| 1 | Construction of a genetic map and location of quantitative trait loci for dwarf trait in maize by RFLP markers显示文摘Using F2 population derived from the cross of tall inbred 7922 by dwarf inbred 5003, an RFLP linkage map of maize has been constructed, on which 85 markers are distributed among 10 linkage groups and span maize genome about 1827.8 cM with an average distance (24.4 cM) between markers. 106 F2:3 lines of the population were grown in a 10×11 simple rectangular lattice design of one-raw plots with two replications and evaluated for plant height (PH). With interval mapping procedure, 5 QTLs controlling plant height have been identified and their genetic effects and gene action determined. 2 major OTLs with opposite effect have been discovered. One for increasing plant height is ph 1 which is located at chromosome 2 and accounts for 51.8% of the total phenotypic variation; the other for decreasing plant height is ph3 which is located at chromosome 5 and accounts for 38.6% of the total phenotypic variation. | 2 | Influence of voxel size on forest canopy height estimates using full-waveform airborne LiDAR data显示文摘Background: Forest canopy height is a key forest structure parameter. Precisely estimating forest canopy height is vital to improve forest management and ecological modelling. Compared with discrete-return LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging), small-footprint full-waveform airborne LiDAR(FWL) techniques have the capability to acquire precise forest structural information. This research mainly focused on the influence of voxel size on forest canopy height estimates.Methods: A range of voxel sizes(from 10.0 m to 40.0 m interval of 2 m) were tested to obtain estimation accuracies of forest canopy height with different voxel sizes. In this study, all the waveforms within a voxel size were aggregated into a voxel-based LiDAR waveform, and a range of waveform metrics were calculated using the voxelbased LiDAR waveforms. Then, we established estimation model of forest canopy height using the voxel-based waveform metrics through Random Forest(RF) regression method.Results and conclusions: The results showed the voxel-based method could reliably estimate forest canopy height using FWL data. In addition, the voxel sizes had an important influence on the estimation accuracies(R2 ranged from 0.625 to 0.832) of forest canopy height. However, the R2 values did not monotonically increase or decrease with the increase of voxel size in this study. The best estimation accuracy produced when the voxel size was 18 m(R2= 0.832, RMSE = 2.57 m, RMSE% = 20.6%). Compared with the lowest estimation accuracy, the R2 value had a significant improvement(33.1%) when using the optimal voxel size. Finally, through the optimal voxel size, we produced the forest canopy height distribution map for this study area using RF regression model. | 5 | Engineering miniature gold nanorods with tailorable plasmonic wavelength in NIR region via ternary surfactants mediated growth显示文摘Plasmonic nanoparticles are endowed profound capability for sensing,biomedicine,and cancer therapy.However,the inaccessibly adjustable wavelength in near infrared(NIR)region window and size limit for the particles penetration in tumor strongly hinder their developments.Miniature gold nanorods(mini-Au NRs)with diameter less than 12 nm can effectively address this challenge due to the tiny size and tailorable NIR absorption.Herein,we adopt ternary surfactants(hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB),sodium oleate(NaOL),and sodium salicylate(NaSal))mediated growth strategy to precisely synthesize miniature Au NRs under micelle space-confinement.Importantly,the selectively dense accumulation of ternary surfactants can efficiently improve the micellar stacking parameters(p)and lower micellar free energy(F),further tends to achieve the formation of Au NRs with tiny diameter and high purity.Compared with that of conventional methods,the purity of mini-Au NRs up to 100%can be dramatically improved via varying the relative concentration of ternary surfactants.The diameter of Au NRs can be dynamically controlled to 6,8,and 11 nm through regulating the concentration of silver nitrate and the mole ratio of ternary surfactants.Such ternary surfactants system is favorable for the aging of tiny Au NRs,and further enables the aspect ratio-tunable in the region from 2.70 to 7.32,as well as tailorable plasmonic wavelength in wide NIR window from 700 to 1,147 nm.Therefore,our findings shed a light on the precise preparation of small sized plasmonic nanoparticles and pave the way to applications in biomedicine,imaging,and cancer therapy. | Xiaoning Luo Xiaoyuan Wang Lingli Zhang Liping Song Zhiwei Sun Yu Zhao Fengmei Su Youju Huang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 1 |

| 12 | Rigid POSS Nanofiller Regulated the Interfacial Self-assembly of Particles into 2D Monolayer Superlattice with Fixed Interparticle Spacing显示文摘Plasmonic superlattices of nanoparticles(NPs)possess unique“surface lattice resonances”properties that facilitates their wide applications in plasmonic sensing,photocatalysis,and nanoscale light manipulation.However,it is still challenging to manufacture superlattices with precisely controllable NPs distance and break the size limitation of NPs.Herein,we provided an effective strategy to construct NPs superlattices via shape-persistent polyhedral oligosilsesquioxane(POSS)molecular nanoparticles govern interfacial assembly.As a nanoscale molecule with diameter of 1.5 nm,the POSS-SH molecule provides sufficient rigid steric hindrance and hydrophobic effect for tailoring the uniformity and controllable distance between NPs in superlattices.Interestingly,synergistically with hydrophilic ligands of polyethylene glycol(PEG-SH)with optimized ratio,the rigid POSS ligands can effectively regulate the distance between NPs in a fixed range of 2.3—2.8 nm,which is independent of ligands molecular weight and particle size.Furthermore,the effective approach can be universal to anisotropic NPs for manufacturing monolayer films with high NPs density.We believe this nanoscale molecule tailored interfacial self-assembly strategy can effectively break the size of NPs and assembly obstacles for superlattice monolayer film.Additionally,the definite distance between NPs in superlattices can minimize optical energy attenuation and facilitates the applications such as surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and photocatalysis. | Yu Zhao Xiaoyuan Wang Xiaoning Luo Liping Song Fengmei Su Youju Huang | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,3: | 0 |

