| 1 | 拉萨地体的起源和古生代构造演化显示文摘早期由于资料有限,对拉萨地体古生代时期的裂解、漂移、俯冲和碰撞历史的认知程度还很低。本文利用目前已有地质和地球化学资料,分析了拉萨地体的中生代岩石圈结构,探讨了拉萨地体的起源和古生代演化历史。大量长英质岩石的锆石Hf同位素和全岩Nd同位素表明,南部和北部拉萨地体以新生地壳为主,部分地区可能存在前寒武纪结晶基底,而中部拉萨地体是具有古元古代甚至太古代结晶基底的条带状微陆块。大量古生代沉积岩的碎屑锆石U-Pb年龄数据表明,拉萨地体约1170Ma的碎屑锆石年龄指标,明显不同于以约950Ma为碎屑锆石年龄指标的安多、羌塘和特提斯喜马拉雅。拉萨地体起源于澳大利亚大陆北缘是目前资料情况下的最合理解释。中部拉萨地体约492Ma的双峰式火山岩形成于活动大陆边缘背景,代表了古地理上位于澳大利亚大陆北缘的岩浆弧的一部分,可能与原特提斯洋岩石圈板片的断离有关。拉萨地体南缘和南羌塘的泥盆纪末期—石炭纪早期片麻状花岗岩类为存在明显幔源物质输入的S型花岗岩,可能形成于最终演化为松多特提斯洋的弧后盆地背景。中二叠世末期发生的拉萨地体与澳大利亚大陆北缘的碰撞造山事件可能触发了班公湖—怒江特提斯洋岩石圈的南向俯冲,并随后对拉萨地体的中生代构造岩浆演化发挥关键性作用。 | 朱弟成 赵志丹 牛耀龄 王青 Yildirim DILEK 董国臣 莫宣学 | 2012 | 高校地质学报2012,18,1: | 87 |
| 2 | Review of a challenging clinical issue:Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy显示文摘Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP) is a reversible pregnancy-specific cholestatic condition characterized by pruritus, elevated liver enzymes, and increased serum bile acids. It commences usually in the late second or third trimester, and quickly resolves after delivery. The incidence is higher in South American and Scandinavian countries(9.2%-15.6% and 1.5%, respectively) than in Europe(0.1%-0.2%). The etiology is multifactorial where genetic, endocrine, and environmental factors interact. Maternal outcome is usually benign, whereas fetal complications such as preterm labor, meconium staining, fetal distress, and sudden intrauterine fetal demise not infrequently lead to considerable perinatal morbidity and mortality. Ursodeoxycholic acid is shown to be the most efficient therapeutic agent with proven safety and efficacy. Management of ICP consists of careful monitoring of maternal hepatic function tests and serum bile acid levels in addition to the assessment of fetal well-being and timely delivery after completion of fetal pulmonary maturity. | 3 | Endorectal ultrasonography versus phased-array magnetic resonance imaging for preoperative staging of rectal cancer显示文摘AIM: To compare the diagnostic accuracy of pelvic phased-array magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and endorectal ultrasonography (ERUS) in the preoperative staging of rectal carcinoma. METHODS: Thirty-four patients (15 males, 19 females) with ages ranging between 29 and 75 who have biopsy proven rectal tumor underwent both MRI and ERUS examinations before surgery. All patients were evaluated to determine the diagnostic accuracy of depth of transmural tumor invasion and lymph node metastases. Imaging results were correlated with histopathological findings regarded as the gold standard and both modalities were compared in terms of predicting preoperative local staging of rectal carcinoma. RESULTS: The pathological T stage of the tumors was: pT1 in 1 patient, pT2 in 9 patients, pT3 in 21 patients and pT4 in 3 patients. The pathological N stage of the tumors was: pN0 in 19 patients, pN1 in 9 patients and pN2 in 6 patients. The accuracy of T staging for MRI was 89.70% (27 out of 34). The sensitivity was 79.41% and the specificity was 93.14%. The accuracy of T staging for ERUS was 85.29% (24 out of 34). The sensitivity was 70.59% and the specificity was 90.20%. Detection of lymph node metastases usingphased-array MRI gave an accuracy of 74.50% (21 out of 34). The sensitivity and specificity was found to be 61.76% and 80.88%, respectively. By using ERUS in the detection of lymph node metastases, an accuracy of 76.47% (18 out of 34) was obtained. The sensitivity and specificity were found to be 52.94% and 84.31%, respectively. CONCLUSION: ERUS and phased-array MRI are complementary methods in the accurate preoperative staging of rectal cancer. | 6 | Tooth regeneration: a revolution in stomatology and evolution in regenerative medicine显示文摘A tooth is a complex biological organ and consists of multiple tissues including the enamel, dentin, cementum and pulp. Tooth loss is the most common organ failure. Can a tooth be regenerated? Can adult stem cells be orchestrated to regenerate tooth structures such as the enamel, dentin, cementum and dental pulp, or even an entire tooth? If not, what are the therapeutically viable sources of stem cells for tooth regeneration? Do stem cells necessarily need to be taken out of the body, and manipulated ex vivo before they are transplanted for tooth regeneration? How can regenerated teeth be economically competitive with dental implants? Would it be possible to make regenerated teeth affordable by a large segment of the population worldwide? This review article explores existing and visionary approaches that address some of the above-mentioned questions. Tooth regeneration represents a revolution in stomatology as a shift in the paradigm from repair to regeneration: repair is by metal or artificial materials whereas regeneration is by biological restoration. | 7 | Four billion years of ophiolites reveal