2Laparoscopic versus open pancreaticoduodenectomy for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma:a propensity score matching analysis显示文摘Background:A growing body of evidence supports the use of laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy(LPD)as an efficient and feasible surgical technique.However,few studies have investigated its applicability in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC),and the long-term efficacy of LPD on PDAC remains unclear.This study aimed to compare the short-and long-term outcomes between LPD and open pancreaticoduodenectomy(OPD)for PDAC.Methods:The data of patients who had OPD or LPD for PDAC between January 2013 and September 2017 were retrieved.Their postoperative outcomes and survival were compared after propensity score matching.Results:A total of 309 patients were included.After a 2:1 matching,93 cases in the OPD group and 55 in the LPD group were identified.Delayed gastric emptying(DGE),particularly grade B/C DGE,occurred less frequently in the LPD group than in the OPD group(1.8%vs.36.6%,P<0.001;1.8%vs.22.6%,P=0.001).The overall complication rates were significantly lower in the LPD group than in the OPD group(49.1%vs.71.0%,P=0.008),whereas the rates of major complications were similar(10.9%vs.14.0%,P=0.590).In addition,the median overall survival was comparable between the two groups(20.0 vs.18.7 months,P=0.293).Conclusion:LPD was found to be technically feasible with efficacy similar to OPD for patients with PDAC.Wentao Zhou Weiwei Jin Dansong Wang Chao Lu Xuefeng Xu Renchao Zhang Tiantao Kuang Yucheng Zhou Wenchuan Wu Dayong Jin Yiping Mou Wenhui Lou 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:14

4Zeolite and fungi’s flocculability of simulated wastewater containing heavy metal ions or phosphorus显示文摘This paper focuses on the flocculability of simulated wastewater containing heavy metal ions (Fe3+, Cd2+) or phosphorus by zeolite, microbial flocculants (MBF) produced by Aspergillus niger and the composite flocculant composed of zeolite and MBF. The main results are presented as follows: zeolite was a good flocculant when the contamination of the three simulated wastewaters was low, but the treated water is of turbidness and the particles in it are hard to precipitate. The MBF have a good flocculability toward Fe3+ wastewater, as well as particulate matter. Significant changes in flocculability occurred after adding the composite flocculant in different simulated wastewa-ters, the best or least effect respective for Fe3+ and Cd2+ wastewater. 5Oxidation Behavior of C/C-SiC Gradient Matrix Composites显示文摘Oxidation behavior of C/C-SiC gradient matrix composites and C/C composites were compared in stationary air. The results show that oxidation threshold of C-SiC materials increases with the amount of SiC particles in the codeposition matrix. Oxidation rate of C/C-SiC gradient matrix composites is significantly lower than that of C/C material. 7Very Short-term Spatial and Temporal Wind Power Forecasting: A Deep Learning Approach显示文摘In power systems that experience high penetration of wind power generation,very short-term wind power forecast is an important prerequisite for look-ahead power dispatch.Conventional univariate wind power forecasting methods at presentonly utilize individual wind farm historical data.However,studies have shown that forecasting accuracy canbe improved by exploring both spatial and temporal correlations among adjacent wind farms.Current research on spatial-temporal wind power forecasting is based on relatively shallow time series models that,to date,have demonstrated unsatisfactory performance.In this paper,a convolution operation is used to capture the spatial and temporal correlations among multiple wind farms.A novel convolution-based spatial-temporal wind power predictor(CSTWPP)is developed.Due to CSTWPP’s high nonlinearity and deep architecture,wind power variation features and regularities included in the historical data can be more effectively extracted.Furthermore,the online training of CSTWPP enables incremental learning,which makes CSTWPP non-stationary and in conformity with real scenarios.Graphics processing units(GPU)is used to speed up the training process,validating the developed CSTWPP for real-time application.Case studies on 28 adjacent wind farms are conducted to show that the proposed model can achieve superior performance on 5-30 minutes ahead wind power forecasts.Tianyu Hu Wenchuan Wu Qinglai Guo Hongbin Sun Libao Shi Xinwei Shen 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,2:3
