| 1 | Climate and litter C/N ratio constrain soil organic carbon accumulation显示文摘Soil organic carbon(SOC) plays critical roles in stabilizing atmospheric CO2 concentration, but the mechanistic controls on the amount and distribution of SOC on global scales are not well understood. In turn, this has hampered the ability to model global C budgets and to find measures to mitigate climate change. Here, based on the data from a large field survey campaign with 2600 plots across China’s forest ecosystems and a global collection of published data from forested land, we find that a low litter carbon-to-nitrogen ratio(C/N) and high wetness index(P/PET, precipitation-to-potentialevapotranspiration ratio) are the two factors that promote SOC accumulation, with only minor contributions of litter quantity and soil texture. The field survey data demonstrated that high plant diversity decreased litter C/N and thus indirectly promoted SOC accumulation by increasing the litter quality. We conclude that any changes in plant-community composition, plant-species richness and environmental factors that can reduce the litter C/N ratio, or climatic changes that increase wetness index, may promote SOC accumulation. | 4 | Nanostructured amorphous Fe_(29)Co_(27)Ni_(23)Si_(9)B_(12) high-entropy-alloy:an efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Proximal configu ration of dissimilar metal atoms in amorphous high-entropy-alloys(HEAs) always re sult in interatomic d-band ligand effect,dense defect distribution,coordinatively unsaturated sites,high potential energy,and loose atom bonding.Herein,nanostructured amorphous Fe_(29)Co_(27)Ni_(23)Si_(9)B_(12) HEA ribbon is fabricated via a melt spinning method combined with electrochemical corrosion etching process,which is applied as the potential oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalyst.It is found that there are micro/nano pits on the surface of etched amorphous Fe_(29)Co_(27)Ni_(23)Si_(9)B_(12) ribbons.Various elements of HEAs bond with each other to form a highly disordered configu ration,which could result in an optimized bonding energy and enhanced intrinsic catalytic activity.The electrocatalysis activity measurements indicate that the amorphous HEA endows a much higher activity than the crystalline one,which is further improved by the electrochemical etching treatment.Especially,the HEA ribbon etched for 3 h requires a low overpotential of 230 mV to afford 10 mA cm^(-2) current density.In addition,density functional theory calculations demonstrate that the amorphous structure can weaken the interaction between the surface of Fe_(29)Co_(27)Ni_(23)Si_(9)B_(12) alloy and the intermediates,leading to an optimized adsorption Gibbs free energy. | Hongyan Wang Ran Wei Xiumin Li Xuli Ma Xiaogang Hao Guoqing Guan | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,9: | 3 |

| 9 | Application of ionic liquids in CO_(2)capture and electrochemical reduction:A review显示文摘As a new type of green solvent with non-volatility,high thermal stability,high conductivity and various adjustable properties,ionic liquid(IL)has been widely used in the capture and electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)).To date,many studies have been made to investigate CO_(2)capture by using different types of ILs and CO_(2)electrochemical reduction(CO_(2)ER)with ILs as either electrolyte or other catalytic active components.Some structure-activity relationships between the structure and adsorption or catalytic properties of ILs have been found.Herein,the absorption performances and mechanisms of conventional ILs,amino-functionalized ILs,non-amino functionalized ILs and supported ILs for CO_(2)capture,as well as the performances and action mechanisms of ILs as the electrolyte,electrolyte additive,and/or electrode modifier in the process of CO_(2)ER are summarized.Many researches indicate that the unique interaction between the anion or cation of IL and CO_(2)has a significant contribution to promote the absorption and conversion of CO_(2).However,the ILs used for CO_(2)capture and electrochemical reduction should be further explored.Especially,a more in-depth investigation of the adsorption and catalytic mechanisms with the help of quantum chemical calculation,molecular simulation,and in situ characterization techniques is necessary.It is expected to design and develop more efficient ILs used for CO_(2)capture and conversion on a large scale. | Xiaowei An Peifen Wang Xuli Ma Xiao Du Xiaogang Hao Ziyuan Yang Guoqing Guan | 2023 | Carbon Resources Conversion2023,6,2: | 0 |
| 10 | Isolation and characterization of melanin from rapeseed meal显示文摘Melanin involves in various biological functions, widely used in cosmetic, pharmacology medicine and other fields. However, melanin application is limited due to low productivity and high cost. In this work, melanin extraction method from rapeseed meal(RSM) was explored. Effects of hydrochloric acid(HCl) concentration, ethanol concentration, extraction temperature and time, and solid-liquid ratio were evaluated systematically. According to results of single factor experiment and Box-Behnken experiment, the optimum extraction conditions of melanin from RSM were as follows: HCl concentration, 0.5 mol/L; ethanol concentration, 70%; extraction temperature, 40 o C; extraction time, 1 h; solid liquid ratio, 1/4 g/mL. Under these conditions, extraction yields of crude melanin(CM) and purified melanin(PM) were 9.00% and 1.44%, respectively. Compared with synthetic melanin(SM) from Sigma, the relative purities of CM and PM were 7.82% and 29.57%, respectively. | 11 | Plant community and soil properties drive arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal diversity:A case study in tropical forests显示文摘The mutual interdependence of plants and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)is important in carbon and mineral nutrient exchange.However,an understanding of how AMF community assemblies vary in different forests and the underlying factors regulating AMF diversity in native tropical forests is largely unknown.We explored the AMF community assembly and the underlying factors regulating AMF diversity in a young(YF)and an old-growth forest(OF)in a tropical area.The results showed that a total of 53 AMF phylogroups(virtual taxa,VTs)were detected,38±1 in the OF and 34±1 in the YF through high-throughput sequencing of 18S rDNA,and AMF community composition was significantly different between the two forests.A structural equation model showed that the forest traits indirectly influenced AMF diversity via the plant community,soil properties and microbes,which explained 44.2%of the total observed variation in AMF diversity.Plant diversity and biomass were the strongest predictors of AMF diversity,indicating that AMF diversity was dominantly regulated by biotic factors at our study sites.Our study indicated that forest community traits have a predictable effect on the AMF community;plant community traits and soil properties are particularly important for determining AMF diversity in tropical forests. | Jing Zhang Changxin Quan Lingling Ma Guowei Chu Zhanfeng Liu Xuli Tang | 2021 | Soil Ecology Letters2021,3,1: | 0 |

| 13 | Improved spatio-SNR FGS video coding scheme using motion compensation on enhancement-layer显示文摘MPEG-4 fine-granularity-scalable (FGS) technology is an effective solution to resolve the network bandwidth varying because FGS provides very fine granular SNR scalability. However, this scalability is obtained with sacrifice of coding efficiency. An one-loop FGS structure is presented based on motion compensation (MC+FGS) to improve the coding efficiency of base FGS. Then it describes and discusses the hybrid spatial-SNR FGS (FGSS) structure that extends SNR scalability of FGS to spatial scalability (spatio-SNR scalability). FGSS structure inherent the low coding efficiency of FGS structure. Combining MC+FGS structure with FGSS structure, a structure of MC+FGSS structure is obtained which acquires both structures’ advantages and counteracts both structures’ defects.
