Structure and deformation around the Gyirong basin, north Himalaya, and onset of the south Tibetan detachment system显示文摘Gyirong basin and its adjacent area are located at a special position in the Himalayan orogen, where the south Tibetan detachment system (STDS) and N-S trending rift converged. The north Himalayan orogen here can be divided into five petrologic-tectonic units successively from south to north: 1) the Greater Himalayan crystalline complex (GHC); 2) the STDS shear zone; 3) the Tethyan Himalayan sedimentary sequence (THS); 4) the late Cenozoic sedimentary basins, such as Gyirong and Oma basins; and 5) the Malashan gneiss dome. Structural studies show that this area experienced four stages of deformation: 1) the earlier south-directed thrusting, preserved both in the GHC and THS; 2) top-down-to-north slip along the STDS, normal faults related to this slip formed the early controlling structures of the Cenozoic basins, and the tilted pattern of the blocks between the basins indicated a north-directed slip; 3) east-west extension, the resultant N-S trending normal fault formed the eastern boundary of the basins; and 4) late gravitational collapse. Zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating on the syn-deformational (leuco-) granite along the STDS indicates that the major activity of the STDS occurred at ca. 26 Ma, but its onset may have begun as early as ca. 36 Ma. | YANG XiongYing ZHANG JinJiang QI GuoWei WANG DeChao GUO Lei LI PengYuan LIU Jiang | 2009 | Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,8: | 33
Hypoxic preconditioning stimulates angiogenesis in ischemic penumbra after acute cerebral infarction显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated the protective effect of hypoxic preconditioning on acute cerebral infarction, but the mechanisms underlying this protection remain unclear. To investigate the protective mechanisms of hypoxic preconditioning in relation to its effects on angiogenesis,we induced a photochemical model of cerebral infarction in an inbred line of mice(BALB/c).Mice were then exposed to hypoxic preconditioning 30 minutes prior to model establishment. Results showed significantly increased vascular endothelial growth factor and CD31 expression in the ischemic penumbra at 24 and 72 hours post infarction, mainly in neurons and vascular endothelial cells.Hypoxic preconditioning increased vascular endothelial growth factor and CD31 expression in the ischemic penumbra and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor was positively related to that of CD31.Moreover,hypoxic preconditioning reduced the infarct volume and improved neurological function in mice. These findings indicate that the protective role of hypoxic preconditioning in acute cerebral infarction may possibly be due to an increase in expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and CD31 in the ischemic penumbra, which promoted angiogenesis. | Sijie Li Yanbo Zhang Guo Shao Mingfeng Yang Jingzhong Niu Guowei Lv Xunming Ji | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,31: | 31
State-of-the-art of 3D printing technology of cementitious material—An emerging technique for construction显示文摘In recent few years, significant improvement has been made in developing largescale 3 D printer to accommodate the need of industrial-scale 3 D printing. Cementitious materials that are compatible with 3 D printing promote rapid application of this innovative technique in the construction field with advantages of cost effective, high efficiency, design flexibility and environmental friendly. This paper firstly reviews existing 3 D printing techniques that are currently being used in commercial3 D printers. It then summarizes three latest development of largescale 3 D printing systems and identifies their relationships and limiting factors. Thereafter, critical factors that are used to evaluate the workability and printable performance of cementitious materials are specified. Easy-extrusive, easy-flowing, well-buildable, and proper setting time are significant for cementitious material to meet the critical requirements of a freeform construction process. Finally, main advantages, potential applications and the prospects of future research of 3 D printing in construction technology are suggested. The objective of this work is to review current design methodologies and operational constraints of largescale 3 D printing system and provide references for optimizing the performance of cementitious material and promote its responsible use with largescale 3 D printing technology. | MA GuoWei WANG Li JU Yang | 2018 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2018,61,4: | 28
