2The first all-season sample set for mapping global land cover with Landsat-8 data显示文摘We report the world's first all-season training and validation sample sets for global land cover classification with Landsat-8 data.Prior to this,such samples were only available at a single date primarily from the growing season.It is unknown how much limitation such a single-date sample has to mapping global land cover in other seasons of the year.To answer this question,we selected available Landsat-8 images from four seasons and collected training and validation samples from them.We compared the performances of training samples in different seasons using Random Forest algorithm.We found that the use of training samples from any individual season would result in the best overall classification accuracy when validated by samples in the same season.The global overall accuracy from combined best seasonal results was 67.2% when classifying the 11 Level-1 classes in the Finer Resolution Observation and Monitoring of Global Land Cover(FROM-GLC) classification system.The use of training samples from all seasons(named all-season training sample set hereafter) produced an overall accuracy of 67.0%.We also tested classification within 10° latitude 60° longitude zones using all-season training subsample within each zone and obtained an overall accuracy of 70.2%.This indicates that properly grouped subsamples in space can help improve classification accuracies.All the results in this study seem to suggest that it is possible to use an all-season training sample set to reach global optimality with universal applicability in classifying images acquired at any time of a year for global land cover mapping.Congcong Li Peng Gong Jie Wang Zhiliang Zhu Gregory S. 3Biodegradable mineralized collagen plug for the reconstruction of craniotomy burr‐holes:A report of three cases显示文摘Objectives: In this case report, we describe the design, fabrication and clinical outcomes of a novel bioresorbable, mineralized collagen burr‐hole plug for the reconstruction of craniotomy burr‐holes. Methods: Mineralized collagen burr‐hole plugs were fabricated via a biomimetic mineralization process. The biomimetic mineralized collagen has a similar chemical composition and microstructure to natural bone tissue, thereby possessing good biocompatibility and osteoconductivity. The mineralized collagen burr‐hole plugs were implanted into three patients, and clinical outcomes were evaluated at one‐year follow‐ups. Results: All bone defects healed very well using the mineralized collagen burr‐hole plugs, and there were no adverse reactions at the surgical sites. 4Skull repair materials applied in cranioplasty: History and progress显示文摘The skull provides protection and mechanical support, and acts as a container for the brain and its accessory organs. Some defects in the skull can fatally threaten human life.Many efforts have been taken to repair defects in the skull, among which cranioplasty is the most prominent technique. To repair the injury, numerous natural and artificial materials have been adopted by neurosurgeons. Many cranioprostheses have been tried in the past decades, from autoplast to bioceramics. Neurosurgeons have been evaluating their advantages and shortages through clinical practice. Among those prostheses, surgeons gradually prefer bionic ones due to their marvelous osteoconductivity,osteoinductivity, biocompatibility, and biodegradability. Autogeneic bone has been widely recognized as the 'gold standard' for renovating large-sized bone defects. However, the access to this technique is restricted by limited availability and complications associated with its use. Many metal and polymeric materials with mechanical characteristics analogous to natural bones were consequently applied to cranioplasty. But most of them were unsatisfactory concerning osteoconductiion and biodegradability owe to their intrinsic properties. With the microstructures almost identical to natural bones, mineralized collagen has biological performance nearly identical to autogeneic bone, such as osteoconduction. Implants made of mineralized collagen can integrate themselves into the newly formed bones through a process called 'creeping substitution'. In this review, the authors retrospect the evolution of skull repair material applied in cranioplasty. 