GENETIC DIVERSITY AMONG CHINESE SIKA DEER (CERVUS NIPPON) POPULATIONS AND RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN CHINESE AND JAPANESE SIKA DEER显示文摘Sika deer (Cervus nippon) is a cervid endemic to mainland and insular Asia and endan-gered. We analyzed variation in the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) control region for four subspecies to understand the genetic diversity, population structure and evolutionary history in China. 335 bp were se-quenced and eight haplotypes were identified based on 25 variable sites among the populations. Sika deer in China showed lower genetic diversity, sug-gesting a small effective population size due to habi-tat fragmentation, a low number of founder individu-als, or the narrow breeding program. AMOVA analy-sis indicated that there was significant genetic subdi-vision among the four populations, but no correlation between the genetic and geographic distance. Phy-logenetic analyses also revealed that Chinese sika deer may be divided into three genetic clades, but the genetic structure among Chinese populations was inconsistent with subspecies designations and pre-sent geographic distribution. Including the sequence data of Japanese sika deer, the results indicated that Chinese populations were more closely related to Southern Japanese populations than to the Northern Japanese one, and the Taiwan population was closer to populations of Northeastern China and Sichuan than to those of Southern China. | Lü Xiaoping WEI Fuwen LIMing YANG Guang LIU Hai | 2006 | Chinese Science Bulletin2006,51,4: | 7
Design of robust non-fragile H-infinity controllerbased on Delta operator theory显示文摘Considering that the controller parameters are of additive norm-bounded uncertainties when realized,a design method of robust non-fragile H-infinity controller for uncertain system based on Delta operator theory is illustrated in this paper.A sufficient and necessary condition of the existence for the controller is given, which is presented in LMI forms. Finally, the designed method is used in the speed control system of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM).With the designed controller, the resulted speed closed-loop system is still stable and has the expected H- infinity performance even if the sample period is reduced and the parameters of the controller and the controlled object are of variations. The results show that the designed method is effective. | Ruiquan LIN Fuwen YANG Qiugang CHEN | 2007 | 控制理论与应用(英文版)2007,5,4: | 3
Observer-based H-infinity output feedback control with feedback gain and observer gain variations for Delta operator system显示文摘Considering that the controller feedback gain and the observer gain are of additive norm-bounded variations,a design method of observer-based H-infinity output feedback controller for uncertain Delta operator systems is proposed in this paper.A sufficient condition of such controllers is presented in linear matrix inequality(LMI) forms.A numerical example is then given to illustrate the effectiveness of this method, that is,the obtained controller guarantees the closed-loop system asymptotically stable and the expected H-infinity performance even if the controller feedback gain and the observer gain are varied. | Ruiquan LIN Fuwen YANG Renchong PENG | 2009 | 控制理论与应用(英文版)2009,7,2: | 1
Molecular mechanisms of adaptive evolution in wild animals and plants显示文摘Wild animals and plants have developed a variety of adaptive traits driven by adaptive evolution,an important strategy for species survival and persistence.Uncovering the molecular mechanisms of adaptive evolution is the key to understanding species diversification, phenotypic convergence, and inter-species interaction. As the genome sequences of more and more non-model organisms are becoming available, the focus of studies on molecular mechanisms of adaptive evolution has shifted from the candidate gene method to genetic mapping based on genome-wide scanning. In this study,we reviewed the latest research advances in wild animals and plants, focusing on adaptive traits, convergent evolution, and coevolution.Firstly,we focused on the adaptive evolution of morphological, behavioral, and physiological traits.Secondly,we reviewed the phenotypic convergences of life history traits and responding to environmental pressures, and the underlying molecular convergence mechanisms.Thirdly,we summarized the advances of coevolution, including the four main types:mutualism, parasitism, predation and competition.Overall, these latest advances greatly increase our understanding of the underlying molecular mechanisms for diverse adaptive traits and species interaction, demonstrating that the development of evolutionary biology has been greatly accelerated by multi-omics technologies. Finally,we highlighted the emerging trends and future prospects around the above three aspects of adaptive evolution. | Yibo Hu Xiaoping Wang Yongchao Xu Hui Yang Zeyu Tong Ran Tian Shaohua Xu Li Yu Yalong Guo Peng Shi Shuangquan Huang Guang Yang Suhua Shi Fuwen Wei | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,3: | 1

Quantifying landscape linkages among giant panda subpopulations in regional scale conservation显示文摘Understanding habitat requirements and identifying landscape linkages are essential for the survival of isolated populations of endangered species.Currently, some of the giant panda populations are isolated, which threatens their long-term survival, particularly in the Xiaoxiangling mountains. In the present study,we quantified niche requirements and then identified potential linkages of giant panda subpopulations in the most isolated region, using ecological niche factor analysis and a least-cost path model.Giant pandas preferred habitat with conifer forest and gentle slopes(>20 to≤30°).Based on spatial distribution of suitable habitat, linkages were identified for the Yele subpopulation to 4 other subpopulations(Liziping,Matou,Xinmin and Wanba).Their lengths ranged from 15 to 54 km.The accumulated cost ranged from 693 to 3166 and conifer forest covered over 31%.However,a variety of features(e.g.major roads, human settlements and large unforested areas)might act as barriers along the linkages for giant panda dispersal. Our analysis quantified giant panda subpopulation connectivity to ensure long-term survival. | Dunwu QI Yibo HU Xiaodong GU Xuyi YANG Guang YANG Fuwen WEI | 2012 | Integrative Zoology2012,7,2: | 1
