2Potential functions of esophageal cancer-related gene-4 in the cardiovascular system显示文摘Esophageal cancer-related gene-4(Ecrg4)is cloned from the normal epithelium of the esophagus.It is constitutively expressed in quiescent epithelial cells and downregulated during tumorigenesis,and Ecrg4 expression levels are inversely correlated with the malignant phenotype of tumor cells,validating that Ecrg4 is a real tumor suppressor gene.Unlike other tumor suppressor genes that usually encode membrane or intracellular proteins,Ecrg4 encodes a 148-amino acid pre-pro-peptide that is tethered on the cell surface in epithelial cells,specialized epithelial cells,and human leukocytes,where it can be processed tissue dependently into several small peptides upon cell activation.Ecrg4 is expressed in a wide variety of other cells/tissues,including cardiomyocytes and conduction system of the heart,,the glomus cells of the carotid body,adrenal glands,choroid plexus,and leukocytes among others,where it exerts distinct functions,such as promoting/suppressing inflammation,inducing neuron senescence,stimulating the hypothalamus--pituitary--adrenal axis,maintaining the stemness of stem cells,participating in the rhythm and rate control of the heart,and possibly gauging the responsiveness of the cardiovascular system(CVS)to hypoxia,in addition to tumor suppression.Here,we briefly review the latest discoveries on Ecrg4 and its underlying molecular mechanisms as a tumor suppressor and focus on the emerging roles of Ecrg4 in the CVS.Rui Zhou Yuanshu Liu Wenjun Huang Xitong Dan 2019Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,6:2
3Comparative proteomic analysis of the effects of high-concentrate diet on the hepatic metabolism and inflammatory response in lactating dairy goats显示文摘Background: To understand the impact of feeding a high-concentrate diet to mid-lactating goats for a long time on liver metabolism and inflammatory response, two dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(2-DE) and real-time PCR method were employed to detect proteins differentially expressed in liver and their m RNAs expression in goats fed high concentrate diet(HC) or low concentrate diet(LC). Twelve lactating dairy goats were randomly assigned to either a HC diet group(65 % concentrate of dry matter; n = 6) or a LC diet group(35 % concentrate of dry matter; n = 6) for 10 wk.Results: Twenty differentially expressed spots(≥2.0-fold changes) in the hepatic tissues were excised and successfully identified using MALDI TOF/TOF. Of these, 8 proteins were up-regulated, while the rest 12 proteins were down-regulated in HC goats compared to LC. Differential expressed proteins including alpha enolase 1(ENO1), glutamate dehydrogenase 1(GLUD1), glutathione S-transferase A1(GSTA1), ATP synthase subunit 5β(ATP5β), superoxide dismutase [Cu-Zn](SOD1), cytochrom c oxidase subunit Via(COX6A1) and heat shock protein 60(HSP60) were further verified by real-time PCR and/or western blot at m RNA or protein expression level. Consistent with the 2-DE results, a significant decrease of β-actin protein expression and SOD enzyme activity was observed in liver of HC goats(P < 0.05), while ENO1 protein expression was significantly up-regulated in HC compared to LC goats(P < 0.05). However, western blot analysis did not show a significant difference of hepatic HSP60 protein between HC and LC group, which did not match the decrease of HSP60 content detected by 2-DE analysis. Real-time PCR showed that glutathione S-transferase P1(GSTP1) and SOD1 m RNA expression was significantly decreased in liver of HC goats, while cytochrom c oxidase(COX3) and ATPase 8(ATP8) m RNAs expression were markedly increased compared to LC(P < 0.05). Gene Ontology(GO) analysis revealed that HC diet resulted in altered expression of proteins related to catalytic and mitochondrial metabolism in the liver, and may increase the stress response with up-regulating the expression of differentiation 14(CD14) cluster and serum amyloid A(SAA) as well as C-reactive protein(CRP) in the liver.Conclusions: These results suggest that feeding high concentrate diet to lactating goats for 10 wk leads to the activation of the inflammatory response, and decreases the anti-oxidant capacity, and subsequently impairs the mitochondrial function in the liver.Yongqian Duanmu Rihua Cong Shiyu Tao Jing Tian Haibo Dong Yuanshu Zhang Yingdong Ni Ruqian Zhao 2016Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2016,7,2:2

10Analysis of Sources of Atmospheric Fine Particulates in Nan'ao County显示文摘Based on on-line single particle aerosol mass spectrometry(SPAMS) with high time resolution,the sources of atmospheric fine particulate matter in Nan'ao County were analyzed.The results showed that during the monitoring period from March 24 to 27 in 2015,the primary source of fine particulate matter in Nao'ao County was motor vehicle exhaust,that is,24.7% of fine particulates were from motor vehicle exhaust,followed by biomass burning(17.2%),fire coal(17.2%),and sea salt(13.3%).The proportions of fire coal and sea salt revealed the peculiarity of sources of atmospheric fine particulate matter in Nan'ao County.Therefore,it is suggested that some measures should be adopted to limit tourist traffic to reduce the adverse impact of motor vehicle exhaust on ambient air quality in Nan'ao County.Xiao Lianghong Zhang Yufeng Chen Shuchi Xie Yuanshu Guo Yan 2015Meteorological and Environmental Research2015,6,11:1

17Application of MODTRAN Model in Atmospheric Correction of HJ/CCD Data显示文摘MODTRAN model was used for the atmospheric correction of one HJ-1B / CCD2 image,and the effect of atmospheric correction was evaluated from the changes of spectral characteristics of typical ground objects,the comparison with the MODIS surface reflectance product,and the effect on normalized differential vegetation index( NDVI). The results show that atmospheric correction eliminated the increase effect in visible bands and the absorption in near-infrared band. Atmospheric correction results and the MODIS surface reflectance product with high accuracy were highly consistent in the reflectance of vegetation,water and residents,and the average error of vegetation was 12.8%. According to the comparison of changing characteristics of NDVI before and after atmospheric correction,it could be found that atmospheric correction had corrected NDVI of mixed pixels and made it more reasonable. NDVI of each kind of ground objects improved,among which NDVI of vegetation increased most greatly,which can help differentiate vegetation from other ground objects. 18Effect of cefodizime on cytokines expression in mouse neutrophils and its related mechanism显示文摘Objective: To explore the regulating effects of cefodizime on cytokines expression of neutrophil response to Klebsiella pneumoniae (Kle. p) treatment. Methods: We detected the types and expression of cytokines secreted by neutrophils by cDNA array and RT-PCR. We also analyzed the changes of signal transduction in this process by detecting the expression of toll like receptor 4 (TLR4) and the inhibitor factor of κBα (I-κBα) expressed by neutrophils. The activity of NF-κB DNA-binding in neutrophils was measured by electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA). Results: Cefodizime increased the neutrophils production of TNF-α, IL-1β and the mRNA expression of TLR4 in the early stage of Kle. p stimulation in mice, which seemed corresponding to the enhanced NF-κB DNA-binding activity.