secular trends in oceanic crust formation显示文摘We combine a geological,geochemical and tectonic dataset from 118 ophioiite complexes of the major global Phanerozoic orogenic belts with similar datasets of ophiolites from 111 Precambrian greenstone belts to construct an overview of oceanic crust generation over 4 billion years.Geochemical discrimination systematics built on immobile trace elements reveal that the basaltic units of the Phanerozoic ophiolites are dominantly subduction-related(75%),linked to backarc processes and characterized by a strong MORB component,similar to ophiolites in Precambrian greenstone sequences(85%).The remaining 25%Phanerozoic subduction-unrelated ophiolites are mainly(74%) of Mid-Ocean-Ridge type(MORB type),in contrast to the equal proportion of Rift/Continental Margin,Plume,and MORB type ophiolites in the Precambrian greenstone belts.Throughout the Phanerozoic there are large geochemical variations in major and trace elements,but for average element values calculated in 5 bins of 100 million year intervals there are no obvious secular trends.By contrast,basaltic units in the ophiolites of the Precambrian greenstones(calculated in 12 bins of 250 million years intervals),starting in late Paleo- to early Mesoproterozoic(ca.2.0-1.8 Ga),exhibit an apparent decrease in the average values of incompatible elements such as Ti,P,Zr,Y and Nb,and an increase in the compatible elements Ni and Cr with deeper time to the end of the Archean and into the Hadean.These changes can be attributed to decreasing degrees of partial melting of the upper mantle from Hadean/Archean to Present.The onset of geochemical changes coincide with the timing of detectible changes in the structural architecture of the ophiolites such as greater volumes of gabbro and more common sheeted dyke complexes,and lesser occurrences of ocelli(varioles) in the pillow lavas in ophiolites younger than 2 Ga.The global data from the Precambrian ophiolites,representative of nearly 50%of all known worldwide greenstone belts provide significant clues for the operation of plate tectonic processes in the Archean. | Harald Furnes Maarten de Wit Yildirim Dilek | 2014 | Geoscience Frontiers2014,5,4: | 13 |

| 9 | Association of ezrin expression in intestinal and diffuse gastric carcinoma with clinicopathological parameters and tumor type显示文摘AIM: To investigate the correlation between ezrin expression and types of gastric carcinoma and clinicopathological variables. METHODS: We examined ezrin protein expression in 75 gastric carcinoma (53 intestinal types of adenocarcinoma, 22 diffuse types of carcinoma) tissues by immunohistochemistry. The results were compared with clinicopathological parameters such as tumor type, grade of tumor, clinical stage, presence of metastatic lymph node, and depth of invasion. RESULTS: Ezrin immunostaining was positive in 43 cases (81.1%) of intestinal type and in 9 (40.9%) cases of diffuse type adenocarcinomas (P < 0.001). In gastric carcinomas, the expression of ezrin protein correlated with the status of H pylori and survival. There was no correlation between expression of ezrin with TNM stage and histological grade of gastric carcinomas (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: The low expression of ezrin implicates the loss of adhesion in diffuse carcinomas. | 10 | Diamonds Discovered from High–Cr Podiform Chromitites of Bulqiza,Eastern Mirdita Ophiolite,Albania显示文摘Various combinations of diamond, moissanite, zircon, corundum, rutile and titanitehave been recovered from the Bulqiza chromitites. More than 10 grains of diamond have been recovered, most of which are pale yellow to reddish–orange to colorless. The grains are all 100–300 μm in size and mostly anhedral, but with a range of morphologies including elongated, octahedral and subhedral varieties. Their identification was confirmed by a characteristic shift in the Raman spectra between 1325 cm^(-1) and 1333 cm^(-1), mostly at 1331.51 cm^(-1) or 1326.96 cm^(-1). This investigation extends the occurrence of diamond and moissanite to the Bulqiza chromitites in the Eastern Mirdita Ophiolite. Integration of the mineralogical, petrological and geochemical data of the Bulqiza chromitites suggests their multi–stage formation. Magnesiochromite grains and perhaps small bodies of chromitite formed at various depths in the upper mantle, and encapsulated the ultra–high pressure, highly reduced and crustal minerals. Some oceanic crustal slabs containing the magnesiochromite and their inclusion were later trapped in suprasubduction zones, where they were modified by tholeiitic and boninitic arc magmas, thus changing the magnesiochromite compositions and depositing chromitite ores in melt channels. | XIONG Fahui YANG Jingsui ROBINSON Paul T. | 12 | Association of CagA and VacA presence with ulcer and non-ulcer dyspepsia in a Turkish population显示文摘AIM: The mostly known genotypic virulence features, of H. pyloriare cytotoxin associated gene A (ragA) and Vacuolating cytotoxin gene A (VacA). We investigated the association of these major virulence factors with ulcer and non-ulcer dyspepsia in our region.METHODS: One hundred and forty two dyspeptic patients were studied (average age 44.8±15.9 years, range 15-87years, 64 males and 78 females). Antral and corpus biopsies were taken for detecting and genotyping of H. pylori. 