1Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil experimentally contaminated with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn together and effects on soil negative surface charge显示文摘Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil subsamples experimentally loaded with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn in orthogonal design was investigated by sequential extraction, and operationally defined as water soluble and exchangeable(SE), weakly specific adsorbed(WSA), Fe and Mn oxides bound(OX) and organic bound(ORG). The results showed that fractions of heavy metals in the soil subsamples depended on their speciation. About 90% of Cd and 75% of Zn existed in soil subsamples in the SE fraction. Lead and Cu existed in soil subsamples as SE, WSA and OX fractions simultaneously, although SE was still the major fraction. Organic bound heavy metals were not clearly apparent in all the soil subsamples. The concentration of some heavy metal fractions in soil subsamples showed the good correlation with ionic impulsion of soil, especially for the SE fraction. Continuous saturation of soil subsamples with 0.20 mol/L NH 4Cl, which is the first step for determination of the negative surface charge of soil by the ion retention method, resulted in desorption of certain heavy metals from the soil. It was found that the percentage desorption of heavy metals from soil subsamples depended greatly on pH, the composition and original heavy metal content of the soil subsamples. However, most of the heavy metals in the soil subsamples were still be retained after multiple saturation. Compared with the parent soil, the negative surface charge of soil subsamples loaded with heavy metals did not show difference significantly from that of the parent one by statistical analysis. 3Yu Gan Long Ameliorates Hepatic Fibrosis by Inhibiting PI3K/AKT,Ras/ERK and JAK1/STAT3 Signaling Pathways in CCl4-induced Liver Fibrosis Rats显示文摘Yu Gan Long(YGL)is a Chinese traditional herbal formula which has been reported to attenuate liver fibrosis for many years and we have explored its anti-fibrotic mechanism through blocking transforming growth factor(TGF-β)in the previous study.But the mechanisms associated with platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF)-BB remain obscure.In this study,we further investigated the mechanism of YGL reducing carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-induced liver fibrosis in rats.Our results showed that YGL suppressed CCl4-induced upregulation of collagen IV(Col IV),type HI precollagen(PCHI),hyaluronuc acid(HA)and laminin(LN),which are implicated in liver fibrosis.Also,YGL reduced theα-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)expression,which acts as the indicator of liver fibrosis.Furthermore,YGL decreased the serum levels of hepatic stellate cell(HSC)mitogen PDGF-BB and inflammation cytokines,including TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6.Markers involved in liver fibrosis,such as Ras,p-Raf-1,p-ERK1/2,p-JNK,p-P38,p-PI3K,p-AKT,p-JAKl,p-STAT3 were downregulated significantly after treatment with YGL.Our results indicated that YGL ameliorated CCl4-induced liver fibrosis by reducing inflammation cytokines production,and suppressing Ras/ERK,PI3K/AKT,and JAK1/STAT3 signaling pathways,which provided further evidence towards elucidation of the anti-fibrotic mechanism of YGL.Hou-gang LI Peng-tao YOU Yu XI Yu CAI Yi-jun TU Meng-heng WANG Wan-ci SONG Tai-min QUAN Hui-ying REN Yan-wen LIU Han-xiong DAN Shi-qing XU 2020Current Medical Science2020,40,3:9
4Comparison of laparoscopic and open surgery for pyogenic liver abscess with biliary pathology显示文摘AIM:To investigate the feasibility and therapeutic effect of laparoscopic surgery for pyogenic liver abscess(PLA) with biliary pathology.METHODS:From January 2004 to October 2010,31 patients with PLA combined with biliary pathology meeting entry criteria received surgical management in our hospital.Of the 31 patients,13 underwent laparoscopic surgery(LS group) and 18 underwent open surgery(OS group).Clinical data including operation time,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative complication rate,length of postoperative hospital stay,and abscess recurrence rate were retrospectively analyzed and compared between the two groups.RESULTS:All patients received systemic antibiotic therapy.Four