1Boron delivery agents for neutron capture therapy of cancer显示文摘Boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT)is a binary radiotherapeutic modality based on the nuclear capture and fission reactions that occur when the stable isotope,boron-10,is irradiated with neutrons to produce high energy alpha particles.This review will focus on tumor-targeting boron delivery agents that are an essential component of this binary system.Two low molecular weight boron-containing drugs currently are being used clinically,boronopheny-lalanine(BPA)and sodium borocaptate(BSH).Although they are far from being ideal,their therapeutic efficacy has been demonstrated in patients with high grade gliomas,recurrent tumors of the head and neck region,and a much smaller number with cutaneous and extra-cutaneous melanomas.Because of their limitations,great effort has been expended over the past 40 years to develop new boron delivery agents that have more favorable biodistribution and uptake for clinical use.These include boron-containing porphyrins,amino acids,polyamines,nucleosides,peptides,monoclonal antibodies,liposomes,nanoparticles of various types,boron cluster compounds and co-polymers.Cur-rently,however,none of these have reached the stage where there is enough convincing data to warrant clinical biodistribution studies.Therefore,at present the best way to further improve the clinical efficacy of BNCT would be to optimize the dosing paradigms and delivery of BPA and BSH,either alone or in combination,with the hope that future research will identify new and better boron delivery agents for clinical use.Rolf F.Barth Peng Mi Weilian Yang 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:13
2ELEVATED SOLUBLE EPIDERMAL GROWTH FACTOR RECEPTOR LEVEL IN PITUITARY ADENOMA AND CARCINOMA显示文摘To investigate effect of the soluble epidermal growth factor receptor (sEGFR/sErbB1) level in the periph-eral blood in development, invasiveness, apoplexy of each type of pituitary tumor. Methods The sEGFR level was determined in peripheral serum from 190 patients with pituitary diseases by enzyme linked immunosobent assay. The sEGFR levels were measured in 10 pituitary Rathke’s pouch, 18 pituitary hyperplasia, 161 pituitary adenomas including 30 microadenomas, 83 large adenomas, 48 giant adenomas, 1 pituitary carcinoma, and 28 hea-lthy controls. Results In the patients with pituitary hyperplasia, microadenoma, large adenoma, giant adenoma, and pituitary carci-noma, the sEGFR level was 188.92 ± 32.62, 209.83 ± 19.01, 333.20 ± 69.33, 405.85 ± 37.38, and 617.45 fmol/mL indepen-dently. They were all significantly higher than patients with pituitary Rathke’s pouch (156.78 ± 18.24 fmol/mL, P < 0.001) and healthy control group (159.11 ± 40.50 fmol/mL, P < 0.05). The sEGFR level in pituitary carcinoma was higher than pi-tuitary adenoma. In patients with pituitary adenoma, the sEGFR level was positive correlated to the size of pituitary adeno-mas (r = 0.998), the significant difference was observed for the sEGFR level in each group of the patients with pituitary adenomas (P < 0.001). Furthermore, in patients with pituitary ACTH-secreting microadenomas, the serum sEGFR levels in invasiveness (295.00 ± 77.80 fmol/mL) was higher than that in non-invasiveness (210.60 ± 16.4 fmol/mL, P < 0.05). In pati-ents with pituitary ACTH-secreting, PRL-secreting, GH-secreting, and non-functioning large adenomas, the serum sEGFR levels in invasiveness (407.86 ± 28.50, 399.25 ± 30.10, 386.00 ± 13.08, and 369.25 ± 36.70 fmol/mL) was higher than that in non-invasiveness (335.25 ± 63.49, 300.64 ± 47.57, 297.00 ± 61.93, and 269.30 ± 25.68 fmol/mL) respectively (P < 0.05). In patients with invasive pituitary PRL-secreting, GH-secreting, and non-functioning giant adenomas, the serum sEGFR levels not significantly different in between invasiveness (417.50 ± 35.94, 409.50 ± 69.14, and 417.50 ± 44.13 fmol/mL) and non-invasiveness (386.00 ± 49.64, 417.50 ± 44.03, and 409.51 ± 35.17 fmol/mL) (P > 0.05). In patients with pituitary large adeno-mas, the sEGFR levels in pituitary apoplexy (377.48 ± 39.18 fmol/mL) was higher than that in non-pituitary apoplexy (343.18 ± 68.17 fmol/mL, P > 0.05). Conclusions The increased level of peripheral serum sEGFR is concomitant with development, proliferous size of the adenomas in patients with pituitary adenomas. In addition, the elevated levels of serum sEGFR occur in pituitary apoplexy as clinical active tumors, and the non-invasive ACTH secreting adenomas. The sEGFR levels could be differen-tiated helpfully between pituitary adenomas and non-pituitary adenomas. 3Symptom network topological features predict the effectiveness of herbal treatment for pediatric cough显示文摘Pediatric cough is a heterogeneous condition in terms of symptoms and the underlying disease mechanisms.Symptom phenotypes hold complicated interactions between each other to form an intricate network structure.This study aims to investigate whether the network structure of pediatric cough symptoms is associated with the prognosis and outcome of patients.A total of 384 cases were derived from the electronic medical records of a highly experienced traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physician.The data were divided into two groups according to the therapeutic effect,namely,an invalid group (group A with 40 cases of poor efficacy) and a valid group (group B with 344 cases of good efficacy).Several well-established analysis methods,namely,statistical test,correlation analysis,and complex network analysis,were used to analyze the data.This study reports that symptom networks of patients with pediatric cough are related to the effectiveness of treatment: a dense network of symptoms is associated with great difficulty in treatment.Interventions with the most different symptoms in the symptom network may have improved therapeutic effects.Mengxue Huang Jingjing Wang Runshun Zhang Zhuying Ni Xiaoying Liu Wenwen Liu Weilian Kong Yao Chen Tiantian Huang Guihua Li Dan Wei Jianzhong Liu Xuezhong Zhou 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,3:4
