| 1 | Effects of Sc content on the mechanical properties of Al-Sc alloys显示文摘The effects of Sc content on the mechanical properties of Al-Sc alloys were investigated.The results show that the strengths of all the tested alloys with 0.1 wt.%,0.3 wt.%,and 0.4 wt.% Sc additions increase initially with an increase in annealing time,due to the increase in volume fraction and size and the decrease in particle interspacing of Al3Sc particles.After reaching peak values,the strengths of all the tested alloys start to decrease with increasing annealing time due to the coarsening and increase in particle interspacing of Al3Sc particles.It has also been shown that the alloy with 0.3 wt.% Sc has a higher strength and a lower elongation than the alloys with 0.1 wt.% and 0.4 wt.% Sc.The increase in strength and the decrease in elongation of the alloy with 0.3 wt.% Sc are due to the smaller particle interspacing of Al3Sc particles,resulting in a strong inhibition of dislocation movement during deformation. | SUN Yingying,SONG Min,and HE Yuehui State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy,Central South University,Changsha 410083,China | 2010 | Rare Metals2010,29,5: | 6 |
| 2 | Rapid, automated, and reliable antimicrobial susceptibility test from positive blood culture by CAST‐R显示文摘Antimicrobial susceptibility tests(ASTs)are pivotal in combating multidrug resistant pathogens,yet they can be time‐consuming,labor‐intensive,and unstable.Using the AST of tigecycline for sepsis as the main model,here we establish an automated system of Clinical Antimicrobials Susceptibility Test Ramanometry(CAST‐R),based on D2O‐probed Raman microspectroscopy.Featuring a liquid robot for sample pretreatment and a machine learning‐based control scheme for data acquisition and quality control,the 3‐h,automated CAST‐R process accelerates AST by>10‐fold,processes 96 paralleled antibiotic‐exposure reactions,and produces high‐quality Raman spectra.The Expedited Minimal Inhibitory Concentration via Metabolic Activity is proposed as a quantitative and broadly applicable parameter for metabolism‐based AST,which shows 99%essential agreement and 93%categorical agreement with the broth microdilution method(BMD)when tested on 100 Acinetobacter baumannii isolates.Further tests on 26 clinically positive blood samples for eight antimicrobials,including tigecycline,meropenem,ceftazidime,ampicillin/sulbactam,oxacillin,clindamycin,vancomycin,and levofloxacin reveal 93%categorical agreement with BMD‐based results.The automation,speed,reliability,and general applicability of CAST‐R suggest its potential utility for guiding the clinical administration of antimicrobials. | Pengfei Zhu Lihui Ren Ying Zhu Jing Dai Huijie Liu Yuli Mao Yuandong Li Yuehui He Xiaoshan Zheng Rongze Chen Xiaoting Fu Lili Zhang Lijun Sun Yuanqi Zhu Yuetong Ji Bo Ma Yingchun Xu Jian Xu Qiwen Yang | 2022 | mLife2022,1,3: | 3 |

| 6 | Chaos synchronization of semiconductor lasers over 1040-km fiber relay transmission with hybrid amplification显示文摘Optical chaos communication and key distribution have been extensively demonstrated with high-speed advantage but only within the metropolitan-area network range of which the transmission distance is restricted to around 300 km.For secure-transmission requirement of the backbone fiber link,the critical threshold is to realize long-reach chaos synchronization.Here,we propose and demonstrate a scheme of long-reach chaos synchronization using fiber relay transmission with hybrid amplification of an erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA)and a distributed fiber Raman amplifier(DFRA).Experiments and simulations show that the hybrid amplification extends the chaos-fidelity transmission distance thanks to that the low-noise DFRA suppresses the amplified spontaneous emission noise and self-phase modulation.Optimizations of the hybrid-relay conditions are studied,including launching power,gain ratio of DFRA to EDFA,single-span fiber length,and number of fiber span.A 1040-km chaos synchronization with a synchronization coefficient beyond 0.90 is experimentally achieved,which underlies the backbone network-oriented optical chaos communication and key distribution. | LONGSHENG WANG JUNLI WANG YUSHAN WU YUEHUI SUN SONGSUI LI LIANSHAN YAN YUNCAI WANG ANBANG WANG | 2023 | Photonics Research2023,11,6: | 1 |