| 15 | Accelerating solar driven CO_(2) reduction via sulfur-doping boosted water dissociation and proton transfer显示文摘Exploring efficient photocatalysts for solar driven CO_(2) reduction with water(H_(2)O)as a proton donor is highly imperative but remains a great challenge because the synchronous enhancement of CO_(2) activation,H_(2)O dissociation and proton transfer is hardly achieved on a photocatalyst.Particularly,the sluggish H_(2)O dissociation impedes the photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction involving multiple proton–electron coupling transfer processes.Herein,a sulfur-doped BiOCl(S-BiOCl)photocatalyst with abundant oxygen vacancies(OV)is developed,which exhibits broadband-light harvesting across solar spectrum and distinct photothermal effect due to photochromism.For photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction with H_(2)O in a gas–solid system,the high CO yield of 49.76μmol·g_(cat)^(-1)·h^(-1) with 100%selectivity is achieved over the S-BiOCl catalyst under a simulated sunlight.The H_(2)O-assisted CO_(2) reduction reaction on S-BiOCl catalyst is triggered by photocatalysis and the photothermal heating further enhances the reaction rate.The kinetic isotope experiments indicate that the sluggish H_(2)O dissociation affects the whole photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction process.The presence of oxygen vacancies promotes the adsorption and activation of H_(2)O and CO_(2),and the doped S sites play a crucial role in boosting H_(2)O dissociation and accelerating the dynamic migration of hydrogen species.As a result,the ingenious integration of OV defects,S sites and photothermal effect in S-BiOCl catalyst conjointly contributes to the significant improvement in photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction performance. | Ke Yan Liang Chen Yangguang Hu Ting Wang Cong Chen Chao Gao Youju Huang Benxia Li | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,3: | 0 |

| 18 | Selectivity mechanism of Anoplophora glabripennis on four different species of maples显示文摘Anoplophora glabripennis(Motsch.)is a wood-boring beetle that is native to China.For a long time,it caused great losses in the economy and ecology of northwest China.Attractants are often used to control insects.The volatiles emitted from the host plant play an important role for insects in finding their target.To explore the mechanism of selec-tivity to different host plants,the response of Anoplophora glabripennis to four different host plants was investigated,which included Acer negundo L.,Acer mono Maxim.,Acer truncatum Bunge.and Acer platanoides L.,and the com-pounds in the profiles of volatiles were identified from these species.The olfactory responses of Anoplophora glabripennis to the odors of different plants showed preference for certain host plants:Acer negundo,Acer mono and Acer truncatum.The attraction of Acer negundo and Acer mono was signifi-cantly different(p<0.05).The attraction of Acer negundo to the insects was stronger than to Acer mono.Acer platanoides neither attracted nor repelled the insects.Compounds in the profiles of volatiles from the above four species were identified and quantified by gas chromatography-mass spec-trometry(GC-MS)equipped with a CP-4020 termodesorp-tion and cold trap(TCT)device.The constituents of volatiles and the relative concentrations were different in the four host species.The amount of ketones,alcohols and aldehydes in the four plants showed the same order:Acer negundoAcer mono Maxim.>Acer truncatum Bunge.>Acer platanoides L..1-penten-3-ol,ocimene and trans-Germanylacetone were repellent to Anoplophora glabripennis.1-penten-3-ol and trans-gerranylacetone were identified in Acer platanoides,and Ocimene was the most attractive to Anoplophora glabripennis among these species.The extent of feeding damage caused by Anoplophora glabripennis differed among four species.The sequences was Acer negundo>Acer mono>Acer truncatum>Acer platanoides.The epidermal hairs of the four host plants revealed that the extent of damage was related to the physical characteristics of the host plants. | Fengjuan ZHANG Youju JIN Huajun CHEN Xiaoying WU | 2008 | Frontiers in Biology2008,3,1: | 0 |
| 19 | Studies on the Dynamics of Endogenous GAs, ABA and IAA in the Shoot Apex of Chinese Pine in Relation to Male Cone Bud Initiation显示文摘The endogenous GAs, ABA and IAA in the shoot apices of 8-year-old Chinese pines, flowered, non-flowered and non-flowered but treated with GA4/7 were analyzed by GC-MS-SIM.The results demonstrated that GA3 and GA9 levels were obviously higher in flowered plants than in non-flowered. A peak value of GA3 in flowered plants occurred after appearance of the earliest auxiliary bud primorda which had the possibility of transforming into male cone bud primordia and before the morphological initiation of male cone bud primordia. Exogenously applied GA4/7 could enhance the endogenous GA3 and GA9, this may benefit the promotion of male cone buds in Chinese pine.
