| 1 | Umbilical cord as a mesenchymal stem cell source for treating joint pathologies显示文摘Articular cartilage disorders and injuries often result in life-long chronic pain and compromised quality of life.Regrettably,the regeneration of articular cartilage is a continuing challenge for biomedical research.One of the most promising therapeutic approaches is cellbased tissue engineering,which provides a healthy population of cells to the injured site but requires differentiated chondrocytes from an uninjured site.The use of healthy chondrocytes has been found to have limitations.A promising alternative cell population is mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs),known to possess excellent proliferation potential and proven capability for differentiation into chondrocytes.The“immunosuppressive”property of human MSCs makes them an important candidate for allogeneic cell therapy.The use of allogeneic MSCs to repair large defects may prove to be an alternative to current autologous and allogeneic tissue-grafting procedures.An allogeneic cell-based approach would enable MSCs to be isolated from any donor,expanded and cryopreserved in allogeneic MSC banks,providing a readily available source of progenitors for cell replacement therapy.These possibilities have spawned the current exponential growth in stem cell research in pharmaceutical and biotechnology communities.Our objective in this review is to summarize the knowledge about MSCs from umbilical cord stroma and focus mainly on their applications for joint pathologies. | María Carmen Arufe Alexandre De la Fuente Isaac Fuentes Francisco Javier De Toro Francisco Javier Blanco | 2011 | World Journal of Orthopedics2011，2，6： | 7 |
| 2 | Strain Hardening and Strain Rate Sensitivity Behaviors of Advanced High Strength Steels显示文摘The mechanical properties of commercial dual phase (DP), transformation induced plasticity (TRIP), and high strength low alloy (HSLA-340) steel sheets are investigated and compared at various strain rates ranging from 0.001 7to 0.17 s-1 at ambient temperature.TRIP steel outperforms the other two materials , having comparable ductility and twice as large strength relative to DP steel.TRIP has larger strength and much larger ductility than HSLA-340.The exceuent ductility of TRIP800is due to its high strain hardening capability , which promotes stable plastic deformation.It is observed that the strain hardening rate in TRIP800does not decrease to zero at failure , as common in most materials in which failure is preceded by necking. | F Ozturk A Polat S Toros R C Picu | 2013 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2013，20，6： | 4 |
