen An Fenghua Lin Luyao Lai Yongming 2016International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,4:8
5Glycerol aerobic oxidation to glyceric acid over Pt/hydrotalcite catalysts at room temperature显示文摘Glycerol(GLY) aerobic oxidation in an aqueous solution is one of the most prospective pathways in biomass transformation, where the supported catalysts based on noble metals(mainly Au, Pd, Pt) are most commonly employed. Herein, Pt nanoparticles supported on rehydrated MgxAl1-hydrotalcite(denoted as re-MgxAl1-LDH-Pt) were prepared via impregnation-reduction method followed by an in situ rehydration process, which showed high activity and selectivity towards GLY oxidation to produce glyceric acid(GLYA) at room temperature. The metal-support interfacial structure and catalyst basicity were modulated by changing the Mg/Al molar ratio of the hydrotalcite precursor, and the optimal performance was achieved on re-Mg6Al1-LDH-Pt with a GLY conversion of 87.6% and a GLYA yield of 58.6%, which exceeded the traditional activated carbon and oxide supports. A combinative study on structural characterizations(XANES, CO-FTIR spectra, and benzoic acid titration) proves that a higher Mg/Al molar ratio promotes the formation of positively charged Ptd+species at metal-support interface, which accelerates bond cleavage of a-C–H and improves catalytic activity. Moreover, a higher Mg/Al molar ratio provides a stronger basicity of support that contributes to the oxidation of terminal-hydroxyl and thus enhances the selectivity of GLYA. 6Changes in and evaluation of surface soil quality in Populus×xiaohei shelterbelts in midwestern Heilongjiang province,China显示文摘To examine changes in surface soil quality over time in Populus×xiaohei shelterbelts,we collected soil samples from five shelterbelts of different ages and also from former cropland left fallow for 25 years.Twenty-one surface soil(0–20 cm)properties were measured,and variation in soil quality was assessed using one-way ANOVAs and multiple comparison tests.Based on this analysis,16 soil indexes were used in a model evaluating soil quality,with each index given weight as determined by the correlation coefficient.Compared with the control,the postmature forest had greater soil moisture content but lower bulk density(P<0.05).The mature forest also had higher soil pH,total organic carbon,alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen,available phosphorus,and biomass nitrogen content,but reduced nitrate-nitrogen and total phosphorus content than the control(P<0.05).Total porosity was highly positively correlated with aeration,nitrate-nitrogen,alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen,available phosphorus,microbial biomass carbon and microbial biomass nitrogen.Soil total organic carbon,ammonium nitrogen,nitrate-nitrogen,alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen,total nitrogen,available phosphorus,microbial biomass carbon and microbial biomass nitrogen were all strongly correlated.In the soil quality evaluation model,total organic carbon was assigned the highest weight and total potassium content the lowest.The soil quality index was lowest in the near-mature forest and greatest in the postmature forest.Generally,soil quality in P opulus×xiaohei shelterbelts varied with age and was higher in the 10–20 cm versus 0–10 cm soil layer.After a single forest generation,surface soil quality was significantly improved.Jun Zhang Yusen Zhao Ying Xin 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,3:5

8Regulation of phenylpropanoid biosynthesis by MdMYB88 and MdMYB124 contributes to pathogen and drought resistance in apple显示文摘MdMYB88 and MdMYB124 have been demonstrated to be responsible for lignin accumulation in apple under drought stress.In this study,using a metabolomic approach,we identified differentially accumulated phenylpropanoid and flavonoid metabolites in MdMYB88/124 transgenic RNAi plants under control and long-term drought stress conditions in apple roots.We confirmed the regulation of phenylalanine by MdMYB88 and MdMYB124 via UPLC-MS in apple roots under both control and drought conditions.Using Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay(EMSA)and ChIPquantitative PCR(qPCR)analyses,we found that MdMYB88 positively regulates the MdCM2 gene,which is responsible for phenylalanine biosynthesis,through binding to its promoter region.Under long-term drought conditions,MdMYB88/124 RNAi plants consistently accumulated increased amounts of H2O2 and MDA,while MdMYB88 and MdMYB124 overexpression plants accumulated decreased amounts of H2O2 and MDA.We also examined the accumulation of metabolites in the phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathway in the leaves of MdMYB88 and MdMYB124 transgenic apple plants after long-term drought stress.We found that metabolites responsible for plant defense,including phenylpropanoids and flavonoids,accumulated less in the RNAi plants but more in the overexpression plants under both control and drought conditions.We further demonstrated that MdMYB88/124 RNAi plants were more sensitive to Alternaria alternata f.sp.mali and Valsa mali,two pathogens that currently severely threaten apple production.In contrast,MdMYB88 and MdMYB124 overexpression plants were more tolerant to these pathogens.The cumulative results of this study provided evidence for secondary metabolite regulation by MdMYB88 and MdMYB124,further explained the molecular roles of MdMYB88 and MdMYB124 in drought resistance,and provided information concerning molecular aspects of their roles in disease resistance.Dali Geng Xiaoxia Shen Yinpeng Xie Yusen Yang Ruiling Bian Yuqi Gao Pengmin Li Liying Sun Hao Feng Fengwang Ma Qingmei Guan 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:5