6Study on Unstable Characteristics of Centrifugal Pump under Different Cavitation Stages显示文摘In order to reveal the regularity of unsteady flow of centrifugal pump under different cavitation stages,a visual closed test-bed is built to collect signals such as the distribution of cavitation bubbles at the impeller inlet and external characteristics,etc.in the process of cavitation of centrifugal pumps.Combined with the shape and distribution of bubbles captured by high-speed photography,the cavitation stage of the centrifugal pump is divided.In addition,the variation of vorticity distribution,pressure pulsation and radial force of centrifugal pump under different cavitation stages are studied using the standard κ-ε turbulence model and the Kunz cavitation model.Main contributions are as follows:The cavitation bubbles can absorb the energy of vortex core to a certain extent and increase the volume of vortex core.Cavitation bubbles can also block the flow-path and induce the distortion of the internal flow field,resulting in unstable pressure waves that cause a significant increase in pressure pulsation rate.Besides,with the development of cavitation,the radial force on the impeller tends to remain invariable first and then decrease,and trajectory of the radial force changes from closed to open.DONG Liang SHANG Huanhuan ZHAO Yuqi LIU Houlin DAI Cui WANG Ying 2019Journal of Thermal Science2019,28,4:4
7Synthesis and evaluation of methionine and folate co-decorated chitosan self-assembly polymeric micelles as a potential hydrophobic drug-delivery system显示文摘In this study, an amphiphilic copolymer folate-succinyl-methionine-chitosan-octyl (FSMCO) was successfully synthesized step by step for self-assembling polymeric micelles. The copolymers formed micelle-like nanoparticles by their amphiphilic characteristics and structures were examined by UV-Vis absorption and Fourier transform spectroscopy. The sizes of blank and ICG derivativeloaded micelles measured by dynamic light scattering were about 170 and 140 nm, respectively, which were spherical in shape with an average zeta potential of 10 mV. Further studies on the stability showed that the micellar solutions maintain their sizes at room temperature for 1 month without distinct aggregation or dissociation. ICG derivative was much better photostable after being entrapped by the new carrier. The prepared FSMCO micelles displayed a good drug loading content (11.7%), entrapment efficiency (66.5%) and sustained release rate for the model drug fluorescein. The copolymers demonstrated weeny cytotoxicity toward Bel-7402, L02 and A549 cells when incubated for 2 d. Ligands modified micelles endowed preferable cell targeting capability and beautiful cell inhibition of HCPT-FSMCO on Bel-7402 tumor cells. 8Novel synthesis of Z-schemeα-Bi2O_(3)/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite photocatalyst and its enhanced visible light photocatalytic performance:Influence of calcination temperature显示文摘In this study,α-Bi2O_(3)/g-C_(3)N_(4) nanocomposite with direct Z-scheme was successfully prepared through calcination of BiOCOOH/g-C_(3)N_(4) precursor at different temperature.Meanwhile,the effect of calcination temperature on the physicochemical properties ofα-Bi2O_(3)/g-C_(3)N_(4) was studied.All results confirmed that calcination tempe rature greatly influences structural,morphology,surface states,photoelectrochemical property and photocatalytic(PC)perfo rmance ofα-Bi2O_(3)/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite.Furthermore,theα-Bi2O_(3)/gC_(3)N_(4) composite was applied as photocatalyst to degrade amido black 10 B dye under visible light irradiation.It was found that the composite synthesized at 400℃exhibited the highest PC performance due to the intense visible light absorbance and high separation efficiency of electron and hole pairs.Besides,the possible PC mechanism was proposed that the photo-generated charge carrier migration inα-Bi2O_(3)/g-C_(3)N_(4) photocatalyst followed a Z-scheme structure.Finally,the stability test also manifest that theα-Bi2O_(3)/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite photocatalyst has good stability and reusability,which was a promising candidate for wastewater treatment.Bo Li Li-Chao Nengzi Ruonan Guo Yuqi Cui Youxian Zhang Xiuwen Cheng 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:3
9Geo-cognitive computing method for identifying“source-sink”landscape patterns of river basin non-point source pollution显示文摘The aim of this study was to quantitatively evaluate the influences of landscape composition and spatial structure on the transmission process of non-point source pollutants in different regions.The location-weighted landscape contrast index,using the hydrological response unit(HRULCI)as the minimum research unit,was proposed in this paper.Through the description of the endemic landscape types and various geographical factors in the basin,the index calculation can reflect the impact of the“source-sink”landscape structure on the non-point source pollution in different regions and quantitatively evaluate the contribution of different landscape types and geographical factors to non-point source pollution.This study constructed a method of geo-cognitive computing for identifying“source-sink”landscape patterns of river basin non-point source pollution at two levels.1)The basin level:the spatial distribution