patients underwent ultrasound-guided percutaneous catheter drainage before operation.Postoperative complications occurred in 5 patients(16.1%,5/31) including 2 in the LS group and 3 in the OS group.One patient had retained calculus in the common bile duct and another had liver abscess recurrence in the OS group.No retained calculus and liver abscess recurrence occurred in the LS group.In the two groups,there was no mortality during the perioperative period.There were no significant differences in operation time,intraoperative blood loss and transfusion,postoperative complication rate and abscess recurrence rate between the two groups.Oral intake was earlier(1.9 ± 0.4 d vs 3.1 ± 0.7 d,P < 0.05) and length of postoperative hospital stay was shorter(11.3 ± 2.9 d vs 14.5 ± 3.7 d,P < 0.05) in the LS group than in the OS group.CONCLUSION:Laparoscopic surgery for simultaneous treatment of PLA and biliary pathology is feasible in selected patients and the therapeutic effect is similar to that of open surgery.Jin-Fu Tu Xiu-Fang Huang Ru-Ying Hu He-Yi You Xiao-Feng Zheng Fei-Zhao Jiang 2011World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,38:5

6Fermented mixed feed alters growth performance,carcass traits,meat quality and muscle fatty acid and amino acid profiles in finishing pigs显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fermented mixed feed(FMF)on growth performance,carcass traits,meat quality,muscle amino acid and fatty acid composition and mRNA expression levels of genes related to lipid metabolism in finishing pigs.In the present study,144 finishing pigs(Duroc×Berkshire×Jiaxing Black)were randomly allocated to 3 dietary treatments with 4 replicate pens per group and 12 pigs per pen.The dietary treatments included a basal diet(CON),a basal diet+5%FMF and a basal diet+10%FMF.The experiment lasted 38 d after 4 d of acclimation.The results showed that 5%and 10%FMF significantly increased the average daily gain(ADG)of the females but not the males(P<0.05),but FMF supplementation showed no impact on carcass traits.Moreover,10%FMF supplementation increased the meat color45 min and meat color24 h values,while it decreased the shear force relative to CON(P<0.05).In addition,10%FMF significantly increased the contents of flavor amino acids(FAA),total essential AA(EAA),total non-EAA(NEAA)and total AA relative to CON(P<0.05).Furthermore,the diet supplemented with 10%FMF significantly increased the concentration of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA),n-6 PUFA and total PUFA,and the PUFA to saturated fatty acids ratio(P<0.05),suggesting that FMF supplementation increased meat quality.Moreover,compared with the CON,10%FMF supplementation increased the mRNA expression of lipogenic genes,including CEBPα,PPARγ,SREBP1 and FABP4,and upregulated the expression of unsaturated fatty acid synthesis(ACAA1 and FADS2).Together,our results suggest that 10%FMF dietary supplementation improved the female pigs’growth performance,improved the meat quality and altered the profiles of muscle fatty acids and amino acids in finishing pigs.This study provides a reference for the production of high-quality pork.Shiqi Liu Man Du Yuang Tu Wenjing You Wentao Chen Guoliang Liu Junyue Li Yizhen Wang Zeqing Lu Tenghao Wang Tizhong Shan 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,1:4
7Novel technique for lymphadenectomy along left recurrent laryngeal nerve during thoracoscopic esophagectomy显示文摘BACKGROUND In esophageal squamous carcinoma,lymphadenectomy along the left recurrent laryngeal nerve(RLN)is recommended owing to its highly metastatic potential.However,this procedure is difficult due to limited working space in the left upper mediastinum,and increases postoperative complications.AIM To present a novel method for lymphadenectomy along the left RLN during thoracoscopic esophagectomy in the semi-prone position.METHODS The fundamental concept of this novel method is to exfoliate a bilateral pedicled nerve flap,which is a two-dimensional membrane,which includes the left RLN,lymph nodes(LNs)along the left RLN,and tracheoesophageal vessels,by suspending the esophagus to the dorsal side and pushing the trachea to the ventral side(named“bilateral exposure method”).Then,the hollow-out method is performed to transform the two-dimensional membrane to a three-dimensional structure,in which the left RLN and tracheoesophageal vessels are