1Lichong decoction reduces Matrix Metalloproteinases-2 expression but increases Tissue Inhibitors of Matrix Metalloproteinases-2 ex-pression in a rat model of uterine leiomyoma显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of Lichong decoction(LD) on expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) and metalloproteinase-2(TIMP-2) in a rat model of uterine leiomyoma(UL).METHODS:UL was induced in rats using exogenous estrogen and progesterone.LD was administered(p.o.) for 4 weeks,and mifepristone(RU-486)used as a control.To observe the effect of LD on the uterine coefficient and uterine transverse diameter,a radioimmunoassay method was used to detect serum levels of sex hormones.Light microscopic analyses of pathologic changes in the tissues of UL rats were evaluated.Expression of the proteins of matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases(TIMPs) in uterine tissues was assessed by immunohistochemical staining and western blotting.RESULTS:A UL model in rats was established successfully.LD reduced uterine weight,uterine coefficient,and uterine transverse diameter compared with untreated controls.LD reduced levels of estradiol,progesterone,follicle-stimulating hormone,and luteinizing hormone in our UL models.LD improved the pathologic condition of uterine muscle.Expression of MMP-2 protein decreased to varying extents in LD-treated groups,but TIMP-2 levels were enhanced.LD appears to reduce MMP-2 expression and increase TIMP-2 expression in UL tissue.CONCLUSION:These data suggest that the mechanism of action of LD on ULs may involve reduction of MMP-2 expression and increase in TIMP-2 expression in rats.Wang Yasong Li Donghua Xu Xin Qian Ruiya Zhang Yalan Huang Yuhua Geng Jianguo Zou Xiaoli Han Hon-gjuan Zhang Wufang 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4:12
2Lichong decoction inhibits micro-angiogenesis by reducing the expressions of hypoxia inducible factor-1αand vascular endothelial growth factor in hysteromyoma mouse model显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of Lichong decoction(LD)from Traditional Chinese Medicine,on micro-angiogenesis in a mouse model of hysteromyoma.METHODS:A mouse model of hysteromyoma was developed by orthotopic intrauterine injection of primary human myoma cells isolated from patients from the Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital into CB-17 Scid mice.Mice were administered high-dose LD,low-dose LD,mifepristone or water(control)daily by gavage for 4 weeks.Uterine diameter and coefficient(uterine weight/body weight)were measured.Uterine morphology was assessed by light microscopy(hematoxylin and eosin)and transmission electron microscopy.Serum levels of estradiol,progesterone,follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone(LH)were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Uterine protein expression of hypoxia inducible factor(HIF)-1α,CD31 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)was detected by immunohistochemistry.VEGF and HIF-1αm RNAs were quantified by RT-PCR.RESULTS:High-dose LD,low-dose LD and mifepristone reduced uterine diameter and coefficient,and attenuated the morphologic abnormalities associated with hysteromyoma.High-dose LD,low-dose LD and mifepristone inhibited hysteromyoma-induced micro-angiogenesis,as evidenced by a decrease in the number of new microvessels co-immunostaining for CD31 and PCNA(P<0.01).High-dose LD and mifepristone lowered serum levels of estradiol,progesterone and LH(P<0.05).High-dose LD,low-dose LD and mifepristone down-regulated HIF-1αm RNA and protein expressions and VEGF m RNA expression(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:The inhibition of hysteromyoma by LD may involve reductions in HIF-1αand VEGF expression and suppression of micro-angiogenesis.Wang Wenna Zhang Wufang Li Donghua Qian Ruiya Zhu Lijuan Liu Yu Chen Chao 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:6
3Community-Based Management and Treatment Services for Psychosis-China, 2019显示文摘Introduction:Community-based services for psychosis are an important part of mental health services in China.We analyzed community-based follow-up and treatment services for psychosis in China in 2019 to provide evidence for policymaking and services delivering.Methods:Data from the National Information System for Psychosis were used to analyze usage of the information system and the registration,management,and treatment situation of patients with psychosis in China in 2019 and compared the results of 2019 with that of 2018.Results:In 2019,100%of cities and counties used the information system and 6,230,157 patients were registered.In 2019,there were 5,944,724 registered patients(94.05%)in China under community-based follow-up services and 5,375,252 patients(85.04%)had