Three-dimensional aerodynamic optimization design of high-speed train nose based on GA-GRNN显示文摘With the speed upgrade of the high-speed train, the aerodynamic drag becomes one of the key factors to restrain the train speed and energy saving. In order to reduce the aerodynamic drag of train head,a new parametric approach called local shape function(LSF) was adopted based on the free form surface deformation(FFD) method and a new efficient optimization method based on the response surface method(RSM) of GA-GRNN.The optimization results show that the parametric method can control the large deformation with a few design parameters, and can ensure the deformation zones smoothness and smooth transition of different deformation regions. With the same sample points for training,GA-GRNN performs better than GRNN to get the global optimal solution. As an example, the aerodynamic drag for a simplified shape with head + one carriage + tail train is reduced by 8.7%.The proposed optimization method is efficient for the engineering design of high-speed train. | YAO ShuanBao GUO DiLong YANG GuoWei | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,11: | 23
Age of Anzishan granulites in the Mianxian-Lueyang suture zone of Qingling orogen:With a discussion of the timing of final assembly of Yangtze and North China craton blocks显示文摘Many granulite blocks have been recently dis-covered in the Anzishan area, Mianxian County, ShaanxiProvince, in the central segment of the Manxian-Lueyangsuturc zone. Sm-Nd isochron and 40 Ar39 Ar ages of mineralsamples of granulites from this area are reported in the note. The granulite mineral samples give a Sm-Nd isochron age oft=(206 ± 55) Ma (2σ), with INd = 0.51302±7(2σ) and MSWD =1.6, and a biotite 40Ar/39 Ar plateau age of (199.7±l.7) Ma(2σ). The formation and uplift of the granulites were relatedto subduction of the Yangtze block beneath the SouthQinling microcontinent and their collision and the finalamalgamation of the Yangtze and Sino-Korean craton blocksin the Indosinian, and their age is consistent with or close tothose of the Dabie ultrahigh-pressure and high-pressuremetamorphic rocks, so have great tectonic significance. | ZHANG Zongqing ZHANG Guowei TANG SuohaiV XU Jifeng YANG Yongcheng WANG Jinhui | 2002 | Chinese Science Bulletin2002,47,22: | 19
Aerodynamic design for China new high-speed trains显示文摘High-speed trains have very complex running environments, which contain single-train running in open air,two-trains passing by in open air,single-train running in tunnel and two-trains passing by in tunnel. When the environment wind appears, crosswind effects must be considered.Aerodynamic design of high-speed trains mainly aims at the drag, lift, moment, impulse pressure waves, aerodynamic noise, etc.at typical running conditions. In the paper, the aerodynamic design processes of CRH380A and 380B are introduced and the aerodynamic performances of different designs are analyzed and compared.Wind tunnel experiments and running tests indicate that the new generation of high-speed trains have excellent aerodynamic performances. | YANG GuoWei GUO DiLong YAO ShuanBao LIU ChengHui | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,7: | 18
Multi-objective optimization of the streamlined head of high-speed trains based on the Kriging model显示文摘As the running speed of high-speed trains increases, aerodynamic drag becomes the key factor which limits the further increase of the running speed and energy consumption. Aerodynamic lift of the trailing car also becomes the key force which affects the amenity and safety of the train. In the present paper, a simplified CRH380A high-speed train with three carriages is chosen as the model in order to optimize aerodynamic drag of the total train and aerodynamic lift of the trailing car. A constrained mul- ti-objective optimization design of the aerodynamic head shape of high-speed trains based on adaptive non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm is also developed combining local function three-dimensional parametric approach and central Latin hypercube sampling method with maximin criteria based on the iterative local search algorithm. The results show that local function parametric approach can be well applied to optimal design of complex three-dimensional aerodynamic shape, and the adaptive non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm can be more accurate and efficient to find the Pareto front. After optimization the aerodynamic drag of the simplified train with three carriages is reduced by 3.2%, and the lift coefficient of the trailing car by 8.24%, the volume of the streamlined head by 2.16%; the aerodynamic drag of the real prototype CRH380A is reduced by 2.26%, lift coefficient of the trailing car by 19.67%. The variation of aerodynamic performance between the simplified train and the true train is mainly concentrated in the deformation region of the nose cone and tail cone. The optimization approach proposed in the present paper is simple yet efficient, and sheds lights on the constrained multi-objective engineering optimization design of aerodynamic shape of high-speed trains. | YAO ShuanBao GUO DiLong SUN ZhenXu YANG GuoWei CHEN DaWei | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,12: | 17