easily distinguished and preserved during lymphadenectomy along the left RLN.This novel method was retrospectively evaluated in 116 consecutive patients with esophageal squamous carcinoma from August 2016 to February 2018.RESULTS There were 58 patients in each group.No significant difference was found between the two groups in terms of age,gender,postoperative pneumonia,anastomotic fistula,and postoperative hospitalization.However,the number of dissected LNs along the left RLN in this novel method was significantly higher than that in the conventional method(4.17±0.359 vs 2.93±0.463,P=0.0447).Moreover,the operative time and the rate of postoperative hoarseness in the novel method were significantly lower than those in the conventional method(306.0±6.774 vs 335.2±7.750,P=0.0054;4/58 vs 12/58,P=0.0312).CONCLUSION This novel method for lymphadenectomy along the left RLN during thoracoscopic esophagectomy in the semi-prone position is much safer and more effective.Wen-Shu Chen Li-Huan Zhu Wu-Jin Li Peng-Jie Tu Jian-Yuan Huang Pei-Lin You Xiao-Jie Pan 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,12:4
8'Chameleon-like' optical behavior of lanthanide-doped fluoride nanoplates for multilevel anti-counterfeiting applications显示文摘Lanthanide-based luminescent anti-counterfeiting materials are widely used in various kinds of products.However,the emission color of traditional lanthanide-based luminescent materials usually remains nearly unaltered upon different excitation lights,which may only work for single-level anti-counterfeiting.Herein,the NaYbF4∶2%Er@NaYF4 core/shell nanoplates (NPs) with 'chameleon-like' optical behavior are developed.These NPs display single-band red or green downshifting (DS) emission upon excitation at 377 or 490 nm,respectively.Upon 980 nm excitation,the color of upconversion (UC) emission can be finely tuned from green to yellow,and to red with increasing the excitation power density from 0.1 to 4.0 W/cm^2.The proposed materials readily integrate the advantages of excitation wavelength-dependent DS single-band emissions and sensitive excitation power-dependent UC multicolor emissions in one and the same material,which has never been reported before.Particularly,the proposed NPs exhibit excellent performance as security labels on trademark tag and security ink on painting,thus revealing the great potential of these lanthanide-doped fluoride NPs in multilevel anti-counterfeiting applications.Wenwu You Datao Tu Renfu Li Wei Zheng Xueyuan Chen 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:3
9Luminescence Properties and Crystal Growth of Er/Yb Codoped KGd(WO_4)_2显示文摘In this paper, the spectral and luminescence properties of a series of KGd(WO4)2 powder samples codoped with different concentrations of Er3+ and Yb3+ were reported,and the best doping concentrations were found to be l at% Er3+ and 10at% Yb3+ for attaining the strongest intensity.The Er3+/Yb3+ codoped KGd(WO4)2 crystal with good optical quality was grown by the TSSG method and the growth conditions were presented.The unpolarized absorption and emission spectra of the crystal have been measured.The strong absorption peak is at 980 nm with a FWHM of 65 nm, and the emission peak is at 1536 nm when pumped by 976 nm.The fluorescence lifetime of manifold 4I13/2 is estimated to be 4.5 ms at room temperature.Investigations of Er, Yb:KGW crystal have shown it to have necessary combination of properties to get an effective generation of ~ 1.54 μm eye-safe radiation with laser diode pumping.WANG Yan TU Chao-Yang ZHU Zhao-Jie LI Jian-Fu YOU Zhen-Yu WU Bai-Chang 2005Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry2005,24,8:3
10Passively Q-switched tri-wavelength Yb3+:GdAl3(BO3)4 solid-state laser with topological insulator Bi2Te3 as saturable absorber显示文摘In this paper,we reported a multiwavelength passively Q-switched Yb3+:GdAl3(BO3)4 solid-state laser with topological insulator Bi2Te3 as a saturable absorber(SA) for the first time,to the best of our knowledge.Bi2Te3 nanosheets were prepared by the facile solvothermal method.The influence of three Bi2Te3 densities on the laser operation was compared.The maximum average output power was up to 57 mW with a pulse energy of 511.7 nJ.The shortest pulsewidth was measured to be 370 ns with 110 kHz pulse repetition rate and 40 mW average power.The laser operated at three wavelengths simultaneously at 1043.7,1045.3,and 1046.2 nm,of which the frequency differences were within the terahertz wave band.Our work suggests that solvothermal synthesized Bi2Te3 is a promising SA for simultaneously multiwavelength laser operation.Yi-Jian Sun Chao-Kuei Lee Jin-Long Xu Zhao-Jie Zhu Ye-Qing Wang Shu-Fang Gao Hou-Ping Xia Zhen-Yu You Chao-Yang Tu 2015Photonics Research2015,3,3:2
