1Redox-neutral photocatalytic strategy for selective C–C bond cleavage of lignin and lignin models via PCET process显示文摘It remains challenging to achieve the selective cleavage of C–C bonds in lignin or lignin model compounds to produce aromatic products in high yield and selectivity.We have developed a redox-neutral photocatalytic strategy to accomplish this goal in both b-O-4 and b-1 lignin models at room temperature(RT)via proton-coupled electron transfer(PCET)process without any pretreatments of substrate,by adjusting the alkalinity of base to obtain a lignin models/base PCET pair with a bond dissociation free energy close to 102 kcal/mol.Without breaking down C_b–Ccbond and any C–O bonds,this PCET method is 100%atom economy and produces exclusive Ca–C_bbond cleavage products,such as benzaldehydes(up to 97%)and phenyl ethers(up to 96%),in high to excellent yields and selectivities.Preliminary studies indicated that the PCET strategy is also effective for the depolymerization of native lignin at RT,thus providing significantly important foundation to the depolymerization of lignin.Yinling Wang Yue Liu Jianghua He Yuetao Zhang 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,22:8
2Microstructure and low cycle fatigue of a Ti2AlNb-based lightweight alloy显示文摘Ti2AlNb-based intermetallic compounds are considered as a new category of promising lightweight aerospace materials due to their balanced mechanical properties.The aim of this study was to evaluate monotonic and cyclic deformation behavior of an as-cast Ti-22A1-20Nb-2V-1Mo-0.25Si(at.%)intermetallic compound in relation to its microstructure.The alloy containing an abundant fine lamellar O-Ti2AlNb phase exhibited a good combination of strength and plasticity,and superb fatigue resistance in comparison with other intermetallic compounds.Cyclic stabilization largely remained except slight cyclic hardening occurring at higher strain amplitudes.While fatigue life could be described using the common Coffin-Mason-Basquin equation,it could be better predicted via a weighted energy-based approach.Fatigue crack growth was characterized mainly by crystallographic cracking,along with fatigue striationlike features being unique to appear in the intermetallics.The results obtained in this study lay the foundation for the safe and durable applications of Ti2AlNb-based lightweight intermetallic compounds.Yinling Zhang Aihan Feng Shoujiang Qu Jun Shen Daolun Chen 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,44,9:5
3Ir nanoclusters confined within hollow MIL-101(Fe)for selective hydrogenation ofα,β-unsaturated aldehyde显示文摘Although the selective hydrogenation ofα,β-unsaturated aldehyde to unsaturated alcohol(UOL)is an extremely important transformation,it is still a great challenge to achieve high selectivity to UOL due to thermodynamic favoring of the C=C hydrogenation over the C=O hydrogenation.Herein,we report that iridium nanoclusters(Ir NCs)confined within hollow MIL-101(Fe)expresses satisfied reaction activity(93.9%)and high selectivity(96.2%)for the hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde(CAL)to cinnamyl alcohol(COL)under 1 bar H;atmosphere and room temperature.The unique hollow structure of MIL-101(Fe)benefits for the fast transport of reactant,ensuring the comparable reaction activity and better recyclability of Ir@MIL-101(Fe)than the counterparts which Ir NCs were on the surface of MIL-101(Fe).Furthermore,The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data indicates the electropositive Ir NCs,owing to the electron transfer from Ir to MIL-101(Fe),can interact with oxygen lone pairs,and Fourier transform infrared spectrum shows the Lewis acid sites in MIL-101(Fe)can strongly interact with C=O bond,which contributes to a high selectivity for COL.This work suggests the considerable potential of synergetic effect between hollow MOFs and metal nanoclusters for selective hydrogenation reactions.Qinglin Liu Qian Liu Yurong Chen Yinle Li Hui Su Qinghua Liu Guangqin Li 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,1:3
4Drug resistance mutation profiles of the drug-nave and first-line regimen-treated HIV-1-infected population of Suzhou, China显示文摘Little is known about the prevalence of drug-resistant mutations in HIV-1-positive individuals in Suzhou, China. To elucidate the transmitted drug resistance(TDR) and acquired drug resistance mutation(ADR) profiles, we collected blood specimens from 127 drug-naive and 117 first-line drugtreated HIV-1-infected individuals sampled from 2014 to 2016 in Suzhou. We successfully amplified po/fragments from 100 drug-naive and 20 drug-treated samples. We then determined the drugresistant mutations to protease(PR) and reverse-transcriptase(RT) inhibitors according to the Stanford drug resistance database. Overall, 11 and 13 individuals had transmitted(drug-naive group) and acquired(treated group) resistance mutations, respectively. Six transmitted drugresistant mutations were found, including two mutations(L33F and L76V) in the protease region and four(K70N/E and V179D/E) in the RT region. Only L76 V was a major mutation, and K70N/E and V179D/E are known to cause low-level resistance to RT inhibitors. All 13 treated participants who had major drug resistance mutations demonstrated intermediate to high resistance to efavirenz and nevirapine, and six had a treatment duration of less than three months. No major mutations to RT inhibitors were found, implying that the epidemic of transmitted resistance mutations was not significant in this area. Our results suggest that more frequent virus load and drug resistance mutation tests should be conducted for individuals receiving antiretroviral treatment, especially for newly treated patients. 