Time-lapse geophysical technology-based study on overburden strata changes induced by modern coal mining显示文摘To study the impact of modern coal mining on overlying strata and its water bearing conditions, integrated time-lapse geophysical prospecting integrating 3D seismic, electrical and ground penetrating radar method were used.Through observing and analyzing the geophysical data variations of all stages of pre-mining,mining and post-mining as well as post-mining deposition stable period, impacts of coal mining on stratigraphic structure and its water bearing were studied and modern coal mining induced stratigraphic change pattern was summarized. The research result shows that the stratigraphic structure and the water bearing of surface layer during modern coal mining have self-healing pattern with mining time;the self-healing capability of near-surface strata is relatively strong while the roof weak;water bearing selfhealing of near-surface strata is relatively high while the roof strata adjacent to mined coal beds low.Due to integrated time-lapse geophysical prospecting technology has extra time dimension which makes up the deficiency of static analysis of conventional geophysical methods,it can better highlight the dynamic changes of modern coal mining induced overburden strata and its water bearing conditions. | Wenfeng Du Suping Peng Guowei Zhu Feng Yang | 2014 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2014,1,2: | 16
Geochemistry of the ophiolite and oceanic island basalt in the Kangxian-Pipasi-Nanping tectonic mélange zone, South Qinling and their tectonic significance显示文摘Detailed studies indicate that Kangxian-Pipasi-Nanping tectonic zone is a complicated mélange zone which includes many tectonic slabs of different origins. Ophiolite (MORB-type basalt), oceanic island tholeiite and alkaline basalt have been identified. Moreover, this tectonic mélange zone is eastward connected with the Mianlüe suture zone. The deformation characteristics, consisting components and volcanic rock geochemical features for the Kangxian-Pipasi-Nanping tectonic mélange zone are much similar to those of the Mianlüe suture zone and Deerni ophiolite. Therefore, the Kangxian-Pipasi-Nanping tectonic mélange zone should be the westward extension part of the Mianlüe suture zone. It indicates that the Mianlüe suture zone had extended to the Nanping area. | LAI Shaocong ZHANG Guowei PEI Xianzhi YANG Haifeng | 2004 | Science China Earth Sciences2004,47,2: | 13
The effect of conical flowfields on the performance of waveriders at Mach 6显示文摘The performance of 23 kinds of waveriders, derived from different conical flowfields, is analyzed by the numerical computation under the conditions of fight speed of Mach 6, attack angle of 0° and flight alti- tude of 30 km. These results indicate that the performance is influenced by the shapes and the width to height ratios (W/H ) of generating cones. The geometrical parameter and the lift coefficient are propor- tional to W/H, while the drag coefficient and the lift to drag ratio (L/D ) have extreme values. Considering the base drag and the computation errors, the waverider with the highest L/D is cut from the elliptical cone’s flowfield (W/H = 1.5―1.618), and the configuration with the lowest drag can also be obtained at W/H = 1:1.5. Accordingly, good suggestions are proposed for practical design based on these compu- tational results. | CUI Kai YANG GuoWei | 2007 | Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,1: | 11

Influences of affiliated components and train length on the train wind显示文摘The induced airfl w from passing trains, which is recognized as train wind, usually has adverse impacts on people in the surroundings,i.e.,the aerodynamic forces generated by a high-speed train's wind may act on the human body and endanger the safety of pedestrians or roadside workers. In this paper,an improved delayed detached eddy simulation(IDDES) method is used to study train wind. The effects of the affiliate components and train length on train wind are analyzed. The results indicate that the aff liated components and train length have no effect on train wind in the area in front of the leading nose.In the downstream and wake regions, the longitudinal train wind becomes stronger as the length of the train increases, while the transverse train wind is not affected. The presence of affiliate components strengthens the train wind in the near fiel of the train because of strong fl w solid interactions but has limited effects on train wind in the far | Dilong Guo Keming Shang Ye Zhang Guowei Yang Zhenxu Sun | 2016 | Acta Mechanica Sinica2016,32,2: | 10