11Gene mapping and candidate gene analysis of aberrant-floral spikelet 1(afs1) in rice(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘The spikelet is a unique inflorescence structure in grasses. However, the molecular mechanism that regulates its development remains unclear, and we therefore characterize a spikelet mutant of rice(Oryza sativa L.), aberrant-floral spikelet 1(afs1), which was derived from treatment of Xinong 1 B with ethyl methanesulfonate. In the afs1 mutant, the spikelet developed an additional lemma-like organ alongside the other normally developed floral organs, and the paleae were degenerated to differing degrees with or without normally developed inner floral organs. Genetic analysis revealed that the afs1 phenotype was controlled by a single recessive gene. The AFS1 gene was mapped between the insertion/deletion(In Del) marker Indel19 and the simple sequence repeat marker RM16893, with a physical distance of 128.5 kb on chromosome 4. Using sequence analysis, we identified the deletion of a 5-bp fragment and a transversion from G to A within LOC_Os04 g32510/LAX2, which caused early termination of translation in the afs1 mutant. These findings suggest that AFS1 may be a new allele of LAX2, and is involved in the development of floral organs by regulating the expression of genes related to their development. 12Structural and optical properties of Dy^(3+):YAlO3 phosphors for yellow light-emitting diode applications显示文摘The spectroscopic properties of a series of Dy^(3+)single-doped and Dy^(3+)/Nd^(3+),Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+),and Dy^(3+)/Tm^(3+)co-doped YAlO_(3)(yttrium aluminum perovskite,YAP)phosphors were investigated and compared through the measurements of optical absorption,emission spectra,and fluorescence decay curves.For the Dy^(3+)ion single-doped samples,the intensity of each absorption band increases with an increment in Dy^(3+)ion doping concentration,and the identified strong absorption peak at 447 nm indicates that Dy^(3+):YAP phosphors are suitable to be pumped by a blue laser diode(LD).For all co-doped samples,absorption peaks of Dy^(3+)ion along with some of the absorption bands of Nd^(3+),Tb^(3+),and Tm^(3+)ions are observed.Under 351 and 447 nm excitation,a prominent emission peak at 572 nm was obtained in all the samples,corresponding to Dy^(3+):^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2)transition.Here,2 at%Dy^(3+):YAP phosphor exhibits the highest yellow emission intensity under 447 nm pumping.Among the three kinds of Dy^(3+)co-doped phosphors,Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+):YAP phosphor possesses the dominant yellow emission.The fluorescence decay curves show exponential behaviour and are fitted well.The Commission International de L’Eclairage(CIE)chromaticity coordinates were calculated following the respective emission spectra,and it is found that all the coordinates locate in the yellow region.The energy transfer(ET)processes were investigated and the concentration quenching mechanism was discussed.The obtained results suggest that Dy^(3+)-activated YAP phosphors are good candidates for yellow LED applications.Yingshu Lian Yan Wang Jianfu Li Zhaojie Zhu Zhenyu You Chaoyang Tu Yadong Xu Wanqi Jie 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,8:2
13Exosomes derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells inhibit neuroinflammation after traumatic brain injury显示文摘Exosomes derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells can inhibit neuroinflammation through regulating microglial phenotypes and promoting nerve injury repair.However,the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear.In this study,we investigated the mechanism by which exosomes derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells inhibit neuroinflammation.Our in vitro co-culture experiments showed that bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and their exosomes promoted the polarization of activated BV2 microglia to their