107patients who were H. pylori positive by histological assessment were divided into three groups according to endoscopic findings: Duodenal ulcer (DU), gastric ulcer (GU)and non-ulcer dyspepsia (NUD). The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to detect CagA and VacA genes of H.pylori using specific primers.RESULTS: H.pyloriwas isolated from 75.4 % (107/142) of the patients. Of the 107 patients, 66 (61.7 %) were cagApositive and 82 (76.6 %) were Vacl-positive. CagA gene was positively associated with DU and GU (P<0.01, P<0.02),but not with NUD (P>0.05). Although VacA positivity in ulcer patients was higher than that in NUD group, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).CONCLUSION: There is a significantly positive association between CagA genes and DU and GU. | 13 | Mechanical and Antibacterial Properties of Injection Molded Polypropylene/TiO_2 Nano-Composites:Effects of Surface Modification显示文摘Polypropylene (PP)/titanium dioxide (TiO2) nano-composites were prepared by melt compounding with a twin screw extruder. Nanoparticles were modified prior to melt mixing with maleic anhydride grafted styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS-g-MA) and silane. The composites were injection molded and mechanical tests were applied to obtain tensile strength, elastic modulus and impact strength. Antibacterial efficiency test was applied on the injection molded composite plaques by viable cell counting technique. The results showed that the composites including SEBS-g-MA and silane coated TiO2 gave better mechanical properties than the composites without SEBS-g-MA. Methods: Antibacterial activity was evaluated with 10 bacteria including Streptococcus pyogenes (S. pyogenes), Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Staphylococcus epidermidis (S. epidermidis), Escheria coli (E. coli), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa), Salmonella typhimurium (S. typhimurium), Serratia marcescens (S. marcescens), Proteus vulgaris (P. vulgaris), Enterobacter cloacae (E. cloacea), and Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) by using disc diffusion method. Antitumor activity was evaluated with Agrobacterium tumefaciens (A. tumefaciens)-induced potato disc tumor assay. Results: Best antibacterial activity was obtained with ethanolic extract of P. pungens against S. pyogenes . Ethanolic and methanolic extract of N. alba and ethanolic extract of G. lydia also showed strong antibacterial activities. Results indicated that alcoholic extracts especially ethanolic extracts exhibited strong antibacterial activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Best antitumor activity was obtained with methanolic extracts of N. alba and V. lantana (100% tumor inhibition). Ethanolic extract of N. alba , alcoholic extracts of N. lutea , A. reptans and V. minor flowers, methanolic extracts of G. lydia and O. heterophyllum and ethanolic extract of V. lantana and aqueous extract of V. minor leaves exhibited strong tumor inhibitions. | 15 | Driver sleepiness,fatigue,careless behavior and risk of motor vehicle crash and injury:Population based case and control study显示文摘Background: A few studies have been conducted to determine the relationship between road motor vehicle crashes(MVC) and serious injuries related to tiredness, fatigues and sleeping.Aim: To determine the effects of aggressive behaviour, driver sleepiness and fatigue on MVC and related injuries among Turkish population.Design and setting: Population-based case and control study conducted at the accident emergency departments of hospitals and roads.Subjects: 515 car drivers involved in crashes with injury were admitted to hospital and 1030 car drivers involved while driving on public roads as control group during the study period.Methods: The Manchester driver behaviour questionnaire(DBQ) measured the aberrant driving behaviours leading to accidents. Participants completed a fatigue severity scale(FSS) and Stanford Sleeping questionnaire an epworth scale with items related to sociodemographic information, driving experiences, adherence to traffic laws(such as speed limits and seat belt), and drivers' driving records.Results: In a representative sampling, participant's age ranged from 25 to 65 and the mean