and landscape combination of the entire basin are identified,and the crucial“source”and“sink”landscape types are obtained to measure the differences in the non-point source pollutant transmission processes between the“source”and“sink”landscapes in the different watersheds.2)The landscape level:HRULCI is calculated based on multiple geographical correction weighting factors.By using the idea of intersecting geographic information system(GIS)and landscape ecology,the landscape spatial pattern and ecological processes are linked.Compared with the traditional method for studying landscape patterns,the calculation of HRULCI makes the proposed method more ecologically significant.Lastly,a case study was evaluated to verify the significance of the proposed research method by taking the Yanshi River basin,a sub-basin belonging to the Jiulong River basin located in Fujian Province,China,as the experimental study zone.The results showed that this method can reflect the spatial distribution characteristics of the“source-sink”types and their relationship with non-point source pollution.By comparing the resulting calculation based on HRULCI,the risk of nutrient loss and the influence of landscape patterns and ecological processes on non-point pollution in different catchments can be obtained.Zhang Xin Cui Jintian Liu Yuqi Wang Lei 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,5:3
10Comparison of different microsurgery methods for trigeminal neuralgia显示文摘Objective: To study the influence of different microsurgical methods on surgical outcomes and complications, and to improve the surgical outcomes for trigeminal neuralgia. Methods: The clinical data of 109 patients with trigeminal neuralgia, who were treated with microsurgery, were analyzed retrospectively. All patients were divided into 3 groups according to surgical modality: the trigeminal neuralgia decompression group(TND group, 19 patients), the TND and rhizotomy group(rhizotomy group,55 patients), and the TND and selective lesioning group(lesioning group, 35 patients).The mid-term and short-term effects of microsurgery, and the occurrences of complications, were compared between the 3 groups. Results: There were no statistical differences in the frequency of complications between the 3 groups(P > 0.05). Eighty-four patients were followed up for 6 to 33 months. The rate of pain disappearance was found to be 94.4% in the TND group, and 100% in both the rhizotomy and lesioning groups; thus, no significant differences were found between these 3 groups(P > 0.05). Additionally, 50% of the patients in the rhizotomy group and 3.6% of the patients in the lesioning group had facial numbness while no patients were affected with facial numbness in the TND group, and the differences between these 3 groups were significant(P < 0.05). Conclusions: Microsurgery is effective and safe for trigeminal neuralgia. 12Modulating the function of ABCB1: in vitro and in vivo characterization of sitravatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor显示文摘Background:Overexpression of ATP-binding cassette(ABC)transporter is a major contributor to multidrug resistance(MDR),in which cancer cells acquire resistance to a wide spectrum of chemotherapeutic drugs.In this work,we evaluated the sensitizing effect of sitravatinib,a broad-spectrum tyrosine kinase inhibitor(TKI),on ATP-binding cassette subfamily B member 1(ABCB1)-and ATP-binding cassette subfamily C member 10(ABCC10)-mediated MDR.Methods:MTT assay was conducted to examine cytotoxicity and evaluate the sensitizing effect of sitravatinib at non-toxic concentrations.Tritium-labeled paclitaxel transportation,Western blotting,immunofluorescence analysis,and ATPase assay were carried out to elucidate the mechanism of sitravatinib-induced chemosensitization.The in vitro findings were translated into preclinical evaluation with the establishment of xenograft models.Results:Sitravatinib considerably reversed MDR mediated by ABCB1 and partially antagonized ABCC10-mediated MDR.Our in silico docking simulation analysis indicated that sitravatinib strongly and stably bound to the transmembrane domain of ABCB1 human-mouse chimeric model.Furthermore,sitravatinib inhibited hydrolysis of ATP and synchronously decreased the efflux function of ABCB1.Thus,sitravatinib could considerably enhance the intracellular concentration of anticancer drugs.Interestingly,no significant alterations of both expression level and localization of ABCB1 were observed.More importantly,sitravatinib could remarkably restore the antitumor activity of vincristine in ABCB1-mediated xenograft model without observable toxic effect.Conclusions:The findings in this study suggest that the combination of sitrvatinib and substrate antineoplastic drugs of ABCB1 could attenuate the MDR mediated by the overexpression of ABCB1.Yuqi Yang Ning Ji Chao-Yun Cai Jing-Quan Wang Zi-Ning Lei Qiu-Xu Teng Zhuo-Xun Wu Qingbin Cui Yihang Pan Zhe-Sheng Chen 2020Cancer Communications2020,40,7:2
