1Evidence of multistage late Quaternary strong earthquakes on typical segments of Longmenshan Active Fault Zone in Sichuan, China显示文摘Investigation of offset landforms and trench excavation are important means to acquire the evidence of multistage activities of active faults. Here we present the result of fault trough investigation in Beichuan County and the Pingtong Town of Pingwu County along the Longmenshan Central Fault Belt, as well as the result from trench excavation at the platform foreslope in Hanwang Town of Mianzhu County on the Longmenshan Front Range Fault Belt. These results show that at least three fault activity events, including the Wenchuan earthquake, occurred in the Beichuan fault trough, at least two, including the Wenchuan earthquake, at Pingtong fault trough, and 2-3 paleoearthquakes in the Hanwang trench. Among these three localities, the times of the last strong earthquake prior to Wenchuan earthquake at Beichuan fault trough and Hanwang trench are close, approximately 6000 years ago, i.e., greater than 5.8 ka and smaller than 6.63 ka ago. 3Development Paths of Characteristic Towns in Underdeveloped Areas in Central China——A Case Study of Yichun,Jiangxi显示文摘The demonstration effect triggered by the construction of Zhejiang's characteristic towns has attracted attention and learning from all over the country,and has set off a boom in building characteristic towns across the country. Under the dual constraints of industrial development and resource intensive use,the undeveloped areas of central China must find suitable development paths for characteristic towns. Taking Yichun City as an example,this article analyzes the advantages of Yichun City for developing characteristic towns combining its natural and economic conditions. 5Sharp bounds for spectral radius of nonnegative weakly irreducible tensors显示文摘We obtain the sharp upper and lower bounds for the spectral radius of a nonnegative weakly irreducible tensor.By using the technique of the representation associate matrix of a tensor and the associate directed graph of the matrix,the equality cases of the bounds are completely characterized by graph theory methods.Applying these bounds to a nonnegative irreducible matrix or a connected graph(digraph),we can improve the results of L.H.You,Y.J.Shu,and P.Z.Yuan[Linear Multilinear Algebra,2017,65(1):113-128],and obtain some new or known results.Applying these bounds to a uniform hypergraph,we obtain some new results and improve some known results of X.Y.Yuan,M.Zhang,and M.Lu[Linear Algebra Appl.,2015,484:540-549].Finally,we give a characterization of a strongly connected/c-uniform directed hypergraph,and obtain some new results by applying these bounds to a uniform directed hypergraph.Lihua YOU Xiaohua HUANG Xiying YUAN 2019Frontiers of Mathematics in China2019,14,5:1
6Study on Mechanism of Explosive Spalling of ULC Castables During Rapid Drying显示文摘Inner vapor pressure and temperature of vulnerable explosive spalling positions in refractory castables during rapid drying were measured by embedding pressure transmitting pipes and thermocouples during casting. The measured vapor pressure, temperature, and tensile strength of the castables were analyzed and discussed. A hollow sphere shell model was used to analyze the stress induced by the vapor pressure based on the structure of refractory castables. The mechanism of refractory castables explosive spalling caused by vapor-induced pore split was proposed. 7Discussion on the Problems and Path of Characteristic Town Construction in Underdeveloped, Resource-Based Cities: A Case Study of Ganzhou City显示文摘Characteristic towns as a characteristic industry are one of the important measures of China's new urbanization strategy. The construction of characteristic towns in different regions needs to pay attention to regional differentiation. At present, the research on characteristic towns focuses on the developed the developed central and eastern regions. There are still few studies on characteristics towns in underdeveloped areas. 8Manufacturing N,O-carboxymethyl chitosan-reduced graphene oxide under freeze-dying for performance improvement of Li-S battery显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries can provide far higher energy density than currently commercialized lithium ion batteries, but challenges remain before it they are used in practice.One of the challenges is the shuttle effect that originates from soluble intermediates, like lithium polysulfides. To address this issue, we report a novel laminar composite, N,O-carboxymethyl chitosan-reduced graphene oxide(CC-rGO), which is manufactured via the self-assembly of CC onto GO and subsequent reduction of GO under an extreme condition of 1 Pa and-50°C. The synthesized laminar CC-rGO composite is mixed with acetylene black(AB) and coated on a commercial polypropylene(PP) membrane, resulting in a separator(CC-rGO/AB/PP) that can not only completely suppress the polysulfides penetration, but also can accelerate the lithium ion transportation, providing a Li-S battery with excellent cyclic stability and rate capability.
