1Interference-assisted kaleidoscopic meta-plexer for arbitrary spin-wavefront manipulation显示文摘Achieving simultaneous polarization and wavefront control,especially circular polarization with the auxiliary degree of freedom of light and spin angular momentum,is of fundamental importance in many optical applications.Interferences are typically undesirable in highly integrated photonic circuits and metasurfaces.Here,we propose an interference-assisted metasurface-multiplexer(meta-plexer)that counterintuitively exploits constructive and destructive interferences between hybrid meta-atoms and realizes independent spin-selective wavefront manipulation.Such kaleidoscopic meta-plexers are experimentally demonstrated via two types of single-layer spinwavefront multiplexers that are composed of spatially rotated anisotropic meta-atoms.One type generates a spinselective Bessel-beam wavefront for spin-down light and a low scattering cross-section for stealth for spin-up light.The other type demonstrates versatile control of the vortex wavefront,which is also characterized by the orbital angular momentum of light,with frequency-switchable numbers of beams under linearly polarized wave excitation.Our findings offer a distinct interference-assisted concept for realizing advanced multifunctional photonics with arbitrary and independent spin-wavefront features.A variety of applications can be readily anticipated in optical diodes,isolators,and spin-Hall meta-devices without cascading bulky optical elements.He-Xiu Xu Guangwei Hu Ying Li Lei Han Jianlin Zhao Yunming Sun Fang Yuan Guang-Ming Wang Zhi Hao Jiang Xiaohui Ling Tie Jun Cui Cheng-Wei Qiu 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:11

4Crack nucleation and propagation simulation in brittle two-phase perforated/particulate composites by a phase field model显示文摘Fracture is a very common failure mode of the composite materials,which seriously affects the reliability and service-life of composite materials.Therefore,the study of the fracture behavior of the composite materials is of great significance and necessity,which demands an accurate and efficient numerical tool in general cases because of the complexity of the arising boundary-value or initial-boundary value problems.In this paper,a phase field model is adopted and applied for the numerical simulation of the crack nucleation and propagation in brittle linear elastic two-phase perforated/particulate composites under a quasi-static tensile loading.The phase field model can well describe the initiation,propagation and coalescence of the cracks without assuming the existence and the geometry of the initial cracks in advance.Its numerical implementation is realized within the framework of the finite element method(FEM).The accuracy and the efficiency of the present phase field model are verified by the available reference results in literature.In the numerical examples,we first study and discuss the influences of the hole/particle size on the crack propagation trajectory and the force-displacement curve.Then,the effects of the hole/particle shape on the crack initiation and propagation are investigated.Furthermore,numerical examples are presented and discussed to show the influences of the hole/particle location on the crack initiation and propagation characteristics.It will be demonstrated that the present phase field model is an efficient tool for the numerical simulation of the crack initiation and propagation problems in brittle two-phase composite materials,and the corresponding results may play an important role in predicting and preventing possible hazardous crack initiation and propagation in engineering applications.Xingxue Lu Yuliang Hou Ying Tie Cheng Li Chuanzeng Zhang 2020Acta Mechanica Sinica2020,36,2:5
5TanshinoneⅡA improves distribution and anti-tumor efficacy of pegylated liposomal doxorubicin via normalizing the structure and function of tumor vasculature in hepa1-6 hepatoma mice model显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether the Tandistribution and anti-tumor Ⅱef A could improve the ficacy of Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin(PLD) via normalizing the structure and function of vasculature in Hepa1-6 hepatoma mice model.METHODS: Hepa1-6 hepatoma-bearing mice were treated with TanⅡA for 14 d. Distribution and anti-tumor efficacy of PLD, and the structure and function of the tumor vasculature were evaluated using various techniques.RESULTS: TanⅡ A significantly reduced the micro-vessel density(MVD). After Tan vascular walls were betteⅡr s A treatment,the tumor tructured, as the increased coverage of the pericytes and the promoted contact of the basement membrane and endothelial cell. Functional tests showed that tumor hypoxia was improved and the exudation amount of Evans blue in the parenchyma of the tumor decreased. In addition, mice treated with TanA had greater PLD penetration distance intratumoⅡrally. 6Dual-polarization programmable metasurface modulator for near-field information encoding and transmission显示文摘Controlling the polarization state of electromagnetic waves is an important topic in microwaves due to the enormous application potential in radar technology and mobile communications. Here, we propose a programmable metasurface based on single-pole double-throw switches to realize multifunctional polarization conversions.A structure of the double-sided metallic pattern is adopted in the metasurface, in which a novel double-pole double-throw hub is achieved to guide the energy direction. Such a mechanism successfully induces multiple transmission channels into the metasurface structure for functional design. By controlling the states of the switches with a field programmable gate array, the x-and y-polarizations of the incident waves can be efficiently modulated into linear co-and cross-polarizations of transmitted waves, suggesting a higher degree of freedom on wave manipulations. The proposed metasurface can be developed as a near-field information encoder to transmit binary coding sequence according to the energy distribution. Character transmissions are realized by programming binary ASCII codes on the transmitted fields. Nine supercells on the metasurface can encode 9-bit binary information in one frame of near-field imaging, which can be switched in real time with high speed. 