2The Mechanical Properties of Coastal Soil Treated with Cement显示文摘The influences of cement type, cement content, and curing time on the unconfined compression strength(UCS) of soil-cement were investigated. The influence of groundwater on UCS of soil- cement was also studied. The experimental results indicate that the soil treated with high grade cement presents a higher UCS. Additionally, the UCS of soil-cement presents linearly increased with the cement content. A logarithm correlation between UCS and curing time presents to forecast the strength development. 3The Abnormal High Expression of B Cell Activating Factor Belonging to TNF Superfamily (BAFF) and Its Potential Role in Kidney Transplant Recipients显示文摘B cell activating factor belonging to TNF superfamily (BAFF) is a critical regulator of B cell maturation and survival. In this present study, the expression characteristic of BAFF in kidney transplantation recipients was investigated, its potential significance was analyzed and peripheral blood of follow-up kidney transplant recipients was studied. Flow cytometric assay results showed that, cell-surface BAFF was significantly highly expressed on peripheral CD3+ T lymphocytes in ≥ 5 yrs group of kidney transplant recipients, compared with other groups (p < 0.05). BAFF expression could be found on CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells. The BAFF mRNA levels in peripheral mononuclear cells were consistent with the protein levels. However, serum soluble BAFF levels were inter-individually different in each group. Stratified by renal function, it was found that cell-surface BAFF levels were significantly higher in those with abnormal renal function, compared with recipients with normal renal function (p < 0.05). ELISA assay results showed that expression levels of cell surface BAFF were significantly correlated with anti-HLA Ⅰ & Ⅱ antibodies. 4Structural modification and antitumor activity of antimicrobial peptide HYL显示文摘HYL derived from the venom of the solitary bee Hylaeus signatus(Hymenoptera:Colletidae)is anα-helical antimicrobial peptide with 16 residues.To explore whether HYL can be applied in anti-tumor therapy,we synthesized HYL and further modified its structure by using a solid-phase synthesis method,and then evaluated their antitumor activities.Firstly,we identified the key residues of HYL by alanine scanning strategy,and then a series of stapled peptides were synthesized by hydrocarbon stapling strategy without destroying the key residues.All the stapled peptides of HYL showed significant improvement not only inα-helicity,but also in antitumor activity and protease resistance when compared to the parent peptide HYL.The results showed that hydrophobicity and amphiphilicity are important factors affecting the antitumor activity of HYL,and the stapling strategy can significantly affect the proteolytic stability and helicity of HYL.What’s more,we find that the stapled peptides HYL-14,HYL-16 and HYL-18 show a promising prospect for novel anti-tumor drug development.Minghao Wu Qing Chen Yingdi Wang Yulei Li Xia Zhao Qi Chang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,5:2
5Adsorption behaviors of avian immunoglobulins and purification of immunoglobulin Y from chicken serum with mixed-mode resins显示文摘The importance of immunoglobulin Y(IgY) as a specific antibody equivalent to mammalian immunoglobulin G(IgG) is well recognized. However, production of highly purified IgY is still difficult due to the lack of specific purification methods. In this study, adsorption behaviors of Ig Y on four mixed-mode resins with functional ligands of 4-mercatoethyl-pyridine(MEP), 2-mercapto-1-methyli-midazole(MMI), 5-aminobenzi-midazole(ABI) and tryptophan-5-aminobenzi-midazole(W-ABI) were evaluated. The results showed that high adsorption ratio were found at p H 6.0–7.0 with little adsorption under acidic conditions. The resin with ABI ligand was then used to separate IgY from immunized chicken serum. An efficient process with Ig Y purity of 95% and recovery of 90% was developed after optimization of loading and elution p H and injection volume. The biological activity of the purified Ig Y was fully maintained. 