| 1 | Glacial advances and ESR chronology of the Pochengzi Glaciation,Tianshan Mountains,China显示文摘The Pochengzi Glaciation is a typical glaciation in Quaternary in the Tianshan Mountains. The glacial landforms comprise several integrated end moraines, like a fan spreading from the north to the south at the mouth of the Muzhaerte River valley and on the piedmont on the southeastern slope of the Tumur Peak, the largest center of modern glaciation in the Tianshan Mountains. The landforms recorded a complex history of the ancient glacier change and contained considerable information of the glacial landscape evolution, and dating these landforms helps us understand the temporal and spatial shifts of the past cryosphere in this valley and reconstruct the paleoenvironment in this region. Electron spin resonance (ESR) dating of the glacial tills in the upper stratum from a well-exposed section, end moraines, and associated outwashes was carried out using Ge centers in quartz grains, which are sensitive to the sunlight and grinding. The results could be divided into three clusters, 13.6–25.3, 39.5–40.4 and 64.2–71.7 ka. Based on the principle of geomorphology and stratigraphy and the available paleoen- vironmental data from northwestern China, the end moraines were determined to deposit in the Last Glaciation. The landforms and the three clusters of ages demonstrate that at least three large glacial advances occurred during the Pochengzi Glaciation, which are corresponding to marine oxygen isotope stage 4 (MIS4), MIS3b and MIS2. The landforms also indicate that the gla- ciers were compound valley glacier in MIS2 and MIS3b and piedmont glacier in MIS4, and the ancient Muzhaerte glacier were 94, 95 and 99 km at their maximum extensions in these three glacial advances. | ZHAO JingDong LIU ShiYin WANG Jie SONG YouGui DU JianKuo | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,3: | 9 |

| 3 | Herbicidal Activities of Eupatorium adenophorum Extracts by 3 Extraction Methods显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to screen the better extraction method for herbicidal active substances of Eupatorium adenophorum. [Method] Three common extraction methods, Soxhlet extraction, ultrasonic extraction and conventional extraction method, were used to prepare E. adenophorum extracts, and the herbicidal activity of E. adenophorum extracts extracted by 3 methods was studied by seed germination method. [Result] The extraction rate of Soxhlet extraction was the highest of (22.54±0.48)%, and the herbicidal activities of E. adenophorum extracted by Soxhlet extraction was relatively stronger. | 5 | Successive magnetic ordering in two Co^(Ⅱ)-ladder metal-organic frameworks显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks showing successive magnetic ordering are far less common than inorganic compounds.Here,we report two metal-organic frameworks[Co^Ⅱ(ox)(bphy)·0.1(DMF)·0.1(Me OH)]n(1)and[Co3^Ⅱ(ox)3(bphy)2(DMF)2]n(2)comprised of zigzag and necklace Co^Ⅱ-ladders,respectively.Together with a previously reported compound[Co^Ⅱ(ox)(bphy)·0.2(DMF)]n(3)consisting of spiraling zigzag Co^Ⅱ-ladders,these three compounds provide a good system for comparative structural and magnetic studies.Comprehensive magnetic analysis reveals that the three compounds undergo long-range magnetic ordering at^2.6 K but exhibit vastly different short-range magnetic correlations:compound 1 shows short-range spin-canted antiferromagnetism ordering at^14.0 K;compound 2 demonstrates successive short-range antiferromagnetism ordering at^15.5and^12.6 K;compound 3 shows slow magnetic relaxation with Tb≈4.6 K.These results demonstrate long-range magnetic ordering is readily accessible in the frameworks of ox^2-bridging Co^Ⅱ-ladders linked by bphy,where short-range magnetic correlations can be systematicly tuned by the Co^Ⅱ-ladder structures. | Zhu Zhuo Guoling Li Chenglin Shu Wei Wang Caiping Liu Mingyan Wu Yougui Huang Maochun Hong | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,1: | 0 |
| 6 | A cobalt redox switch driving alcohol dehydrogenation by redox coupled molecular swing显示文摘Developing redox switches that not only perform specific mechanical movements but also drive important chemical reactions is important but a great challenge.Herein,we report a redox pair of cobalt species(Co^(Ⅲ)/Co^(Ⅱ))that switches through photo-dehydrogenation of alcohol and hydrogenation of azo-ligand.The cobalt species is equipped with a flexible azo-ligand containing two bulky planar substituents.A planar oxidated sate(Co^(Ⅲ)species)can be photo-reduced to a saddle-like reduced state(Co^(Ⅱ))with alcohol molecules as electron donors,and in turn the Co^(Ⅲ)species can be recovered with azo-ligand as oxidant under acidic surrounding.Both the redox states of the pair are isolated and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction.In the switching cycle,alcohol is oxidized to aldehyde by azo-ligand through proton coupled electron transfer and the cobalt complex acts as a redox catalyst.These results provide important insights into alcohol dehydrogenation catalyzed by redox complexes. | Guoling Li Yang Liu Wei Wang Zhu Zhuo Yougui Huang | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6: | 0 |
| 7 | Preliminary Study on Rooting Promotion Activity of 33 Species of Plant Extracts显示文摘[ Objective] The paper was to study the rooting promotion activity of plant extracts, so as to lay the foundation for development of natural source of rooting reagent with high efficiency, safety and environment friendship. [Method] Using mung bean rooting method, the rooting promotion effects of 33 plant extracts on mung bean section were studied. [Result] When the concentration was 1 mg/mL, Eupatorium adenopkorum (stem and leaf) , Cryptomeria fortunei (stem and leaf) , Pinus yunnanensis (stem) , Pinus yunnanensis (leaf) , Rhododendron simsii (leaf) , Pinus armandii (leaf) , Ltichi chinensis (pericarp) , Pinus armandiifruit (fruit) and Alnus cremastogyne (leaf) showed strong promotion effect on rooting of mung bean sections, and the rooting promotion rate reached over 100% ; the rooting promotion effect of E. adenophorum ( stem and leaf) was the strongest, reaching (1068.42±7.87)% , which was extremely higher than the extracts of other plants.
