1An Efficient Constructive Heuristic for Permutation Flow Shops to Minimize Total Flowtime显示文摘In this paper, FFC (Fast fiowtime-computing) is presented for fiowtime computing in flow shops. The CPU-time of an algorithm for flow shops can be reduced considerably by replacing classical flowtime computing with FFC based on the facts that FFC is faster than the classical one and that flowtime computing of schedules/partial schedules is the main computational burden of most algorithms for flow shops. This is illustrated by modifying RZ, one of the three best existing heuristics(FL, WY and RZ) for flowtime minimization, with FFC in which about half of the CPU-time is saved. An efficient constructive heuristic is proposed for permutation flow shops with flowtime minimization, of which the CPU-time is more than that of RZ but much less than those of FL and WY. Our proposal is compared with FL, WYand RZ in terms of ARPD (Average relative percentage deviation), STD (Standard deviation) and BEST (number of best solutions obtained for a given size of problems). Computational results show that the proposed heuristic outperforms WY and RZ, and also outperforms FL when job-machine ratio is small. 2Scheduling Algorithm for Complex Product Development显示文摘This paper describes the Complex product development project scheduling problem (CPDPSP) with a great number of activities, complicated resource, precedence and calendar constraints. By the conversion of precedence constraint relations, the CPDPSP is simplified. Then, according to the predictive control principle, we propose a new scheduling algorithm Based on prediction (BoP-procedure). In order to get the problem characteristics coming from resource status and precedence constraints of the scheduling problem at the scheduling time, a sub-project is constructed on the basis of a sub-AoN (Activity on node) graph of the project. Then, we use the modified GDH-procedure to solve the sub-project scheduling problem and to obtain the maximum feasible active subset for determining the activity group which satisfies resource, precedence and calendar constraints and has the highest scheduling priority at the scheduling time. Additionaily, we make a great number of numerical computations and compare the performance of BoP-procedure algorithm with those of other scheduling algorithms. Computation results show that the BoP-procedure algorithm is more suitable for the CPDPSP. 3Runoff and nutrient losses in alfalfa(Medicago sativa L)production with tied-ridge-furrow rainwater harvesting on sloping land显示文摘Ridge-furrow rainwater harvesting(RFRH)is known to be effective in controlling water loss and soil erosion,and increasing soil moisture and crop yield in semiarid regions.However,it can cause water-logging,ridge overtopping,and harvest failure if not properly designed.A four consecutive-year field trial was carried out to assess the impacts of various slope gradients and tillage practices on soil moisture,runoff,sediment yield,associated soil nutrient losses,fodder yield,and water use efficiency(WUE)of alfalfa in the Loess Plateau,China.The trial adopted a split-plot design,taking slope gradient(5and 10)as main plot treatment and tillage practice(traditional tillage,open-ridging,and tied-ridging)as split-plot treatment,from 2015 to 2018.There were greater variations in runoff,sediment yield,and associ-ated soil nutrient losses than in fodder yield and WUE.Tied-ridging and open-ridging resulted in decreased runoff and reduced sediment transport and associated soil nutrient losses,and increased soil moisture,fodder yield,and WUE.Runoff,sediment transport,and associated soil nutrient losses inclined with increasing slope;while fodder yield and the WUE declined.For slopes of 5and 10,the average decrease in runoff,sediment yield,total nitrogen,total phosphorus,and organic matter losses for open-ridging were 47.7e56.2%,91.0e92.7%,90.4e93.1%,90.1e92.2%,and 88.9e90.2%,respectively,while these for tied-ridging were 62.4e68.4%,94.5e96.4%,93.6e95.5%,93.9e95.9%,and 93.0e94.9%,over 4 years as compared with traditional tillage.The mean annual runoff,sediment,total nitrogen,total phosphorus,and organic matter losses for slopes of 10were 1.31,1.96,1.87,1.99,and 1.64 times greater than the corresponding values for slopes of 5,respectively.The increase of fodder yield and WUE for open-ridging and tied-ridging was 40.1e45.6%and 16.0e17.5%,and 3.66e5.99 and 1.35e2.50 kg ha^(-1)mm^(-1),respectively,for slopes of 5and 10.The average fodder yield and WUE for slopes of 5were 1.19 and 1.23 times greater than corresponding values for slopes of 10,respectively.The disparities in fodder yield and WUE of alfalfa between slopes of 5and 10were not clear in dry years,but were evident in wet years.Tied-ridging was recommended for water and soil conservation,while open-ridging was recommended for increase of fodder yield and WUE of alfalfa.The implementation of RFRH in crop production should be evaluated by the use of a model in accordance with climatic conditions,soil type,and plant species.Qi Wang Fuchun Li Xiaole Zhao Wucheng Zhao Dengkui Zhang Xujiao Zhou David JSample Xiaoyun Wang Qinglin Liu Xiaoling Li Guang Li Heling Wang Kai Zhang Jin Chen 2022International Soil and Water Conservation Research2022,10,2:2