Geochemistry of the E-MORB type ophiolite and related volcanic rocks from the Wushan area, West Qinling显示文摘The mafic-ultramafic assemblages, which thrustthrust into the Wushan-Tangzang boundary fault as some blocks and outcropped in the Yuanyangzhen, Lijiahe, Lubangou and Gaojiahe area, consist mainly of meta-peridotites, gabbros and basalts. The meta-peridotites are characterized by high SiO2 and MgO contents, low ΣREE, as well as their chondrite-normalized rare earth element patterns show some similarities to that of middle oceanic meta-peridotite. The basalts from the Yuanyangzhen, Lijiahe and Lubangou area are characterized by relatively high TiO2 content, low Al2O3 content and Na2O>>K2O. Above all, it is the slight enrichment or flat REE distribution patterns and the unfractionated in HFS elements in the primitive-normalized trace elements distribution patterns that indicate these basalts are similar to that of the typical E-MORB. In comparison, the basalts from the Gaojiahe section are featured by depletion in Nb and Ta contents and enrichment in Th content which show that these were derived from an island-arc setting. From studies of the regional geology, petrology, geochemistry, geo- chronology and all above evidence, it can be suggested that the mafic-ultramafic rocks from the Wushan area are mainly dismembered E-MORB type ophiolite, which represent the fragments of the lithosphere of the Early-Paleozoic Qinling ocean. It is preferred that these rocks were formed in an initial mid-ocean ridge setting during the beginning stage of the oceanic basin spreading. This ophiolite together with the Gaojiahe island-arc basalts shows that there exists an ophiolitic mélange along the Wushan-Tangzang boundary fault, and marks the suture zone after the closure of the Qinling ocean in early Paleozoic. | DONG YunPeng ZHANG GuoWei YANG Zhao ZHAO Xia MA HaiYong YAO AnPing | 2007 | Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,z2: | 9
Wall-modeling for large-eddy simulation of flows around an axisymmetric body using the diffuse-interface immersed boundary method显示文摘A novel method is proposed to combine the wall-modeled large-eddy simulation(LES) with the diffuse-interface direct-forcing immersed boundary(IB) method. The new developments in this method include:(i) the momentum equation is integrated along the wall-normal direction to link the tangential component of the effective body force for the IB method to the wall shear stress predicted by the wall model;(ii) a set of Lagrangian points near the wall are introduced to compute the normal component of the effective body force for the IB method by reconstructing the normal component of the velocity. This novel method will be a classical direct-forcing IB method if the grid is fine enough to resolve the flow near the wall. The method is used to simulate the flows around the DARPA SUBOFF model. The results obtained are well comparable to the measured experimental data and wall-resolved LES results. | Beiji SHI Xiaolei YANG Guodong JIN Guowei HE Shizhao WANG | 2019 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2019,40,3: | 8
Influence of tunnel length on the pressure wave generated by high-speed trains passing each other显示文摘The prediction of the pressure wave amplitude produced when two trains pass each other in the tunnel is important to the train design for airtightness and tunnel conditions in China. In this paper, the key factors of this problem were firstly stud-ied based on theoretical analysis. The equation of the worst tunnel length for the global maximum and minimum pressure values was derived. Then, the influence of tunnel length on global minimum pressure and the critical region in which the global minimum pressure varies rapidly were investigated. Finally,a numerical method based on two-dimensional Na-vier-Stokes equations was established.Typical conditions of two trains passing-by in tunnels of different lengths were simulated. The theoretical and computational results agree with each other closely. | WANG YiWei YANG GuoWei HUANG ChengGuang WANG Wei | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,1: | 7

