2Characterization of PM_(2.5)/PM_(2.5-10) and source tracking in the juncture belt between urban and rural areas of Beijing显示文摘Coarse (PM2.5-10) and fine (PM2.5) atmospheric particulate samples were collected in summer and winter during 2005―2007 in the juncture belt between urban and rural areas of Beijing. Elements, ions, organic/elemental carbon (OC/EC) and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were determined to obtain some latest information about the particulate pollution in the juncture belt of Beijing. Particulate matter levels at this site were high as compared with the levels at other sampling sites in Beijing. Pollution elements, secondary ions and PAHs were enriched in fine particles rather than in coarse particles. An obvious seasonal variation of the chemical composition of PM was observed. Source apportionment results showed that secondary components were the largest mass contributor of PM2.5, accounting for 28%; whereas soil-related sources were the largest contributor of PM2.5-10, explaining about 49% of the total mass. 3Productivity matching and quantitative prediction of coalbed methane wells based on BP neural network显示文摘It is a great challenge to match and predict the production performance of coalbed methane (CBM) wells in the initial production stage due to heterogeneity of coalbed, uniqueness of CBM production process, complexity of porosity-permeability variation and difficulty in obtaining some key parameters which are critical for the conventional prediction methods (type curve, material balance and numerical simulation). BP neural network, a new intelligent technique, is an effective method to deal with nonlinear, instable and complex system problems and predict the short-term change quantitatively. In this paper a BP neural model for the CBM productivity of high-rank CBM wells in Qinshui Basin was established and used to match the past gas production and predict the futural production performance. The results from two case studies showed that this model has high accuracy and good reliability in matching and predicting gas production with different types and different temporal resolutions, and the accuracy increases as the number of outliers in gas production data decreases. 4A NEW PUBLIC-KEY ENCRYPTION SCHEME BASED ON LUCAS SEQUENCE显示文摘Investigated the properties of LUCas sequence(LUC), the paper proposed a new variant of (probabilistic) public-key encryption scheme. Security analysis of the proposed encryption schemes shows that its one-wayness is equivalent to partial LUC discrete logarithm problem in ZN, and for the proposed probabilistic encryption scheme, its semantic security is equivalent to decisional LUC Diffie-Hellman problem in ZN. 9Analysis of Lymph Node Metastases of 1,526 Cases with Thoracic Esophageal and Cardiac Carcinomas: A Random Sampling Report froni the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from 1996 to 2004显示文摘OBJECTIVE To summarize the regular pattern and state oflymph node metastasis of patients with esophageal and cardiaccarcinomas,so as to analyze factors influencing lymph nodemetastasis.METHODS Clinical data collected from 1,526 thoracicesophageal and cardiac carcinoma patients who were admitted inthe Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University during a periodfrom January 1996 to December 2004,were randomly selectedand an Access Database of the patient's information was set up.Eight clinico-pathologic factors,including the patient's age,tumorlocation and size,pathological classification,the depth of tumorinvasion,vascular tumor embolus (VTE),the state of surroundingorgan encroachment and the status of tumor residues,wereidentified.A correlation between these factors and metastases wasstatistically analyzed using SPSS13.0 software.RESULTS Lymph node metastatic sites from esophagealcarcinomas included the thoracic and abdominal cavity.Lymphnode metastasis from the superior esophageal carcinomasmainly occurred in the neck and thoracic cavity.There was atwo-way lymph node metastasis in the patients with the middleesophageal carcinoma.The inferior esophageal carcinomas mainlymetastasized to the paraesophageal,paragastric cardia,and leftgastric artery lymph nodes.The rate and degree of the metastasisfrom the inferior esophageal carcinomas were significantly highercompared to those of the superior and the middle esophagealcarcinomas (P<0.0125).The degree of abdominal lymph node metastasis fromcarcinomas of the gastric cardia was