7Biosynthesis of Unsaturated Fatty Acids via Mortierella Isabellina Cultivated in a Medium Containing Butanol显示文摘Mortierella isabellina was found to accumulate large amounts of unsaturated fatty acids when it was grown in a medium containing butanol(5 g/L) and yeast extract(10 g/L) and cultivated at 25 ℃ for 5 d during which additional feeding butanol of 2 g/L was fed after being cultivated for 48 h . The resultant mycelial lipids accounted for 40 1% of the dry mycelia, while about 34% of butanol in the medium was converted. The mycelial lipids contained four kinds of unsaturated fatty acids, i.e ., palmitoleic(4 9%), oleic(54 1%), linoleic(10 4%) and linolenic(5 4%) acids. Those accounted for 74 8% of the total fatty acids. 8Revised Super-long Down-regulation Protocol Improves the Outcome of Infertile Patients with Repeated Implantation Failure in IVF/ICSI-ET显示文摘Objective To investigate the outcome of revised super-long down-regulation protocol(RSDP) for in vitro fertilization / intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transfer(IVF/ICSI-ET) in the special infertile patients with repeated implantation failure(RIF).Methods Patients with RIF were divided into RSDP group and routine long downregulation protocol(RLDP) group. In RSDP group, gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist(GnRHa) was injected intramuscularly by 2.5 mg in mid-luteal phase for the first time and 1.25 mg after 28 d; gonadotropin(Gn) was started 14 d later after the second GnRHa dose. IVF/ICSI-ET was performed according to the routine procedure. 9Tensile properties analysis of CFRP-titanium plate multi-bolt hybrid joints显示文摘Hybrid joints have better tensile properties than pure bonded and bolted bolts,and are increasingly used in the aerospace field.Tensile tests are carried out for the Hybrid Bonded/Bolted(HBB)joints of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer(CFRP)laminate and titanium alloy plate under different bolt numbers,and the corresponding load–displacement curves are obtained.At the same time,based on Continuum Damage Mechanics(CDM)theory,which is derived from 3D Hashin failure criteria,and a Cohesive Zone Model(CZM),the tensile strength prediction model of the composite laminate-titanium alloy plate multi-bolted HBB joint was established,and the numerical simulation results were in good agreement with the experimental height,which validate the feasibility of the model.The difference in the bearing capacity of HBB joints under different numbers of bolts is compared and analyzed.On this basis,the influence of inter-bolt distance on the tensile properties of the HBB joints is explored.The results show that the double-nail HBB joints can effectively improve the end warpage and low bearing capacity of the single-nail HBB joints.The tensile failure load of the double-nail HBB joints under the standard lap width(30 mm)is 82.6%higher than that of the single nail,the tensile failure load of the three-bolt HBB joints is 34.1%higher than that of the double nail.For the three-bolt HBB joint,the joint strength is controlled by the adhesive and the external bolt,while the internal bolt is redundant,the hybrid joint can be simplified by reducing the middle bolt.The inter-bolt distance has a great influence on the failure load of the hybrid joint.Increasing the inter-bolt distance can effectively improve the bearing capacity of the structure.Yanping ZHENG Chaoyu ZHANG Ying TIE Xu WANG Mingkun LI 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,3:2

13Crack propagation simulation in brittle elastic materials by a phase field method显示文摘To overcome the difficulties of re-meshing and tracking the crack-tip in other computational methods for crack propagation simulations,the phase field method based on the minimum energy principle is introduced by defining a continuous phase field variable(x)∈[0,1]to characterize discontinuous cracks in brittle materials.This method can well describe the crack initiation and propagation without assuming the shape,size and orientation of the initial crack in advance.In this paper,a phase field method based on Miehe's approach[Miehe et al.,Comp.Meth.App.Mech.Eng.(2010)]is applied to simulate different crack propagation problems in twodimensional(2D),isotropic and linear elastic materials.The numerical implementation of the phase field method is realized within the framework of the finite element method(FEM).The validity,accuracy and efficiency of the present method are verified by comparing the numerical results with other reference results in literature.Several numerical examples are presented to show the effects of the loading type(tension and shear),boundary conditions,and initial crack location and orientation on the crack propagation path and force-displacement curve.Furthermore,for a single edge-cracked bi-material specimen,the influences of the loading type and the crack location on the crack propagation trajectory and force-displacement curve are also investigated and discussed.It is demonstrated that the phase field method is an efficient tool for the numerical simulation of the crack propagation problems in brittle elastic materials,and the corresponding results may have an important relevance for predicting and preventing possible crack propagations in engineering applications.Xingxue Lu Cheng Li Ying Tie Yuliang Hou Chuanzeng Zhang 2019Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2019,9,6:2
