1Relative Contributions of Boundary-Layer Meteorological Factors to the Explosive Growth of PM2.5 during the Red-Alert Heavy Pollution Episodes in Beijing in December 2016显示文摘Based on observations of urban mass concentration of fine particulate matter smaller than 2.5 μm in diameter(PM_(2.5)), ground meteorological data, vertical measurements of winds, temperature, and relative humidity(RH), and ECMWF reanalysis data, the major changes in the vertical structures of meteorological factors in the boundary layer(BL) during the heavy aerosol pollution episodes(HPEs) that occurred in winter 2016 in the urban Beijing area were analyzed. The HPEs are divided into two stages: the transport of pollutants under prevailing southerly winds, known as the transport stage(TS), and the PM_(2.5) explosive growth and pollution accumulation period characterized by a temperature inversion with low winds and high RH in the lower BL, known as the cumulative stage(CS). During the TS, a surface high lies south of Beijing, and pollutants are transported northwards. During the CS, a stable BL forms and is characterized by weak winds, temperature inversion, and moisture accumulation. Stable atmospheric stratification featured with light/calm winds and accumulated moisture(RH > 80%) below 250 m at the beginning of the CS is closely associated with the inversion, which is strengthened by the considerable decrease in near-surface air temperature due to the interaction between aerosols and radiation after the aerosol pollution occurs. A significant increase in the PLAM(Parameter Linking Aerosol Pollution and Meteorological Elements) index is found, which is linearly related to PM mass change. During the first 10 h of the CS, the more stable BL contributes approximately 84% of the explosive growth of PM_(2.5) mass. Additional accumulated near-surface moisture caused by the ground temperature decrease, weak turbulent diffusion, low BL height, and inhibited vertical mixing of water vapor is conducive to the secondary aerosol formation through chemical reactions, including liquid phase and heterogeneous reactions, which further increases the PM_(2.5) concentration levels. 2Aerosol Hygroscopicity during the Haze Red-Alert Period in December 2016 at a Rural Site of the North China Plain显示文摘A humidification system was deployed to measure aerosol hygroscopicity at a rural site of the North China Plain during the haze red-alert period 17–22 December 2016. The aerosol scattering coefficients under dry [relative humidity(RH) < 30%] and wet(RH in the range of 40%–85%) conditions were simultaneously measured at wavelengths of450, 550, and 700 nm. It is found that the aerosol scattering coefficient and backscattering coefficient increased by only 29% and 10%, respectively when RH went up from 40% to 80%, while the hemispheric backscatter fraction went down by 14%, implying that the aerosol hygroscopicity represented by the aerosol scattering enhancement factor f(RH) is relatively low and RH exerted little effects on the aerosol light scattering in this case. The scattering enhancement factors do not show significant differences at the three wavelengths, only with an approximate 2% variation, suggesting that the aerosol hygroscopicity is independent of the wavelength. Aerosol hygroscopicity is highly dependent on the aerosol chemical composition. When there is a large mass fraction of inorganics and a small mass fraction of organic matter, f(RH) reaches a high value. 4Development of DArT markers for a linkage map of flue-cured tobacco显示文摘Tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum) is one of the most economically important nonfood crops,and flue-cured tobacco accounts for approximately 80% of world tobacco production.An extremely narrow genetic diversity in the tobacco pool has led to a low efficiency of PCR-based molecular markers(such as AFLP and SSR).Diversity Arrays Technology(DArT) is a high-throughput hybridisation-based marker system that has been developed in many plants including wheat,which,like tobacco,has a complex genome.In this study,we developed a tobacco DArT chip that included 7680 representative sequence tags based on typical tobacco accessions.The 1076 DArT markers of flue-cured tobacco were identified and most(82.1%) of their polymorphism information contents(PICs) were greater than 0.4.An integrated linkage map that included 851 markers(238 DArT and 613 SSR),which is the highest density map of flue-cured tobacco to date,was constructed.This chip-based DArT system provides an alternative in high-throughput marker genotyping for tobacco.LU XiuPing GUI YiJie XIAO BingGuang LI YongPing TONG ZhiJun LIU Yun BAI XueFei WU WeiRen XIA Ling HUTTNER Eric KILIAN Adrzej FAN LongJiang 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,6:4