significantly higher comparedwith that of esophageal carcinomas.In the group with carcinomaof the gastric cardia,the rate and degree of the lymph nodemetastases in the paragastric cardia and left gastric artery weresignificantly higher compared to the group with esophagealcarcinoma (P<0.05).Paraesophageal lymph node metastasis fromcarcinomas of the gastric cardia in the thoracic cavity frequentlyoccurred,too,and the degree of the metastasis was similar to thatof esophageal carcinoma.There was no significant difference inthe rate and degree of the paraesophageal lymph-node metastasisbetween the group with carcinoma of the gastric cardia comparedto those with esophageal carcinoma (P>0.05).Multifactoriallogistic regression analysis showed that the tumor size,depth oftumor encroachment,VTE,and tumor residues could all bringabout obvious impact on lymph-node metastases (P<0.05).CONCLUSION Lymph node metastasis from superioresophageal carcinomas mainly occurs in the neck and thoraciccavity.The middle esophageal carcinomas presented a two-waylymph-node metastasis (both the upwards and the downwards),and the lymph node metastasis from inferior esophagealcarcinomas mainly occurred in the thoracic and abdominal cavities.The metastases of carcinoma of the gastriccardia were most commonly found in the abdominalcavity,with frequent paraesophageal lymph-nodemetastasis.The sufficient attention should be paidto neck lymph node clearance in cases of esophagealcarcinoma.What is of the greatest concern is theclearance of the left gastric artery lymph nodes,andalso in cases of gastric cardia carcinoma,clearance,the paraesophageal lymph nodes.With an increasein the tumor size and depth of tumor encroachment,and occurrence of VTE and tumor residual cells,therisk of lymph node metastasis is significantly raised (P<0.05).Wei Liu Xishan Hao Yong Chen Haixin Li Shijie Wang Peizhong Wang Hng Jin Liyun Guan Qian Fan Linan Song Yumin Ping Xianli Meng Rui Wang Junfeng Liu Xiaoling Wang 2008Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology2008,5,6:1
10Delivery of an Rhs-family nuclease effector reveals direct penetration of the gram-positive cell envelope by a type VI secretion system in Acidovorax citrulli显示文摘The type VI secretion system(T6SS)is a double-tubular nanomachine widely found in gram-negative bacteria.Its spear-like Hcp tube is capable of penetrating a neighboring cell for cytosol-to-cytosol protein delivery.However,gram-positive bacteria have been considered impenetrable to such T6SS action.Here we report that the T6SS of a plant pathogen,Acidovorax citrulli(AC),could deliver an Rhsfamily nuclease effector RhsB to kill not only gram-negative but also gram-positive bacteria.Using bioinformatic,biochemical,and genetic assays,we systematically identified T6SS-secreted effectors and determined that RhsB is a crucial antibacterial effector.RhsB contains an N-terminal PAAR domain,a middle Rhs domain,and an unknown C-terminal domain.RhsB is subject to self-cleavage at both its N-and C-terminal domains and its secretion requires the upstream-encoded chaperone EagT2 and VgrG3.The toxic Cterminus of RhsB exhibits DNase activities and such toxicity is neutralized by either of the two downstream immunity proteins,RimB1 and RimB2.Deletion of rhsB significantly impairs the ability of killing Bacillus subtilis while ectopic expression of immunity proteins RimB1 or RimB2 confers protection.We demonstrate that the AC T6SS not only can effectively outcompete Escherichia coli and B.subtilis in planta but also is highly potent in killing other bacterial and fungal species.Collectively,these findings highlight the greatly expanded capabilities of T6SS in modulating microbiome compositions in complex environments.Tong-Tong Pei Yumin Kan Zeng-Hang Wang Ming-Xuan Tang Hao Li Shuangquan Yan Yang Cui Hao-Yu Zheng Han Luo Xiaoye Liang Tao Dong 2022mLife2022,1,1:1