4The construction of personalized virtual landslide disaster environments based on knowledge graphs and deep neural networks显示文摘Virtual Landslide Disaster environments are important for multilevel simulation,analysis and decision-making about Landslide Disasters.However,in the existing related studies,complex disaster scene objects and relationships are not deeply analyzed,and the scene contents are fixed,which is not conducive to meeting multilevel visualization task requirements for diverse users.To resolve the above issues,a construction method for Personalized Virtual Landslide Disaster Environments Based on Knowledge Graphs and Deep Neural networks is proposed in this paper.The characteristics of relationships among users,scenes and data were first discussed in detail;then,a knowledge graph of virtual Landslide Disaster environments was established to clarify the complex relationships among disaster scene objects,and a Deep Neural network was introduced to mine the user history information and the relationships among object entities in the knowledge graph.Therefore,a personalized Landslide Disaster scene data recommendation mechanism was proposed.Finally,a prototype system was developed,and an experimental analysis was conducted.The experimental results show that the method can be used to recommend intelligently appropriate disaster information and scene data to diverse users.The recommendation accuracy stabilizes above 80%–a level able to effectively support The Construction of Personalized Virtual Landslide Disaster environments.Yunhao Zhang Jun Zhu Qing Zhu Yakun Xie Weilian Li Lin Fu Junxiao Zhang Jianmei Tan 2020International Journal of Digital Earth2020,13,12:3
5Bulk single crystal growth of SiGe by PMCZ method显示文摘A new type of magnetic device was used to replace the conventional electro-magnetic field for CZSi (doped with Ge) growth. The device was composed of three permanent magnetic rings and called PMCZ device. The lines of magnetic force are horizontally distributed at radial 360°. Using the ring permanent magnetic field, thermal convection in melt and centrifugal pumping flows due to crystal rotation could be strongly suppressed so that the fluctuations of temperature and micro-growth rate at solid/liquid interface could be restrained effectively. In the PMCZ condition, the growing environment of SiGe bulk single crystal was similar to the crystal growth in space under the condition of micro-gravity. The motion of impurities (Ge, oxygen, etc.) had been controlled by diffusion near the solid/liquid interface. Oxygen concentraion became lower and the distribution of composition became more homogeneous along longitudinal direction and across a radial section in the grown SiGe crystal. 6Design and Realization of InP/AlGaInAs MultipleQuantum Well Ring Laser显示文摘Using beam propagation method (BPM), key optical design parameters of InP/AlGaInAs multiple quantumwell (MQW) ring laser were numerically analyzed. The influences of waveguide dimensions, curvature radiusand gap size on the coupling efficiency were discussed. An InP/AlGaInAs MQW ring laser with radius of 350 μm wasdesigned and realized. 7Theoretical and experimental study on seismic response control on top of Three-Gorges ship lift towers using magnetorheological intelligent isolation system and its key technique显示文摘A vertical ship lift under earthquake excitation may suffer from a whipping effect due to the sudden change of building lateral stiffness at the top of the ship lift towers.This paper proposes a roof magnetorheological(MR)intelligent isolation system to prevent the seismic whipping effect on machinery structures.Theoretically,the dynamic models of MR damper and the mechanical model of ship lift was established,the inverse neural network controlling algorithm was proposed and the fundamental semi-active control equation for the Three-Gorges ship lift where the MR intelligent isolation system was installed was deduced.Experimentally,the experimental model of the ship lift was given,the vibrating table experiment of the MR intelligent isolation system controlling the whipping effect was carried out and the results of the inverse neural network control strategy and passive isolation strategy were compared.In practical aspect,the large-scale MR damper(500 kN)and a sliding support with limited stiffness were designed and fabricated.It was proven that the MR intelligent isolation system with proper control strategy can greatly reduce the seismic whipping effect on the top workshop of the ship lift and be simple and effective enough to be applied to real engineering structures.Weilian QU Jianwei TU 2009Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2009,3,1:2