7Comparison of Submicron Particles at a Rural and an Urban Site in the North China Plain during the December 2016 Heavy Pollution Episodes显示文摘An extensive field experiment for measurement of physical and chemical properties of aerosols was conducted at an urban site in the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS) in Beijing and at a rural site in Gucheng(GC), Hebei Province in December 2016. This paper compares the number size distribution of submicron particle matter(PM1, diameter < 1 μm) between the two sites. The results show that the mean PM1 number concentration at GC was twice that at CAMS, and the mass concentration was three times the amount at CAMS. It is found that the accumulation mode(100–850 nm) particles constituted the largest fraction of PM1 at GC, which was significantly correlated with the local coal combustion, as confirmed by a significant relationship between the accumulation mode and the absorption coefficient of soot particles. The high PM1 concentration at GC prevented the occurrence of new particle formation(NPF) events, while eight such events were observed at CAMS. During the NPF events, the mass fraction of sulfate increased significantly, indicating that sulfate played an important role in NPF. The contribution of regional transport to PM1 mass concentration was approximately 50% at both sites, same as that of the local emission. 8Vitellogenic responses of male Chinese loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) exposed to the individual or binary mixtures of 17β-estradiol and nonylphenol显示文摘Male Chinese loaches were exposed to 17β-estradiol (E2) and nonylphenol (NP) both singly and in combination for 42 days using semi-static waterborne exposure system. Plasma vitellogenin (Vtg) was chosen as determining endpoint. The results demonstrated that 0.5 μg/L E2 could induce the enhancement of Vtg contents in male Chinese loaches after exposure for 21 days, which showed a time-related increasing manner; NP was also estrogenic to male Chinese loach, and the vitellogenic responses showed in a time-and dose-related manner, which was less potent than that of E2. 10Response of peptide intensity to concentration in ESI–MS-based proteome显示文摘High-throughput quantification with label-free methods has received considerable attention in electrospray ionization(ESI)-mass spectrometry(MS),but the manner by which MS signals respond to peptide concentration remains unclear in proteomics.We developed a new mathematical formula to describe the intrinsic log-log relationship between the MS intensity response and peptide concentration in an analytical ESI process.Experimental results showed that the calibration curve is fairly fit to the log-log formula with a linear dynamic range of approximate four to five orders of magnitude.However,we found that the ionization of analytical peptides can be severely suppressed by coexisting matrix peptides,such that the calibration curve can be poorly leveled off on both ends.Our study suggests that the interferences from coexisting matrix peptides should be reduced in the ESI process to use the log-log calibration curve successfully for the high-throughput quantification.LU WenYuan YIN XueFei LIU XiaoHui YAN GuoQuan YANG PengYuan 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,5:1
11Ultrathin Ni/V-layered double hydroxide nanosheets for efficient visible-light-driven photocatalytic nitrogen reduction to ammonia显示文摘Ammonia is important for industrial development and human life.The traditional Haber Bosch method converts nitrogen into ammonia gas at high temperatures and pressures,causing serious pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.These problems prompt the nitrogen fixation method to proceed in a sustainable way.Ultrathin Ni/V-layered double hydroxides(Ni/V-LDHs)nanosheets with different proportions were prepared successfully for photocatalystic reduction of nitrogen to ammonia,through aqueous miscible organic solvent method(AMO)to achieve the higher surface area and rich oxygen vacancies,containing more carriers and active sites to enhance nitrogen reduction.And the optimal catalyst of Ni/V-LDHs 11 AMO possesses the highest photocatalytic efficiency(176μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1)),indicating its potential application prospects in catalyst fields.Consequently,this work achieves an environmentally friendly,low-cost and efficient conversion method for nitrogen reduction to ammonia through solar energy.Xuefei Liu Yanmei Li Junzheng Zhang Jun Lu 2021Nano Research2021,14,10:1