5The influence of physiological environment on the targeting effect of aptamer-guided gold nanoparticles显示文摘Aptamer guided nano medicine shows great promise in targeted cancer therapies.However the loss of targeting capacity duri ng in vivo or clinical trials has largely hindered its popularity and there are no systematic studies to elucidate the causes.Herein,we investigated such loss of targeting capacity by examining how the physiological milieu affected targeting effect.Aptamer functionalized gold nanoparticle(AuNP)was chosen as the model and exposed to human blood serum that is used to mimic physiological milieu.Dynamic light scattering(DLS),flow cytometry and label-free liquid chromatography tan dem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS)were employed to determi ne variations of NPs'surface chemistry and biological identities changes after serum exposure.Results showed that the targeting ability loss was caused by protein corona blocking,replacement and enzymatic cleavage of surface aptamer targeting ligands.Noteworthy,the aggregation issue is critical for the smaller NPs.Analysis of the protein corona profile indicated the accumulation of immune-related proteins on the surface of aptamer-conjugated NPs,which could induce immune response,resulting in rapid clearanee of NPs.Ding Ding Yinling Zhang Edward A.Sykes Long Chen Zhuo Chen Weihong Tan 2019Nano Research2019,12,1:2
6Multiple α sub-variants and anisotropic mechanical properties of an additively-manufactured Ti-6Al-4V alloy显示文摘Additive manu facturing(AM)is a promising material processing method which gains significant momentum in the aerospace and biomedical industries.However,the anisotropy in the mechanical properties of additively-manufactured materials is still poorly understood.This study was aimed at elucidating crystallographic feature-anisotropy-mechanical property relationship for a Ti-6Al-4V alloy manufactured via selective electron beam melting(SEBM).Abundantαlamellae with six variants were present inside the columnar prior-βgrains with a<100>fiber texture duringβ→αphase transformation.The sixαvariants followed the Burgers orientation relationship of{110}_(β)//{0001}_(α)and<1-11>_(β)//<11-20>_(α).Multiple sub-variants in eachαvariant were observed for the first time.The anisotropy in the mechanical properties was mainly related to the relative amount of sixαvariants.While the horizontally-oriented samples had a lower yield strength,they exhibited a higher ductility and longer fatigue life than the vertically-oriented samples.Cyclic softening occurred at higher strain amplitudes,and cyclic stabilization sustained at lower strain amplitudes.Fatigue crack mainly initiated from the specimen surface at lower strain amplitudes,while multiple crack initiation tended to occur at higher strain amplitudes.Crack propagation was characterized by fatigue striations along with some secondary cracks.Yinling Zhang Zhuo Chen Shoujiang Qu Aihan Feng Guangbao Mi Jun Shen Xu Huang Daolun Chen 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,11:2

9CeCl_(3)-Promoted Simultaneous Photocatalytic Cleavage and Amination of C_(α)–C_(β)Bond in Lignin Model Compounds and Native Lignin显示文摘It remains challenging to achievevaluableplatformchemicals from lignin because of itscomplicated polymeric structure and inherent inert chemical activities.So far,only a fewexamples have been reported for the selective cleavage of C–C bonds in lignin due to their intrinsic inertness and ubiquity.Here,we present a simple and commercially available cerium(Ⅲ)chloride(CeCl_(3))-promoted photocatalytic depolymerization strategy to realize the simultaneous cleavage and amination ofC_(α)–C_(β)bond in a variety of lignin model compounds at room temperature.This procedure does not require any pretreatments and breakdown of C–O bonds or loss ofγ-CH_(2)OHgroup to generate aldehydes(up to 97%)and N-containing products(up to 95%)in good to excellent yields.Additionally,this CeCl_(3)-based photocatalyst system could maintain excellent catalytic performance even after 10 sequential cycles with newstarting materials.Moreover,this approach realizes the precise control over the reaction via switching the external light stimuli on/off.Further,this method is effective for the depolymerization of real lignin,thus affording the corresponding cleavage and amination products of C_(α)–C_(β)bonds.Yinling Wang Jianghua He Yuetao Zhang 2020CCS Chemistry2020,2,3:1

15Nanozyme Enhanced Colorimetric Immunoassay for Naked-Eye Detection of Salmonella Enteritidis显示文摘Salmonella Enteritidis is a major public health threat of global proportions,while it is still a serious challenge to develop point-of-care detection assay.In this study,nanozymes(Fe-MOF nanoparticles)were successfully synthesized and applied as signal in a colorimetric immunoassay for naked-eye detection of Salmonella Enteritidis.After optimization,the proposed assay was able to detect Salmonella Enteritidis with a detection limit of 34 CFU/mL.The coefficients of variation(CV)of the test were less than 7.0%after 30 days storage at 4°C.The estimated recoveries in milk samples of the colorimetric immu-noassay range from 94.68 to 124%,which indicated the developed method is capable of detecting Salmonella Enteritidis in real samples.This method provides a potential platform for Salmonella detection with naked eyes,which has a significant application value for foodborne pathogen analysis at the point-of-care.Nan Cheng Chengzhou Zhu Yinling Wang Dan Du Mei-Jun Zhu Yunbo Luo Wentao Xu Yuehe Lin 2019Journal of Analysis and Testing2019,3,1:1