and standard deviation were 36.5 ± 7.8 for cases and 37.0 ± 8.0 for controls. There was a significant difference in both group of drivers regarding BMI, level of education, marital status, driving experience, seat belt use, excessive speed limits, physical activity number of sleeping hours, mobile phone use, and cigarette smoking habit(p = 0.017). Also, there was a significant higher mean score on all the DBQ violation questions among case group in comparison with the control group(p < 0.001). Further, cases had higher prevalence of Epworth sleeping disorders(p < 0.001) and fatigue severity(p = 0.003) compared to control drivers. | 17 | Application of the modern ophiolite concept with special reference to Precambrian ophiolites显示文摘Much has been learned in the past 40 years about the great diversity of the internal structure and geochemical compositions of Phanerozoic ophiolites, indicating that these on-land fragments of ancient oceanic lithosphere formed in distinctly different tectonic settings during their igneous evolution. Recent studies in Archean and Proterozoic greenstone belts have shown that the Precambrian rock record may also include exposures of a diverse suite of ophiolite complexes as part of craton development in the early history of the Earth. We review the salient features of the Precambrian ophiolite record to highlight what has been learned about Precambrian oceanic spreading systems since the original Penrose definition of ophiolites in 1972. Some of the diagnostic, characteristic, typical, and rare aspects of ophiolites of all ages are presented in a table in order to help determine if tectonically deformed and metamophosed sequences in Precambrian shield areas may be considered as ophiolites. The results of this comparative study are important in that they enable researchers to more realistically characterize allochthonous mafic/ultramafic rock sequences as ophiolitic or non-ophiolitic. This approach is more deterministic in contrast to some other arbitrary classification schemes requiring three or four of the Penrose-style ophiolitic units to be present in the Precambrian record for a specific rock sequence to be considered ophiolitic. Once these tectonic fragments are recognized as remnants of ancient oceanic lithosphere, great progress shall be made in understanding early Earth history. We discuss the significance and implications of the Precambrian ophiolite record to constrain the mode and nature of the plate tectonics that operated in deep time. | Timothy M. Additionally, chemical composition optimization was made. Furthermore, the effect of boron addition on such applications was investigated. Samples were investigated by using optical and electron microscope methods. Hardness, wear and impact tests were conducted. The results showed that the secondary carbides in the standard alloy were iron-enriched, needle-like carbides M3C when the boron-added alloy contained Fe23(C,B)6 type, globular secondary carbides. It was concluded that heat treatment B provided higher wear and hardness properties, compared to the standard heat treatment. | 20 | Different accelerated corneal collagen cross-linking treatment modalities in progressive keratoconus显示文摘Background:To compare the outcomes of two different protocols of accelerated corneal crosslinking(CXL)on visual,corneal high order aberrations(HOA)and topographic parameters in patients with progressive keratoconus.Methods:In this prospective comparative study,sixty-six eyes of 66 patients with progressive keratoconus were divided into two groups;37 eyes in Group 1 received 18 mW/cm^(2) for five minutes,and 29 eyes in Group 2 were treated with 9 mW/cm^(2) for 10 min.The uncorrected distant visual acuity(UCVA),best-corrected distant visual acuity(BCVA),corneal HOAs and topography parameters were measured preoperatively and postoperatively at the end of 12 months.The data for the two groups were compared statistically.Results:The mean UCVA and BCVA were significantly improved at the postoperative 12 months compared with the preoperative values in both groups(P<0.05 for all).A significant improvement in corneal HOAs was observed in both groups(P<0.05 for all).The change in corneal coma value was significantly higher in Group 2(P<0.05).The change in keratometric values K1,K2,AvgK and maximum keratometry(AKf)were significantly higher in Group 2(P<0.05 for all).The regression model showed that the most important factor predicting the change in AKf was the type of CXL(β=−0.482,P=0.005).Conclusions:Accelerated CXL using 10 min of UVA irradiance at 9 mW/cm^(2) showed better topographic improvements and coma values than five minutes of UVA irradiance at 18 mW/cm^(2) independent of keratoconus severity. | Ahmet Kirgiz Mustafa Eliacik Yusuf Yildirim | 2019 | Eye and Vision2019,6,1: | 4 |