10Fault Diagnosis of Power Transformers Using Graph Convolutional Network显示文摘Existing methods for transformer fault diagnosis either train a classifier to fit the relationship between dissolved gas and fault type or find some similar cases with unknown samples by calculating the similarity metrics.Their accuracy is limited,since they are hard to learn from other algorithms to improve their own performance.To improve the accuracy of transformer fault diagnosis,a novel method for transformer fault diagnosis based on graph convolutional network(GCN)is proposed.The proposed method has the advantages of two kinds of existing methods.Specifically,the adjacency matrix of GCN is utilized to fully represent the similarity metrics between unknown samples and labeled samples.Furthermore,the graph convolutional layers with strong feature extraction ability are used as a classifier to find the complex nonlinear relationship between dissolved gas and fault type.The back propagation algorithm is used to complete the training process of GCN.The simulation results show that the performance of GCN is better than that of the existing methods such as convolutional neural network,multi-layer perceptron,support vector machine,extreme gradient boosting tree,k-nearest neighbors and Siamese network in different input features and data volumes,which can effectively meet the needs of diagnostic accuracy.Wenlong Liao Dechang Yang Yusen Wang Xiang Ren 2021CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,2:4
11Precursors and potential sources of ground-level ozone in suburban Shanghai显示文摘A high level of ozone(O3)is frequently observed in the suburbs of Shanghai,the reason for this high levei remains unclear.To obtain a detailed insight on the high level of 03 during summer in Shanghai,03 and its precursors were measured at a suburban site in Shanghai from July 1;2016 to July 31,2016.Using the Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory,(HYSPLIT)model and concentration weighted trajectories(CW T),we found that Zhejiang province was the main potential source.of 03 in suburban Shanghai.When the sampling site was cotrolled by south-westerm winds exceeding 2 m/s,the O3-rich air masses from upwind regions(such as Zhejiang province)could be transported to the.suburban Shanghai.The propylene-equivalent concentation(PEC)and ozone formation potential(OFP)were,further calculated for each vOC species,and the resuts suggested that propylene,(m+p)-xylene,and.toluene played dominant roles in O3 formation.The Ozone Isopleth Plotting Research(OZIPR)model was used to reveal the impact ofO;precursors on O3 formation,and 4 base-cases were.selected to adjust the model simulaton.An average disparity.of 18.20%was achieved between the simulated and observed 03 concentrations.The 03 isopleth diagram ilustrated that 03 fomatin in July 2016 was in VOC-senstive regime,although the VOCNO,ratio was greater than 20.By intoducing sensitivity(S),a sensitvity analysis was performed for 03 formaton.We found.that 03 formation was senstive to propylene,(m+p)-xylene,e,o-xylene and toluene.The results provide theoretical suppot for 0;plluton treatment in Shanghai.Kun Zhang Jialuo Xu Qing Huang Lei Zhou Qingyan Fu Yusen Duan Guangli Xiu 2020Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,6:4