13Repairing skull defects in children with nano-hap/collagen composites: A clinical report of thirteen cases显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the clinical results of repairing skull defects with biomimetic bone(nano-hap/collagen composites,NHACs)in children.Methods:Thirteen children with skull defects were treated with NHACs in our hospital.The NHACs molded with the help of a 3D printer were used in the operations.Results:All 13 operations were successful,and patients recovered without infection.Only one patient suffered from subcutaneous hydrops post-operation.The implanted NHACs remained fixed well after 1 year,and their CT HU values raised gradually.Skull shapes of children developed normally.Recovery of neurological and cognitive function was significant.Conclusions:NHAC,chosen to repair skull defects in children,can coexist with normal skull and reduce the negative effects on growth and development.NHAC could be a good choice for children with skull defects.Tuoyu Chen Yuqi Zhang Huancong Zuo Yapeng Zhao Chaoqiang Xue Bin Luo Qinglin Zhang Jin Zhu Xiumei Wang Fuzhai Cui 2016Translational Neuroscience and Clinics2016,2,1:2
14Characteristics of Uranium Mineralization in Red Clastic Formations in the Southwestern Margin of the Ordos Basin显示文摘In the southwestern margin of the Ordos Basin,uranium mineralization is primarily hosted by predominantly oxidative red clastic formations in the Lower Cretaceous.The main target layers for uranium exploration are the Madongshan and Liwaxia formations of the Liupanshan Group,followed by the Jingchuan Formation of the Zhidan Group.The host rocks(medium-fine feldspar quartz sandstone),which are bleached to a light grayish white color,contain a minor organic matter component and pyrite.Uranium mineralization changes from surficial infiltration or phreatic oxidation in the upper part to interlayer oxidation in the lower part.Uranium ore bodies are mostly lenticular or tabular in shape,locally shaped like crescent rolls.Individual ore bodies are typically small and shallow.Uranium predominantly manifests as pitchblende and coffinite.Coffinite is usually short and columnar or granular in habit,whereas pitchblende occurs as an irregular colloidal covering on the surface or in fissures of ferric oxide,silicate,clay or carbonate.Secondary uranium minerals are torbernite,uranophane,and uranopilite.Minerals associated with uranium are mainly pyrite,chalcopyrite and,to a minor extent,arsenopyrite and fluorite.The associated elements are Mo,V,Se,Co,Ni,and Mn,the host sandstone being high in Cu and Ba.Overall,the red clastic formations in the southwestern margin of the Ordos Basin are characterized by’five multiples but one low’which means multiple target layers,multiple stages of mineralization,multiple ore body shapes,multiple kinds of uranium minerals,multiple associated elements,but low organic matter.This implies an overall complex uranium metallogenic environment and mineralization process.It is recommended that future uranium exploration should take into consideration regional metallogenic conditions and mineralization features,with target layers in the wide-smooth synclinal slope being focused on.Most uranium deposits are small to medium in size,and the main type of uranium mineralization can vary by target layer.ZHANG Zilong HE Feng YI Longsheng FAN Honghai CAI Yuqi LIU Hongxu LIU Xinyang CHEN Hongbin JIA Cui YANG Mengjia 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,5:1

16Innovations and stepwise evolution of CBFs/DREB1s and their regulatory networks in angiosperms显示文摘The C-repeat binding factors/dehydrationresponsive element binding protein 1 s(CBFs/DREB1 s)have been identified as major regulators of cold acclimation in many angiosperm plants.However,their origin and evolutionary process associated to cold responsiveness are still lacking.By integrating multi-omics data of genomes,transcriptomes,and CBFs/DREB1 s genome-wide binding profiles,we unveil the origin and evolution of CBFs/DREB1 s and their regulatory network.Gene collinearity and phylogeny analyses show that CBF/DREB1 is an innovation evolved from tandem duplication-derived DREBⅢgene.A subsequent event of e-whole genome duplication led to two CBF/DREB1 archetypes(CladesⅠandⅡ)in ancient angiosperms.In contrast to cold-insensitivity of Clade I and their parent DREBⅢgenes,CladeⅡevolved a further innovation in cold-sensitive response and was stepwise expanded in eudicots and monocots by independent duplications.In geological time,the duplication events were mainly enriched around the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K-Pg)boundary and/or in the Late Cenozoic Ice Age,when the global average temperature significantly decreased.Consequently,the duplicated CBF/DREB1 genes contributed to the rewiring of CBFs/DREB1 s-regulatory network for cold tolerance.Altogether,our results highlight an origin and convergent evolution of CBFs/DREB1 s and their regulatory network probably for angiosperms adaptation to global cooling.Yuqi Nie Liangyu Guo Fuqiang Cui Yirong Shen Xiaoxue Ye Deyin Deng Shuo Wang Jianhua Zhu Wenwu Wu 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,11:1

