1Wildfire Susceptibility Assessment in Southern China:A Comparison of Multiple Methods显示文摘Wildfire is a primary forest disturbance.A better understanding of wildfire susceptibility and its dominant influencing factors is crucial for regional wildfire risk management.This study performed a wildfire susceptibility assessment using multiple methods,including logistic regression,probit regression,an artificial neural network,and a random forest(RF) algorithm.Yunnan Province,China was used as a case study area.We investigated the sample ratio of ignition and nonignition data to avoid misleading results due to the overwhelming number of nonignition samples in the models.To compare model performance and the importance of variables among the models,the area under the curve of the receiver operating characteristic plot was used as an indicator.The results show that a cost-sensitive RF had the highest accuracy(88.47%) for all samples,and 94.23% accuracy for ignition prediction.The identified main factors that influence Yunnan wildfire occurrence were forest coverage ratio,month,season,surface roughness,10 days minimum of the 6 h maximum humidity,and 10 days maxima of the 6 h average and maximum temperatures.These seven variables made the greatest contributions to regional wildfire susceptibility.Susceptibility maps developed from the models provide information regarding the spatial variation of ignition susceptibility,which can be used in regional wildfire risk management.Yinxue Cao Ming Wang Kai Liu 2017International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2017,8,2:3
2Low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic simulation prevents chronic epileptic seizure显示文摘Although low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic simulation can potentially treat epilepsy,its underlying mechanism remains unclear.This study investigated the influence of low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic simulation on changes in several nonlinear dynamic electroencephalographic parameters in rats with chronic epilepsy and explored the mechanism underlying repetitive transcranial magnetic simulation-induced antiepileptic effects.An epilepsy model was established using lithium-pilocarpine intraperitoneal injection into adult Sprague-Dawley rats,which were then treated with repetitive transcranial magnetic simulation for 7 consecutive days.Nonlinear electroencephalographic parameters were obtained from the rats at 7,14,and 28 days post-stimulation.Results showed significantly lower mean correlation-dimension and Kolmogorov-entropy values for stimulated rats than for non-stimulated rats.At 28 days,the complexity and point-wise correlation dimensional values were lower in stimulated rats.Low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic simulation has suppressive effects on electrical activity in epileptic rats,thus explaining its effectiveness in treating epilepsy.Yinxu Wang Xiaoming Wang Sha Ke Juan Tan Litian Hu Yaodan Zhang Wenjuan Cui 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,27:2

4Prepartum body conditions affect insulin signaling pathways in postpartum adipose tissues in transition dairy cows显示文摘Background: Overconditioned dairy cows are susceptible to excessive lipolysis and increased insulin resistance during the transition period.The associations among body fat reserve,insulin resistance,and lipolysis in adipose tissues(AT) remain to be elucidated.Therefore,this study aimed to investigate whether excessive fat reserves influence the insulin signaling pathway in AT postpartum.Results: Twenty multiparous dairy cows were selected and assigned to one of two groups,according to prepartum body condition score(BCS): Control group(BCS = 3.0–3.5;n = 10) and Overconditioned group(BCS ≥ 4.0;n = 10).Blood samples were collected on days-14,-7,-4,-2,-1,0,1,2,4,7,and 14 relative to parturition.Subcutaneous AT were collected on day 2 following parturition for quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blot analyses.No differences were observed between the two groups in serum glucose,non-esterified fatty acids,β-hydroxybutyric acid,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)α,insulin,or leptin concentrations during the experimental period.Compared with the control cows,the overconditioned cows had lower serum triglyceride levels and higher adiponectin concentrations.In the AT postpartum,insulin receptor mRNA and protein levels were lower in the overconditioned cows than in the control cows,and no differences were found in glucose transporter 4 mRNA.Compared with the control cows,the overconditioned cows had lower mRNA levels of TNFα and higher mRNA levels of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma(PPARγ) in AT postpartum.The phosphorylated protein kinase B(AKT) content and phosphorylation rate of AKT were increased in the overconditioned cows compared with the control cows,which suggested that the downstream insulin signaling in AT was affected.Conclusions: In the present study,transition dairy cows with higher BCS did not show more fat mobilization.The changes of insulin signaling pathway in AT postpartum of overconditioned cows may be partly related to the expression of PPARγ and TNFα,and the secretion of adiponectin.Fanjian Zhang Dan Li Qiong Wu Jian Sun Wenyi Guan Yinxu Hou Yaohong Zhu Jiufeng Wang 2019Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,3:2

8Monitoring of Avian Influenza Virus and Newcastle Disease Virus in Suichuan Region of Jiangxi Province显示文摘[Objective] The research aimed to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of Avian influenza virus( AIV) and Newcastle disease virus( NDV)of wild Ardeid birds in Suichuan region of Jiangxi Province. [Method] A total of 110 nasopharyngeal swabs and 110 cloacal swabs of Ardeid birds were collected from Suichuan region of Jiangxi Province in October of 2014. The swabs were conducted the virus isolation using SPF chicken embryos,suspected positive samples were screened by hemagglutination( HA) test and identified by Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction( RT-PCR). [Results] HA titre of all 110 test samples was 0 except four samples. Detection on AIV and NDV of the test samples by RT-PCR showed that all the samples were negative,which indicated that the infection risk of avian influenza( AI) and newcastle disease( ND) of Ardeid birds in Suichuan region in Jiangxi Province in the summer of 2014 was low. 9End-to-end computational design for an EUV solar corona multispectral imager with stray light suppression显示文摘An extreme ultraviolet solar corona multispectral imager can allow direct observation of high temperature coronal plasma,which is related to solar flares,coronal mass ejections and other significant coronal activities.This manuscript proposes a novel end-to-end computational design method for an extreme ultraviolet(EUV)solar corona multispectral imager operating at wavelengths near 100 nm,including a stray light suppression design and computational image recovery.To suppress the strong stray light from the solar disk,an outer opto-mechanical structure is designed to protect the imaging component of the system.Considering the low reflectivity(less than 70%)and strong-scattering(roughness)of existing extreme ultraviolet optical elements,the imaging component comprises only a primary mirror and a curved grating.A Lyot aperture is used to further suppress any residual stray light.Finally,a deep learning computational imaging method is used to correct the individual multi-wavelength images from the original recorded multi-slit data.In results and data,this can achieve a far-field angular resolution below 7',and spectral resolution below 0.05 nm.The field of view is±3 R☉along the multi-slit moving direction,where R☉represents the radius of the solar disk.The ratio of the corona's stray light intensity to the solar center's irradiation intensity is less than 10-6 at the circle of 1.3 R☉.Jinming Gao Yue Sun Yinxu Bian Jilong Peng Qian Yu Cuifang Kuang Xiangzhao Wang Xu Liu Xiangqun Cui 2024Astronomical Techniques and Instruments2024,1,1:0