regular follow-ups;5,295,657 patients(83.78%)were treated by taking antipsychotics and 3,354,251(53.07%)patients took medication regularly;4,974,314 patients at home(87.81%)were in stable condition;and there was a significant difference in patients’stable condition and medication-taking rates among eastern,central,and western regions(p<0.05).Compared with 2018,the nationwide regular management rate,medication-taking rate,regular medication-taking rate,and patients’stable rate increased by 2.35%,2.48%,11.29%,and 7.21%respectively.Conclusions and Implications for Public Health Practice:Compared with 2018,the level of management and treatment improved significantly but still needs to be further strengthened,especially in western China.Miaomiao Zhao Ning Ma Xun Wang Xiamin Wu Wufang Zhang Runzi Chen Yulu Wang Lili Guan Hong Ma Xin Yu Lin Lu 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,41:3

10Studies of Active Ingredients in Cough Syrup by Capillary Zone Electrophoresis with Amperometric Detection显示文摘The present paper covers a simple, reliable and reproducible method, based on capillary zone electrophoresis(CZE) with amperometric detection(AD), for the separation and the determination of ephedrine hydrochloride, promethazine hydrochloride and codeine phosphate. Under the optimal conditions, the three analytes were base-line separated completely within 16 min. Good linear relationships between the peak heights and the concentrations of the three analytes were obtained with the correlation coefficients better than 0 9993. 11Lignin composite ionic liquid lubricants with excellent anti-corrosion,anti-oxidation,and tribological properties显示文摘A new type of lubricating material(BTA-P_(4444)-Lig)was synthesized by combining lignin with tetrabutylphosphorus and benzotriazole.The tribological properties,corrosion resistance,and anti-oxidation properties of BTA-P_(4444)-Lig as a lubricant were investigated.The lubricating material exhibits excellent friction reduction and wear resistance,as well as good thermal stability and excellent oxidation resistance.Mechanistic analysis reveals that the active elements N and P in the lubricating material react with the metal substrate,and the reaction film effectively blocks direct contact between the friction pairs,affording excellent friction reduction and wear resistance.At the same time,the phenolic hydroxyl group in lignin reacts with oxygen free radicals to form a resonance-stable semi-quinone free radical,which interrupts the chain reaction and affords good anti-oxidant activity.Chaoyang ZHANG Zhiquan YANG Qing HUANG Xingwei WANG Wufang YANG Chunyu ZHOU Bo YU Qiangliang YU Meirong CAI Feng ZHOU 2023Friction2023,11,7:0

13Interfacial mechanism of hydrogel with controllable thickness for stable drag reduction显示文摘Surface wettability plays a significant role in reducing solid–liquid frictional resistance,especially the superhydrophilic/hydrophilic interface because of its excellent thermodynamic stability.In this work,poly(acrylic acid)-poly(acrylamide)(PAA–PAM)hydrogel coatings with different thicknesses were prepared in situ by polydopamine(PDA)-UV assisted surface catalytically initiated radical polymerization.Fluid drag reduction performance of hydrogel surface was measured using a rotational rheometer by the plate–plate mode.The experimental results showed that the average drag reduction of hydrogel surface could reach up to about 56%in Couette flow,which was mainly due to the interfacial polymerization phenomenon that enhanced the ability of hydration layer to delay the momentum dissipation between fluid layers and the diffusion behavior of surface.The proposed drag reduction mechanism of hydrogel surface was expected to shed new light on hydrogel–liquid interface interaction and provide a new way for the development of steady-state drag reduction methods.Xiaotong WU Ying LIU Yunlei ZHANG Xingwei WANG Wufang YANG Lang JIANG Shuanhong MA Meirong CAI Feng ZHOU 2024Friction2024,12,2:0
14Which Are More Random:Coding or Noncoding DNA Sequences?显示文摘Evidence seems to show that coding DNA is more random than noncoding DNA, but other conflictingevidence also exists. Based on the third-base degeneracy of codons, we regard the third position of codons as a 'noisy'position. By deleting one fixed position of non-overlapping triplets in a given sequence, three masked sequences may bededuced from the sequence. We have investigated the block-to-site mutual information functions of coding and noncodingsequences in yeast without and with the masking. Characteristics that distinguish coding from noncoding DNA havebeen found. It is observed that the strong correlations in the coding regions may be blocked by the third base of codons,and the proper masking can extract the correlations.