18Dual-aligned porous electrodes for enhanced hydrogen evolution in alkaline water electrolysis显示文摘The efficiency of water electrolysis is significantly affected by the bubbles on the surface and inside the electrode.To enhance the gas-liquid transfer within the porous electrodes,we developed an innovative design termed dual-aligned porous electrode(D-APE),achieved by integrating magnetic alignment with freeze casting techniques.This paper investigates the hydrogen evolution performance of porous electrodes prepared using four different methods:evaporation,magnetic-aligned evaporation,freeze casting,and dual-aligned methods.The findings demonstrate that the magnetic-aligned process effectively alters the electrode structure,resulting in improved hydrogen evolution performance.Notably,among all the examined electrodes,the D-APE exhibits the highest hydrogen evolution performance,with further enhancements observed with prolonged the time of magnetic alignment.Furthermore,a comparison is made between electrodes prepared using the freeze casting method and the dual-aligned method at various thickness.The results show that the thinner D-APE exhibits excellent hydrogen evolution performance at high current density.Moreover,the D-APE demonstrates significantly improved material utilization rates compared to the conventional freeze casting method,offering promising prospects for enhancing the efficiency of water electrolysis.Yuqi Zhang Wenzhi Cui Longjian Li Chongbo Wang Chen Zhan Xiaojun Quan 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
19A neuropsin-based optogenetic tool for precise control of Gq signaling显示文摘G_(q)-coupled receptors regulate numerous physiological processes by activating enzymes and inducing intracellular Ca^(2+)signals.There is a strong need for an optogenetic tool that enables powerful experimental control over G_(q) signaling.Here,we present chicken opsin 5(cOpn5)as the long sought-after,single-component optogenetic tool that mediates ultra-sensitive optical control of intracellular G_(q) signaling with high temporal and spatial resolution.Expressing cOpn5 in HEK 293T cells and primary mouse astrocytes enables blue light-triggered,G_(q)-dependent Ca^(2+) release from intracellular stores and protein kinase C activation.Strong Ca^(2+) transients were evoked by brief light pulses of merely 10 ms duration and at 3 orders lower light intensity of that for common optogenetic tools.Photostimulation of cOpn5-expressing cells at the subcellular and single-cell levels generated fast intracellular Ca^(2+)transition,thus demonstrating the high spatial precision of cOpn5 optogenetics.The cOpn5-mediated optogenetics could also be applied to activate neurons and control animal behavior in a circuit-dependent manner.cOpn5 optogenetics may find broad applications in studying the mechanisms and functional relevance of G_(q) signaling in both non-excitable cells and excitable cells in all major organ systems.Ruicheng Dai Tao Yu Danwei Weng Heng Li Yuting Cui Zhaofa Wu Qingchun Guo Haiyue Zou Wenting Wu Xinwei Gao Zhongyang Qi Yuqi Ren Shu Wang Yulong Li Minmin Luo 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,7:0
20Intrinsic kinetics of catalytic hydrogenation of 2-nitro-4-acetylamino anisole to 2-amino-4-acetylamino anisole over Raney nickel catalyst显示文摘The catalytic hydrogenation of 2-nitro-4-acetylamino anisole(NMA)is a less-polluting and efficient method to produce 2-amino-4-acetamino anisole(AMA).However,the kinetics of catalytic hydrogenation of NMA to AMA remains obscure.In this work,the kinetic models including power-law model and Langmuir-Hinshelwood-Hougen-Watson(LHHW)model of NMA hydrogenation to AMA catalyzed by Raney nickel catalyst were investigated.All experiments were carried out under the elimination of mass transfer resistance within the temperature range of 70–100°C and the hydrogen pressure of 0.8–1.5 MPa.The reaction was found to follow 0.52-order kinetics with respect to the NMA concentration and 1.10-order kinetics in terms of hydrogen pressure.Based on the LHHW model,the dual-site dissociation adsorption of hydrogen was analyzed to be the rate determining step.The research of intrinsic kinetics of NMA to AMA provides the guidance for the reactor design and inspires the catalyst modification.Xiangyang Cui Xin Zhang Baoju Wang Yuqi Sun Haikui Zou Guangwen Chu Yong Luo Jianfeng Chen 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,64,12:0