12Anthropogenic monoterpenes aggravating ozone pollution显示文摘Monoterpenes have been known to have a critical influence on air quality and climate change through their impact on the formation of fine particles.Here we present field evidence that monoterpene oxidations largely enhanced local ozone production in a regional site in eastern China.The observed monoterpene was most likely from biomass burning rather than biogenic emissions,as indicated by the high correlation with CO at night-time,and the observed ratio of these two species was consistent with previously determined values from biomass burning experiments.Fast monoterpene oxidations were determined experimentally based on direct radical measurements,leading to a daily ozone enhancement of 4-18 parts per billion by volume(ppb),which was 6%-16%of the total ozone production,depending on the speciation of monoterpenes.It demonstrates that the previously overlo oked anthropogenic monoterpenes make an important contribution to 0_(3) production in eastern China.The role could possibly be important at similar locations across China and other parts of the world that are characterized by massive emissions,especially where there are high NO_(x) levels.Our results highlight that anthropogenic monoterpenes should be taken into account when proceeding with the coordinated mitigation of O_(3) and particulate matter pollution.Haichao Wang Xuefei Ma Zhaofeng Tan Hongli Wang Xiaorui Chen Shiyi Chen Yaqin Gao Ying Liu Yuhan Liu Xinping Yang Bin Yuan Limin Zeng Cheng Huang Keding Lu Yuanhang Zhang 2022National Science Review2022,9,9:1

14细根与根系总质量比的相似性导致了共存的本土植物和入侵植物之间植物-土壤反馈的对比显示文摘土壤生物通过植物-土壤的反馈作用调控植物间相互作用和外来植物入侵。因此,探明植物-土壤反馈作用种间差异的形成原因,对于预测土壤生物在植物入侵过程中的作用具有重要价值。近期的研究发现,植物性状可以用于预测植物-土壤反馈作用。同时,研究发现植物入侵也与植物的一些性状相关联,暗示植物-土壤反馈作用通过植物性状与外来植物入侵之间存在关联,但尚缺乏实验证明。鉴于此,本研究选取了3对近缘入侵和本土植物为对象,比较了其植物-土壤反馈作用,探讨了植物-土壤反馈作用与植物根部性状的关联性。首先,通过种植实验植物3个月,驯化采自于田间的土壤。之后,将实验植物种植于对照和灭菌处理的同种或近缘(同科或同属)种驯化过的土壤中,评价同种或近缘种根际土壤生物对植物生长的净反馈作用(与灭菌土比较),并比较了两类土壤生物对植物的反馈作用。总体而言,同种或近缘种根际土壤生物对入侵与本土植物的净反馈作用无显著差异,两类土壤生物对入侵和本土植物的反馈作用亦无显著差异。土壤反馈作用的强度和种植于对照土壤中植物细根生物量比存在正相关关系,且入侵与本土植物细根生物量比无显著差异。这一发现表明:相似的细根生物量比可能是导致入侵与本土植物间土壤反馈作用无差异的一个重要原因。为提升人们对土壤生物在植物入侵过程中作用的认识,亟需选取更多入侵与本土植物(尤其是亲缘关系较远的物种)开展实验研究,进一步探明植物性状、土壤反馈作用和外来植物入侵之间的关联性。Xuefei Tang Chunqiang Wei Lunlun Gao Bingbing Jia Xinmin Lu 2021Journal of Plant Ecology2021,14,1:0
15High-entropy layered oxides nanosheets for highly efficient photoelectrocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)and application research显示文摘High-entropy oxides receive significant attention owing to their“four effects”.However,they still suffer from harsh construction conditions such as high temperature and high pressure and present a block-like structure.Herein,in this work,Ni-Mn-Cu-Co-Fe-Al high-entropy layered oxides(HELOs)with a layered nanosheet structure were constructed by a simple pathway of topological transformation under relatively low temperature(300℃)with six-membered Ni-Mn-Cu-Co-Fe-Al layered double hydroxides(LDHs)precursors,which exhibited an outstanding activity and excellent selectivity for CO_(2)photoelectroreduction(obtaining the highest carbon monoxide yield of 909.55μmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1)under−0.8 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),which is almost twice that of pure electrocatalysis).In addition,the charging voltage of a photo-assisted Zn-CO_(2)battery with HELOs as electrode was reduced from 2.62 to 2.40 V;the discharging voltage of the battery was increased from 0.51 to 0.59 V with the assistance of illumination.The improvement of round-trip efficiency of the battery indicates that light played a positive role in both the charging and discharging processes.This study not only lays an important foundation for the development of high-entropy oxides but also expands their application in the field of photoelectrochemistry.Xuefei Liu Xiaoyan Wang Beibei Yang Junzheng Zhang Jun Lu 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0
16Aptamer-Based Fluorescent Assay for Sensitive Detection of Cardiac Troponin Ⅰ显示文摘Acute myocardial infarction(AMI)is a major health problem leading to high rates of mortality and morbidity.Biomarker cardiac troponin I(cTnI)has shown high sensitivity and specificity towards AMI detection,and has been regarded as'gold standard'.An ultrasensitive method to detectcTnI with low concentration in human fluid is essential.In this paper,we developed an aptamer-based assay coupled with rolling circle amplification(RCA)and molecular beacon probe for sensitive detection ofcTnI.In this strategy,aptamer acts as a bridge to communicate between oligonucleotides andcTnI.RCA reaction produces a single-stranded tandem repeated copy of the circular template,which are recognized by fluorescence molecular beacon probe.With this strategy,highly sensitive and specific detection of cTnI was realized with the lowest detectable concentration of 7.24 pg/m L.The developed aptamer-RCA assay can be a promising tool in clinical samples analysis.The assay can also analyze other disease-related biomarkers by replacing the aptamer.Yu Li Yuanzhan Yang Xuefei Lu Yulin Deng 2020Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2020,29,1:0