8Optimal design of Er/Yb co-doped fiber amplifiers with an Yb-band fiber Bragg grating显示文摘In this paper, Er/Yb co-doped fiber amplifiers(EYDFAs) with an Yb-band fiber Bragg grating(FBG) at the pump end to improve the performance of the amplifier is systematically studied. The influence of the reflectivity and center wavelength of the FBG along with the gain-fiber length on the performance of an EYDFA are numerically analyzed. The results show that the wavelength of the FBG has critical influence on the efficiency of the EYDFA,whereas the requirement to its reflectivity is relaxed. It is an effective and promising way to improve the efficiency of a high-power pumped EYDFA by introducing a suitable Yb-band FBG at the pump end. 10Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cell Seeding on Biofunctionalized Calcium Phosphate Cements显示文摘Induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)have great potential due to their proliferation and differentiation capability.The objectives of this study were to generate iPSC-derived mesenchymal stem cells(iPSC-MSCs),and investigate iPSC-MSC proliferation and osteogenic differentiation on calcium phosphate cement(CPC)containing biofunctional agents for the first time.Human iPSCs were derived from marrow CD34+cells which were reprogrammed by a single episomal vector.iPSCs were cultured to form embryoid bodies(EBs),and MSCs migrated out of EBs.Five biofunctional agents were incorporated into CPC:RGD(Arg-Gly-Asp)peptides,fibronectin(Fn),fibronectin-like engineered polymer protein(FEPP),extracellular matrix Geltrex,and platelet concentrate.iPSC-MSCs were seeded on five biofunctionalized CPCs:CPC-RGD,CPC-Fn,CPC-FEPP,CPC-Geltrex,and CPC-Platelets.iPSC-MSCs on biofunctional CPCs had enhanced proliferation,actin fiber expression,osteogenic differentiation and mineralization,compared to control.Cell proliferation was greatly increased on biofunctional CPCs.iPSC-MSCs underwent osteogenic differentiation with increased alkaline phosphatase,Runx2 and collagen-I expressions.Mineral synthesis by iPSC-MSCs on CPC-Platelets was 3-fold that of CPC control.In conclusion,iPSCs showed high potential for bone engineering.iPSC-MSCs on biofunctionalized CPCs had cell proliferation and bone mineralization that were much better than traditional CPC.iPSC-MSC-CPC constructs are promising to promote bone regeneration in craniofacial/orthopedic repairs.WahWah TheinHan Jun Liu Minghui Tang Wenchuan Chen Linzhao Cheng Hockin H.K.Xu 2013Bone Research2013,1,4:3
11Fiber loop ring-down cavity integrated U-bent single-mode-fiber for magnetic field sensing显示文摘A novel magnetic field sensing system based on the fiber loop ring-down technique is proposed in this paper. In the fiber loop, a U-bent single-mode-fiber structure coated with magnetic fluid(MF) serves as the sensing head, and an erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA) is introduced to compensate for the intrinsic loss of the cavity. The ring-down time of the system varies with the change of applied magnetic field due to the tunable absorption coefficient and refractive index of the MF. Therefore, measurement of the magnetic field can be realized by monitoring the ringdown time. The experimental results show that the performance of the system is extremely dependent on the interrogation wavelength, because both the gain of the EDFA and the loss of the sensing head are wavelength dependent.We found that at the optimal wavelength, the ratio of the gain to loss attained its maximum. 12Global gene expression profiles for the growth phases of Trichophyton rubrum显示文摘Trichophyton rubrum (T.rubrum) is a common superficial fungus.Molecular and genetic studies of T.rubrum are still limited.In this paper,we report the global analysis of gene expression profiles at different growth phases using cDNA microarray technology.A total of 2044 differentially expressed genes were obtained and clustered into three expression patterns.Our data confirmed previous results that many mRNAs were pre-stored in the conidia of T.rubrum.Transcriptional profiling and function analysis showed that some glycolytic enzymes share similar expression patterns and may be coregulated during the transition of growth phases.Some genes involved in small GTPase signaling pathways,and in cAMP-dependent and MAPK regulation pathways were induced in response to the growth dynamics of T.rubrum.Although the detailed biological roles of these T.rubrum genes are still unknown,our results suggest that these genes may be involved in regulation mechanisms in the life cycle of the fungus.XU XingYe LIU Tao LENG WenChuan DONG Jie XUE Ying YANG HanChuna JIN Qi 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,7:2