anti-inflammatory phenotype,inhibited the expression of proinflammatory cytokines,and increased the expression of anti-inflammatory cytokines.Our in vivo experiments showed that tail vein injection of exosomes reduced cell apoptosis in cortical tissue of mouse models of traumatic brain injury,inhibited neuroinflammation,and promoted the transformation of microglia to the anti-inflammatory phenotype.We screened some microRNAs related to neuroinflammation using microRNA sequencing and found that microRNA-181b seemed to be actively involved in the process.Finally,we regulated the expression of miR181b in the brain tissue of mouse models of traumatic brain injury using lentiviral transfection.We found that miR181b overexpression effectively reduced apoptosis and neuroinflamatory response after traumatic brain injury and promoted the transformation of microglia to the anti-inflammatory phenotype.The interleukin 10/STAT3 pathway was activated during this process.These findings suggest that the inhibitory effects of exosomes derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells on neuroinflamation after traumatic brain injury may be realized by the action of miR181b on the interleukin 10/STAT3 pathway.Liang Wen Ya-Dong Wang Dong-Feng Shen Pei-Dong Zheng Meng-Di Tu Wen-Dong You Yuan-Run Zhu Hao Wang Jun-Feng Feng Xiao-Feng Yang 2022Neural Regeneration Research2022,17,12:2

15Intravitreal dexamethasone implant — a new treatment for idiopathic posterior scleritis: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Posterior scleritis is one of the most easily missed and misdiagnosed diseases in ophthalmology.In this case we treated a patient with intravitreal dexamethasone implant that has not been extensively studied before.CASE SUMMARY A 40-year-old female patient who had anxiety,palpitation,and insomnia presented with eye pain and decreased vision in the left eye.An eye examination indicated that her visual acuity(VA)was 40/100.Her left eye presented conjunctival edema,mild exophthalmos,clear cornea,KP(-),and clear aqueous humor.In the fundus,there was a cinerous retinal protuberance.Ultrasonography showed“T-sign”and no systemic association was detected in laboratory examination.One month after injection of dexamethasone implant,the patient exhibited VA of 20/20,fundus serous retinal detachment disappeared,and intraocular pressure of both eyes was at the normal level.CONCLUSION Intravitreal injection of dexamethasone implant may be a safe and effective treatment for patients with idiopathic posterior scleritis.Yong-Ji Zhao Yu-Ling Zou Ying Lu Meng-Jun Tu Zhi-Peng You 2021World Journal of Clinical Cases2021,9,2:1

17Phenylpropanoid metabolism and pigmentation show divergent patterns between brown color and green color cottons as revealed by metabolic and gene expression analyses显示文摘Background:Naturally-colored cotton has become increasingly popular because of their natural properties of coloration,UV protection,flame retardant,antibacterial activity and mildew resistance.But poor fiber quality and limited color choices are two key issues that have restricted the cultivation of naturally-colored cotton.To identify the possible pathways participating in fiber pigmentation in naturally-colored cottons,five colored cotton accessions in three different color types(with green,brown and white fiber)were chosen for a comprehensive analysis of phenylpropanoid metabolism during fiber development.Results:The expression levels of flavonoid biosynthesis pathway genes in brown cotton fibers were significantly higher than those in white and green cotton fibers.Total flavonoids and proanthocyanidin were higher in brown cotton fibers relative to those in white and green cotton fibers,which suggested that the flavonoid biosynthesis pathway might not participate in the pigmentation of green cotton fibers.Further expression analysis indicated that the genes encoding enzymes for the synthesis of caffeic acid derivatives,lignin and lignan were activated in the developing fibers of the green cotton at 10 and 15 days post-anthesis.Conclusions:Our results strengthen the understanding of phenylpropanoid metabolism and pigmentation in green and brown cotton fibers,and may improve the breeding of naturally-colored cottons.LI Zhonghua SU Qian XU Mingqi YOU Jiaqi KHAN Anam Qadir LI Junyi ZHANG Xianlong TU Lili YOU Chunyuan 2020Journal of Cotton Research2020,3,4:1