17Geometric morphometric study of the skull shape diversification in Sciuridae(Mammalia,Rodentia)显示文摘It is generally accepted that the high phenotypic diversity of mammals is a combined result of developmental constraint and ecological adaptation, although the influence of these endogenous and exogenous factors varies in different mammal groups. The rodent family Sciuridae represents an ideal candidate for examining phenotyp­ic diversity in relation to phylogeny and ecological adaptations. In the present study, we investigate the effects of phylogeny and lifestyle on the skull shape in different species of Sciuridae by applying geometric morpho­metric methods. In addition, we investigate the importance of allometry on sciurid skull shape, because results from geometric morphometrics sometimes dispute those of traditional morphometry. Here, we identify signif­icant associations between patristic distances obtained from molecular phylogeny and shape distances in all 3 views of the cranium and the lateral view of the mandible. Multivariate regression demonstrates that shape dif­ferences among lifestyle categories are substantial, especially in the dorsal and ventral structures after the in­fluence of phylogeny is taken into account. Allometry plays an important role in the shape variation, although its importance on different skull structures varies. 18Preparation and evaluation of an enzymatic microreactor based on HILIC matrix for digestion and identification of proteins显示文摘In the present study,a new enzymatic microreactor is developed by immobilizing trypsin on the matrix-HILIC (hydrophilic interaction chromatography).The influences of different types of buffer solutions (borate,Tris·HCl,and phosphate),their concentrations and pH values on the immobilizing rate and the activity of immobilized trypsin were investigated.The optimal condition for off-line immobilization of trypsin on matix-HILIC was Tris·HCl buffer (20 mmol/L,pH 8.0),and then,under the optimal condition,an enzymatic microreactor was prepared by trypsin dynamically immobilized on HILIC matrix which was packed in a Peeksil column.It can be found that the microreactor possessed high hydrolytic activity according to the hydrolysis results of N-α-benzoyl-DL-arginine P-nitroanilide (BAPNA),a substrate of trypsin.Moreover,bovine serum albumin (BSA),cytochrome C and myoglobin as standard proteins were chosen to characterize the enzymolysis of the microreactor demonstrating the high enzymolysis efficiency by this enzymatic microreactor.Besides,the deactivated trypsin can be easily eluted from the matrix-HILIC to re-immobilize trysin,which is highly cost-effective in the experiment.All the results show that the new enzymatic microreactor associated with HPLC-MS techniques can realize online enzymolysis of proteins,and the time to analyze and identify the proteins is greatly shortened.WANG ShanShan LI Qin LU XueFei LIU Tong ZHANG WeiBo GENG LiNa DENG YuLin 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,10:0
19Photoexcited singlet enhanced oxygen reduction reaction with high selectivity on the photosensitizer/layered double hydroxides nanocomposite显示文摘Oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)plays a pivotal role in advanced electrochemical energy conversion devices.However,the ORR conversion efficiency is extremely limited.The major obstacles originate from the adsorption and activation of O_(2)on the electrode surface.A novel nanocomposite catalyst,photosensitizers(PS)meso-tetraphenylporphyrin iron(III)chloride(FePcCl)/NiCoFe-layered double hydroxides(NiCoFe-LDHs)is designed in this study.Herein,owing to excellent oxygen molecules activation ability and remarkable illumination absorption feature,FePcCl/NiCoFe-LDHs is employed to uncover the relationship between the intrinsic ORR activity and PS behaviour.Interestingly,the reaction mechanism of singlet 1O_(2)is proposed owing to the combination of electrochemical ORR catalysed via LDHs and PS.The boosted cathodic ORR properties exhibit singlet 1O_(2)dependent response arising from the synergistic effect to selectively produce active intermediates in alkaline medium.This work imparts the promising new mechanism about the high 4-electron ORR selectivity via material design,which will guide the development of photo-assisted energy conversion devices.Beibei Yang Sheng Tao Xuefei Liu Jun Lu 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0
20Field measurement of the organic peroxy radicals by the low-pressure reactor plus laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy显示文摘A low-pressure reactor(LPR) was developed for the measurement of ambient organic peroxy(RO2)radicals with the use of the laser-induced fluorescence(LIF) instrument.The reactor converts all the RO_(x)(=RO2+HO2+RO+OH) radicals into HO2 radicals.It can conduct different measurement modes through altering the reagent gases,achieving the speciated measurement of RO2 and RO2^#(RO2 radicals derived from the long-chain alkane,alkene and aromatic hydrocarbon).An example of field measurement results was given,with a maximum concentration of 1.88 × 10^(8) molecule/cm^(3) for RO2 and 1.18×10^(8) molecule/cm^(3) for RO2^(#).Also,this instrument quantifies the local ozone production rates directly,which can help to deduce the regional ozone control strategy from an experimental perspective.The new device can se rve as a potent tool for both the explo ration of frontier chemistry and the diagnosis of the control strategies.Shule Li Keding Lu Xuefei Ma Xinping Yang Shiyi Chen Yuanhang Zhang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:0