4Evolutionary relationship of three mitten crabs(Eriocheir sp)revealed by mitogenome and 5S ribosomal DNA analysis显示文摘To reveal the evolutionary relationship of three mitten crabs(Eriocheir sinensis,E.hepuensis,and E.japonica),complete mitogenomes and nuclear 5S rDNA sequences were analyzed.Sequencing revealed that the mitogenomes analyzed shared conserved organization of the coding and non-coding regions but genetic variation was identified.Among the three mitten crabs distinct tandem repeats were identified in the mitochondrial D-loop region.The 5S gene(5S rDNA)sequence was highly conserved across the three species,whereas non-transcribed spacer(NTS)region exhibit high levels of variation including insertions,deletions and point mutations.Cluster analysis suggested that the three mitten crabs had their own independent 5S rDNA sequence variation and evolutionary pattern.Both mitogenome and 5S rDNA sequence analysis revealed significant genetic variation across the mitten crabs species.Phylogenetic analysis using mitogenome and 5S rDNA sequences demonstrated that E.japonica was relatively more distant from E.sinensis and E.hepuensis.This study extended our previous knowledge and confirmed that the three mitten crabs are likely to be genetically differentiated species.In addition,our study also provided insights into the conservation of pure natural resources of E.sinensis,an important aquaculture species.Xiaowen Chen Jun Wang Lei Huang Wucheng Yue Jixing Zou Chunhong Yuan Guoqing Lu Chenghui Wang 2017Aquaculture and Fisheries2017,2,6:1

7Multi-decadal variations in glacier flow velocity and the influencing factors of Urumqi Glacier No.1 in Tianshan Mountains, Northwest China显示文摘Urumqi Glacier No. 1 is a representative glacier in the inland areas of Central Asia and is the only Chinese reference glacier in the World Glacier Monitoring Service. In this study, we explored multi-decadal variations in the flow velocity of the glacier and the influencing factors based on continuous field observations and path coefficient analysis. Results show that the glacier flow velocity decreased from 5.5 m/a in 1980/1981 to 3.3 m/a in 2010/2011. The annual variation in the direction of glacier flow velocity in the western branch and eastern branch was less than 1°–3°, and the change of glacier flow velocity in the western branch was more dramatic than that in the eastern branch. Glacier flow velocity was influenced by glacier morphology(including glacier area, glacier length, and ice thickness), glacier mass balance and local climate conditions(air temperature and precipitation), the glacier morphology being the leading factor. 8An Iterative Layered Tabu Search Algorithm for Complex Job Shop Scheduling Problem显示文摘In this paper, aiming at the complex characteristics that there exist two interrelated decision processes: job-assignment decision and job-sequencing decision in the complex job shop scheduling problem with parallel machines and technical constraints, we propose an Iterative layered tabu search algorithm (ILTSA), which combines the iterative and layered mechanism with tabu search algorithm. In ILTSA, we define the notation of the optimization layer including the job-assignment optimization layer and the job-sequencing optimization layer which correspond to the above two interrelated decision processes respectively. On the basis, we use the corresponding tabu search algorithms in different optimization layers and switch iteratively the above two tabu search algorithms between the two optimization layers to improve the performance of the scheduling algorithm effectively. In the above two TS algorithms, the measuring functions are the objective of the whole scheduling problem. At last, we make numerical computations for different scale scheduling problems of minimizing the makespan and minimizing the total number of tardy jobs respectively, and numerical computational results show that ILTSA is very efficient and suitable for solving larger scale job shop scheduling problem with parallel machines and technical constraints. 14Environmental compliance and profitable steelmaking-always a challenge!