6Construction of WO_(3)/Ti-doped WO_(3)bi-layer nanopore arrays with superior electrochromic and capacitive performances显示文摘Crystalline WO_(3)/Ti-doped WO_(3)bi-layer nanopore arrays were constructed by the template synthesis of a WO_(3)nanopore layer modified by a magnetron sputtering of an amorphous Ti-doped/WO_(3)layer.The obtained bi-layer nanopore array shows a remarkable electrochromic performance with large dual-band optical modulation in both visible(VIS)and near infrared(NIR)regions(optical modulation of over 70%in the wavelength range from 600 to 1600 nm)and the fast response speed(coloring for 3.4 s and bleaching for 6.6 s).In addition,the bi-layer WO_(3)/Ti-doped WO_(3)nanopore array also present superior energy-storage properties(areal capacitance of 44.0 mF cm−2 and good rate capability),better than that of titanium-free thin films.The special bifunctional characteristics of electrochromism and pseudocapacitance can be ascribed to the large specific surface area provided by the architectural design,rich ion channels in the amorphous layer as well as proper titanium doping,which bestows the bi-layer nanopore array a great potential in clean energy applications.Yingdi Shi Shujing Liu Yong Zhang Mingjun Sun Kai Tang Jiewu Cui Xia Shu Yan Wang Jiaqin Liu Yucheng Wu 2019Tungsten2019,1,3:2
7Calcineurin B-like protein 5(SiCBL5)in Setaria italica enhances salt tolerance by regulating Na^(+)homeostasis显示文摘Salinity,a major abiotic stress,reduces plant growth and severely limits agricultural productivity.Plants regulate salt uptake via calcineurin B-like proteins(CBLs).Although extensive studies of the functions of CBLs in response to salt stress have been conducted in Arabidopsis,their functions in Setaria italica are still poorly understood.The foxtail millet genome encodes seven CBLs,of which only SiCBL4 was shown to be involved in salt response.Overexpression of SiCBL5 in Arabidopsis thaliana sos3-1 mutant rescued its salt hypersensitivity phenotype,but that of other SiCBLs(SiCBL1,SiCBL2,SiCBL3,SiCBL6,and SiCBL7)did not rescue the salt hypersensitivity of the Atsos3-1 mutant.SiCBL5 harbors an N-myristoylation motif and is located in the plasma membrane.Overexpression of SiCBL5 in foxtail millet increased its salt tolerance,but its knockdown increased salt hypersensitivity.Yeast two-hybrid and firefly luciferase complementation imaging assays showed that SiCBL5 physically interacted with SiCIPK24 in vitro and in vivo.Cooverexpression of SiCBL5,SiCIPK24,and SiSOS1 in yeast conferred a high-salt-tolerance phenotype.Compared to wild-type plants under salt stress conditions,SiCBL5 overexpressors showed lower accumulations of Na^(+) and stronger Na^(+) efflux,whereas RNAi-SiCBL5 plants showed higher accumulations of Na^(+) and weaker Na^(+) efflux.These results indicate that SiCBL5 confers salt tolerance in foxtail millet by modulating Na^(+) homeostasis.Jingwei Yan Lan Yang Ya Liu Yingdi Zhao Tong Han Xingfen Miao Aying Zhang 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,1:1

12Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution Scheme with Odd Coherent States显示文摘The Quantum key distribution(QKD) has been entering the practical application era. The odd coherent state which follows sub Poisson distributed has been confirmed to extend transmission distance and improve secret key rate in Discrete-variable quantum key distribution(DVQKD) protocol. We propose Entanglement-based(EB)scheme of Continuous-variable quantum key distribution(CVQKD) with odd coherent state. This scheme allows distributing Gaussian modulated CVQKD with laser light which could be odd coherent state. We analyze the logarithmic negativity between entangled odd coherent states and the security. 13Study on screening potential allergenic proteins from infant milk powders based on human mast cell membrane chromatography and histamine release assays显示文摘Cow's milk allergy is mainly observed in infants and young children. Most allergic reactions affect the skin, followed by the gastrointestinal and respiratory systems. Conventional diagnosis is based on positive allergy studies and evaluation of parameters including IgE and IgG1 levels, acute allergic skin response and anaphylactic shock reactions. We developed a cell membrane chromatographic(CMC)method based on human mast cells(HMC-1) for screening potential allergens in infant formula milk powders(IFMP). HMC-1 cell membranes were extracted and mixed with silica to prepare cell membrane chromatography columns(10 mm ? 