| 7 | Metal-enhanced fluorescence of lanthanide chelates near silver nanostructured films显示文摘Metal-enhanced fluorescence(MEF)from lanthanide chelates in close proximity to silver films was studied.Different thicknesses of silver films(20 and 50 nm)were deposited onto quartz substrates using magnetron sputtering,while silver island films were prepared using a previously published procedure.Obviously enhanced emissions from the lanthanide chelates were observed on the silver films.The effect of using different concentrations of aqueous solutions polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)on MEF was also investigated.Fluorescence close to a 20-nm-thick silver film showed that the enhancement of emission is a function of the thickness of the PVA film,reaching a maximum(~2.5-fold increase in intensity)at 83 nm.In conclusion,the MEF induced by the silver films is caused by an electric field effect arising from surface plasmon resonance. | YANG Guang WANG Ting WANG YueHui ZHOU Ji SUN Li | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,33: | 1 |
| 8 | Efficient degradation of organic pollutants by S-NaTaO_(3)/biochar under visible light and the photocatalytic performance of a permonosulfate-based dual-effect catalytic system显示文摘Removing large concentrations of organic pollutants from water efficiently and quickly under visible light is essential to developing photocatalytic technology and improving solar energy efficiency.This study used a simple hydrothermal method to prepare a non-metallic,S-doped NaTaO_(3)(S-NTO) photocatalyst,which was then loaded onto biochar (BC) to form a S-NTO/BC composite photocatalyst.After uniform loading onto BC,the S-NTO particles transformed from cubic to spherical.The photogenerated electron-hole pair recombination probability of the composite photocatalyst was significantly lower than those of the NTO particles.The light absorption range of the catalyst was effectively widened from 310 nm UV region to visible region.In addition,a dual-effect catalytic system was constructed by introducing peroxymonosulfate (PMS) into the environment of the pollution to be degraded.The Rhodamine B,Methyl Orange,Acid Orange 7,tetracycline,and ciprofloxacin degradation efficiency at 40 mg/L reached 99.6%,99.2%,84.5%,67.1%,and 70.7%,respectively,after irradiation by a 40 W lamps for 90 min.The high-efficiency visible-light catalytic activity of the dual-effect catalytic system was attributed to doping with non-metallic sulfur and loading of catalysts onto BC.The development of this dual-effect catalytic system provides new ideas for quickly and efficiently solving the problem of high-concentration organic pollution in aqueous environments,rationally and fully utilizing solar energy,and expanding the application of photocatalytic technology to practice. | Yuehui Tai Jinlong Sun Haoran Tian Fuyue Liu Boyu Han Wei Fu Zhangpei Liu Xiuye Yang Qifeng Liu | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3: | 1 |

| 14 | Recent developments in electrosynthesis of nitriles and electrocatalytic cyanations显示文摘Nitrile compounds are a class of high-value chemicals and versatile intermediates which can easily be transformed into a variety of useful products bearing functional groups such as carboxyl, carbamoyl, aminomethyl, ketyl and heterocyclic derivatives. Various thermal catalytic cyanation procedures have been devised and scaled up industrially while developing alternative methods are actively pursued. The access to these classes of molecules electrochemically offers greener alternatives to their preparation. The development of electrochemical synthesis of cyano-containing compounds under mild conditions with low energy consumption will imminently become indispensable approaches for industrial production of nitriles. The electrochemical cyanation presents many challenges from the toxicity of cyanide to the development of catalysts and the design of electrochemical cells. Electrochemical cyanation reaction offers promise to conveniently accessing nitriles but still requires efficient electro-catalysts, safe protocols and scale up considerations.
