1An improved Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica显示文摘A revised Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica (LIMA) is presented, using the 1073 multi-band scenes of the original Landsat-7 ETM+ LIMA image collection available at the United States Geological Survey (USGS: http://gffzza64998f73d704ee0hup5fkux9pnxf6nvw.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/). Three improvements have been applied during the data processing: (1) DN saturation is adjusted by adopting a linear regression, which has a lower root mean square error than the ratio regression used by LIMA; (2) solar elevation angle is calculated using pixel-level latitude/longitude and the acquisition time and date of the central pixel of the scene, improving slightly upon the bilinear interpolation of the solar elevation angles of scene corners applied in LIMA; and (3) two additional image bands, Band 5 and Band 7, are sharpened using the panchromatic band (Band 8) and a Gram-Schmidt Spectral Sharpening algorithm to more easily distinguish snow, cloud and exposed rocks. The final planetary reflectance product is stored in 16-bit bands to preserve the full radiometric content of the scenes. 8Efficacy and safety of the combination of Liushen capsules and Arbidol in the treatment of COVID-19:protocol for a randomized,multi-center pilot study显示文摘Background:From early experience,some Traditional Chinese Medicine and Arbidol had effects of against COVID-19,infer that the combination of Liushen capsules and Arbidol may further increase the therapeutic.Methods/Design:We conducted a randomized,blank parallel-controlled,open-label,multi-center,basal therapy-loaded design clinical trial.A total of 40 patients are going to be recruited after satisfying the criteria.Participants will be allocated randomly into the treatment group with the combination of Arbidol and Liushen capsules and the control group with the basic therapy.Each group will receive treatment at least 7-days or until the virus becomes negative,and visits after drug administration at day 3(visit 1),the day when the virus becomes negative(visit 2),day 7(visit 3),the day before discharge(visit 4)and day 28(visit 5),to collect their survival status and disease prognosis so that the efficacy and safety of a combination of Arbidol and Liushen capsule will be evaluated.Discussion:We described the protocol of the first clinical trial for treatment COVID-19 by using a combination of Arbidol and Liushen capsules.The results of this study will provide a basis for the design and sample size estimate of subsequent large-scale clinical trials.Trial registration:This study has been registered at Chinese clinical trial Registry(chictr.org.cn):ChiCTR2000029993.Yangqing Zhan Zhengtu Li Jiayang He Shaoqiang Li Ye Lin Jingyi Liang Jie Zhou Yanmei Wu Xuandan Su Feng Ye Zifeng Yang 2020TMR Modern Herbal Medicine2020,3,4:0
9Analytical solutions for plane problem of functionally graded magnetoelectric cantilever beam显示文摘In this paper, an exact analytical solution is presented for a transversely isotropic functionally graded magneto-electro-elastic(FGMEE) cantilever beam, which is subjected to a uniform load on its upper surface, as well as the concentrated force and moment at the free end. This solution can be applied for any form of gradient distribution.For the basic equations of plane problem, all the partial differential equations governing the stress field, electric, and magnetic potentials are derived. Then, the expressions of Airy stress, electric, and magnetic potential functions are assumed as quadratic polynomials of the longitudinal coordinate. Based on all the boundary conditions, the exact expressions of the three functions can be determined. As numerical examples, the material parameters are set as exponential and linear distributions in the thickness direction. 10Creating a semi-opened micro-cavity ovary through sacrificial microspheres as an in vitro model for discovering the potential effect of ovarian toxic agents显示文摘The bio-engineered ovary is an essential technology for treating female infertility.Especially the development of relevant in vitro models could be a critical step in a drug study.Herein,we develop a semi-opened culturing system(SOCS)strategy that maintains a 3D structure of follicles during the culture.Based on the SOCS,we further developed micro-cavity ovary(MCO)with mouse follicles by the microsphere-templated technique,where sacrificial gelatin microspheres were mixed with photo-crosslinkable gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)to engineer a micro-cavity niche for follicle growth.The semi-opened MCO could support the follicle growing to the antral stage,secreting hormones,and ovulating cumulus-oocyte complex out of the MCO without extra manipulation.The MCO-ovulated oocyte exhibits a highly similar transcriptome to the in vivo counterpart(correlation of 0.97)and can be fertilized.Moreover,we found that a high ROS level could affect the cumulus expansion,which may result in anovulation disorder.The damage could be rescued by melatonin,but the end of cumulus expansion was 3h earlier than anticipation,validating that MCO has the potential for investigating ovarian toxic agents in vitro.We provide a novel approach for building an in vitro ovarian model to recapitulate ovarian functions and test chemical toxicity,suggesting it has the potential for clinical research in the future.Min Ye Yiran Shan Bingchuan Lu Hao Luo Binhan Li Yanmei Zhang Zixuan Wang Yuzhi Guo Liliang Ouyang Jin Gu Zhuo Xiong Ting Zhang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,8:0
11Programming the lifestyles of engineered bacteria for cancer therapy显示文摘Bacteria can be genetically engineered to act as therapeutic delivery vehicles in the treatment of tumors,killing cancer cells or activating the immune system.This is known as bacteria-mediated cancer therapy(BMCT).Tumor invasion,colonization and tumor regression are major biological events,which are directly associated with antitumor effects and are uncontrollable due to the influence of tumor microenvironments during the BMCT process.Here,we developed a genetic circuit for dynamically programming bacterial lifestyles(planktonic,biofilm or lysis),to precisely manipulate the process of bacterial adhesion,colonization and drug release in the BMCT process,via hierarchical modulation of the lighting power density of near-infrared(NIR)light.The deep tissue penetration of NIR offers us a modality for spatio-temporal and non-invasive control of bacterial genetic circuits in vivo.By combining computational modeling with a high-throughput characterization device,we optimized the genetic circuits in engineered bacteria to program the process of bacterial lifestyle transitions by altering the illumination scheme of NIR.Our results showed that programming intratumoral bacterial lifestyle transitions allows precise control of multiple key steps throughout the BMCT process and therapeutic efficacy can be greatly improved by controlling the localization and dosage of therapeutic agents via optimizing the illumination scheme.Shengwei Fu Rongrong Zhang Yanmei Gao Jiarui Xiong Ye Li Lu Pu Aiguo Xia Fan Jin 2023National Science Review2023,10,5:0