2 mm i.d., 5 mm). Under the conditions of 0.2 mL/min flow rate and214 nm detection wavelength, human breast milk showed no retention. However, IFMP showed clear retention. The retained fractions were collected and analyzed through matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS). Four major milk proteins, i.e., α-casein, β-casein, α-lactalbumin, and β-lactoglobulin A, were identified. Furthermore, these proteins and β-lactoglobulin B showed clear retention on HMC-1/CMC columns. To test the degranulation effects of the five proteins, histamine and β-hexosaminidase release assays were carried out. All five proteins induced HMC-1 cells to release histamine and β-hexosaminidase. Also, we established a reversed phase liquid chromatographic(RPLC) method for the determination of the five proteins in IFMP and the results showed that 90% proteins in IFMP were α-casein and β-casein. We concluded that cow's milk proteins may be potential allergens and caseins cause more β-casein allergic risk than other proteins. 14Endoscopy demand among county people in southeast China:A cross-sectional study显示文摘Objective The popularization of gastroenteroscopy and the introduction of comfortable medical care have further promoted the growth of people's demand,especially the demand for painless endoscopy.This cross-sectional study aims to investigate the current situation and change in county people's demand for endoscopy to promote the development of endoscopy centers in county hospitals in southeast China.Methods From October to December 2021,patients and their family members who came to the Gastroenterology Department in Suichang County People's Hospital of Zhejiang Province were randomly selected to complete the questionnaire.A total of 838 valid questionnaires were collected.Additionally,the original software data of the Endoscopy Center were sampled and retrieved(from October to December every year from 2018 to 2021)for statistical analysis of real-world data.Those who would choose painless endoscopy the next time in the valid questionnaires were included in the painless endoscopy group,while those who would choose ordinary endoscopy the next time were included in the ordinary endoscopy group.Results The stepwise forward binary logistic regression model analysis showed that,patients with“secondhand smoke exposure”were more willing to choose painless endoscopy(OR=1.459,95%CI:1.050-2.028,p=0.025).However,patients with an education level of“primary and below”and“junior high school”,and patients who are suffering from“currently experiencing abdominal distension”,were more willing to choose ordinary endoscopy(OR=0.270,95%CI:0.149-0.488,p<0.001;OR=0.528,95%CI:0.330-0.845,p=0.008;OR=0.536,95%CI:0.334-0.861,p=0.010).Patients with previous experience in painless endoscopy tended to choose painless endoscopy the next time,while patients with previous experience in ordinary endoscopy tended to choose ordinary endoscopy the next time(χ^(2)=140.97,p<0.001).From 2018 to 2021,the proportion of painless endoscopy has increased yearly(p<0.001).Most patients indicated that they would“regularly review gastroenteroscopy”(477/838,56.9%).Conclusions With Suichang County of Zhejiang Province as the representative,the demand for painless endoscopy for people's gastrointestinal cancer detection in southeast China has been increasing yearly.The development of endoscopy centers in county-level hospitals can basically meet the demand growth.Meanwhile,advanced concepts such as comfortable medical care and regular follow-up are gradually popularized at the grassroots level in southeast China.Huihui Yan Zhenghua Lin Shuangjing Gao Chenyu Fan Mengyue Jiang Liying Que Lanfang Zhou Yingdi Weng Jing Shu Tongyun Zhang Jian Hu Zhiqiang Liu Xi Ye Jianting Cai Guangfa Liao 2023Laparoscopic, Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery2023,6,1:0
15Measurement of aerosol optical extinction using diode laser cavity ringdown spectroscopy显示文摘Accurate measurement of optical extinction of atmospheric aerosols is important for quantifying the direct climate effects of aerosols. A portable cavity ringdown spectrometer utilizing a modulated multimode blue diode laser (linewidth ~0.2 nm) is developed to measure the aerosol optical extinction. Laboratory generated ammonia sulfate particles (<1 μm in diameter) are characterized, with good agreements between the experimental measurements and Mie theory calculations. An optical extinction detection sensitivity of 0.24 Mm-1 (1σ) is achieved. Measurements of ambient aerosols