显示文摘Badische Stahlwerke in Kehl,Germany is located on the river Rhine close to the Black Forrest,which is a recreational area.As a consequence the environmental regulations for Badische Stahlwerke are even more stringent than the already stringent German regulations.Badische Stahlwerke elaborated over the years many concepts for the reduction of environmental impact by a steel plant.These concepts deal with the reduction of emissions to air water and soil,but also with the recycling of all by products from steel making like slag,dust,scale and some others.The success of these concepts can be seen by the very low emission values of Badische Stahlwerke and also the profit derived from the recycling of by-products. Other ideas have been worked out to minimize noise emissions and to detect radioactive sources which are coming together with the scrap into the steel making process.This problem is getting more and more serious. With the experience of more than 25 years in environmental protection in the steel industry,BSE can offer these concepts and solutions to other mini mills to shorten implementation time of environmental protection and to avoid expensive mistakes. 16Non-uniform thermal behavior of single-layer spherical reticulated shell structures considering time-variant environmental factors: analysis and design显示文摘Contrary to conventional design methods that assume uniform and slow temperature changes tied to atmospheric conditions,single-layer spherical reticulated shells undergo significant non-uniform and time-variant temperature variations due to dynamic environmental coupling.These differences can affect structural performance and pose safety risks.Here,a systematic numerical method was developed and applied to simulate long-term temperature variations in such a structure under real environmental conditions,revealing its non-uniform distribution characteristics and time-variant regularity.A simplified design method for non-uniform thermal loads,accounting for time-variant environmental factors,was theoretically derived and validated through experiments and simulations.The maximum deviation and mean error rate between calculated and tested results were 6.1°C and 3.7%,respectively.Calculated temperature fields aligned with simulated ones,with deviations under 6.0°C.Using the design method,non-uniform thermal effects of the structure are analyzed.Maximum member stress and nodal displacement under non-uniform thermal loads reached 119.3 MPa and 19.7 mm,representing increases of 167.5%and 169.9%,respectively,compared to uniform thermal loads.The impacts of healing construction time on non-uniform thermal effects were evaluated,resulting in construction recommendations.The methodologies and conclusions presented here can serve as valuable references for the thermal design,construction,and control of single-layer spherical reticulated shells or similar structures.Wucheng XU Xiaoqing ZHENG Xuanhe ZHANG Zhejie LAI Yanbin SHEN 2024Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2024,25,3:0
17WDR62-deficiency Causes Autism-like Behaviors Independent of Microcephaly in Mice显示文摘Brain size abnormality is correlated with an increased frequency of autism spectrum disorder(ASD)in offspring.Genetic analysis indicates that heterozygous mutations of the WD repeat domain 62(WDR62)are associated with ASD.However,biological evidence is still lacking.Our study showed that Wdr62 knockout(KO)led to reduced brain size with impaired learning and memory,as well as ASD-like behaviors in mice.Interestingly,Wdr62 Nex-cKO mice(depletion of WDR62 in differentiated neurons)had a largely normal brain size but with aberrant social interactions and repetitive behaviors.WDR62 regulated dendritic spinogenesis and excitatory synaptic transmission in cortical pyramidal neurons.Finally,we revealed that retinoic acid gavages significantly alleviated ASD-like behaviors in mice with WDR62 haploinsufficiency,probably by complementing the expression of ASD and synapse-related genes.Our findings provide a new perspective on the relationship between the microcephaly gene WDR62 and ASD etiology that will benefit clinical diagnosis and intervention of ASD.Dan Xu Yiqiang Zhi Xinyi Liu Le Guan Jurui Yu Dan Zhang Weiya Zhang Yaqing Wang Wucheng Tao Zhiheng Xu 2023Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,9:0
18Genetic Identification of a New Small Grain Dwarf Gene in Rice显示文摘The plant material used in the study was rice line 162d, a new small grain dwarf mutant. Polymorphic analysis of 221 SSR loci demonstrated that 162d derived from a semidwarf variety Shuhui 162 through mutation, and 162d and Shuhui 162 were just a pair of near isogenic lines. Genetic analysis of Fl and F2 populations suggested that dwarfism in 162d was controlled by a single recessive gene. Phenotypic characteristics of the mutant gene were that plant height was about a quarter of normal height, grain size about a quarter of normal size, leaf was short and broad, and seed setting rate was very low,compared with the near isogenic line Shuhui 162. The mutant gene was sensitive to gibberellin (GA3) treatment and did not located on the region near the centromere of rice chromosome 5, where dl gene located.