15Electrochemical CO_(2) mineralization for red mud treatment driven by hydrogen-cycled membrane electrolysis显示文摘CO_(2)mineralization as a promising CO_(2)mitigation strategy can employ industrial alkaline solid wastes to achieve net emission reduction of atmospheric CO_(2).The red mud is a strong alkalinity waste residue produced from the aluminum industry by the Bayer process which has the potential for the industrial CO_(2)large scale treatment.However,limited by complex components of red mud and harsh operating conditions,it is challenging to directly mineralize CO_(2)using red mud to recover carbon and sodium resources and to produce mineralized products simultaneously with high economic value efficiently.Herein,we propose a novel electrochemical CO_(2)mineralization strategy for red mud treatment driven by hydrogen-cycled membrane electrolysis,realizing mineralization of CO_(2)efficiently and recovery of carbon and sodium resources with economic value.The system utilizes H_(2)as the redox-active proton carrier to drive the cathode and anode to generate OH^(-) and H^(+) at low voltage,respectively.The H^(+) plays as a neutralizer for the alkalinity of red mud and the OH^(-) is used to mineralize CO_(2)into generate highpurity NaHCO_(3)product.We verify that the system can effectively recover carbon and sodium resources in red mud treatment process,which shows that the average electrolysis efficiency is 95.3%with highpurity(99.4%)NaHCO_(3)product obtained.The low electrolysis voltage of 0.453 V is achieved at10 mA·cm^(-2) in this system indicates a potential low energy consumption industrial process.Further,we successfully demonstrate that this process has the ability of direct efficient mineralization of flue gas CO_(2)(15%volume)without extra capturing,being a novel potential strategy for carbon neutralization.Heping Xie Yunpeng Wang Tao Liu Yifan Wu Wenchuan Jiang Cheng Lan Zhiyu Zhao Liangyu Zhu Dongsheng Yang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,3:2
16Electromyographic evaluation of functional electrical stimulation to injured oculomotor nerve显示文摘Functional electrical stimulation delivered early after injury to the proximal nerve stump has been proposed as a therapeutic approach for enhancing the speed and specificity of axonal regeneration following nerve injury. In this study, the injured oculomotor nerve was stimulated functionally by an implantable electrode. Electromyographic monitoring of the motor unit potential of the inferior oblique muscle was conducted for 12 weeks in two injury groups, one with and one without electric stimulation. The results revealed that, at 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks after functional electric stimulation of the injured oculomotor nerve, motor unit potentials significantly increased, such that amplitude was longer and spike duration gradually shortened. These findings indicate that the injured oculomotor nerve has the potential for regeneration and repair, but this ability is not sufficient for full functional recovery to occur. 17Optimal Aggregation Approach for Virtual Power Plant Considering Network Reconfiguration显示文摘As an aggregator of distributed energy resources(DERs) such as distributed generator, energy storage, and load,the virtual power plant(VPP) enables these small DERs participating in system operation. One of the critical issues is how to aggregate DERs to form VPPs appropriately. To improve the controllability and reduce the operation cost of VPP, the complementary DERs with close electrical distances should be aggregated in the same VPP. In this paper, it is formulated as an optimal network partition model for minimizing the voltage deviation inside VPPs and the fluctuation of injection power at the point of common coupling(PCC). A new convex formulation of network reconfiguration strategy is incorporated in this approach which can guarantee the components of the same VPP connected and further improve the performance of VPPs.The proposed approach is cast as an instance of mixed-integer linear programming(MILP) and can be effectively solved.Moreover, a scenario reduction method is developed to reduce the computation burden based on the k-shape algorithm.