are also carried out. 18Components and sequential changes in event-related potential induced by gaze orientation processing under a reflective attention cue paradigm显示文摘Gaze orientation induces activation of relevant brain regions,presents differences in specificity and time course,and is exhibited in patients with brain injury.However,the components of activated event-related potential remain controversial.Previous studies of behavior and cognitive neuroscience related to gaze orientation investigated conscious attention of visual orientation.The present study explored gaze orientation processing-induced event-related potential components and changes with time using reflective orientation of visual attention under a reflective attention cue paradigm.Visual attention processing of gaze orientation was recorded using event-related potential and electroencephalographic recording.Results demonstrated that the reflective attention cue task evoked early directing attention negativity and anterior directing attention negativity,but did not trigger late directing attention positivity.These results suggest that reflective attention occurs over a short time of visual stimulus presentation.During the early stage of attention processing,early directing attention negativity and anterior directing attention negativity were detected,but late directing attention positivity did not occur.These results confirmed reflectivity and time-course superiority of gaze orientation attention processing.Yingdi Li Xuemin Zhang Yan Song Qing Feng 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,19:0
19Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of CLA-ethyl ester显示文摘Supercritical carbon dioxide(SC-CO_(2))extraction of Conjugated linoleic acid(CLA)ethyl ester was investigated at pressures in the range of 9 to 10.5 MPa and temperature gradients ranging from 0℃ to 21℃.The content of CLA-ethyl ester in the fraction was analyzed with gas chromatography(GC).The experimental results indicated that the rate of extraction would rise with the increase of pressure when temperature gradient was given.Moreover,the extraction pressure had insignificant influence on the selectivity of CLA-ethyl ester in SCCO_(2).When pressure was fixed,setting certain temperature gradient can improve the selectivity of CLA-ethyl ester in SC-CO_(2),and CLA-ethyl ester can be concentrated more effectively than without a temperature gradient.The acid value and peroxide value of the fractions were reduced obviously,compared to the raw material.The optimal condition is pressure at 10 MPa and temperature gradient at 11℃.Yingdi CHEN Peng XU Jian CHENG 2011Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2011,5,1:0
20Neutralization of interleukin-11 attenuates silica particles-induced pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis in vivo显示文摘Environmental exposure to crystalline silica particles can lead to silicosis, which is one of the most serious pulmonary interstitial fibrosis around the world. Unfortunately, the exact mechanism on silicosis is unclear, and the effective treatments are lacking to date. In this study, we aim to explore the molecular mechanism by which interleukin-11(IL-11) affects silica particles-induced lung inflammation and fibrosis. We observed that IL-11 expressions in mouse lungs were significantly increased after silica exposure, and maintained at high levels across both inflammation and fibrosis phase. Immunofluorescent dual staining further revealed that the overexpression of IL-11 mainly located in mouse lung epithelial cells and fibroblasts. Using neutralizing anti-IL-11 antibody could effectively alleviate the overexpression of pro-inflammatory cytokines(i.e., interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α) and fibrotic proteins(i.e., collagen type I and matrix metalloproteinase-2) induced by silica particles. Most importantly, the expressions of IL-11 receptor subunit α(IL-11Rα), Glycoprotein130(GP130), and phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase(p-ERK) were significantly increased in response to silica, whereas blocking of IL-11 markedly reduced their levels. All findings suggested that the overexpression of IL-11 was involved in the pathological of silicosis, while neutralizing IL-11 antibody could effectively alleviate the silica-induced lung inflammation and fibrosis by inhibiting the IL-11Rα/GP130/ERK signaling pathway.