13Response of PM_(2.5)-bound elemental species to emission variations and associated health risk assessment during the COVID-19 pandemic in a coastal megacity显示文摘The coronavirus(COVID-19)pandemic is disrupting the world from many aspects.In this study,the impact of emission variations on PM_(2.5)-bound elemental species and health risks associated to inhalation exposure has been analyzed based on real-time measurements at a remote coastal site in Shanghai during the pandemic.Most trace elemental species decreased significantly and displayed almost no diel peaks during the lockdown.After the lockdown,they rebounded rapidly,of which V and Ni even exceeded the levels before the lockdown,suggesting the recovery of both inland and shipping activities.Five sources were identified based on receptor modeling.Coal combustion accounted for more than 70%of the measured elemental concentrations before and during the lockdown.Shipping emissions,fugitive/mineral dust,and waste incineration all showed elevated contributions after the lockdown.The total non-carcinogenic risk(HQ)for the target elements exceeded the risk threshold for both children and adults with chloride as the predominant species contributing to HQ.Whereas,the total carcinogenic risk(TR)for adults was above the acceptable level and much higher than that for children.Waste incineration was the largest contributor to HQ,while manufacture processing and coal combustion were the main sources of TR.Lockdown control measures were beneficial for lowering the carcinogenic risk while unexpectedly increased the non-carcinogenic risk.From the perspective of health effects,priorities of control measures should be given to waste incineration,manufacture processing,and coal combustion.A balanced way should be reached between both lowering the levels of air pollutants and their health risks.Guochen Wang Kan Huang Qingyan Fu Jia Chen Juntao Huo Qianbiao Zhao Yusen Duan Yanfen Lin Fan Yang Wenjie Zhang Hao Li Jian Xu Xiaofei Qin Na Zhao Congrui Deng 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,12:2

17Data-driven Missing Data Imputation for Wind Farms Using Context Encoder显示文摘High-quality datasets are of paramount importance for the operation and planning of wind farms.However,the datasets collected by the supervisory control and data acquisition(SCADA)system may contain missing data due to various factors such as sensor failure and communication congestion.In this paper,a data-driven approach is proposed to fill the missing data of wind farms based on a context encoder(CE),which consists of an encoder,a decoder,and a discriminator.Through deep convolutional neural networks,the proposed method is able to automatically explore the complex nonlinear characteristics of the datasets that are difficult to be modeled explicitly.The proposed method can not only fully use the surrounding context information by the reconstructed loss,but also make filling data look real by the adversarial loss.In addition,the correlation among multiple missing attributes is taken into account by adjusting the format of input data.The simulation results show that CE performs better than traditional methods for the attributes of wind farms with hallmark characteristics such as large peaks,large valleys,and fast ramps.Moreover,the CE shows stronger generalization ability than traditional methods such as auto-encoder,K-means,k-nearest neighbor,back propagation neural network,cubic interpolation,and conditional generative adversarial network for different missing data scales.Wenlong Liao Birgitte Bak-Jensen Jayakrishnan Radhakrishna Pillai Dechang Yang Yusen Wang 2022Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2022,10,4:1

19Effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine on the survival of patients with stage Ⅰ gastric cancer and high-risk factors:a real-world retrospective study显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) therapy for improving the survival of patients with stage I gastric cancer(GC) and high-risk factors in a real-world setting.METHODS:The clinical data of patients who were diagnosed with stage I GC from March 1,2012 to October 31,2020 were collected.Prognostic analysis was performed to explore the high-risk factors that affected the survival of the patients.A Cox multivariate regression model was used to compare the hazard ratios for the mortality risk of patients,especially those with high-risk factors.Kaplan-Meier survival curve and log-rank test were utilized to assess the survival time.RESULTS:Prognostic analysis demonstrated that female sex,tumor invasion into blood vessels,and Ib stage were independent risk factors.The 1-,3-,and 5-year survival rates of the TCM group vs those of the non-TCM group were 100.0% vs 91.0%,97.6% vs 64.5%,and 81.4% vs 55.5%,respectively.A significant difference in median overall survival(m OS) was found between the two groups(χ2 = 7.670,P = 0.006).Subgroup analysis showed that the m OS of female patients and stage Ib patients in the TCM group were longer than those in the non-TCM group (P ≤ 0.001 and 0.001,respectively).CONCLUSIONS:TCM treatment can improve the survival of patients with stage I GC and high-risk factors.HOU Chao ZHANG Yusen YANG Die LI Yifei ZHANG Xiaochun LIU Yanqing 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,3:1