Demystifying the catalysis in lithium–sulfur batteries:Characterizationmethods and techniques显示文摘Lithium–sulfur(Li-S)batteries are promising next-generation energy storage systems with ultrahigh energy density. However, the intrinsic sluggish“solid–liquid–solid”reaction between S8 and Li2S causes unavoidable shuttling of polysulfides, severely limiting the practical energy density and cycling performance.Recently, the catalysis process has been introduced for the sulfur redox reaction to accelerate the conversion of polysulfides, providing a positive remedy for the polysulfides shuttling.Nevertheless,in-depth understanding of the catalyst evaluation criteria and catalytic mechanism still lies in the“black box”,and precise characterization technique is the key to unlock this puzzle. In this review,we provide a comprehensive overview of characterization techniques on the catalyst in Li-S batteries from two aspects of catalytic performance and catalytic mechanism, highlighting their significance and calling for more efforts to develop precise and fast techniques for Li-S catalysis. Moreover,we envision the future development of characterization for better understanding the catalysis toward practical Li-S battery. | Chuannan Geng Wuxing Hua DaweiWang Guowei Ling Chen Zhang Quan-Hong Yang | 2021 | SusMat2021,1,1: | 6
Microblog Burst Keywords Detection Based on Social Trust and Dynamics Model显示文摘Microblog has emerged as a popular medium for providing new sources of information and rapid communications, particularly during burst topics. Burst keywords detection from real-time microblog streams is important for burst topics detection. The exiting algorithms may detect fake burst keywords without taking into account the trustworthiness of the users and human's daily timetable. Our work is the first to combine the trustworthiness of the users with burst keywords detection. We propose a novel approach to detect burst keywords based on social trust and dynamics model. We adapt basic notions of dynamics from physics and model keywords bursts as momentum change of the keywords. On the analogy of physical dynamics model, this approach defines mass as the trustworthiness of user and position as the frequency of keywords. We compute each keyword's burst value by using Moving average convergence/divergence(MACD) and determine whether it is a burst keyword in a given time window. The experimental results on large-scale Sina microblog dataset show that the proposed approach can avoid detecting fake burst keywords. | DONG Guozhong LI Ruiguang YANG Wu WANG Wei GONG Liangyi SHEN Guowei YU Miao LV Jiguang | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2014,23,4: | 6
SARS-CoV-2 promotes RIPK1 activation to facilitate viral propagation显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),is the ongoing global pandemic that poses substantial challenges to public health worldwide.A subset of COVID-19 patients experience systemic inflammatory response, known as cytokine storm, which may lead to death.Receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 1(RIPK1)is an important mediator of inflammation and cell death. Here,we examined the interaction of RIPK1-mediated innate immunity with SARS-CoV-2 infection. We found evidence of RIPK1 activation in human COVID-19 lung pathological samples, and cultured human lung organoids and ACE2 transgenic mice infected by SARS-CoV-2.Inhibition of RIPK1 using multiple smallmolecule inhibitors reduced the viral load of SARS-CoV-2 in human lung organoids.Furthermore, therapeutic dosing of the RIPK1 inhibitor Nec-1s reduced mortality and lung viral load, and blocked the CNS manifestation of SARS-CoV-2 in ACE2 transgenic mice.Mechanistically,we found that the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase of SARS-CoV-2,NSP12,a highly conserved central component of coronaviral replication and transcription machinery, promoted the activation of RIPK1.Furthermore,NSP12323L variant, encoded by the SARS-CoV-2 C14408T variant first detected in Lombardy,Italy, that carries a Pro323Leu amino acid substitution in NSP12,showed increased ability to activate RIPK1.Inhibition of RIPK1 downregulated the transcriptional induction of proinflammatory cytokines and host factors including ACE2 and EGFR that promote viral entry into cells. Our results suggest that SARS-CoV-2 may have an unexpected and unusual ability to hijack the RIPK1-mediated host defense response to promote its own propagation and that inhibition of RIPK1 may provide a therapeutic option for the treatment of COVID-19. | Gang Xu Ying Li Shengyuan Zhang Haoran Peng Yunyun Wang Dekang Li Taijie Jin Zhuohao He Yilun Tong Chunting Qi Guowei Wu Kangyun Dong Jizhou Gou Yang Liu Tongyang Xiao Jing Qu Liang Li Liang Liu Ping Zhao Zheng Zhang Junying Yuan | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,12: | 6