14Generation of Calhm1 knockout mouse and characterization of calhm1 gene expression显示文摘Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is the most common neurode-generative disease among elderly people worldwide.Several genes have been validated to be associated with AD,and calcium homeostasis modulator 1(Calhm1)is the latest suspected one.To investigate the biological and pathological function of Calhm1 systematically,we generated a Calhm1 conventional knockout mouse.However,both the male and female of elderly Calhm1 knockout(KO)mice showed similar ability to their wild type littermates in spatial learning and memory retrieving.Surprisingly,we found that Calhm1 mRNA could not be detected in mouse brains at different ages,although it is expressed in the human brain tissues.We further found that CpG islands(CGIs)of both mouse and human Calhm1 were hypermethylated,whereas CGI of mouse Calhm2 was hypomethylated.In addition,transcriptional active marker H3K4Di occupied on promoters of human Calhm1 and mouse Calhm2 at a considerable level in brain tissues,while the occupancy of H3K4Di on pro-moter of mouse Calhm1 was rare.In sum,we found that mouse Calhm1 was of rare abundance in brain tissues.So it might not be suitable to utilize the knockout murine model to explore biological function of Calhm1 in the pathogenesis of AD.Junbing Wu Shengyi Peng Rong Wu Yumin Hao Guangju Ji Zengqiang Yuan 2012Protein & Cell2012,3,6:1

17Self-fueling ferroptosis-inducing microreactors based on p H-responsive Lipiodol Pickering emulsions enable transarterial ferro-embolization therapy显示文摘Lipiodol chemotherapeutic emulsions remain one of the main choices for the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) via transarterial chemoembolization(TACE). However, the limited stability of Lipiodol chemotherapeutic emulsions would lead to rapid drug diffusion, which would reduce the therapeutic benefit and cause systemic toxicity of administrated chemotherapeutics. Therefore, the development of enhanced Lipiodol-based formulations is of great significance to enable effective and safe TACE treatment. Herein, a stable water-in-oil Lipiodol Pickering emulsion(LPE) stabilized by pH-dissociable calcium carbonate nanoparticles and hemin is prepared and utilized for efficient encapsulation of lipoxygenase(LOX). The obtained LOX-loaded CaCO_(3)&hemin-stabilized LPE(LHCa-LPE) showing greatly improved emulsion stability could work as a pH-responsive and self-fueling microreactor to convert polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFAs), a main component of Lipiodol, to cytotoxic lipid radicals through the cascading catalytic reaction driven by LOX and hemin, thus inducing ferroptosis of cancer cells. As a result, such LHCa-LPE upon transcatheter embolization can effectively suppress the progression of orthotopic N1S1 HCC in rats. 18Analysis of Clinicopathologic Features of Esophageal Carcinoma Patients Undergoing Surgery-a Report of 4,329 Cases显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinicopathological features of esophageal carcinoma(EC)patients,and to analyze epidemiologic characteristics and the current situation of esophageal cancioma in the southern area of Hebei Province. METHODS A total of 4329 patients with esophageal cancinoma, undergoing surgery in the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University during a period from January 1996 to December 2005, were selected.Collection and statistical analysis of the pathologic data were performed using a SAS 6.0 so ware package. RESULTS Over the past ten years,there has been a tendency for an increase in the mean age of EC onset(P<0.05),a downtrend in the percentage of squamous cancer(SqCa)(P<0.05)and an uptrend in the frequency of small cell carcinoma(P<0.05).In clinical stages,there was a drop in the percentage of Stage-II squamous EC patients(P<0.05),and an increase in that of Stage- IV patients(P<0.05).There were statistical differences in sex,age, pathologic types,depth of infiltration,ratio of stages and lymph node metastasis,etc.among the superior,middle and inferior segments of the EC diseased region(P<0.05). 19Surgical treatment effects in cancer of the cardia and esophagogastric junction显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the treatment effects of total gastrectomy (TG) and proximal gastrectomy (PG) for cancer of the cardia and esophagogastric junction. Methods: forty-five patients with cancer of the cardia and esophagogastric junc- tion underwent surgical resection. Of them, 29 were treated using proximal gastrectomy and 16 total gastrectomy. The 3-year and 5-year survival rate and the postoperative complication rate and mortality rate were followed up and compared between the two groups. Results: The 3-year and 5-year survival rates of group PG were 44.8% and 20.7%, of group TG were 37.5% and 18.8%, respectively, and the differences were not statistically significant (χ2 = 3.84, P > 0.05; χ2 = 3.89, P > 0.05). The postoperative complication and mortality rate of group PG were 13.7% and 6.8%, of group TG was all 6%, respectively.
