1Chitosan as green kinetic inhibitors for gas hydrate formation显示文摘The kinetic inhibiting effect of a number of chitosans on hydrate formation was investigated using methane and methane/ethane gas mixtures.The results indicated that chitosan was a good kinetic inhibitor.The induction time of gas hydrate formation evidently increased with the degree of deacetylation (DD),however,when DD was higher than 80%,the effect of DD on the induction time was negligible.Moreover,it was found that the molecular weight (MW) of chitosan and the addition of polyethylene oxide (PEO) had little effect on the induction time.The optimal concentration of chitosan was found to be 0.6 wt%.Finally,the mechanisms of the kinetic inhibitor on the hydrate formation were discussed.Yongjun Xu Minlin Yang Xiaoxi Yang 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,4:15

15Antireflection Surfaces for Biological Analysis Using Laser Desorption Ionization Mass Spectrometry显示文摘Laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry(LDI-MS)is a primary tool for biological analysis.Its success relies on the use of chemical matrices that facilitate sof desorption and ionization of the biomolecules,which,however,also limits its application for metabolomics study due to the chemical interference by the matrix compounds.Te requirement for sample pretreatment is also undesirable for direct sampling analysis or tissue imaging.In this study,antirefection(AR)metal surfaces were investigated as sample substrates for matrix-free LDI-MS.Tey were prepared through ultrafast laser processing,with high light-to-heat energy conversion efciency.Te morphology and micro/nanostructures on the metal surfaces could be adjusted and optimized by tuning the laser fabrication process.Te super-high UV absorption at 97%enabled highly efcient thermal desorption and ionization of analytes.Te analytical performance for the matrix-free LDI was explored by analyzing a variety of biological compounds,including carbohydrates,drugs,metabolites,and amino acids.Its applicability for direct analysis of complex biological samples was also demonstrated by direct analysis of metabolites in yeast cells.Jing Yang Hongjun Zhang Jia Jia Xinrong Zhang Xiaoxiao Ma Minlin Zhong Zheng Ouyang 2018Research2018,,1:1

18Slc43a2^(+)T cell metastasis from spleen to brain in RGNNV infected teleost显示文摘The origin of T cells in the teleost's brain is unclear.While viewing the central nervous system(CNS)as immune privileged has been widely accepted,previous studies suggest that T cells residing in the thymus but not in the spleen of the teleost play an essential role in communicating with the peripheral organs.Here,we identified nine T cell subpopulations in the thymus and spleen of orange-spotted grouper(Epinephelus coioices)through single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis.After viral CNS infection with red-spotted grouper nervous necrosis virus(RGNNV),the number of slc43a2^(+)T cells synchronously increased in the spleen and brain.During the infection tests in asplenic zebrafish(tlx1^▲zebrafish model),no increase in the number of slc43a2^(+)T cells was observed in the brain.Single-cell transcriptomic analysis indicated that slc43a2^(+)T cells mature and functionally differentiate within the spleen and then migrate into the brain to trigger an immune response.This study suggests a novel route for T cell migration from the spleen to the brain during viral infection in fish.Qing Wang Yali Liu Minlin Zhang Min Yang Jiantao Liang Xiaoling Zuo Shaowen Wang Xianze Jia Huihong Zhao Han Jiang Qiang Lin Qiwei Qin 2024Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,4:0
