1A comparative study on source apportionment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in sediments of the Daliao River,China:Positive matrix factorization and factor analysis with non-negative constraints显示文摘Two receptor models,positive matrix factorization (PMF) and factor analysis with non-negative constraints (FA-NNC),were applied for source apportionment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediments of the Daliao River,China.The source profiles and source contributions derived from the two receptor models were comparable.For PMF,PAHs mainly came from coal combustion (43.3%),followed by biomass burning (24.3%),traffic emissions (16.7%) and coke oven (15.7%).As for FA-NNC,coal combustion (50.4%) was dominant,followed by biomass burning (21.9%),traffic emission (15.7%) and coke oven (12.0%).The source apportionment results are consistent with the results from the specific PAH diagnostic ratios and emission inventory analysis.In addition,the source apportionment results are consistent with the structure of energy material usage in Liaoning Province of China.LIU ChunHui TIAN FuLin CHEN JingWen LI XueHua QIAO XianLiang 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,10:10

4Ribonuclease H-like gene SMALL GRAIN2 regulates grain size in rice through brassinosteroid signaling pathway显示文摘Grain size is a key agronomic trait that determines the yield in plants.Regulation of grain size by brassinosteroids(BRs)in rice has been widely reported.However,the relationship between the BR signaling pathway and grain size still requires further study.Here,we isolated a rice mutant,named small grain2(sg2),which displayed smaller grain and a semi-dwarf phenotype.The decreased grain size was caused by repressed cell expansion in spikelet hulls of the sg2 mutant.Using map-based cloning combined with a Mut Map approach,we cloned SG2,which encodes a plant-specific protein with a ribonuclease H-like domain.SG2 is a positive regulator downstream of GLYCOGEN SYNTHASE KINASE2(GSK2)in response to BR signaling,and its mutation causes insensitivity to exogenous BR treatment.Genetical and biochemical analysis showed that GSK2 interacts with and phosphorylates SG2.We further found that BRs enhance the accumulation of SG2 in the nucleus,and subcellular distribution of SG2 is regulated by GSK2 kinase activity.In addition,Oryza sativa OVATE family protein 19(OsOFP19),a negative regulator of grain shape,interacts with SG2 and plays an antagonistic role with SG2 in controlling gene expression and grain size.Our results indicated that SG2 is a new component of GSK2-related BR signaling response and regulates grain size by interacting with Os OFP19.Yunshuai Huang Hui Dong Changling Mou Ping Wang Qixian Hao Min Zhang Hongmin Wu Fulin Zhang Tengfei Ma Rong Miao Kai Fu Yaping Chen Ziyan Zhu Cheng Chen Qikai Tong Zhuoran Wang Shirong Zhou Xi Liu Shijia Liu Yunlu Tian Ling Jiang Jianmin Wan 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,10:1

10Akkermansia muciniphila and Bifidobacterium bifidum Prevent NAFLD by Regulating FXR Expression and Gut Microbiota显示文摘Background and aims:Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is closely associated with gut microbiota and has become the most common chronic liver disease worldwide,but the relationship between specific strains and NAFLD has not been fully elucidated.We aimed to investigate whether Akkermansia muciniphila and Bifidobacterium bifidum could prevent NAFLD,the effects of their action alone or in combination,possible mechanisms,and modulation of the gut microbiota.Methods:Mice were fed with high-fat diets(HFD)for 20 weeks,in which experimental groups were pretreated with quadruple antibiotics and then given the corresponding bacterial solution or PBS.The expression of the glycolipid metabolism indicators,liver,and intestinal farnesol X receptors(FXR),and intestinal mucosal tight junction proteins were detected.We also analyzed the alterations of inflammatory and immune status and the gut microbiota of mice.Results:Both strains were able to attenuate mass gain(p<0.001),insulin resistance(p<0.001),and liver lipid deposition(p<0.001).They also reduced the levels of the pro-inflammatory factors(p<0.05)and the proportion of Th17(p<0.001),while elevating the proportion of Treg(p<0.01).Both strains activated hepatic FXR while suppressing intestinal FXR(p<0.05),and elevating tight junction protein expression(p<0.05).We also perceived changes in the gut microbiota and found both strains were able to synergize beneficial microbiota to function.Conclusions:Administration of A.muciniphila or B.bifidum alone or in combination was protective against HFD-induced NAFLD formation and could be used as alternative treatment strategy for NAFLD after further exploration.Fulin Nian Longyun Wu Qiaoyun Xia Peiying Tian Chunmei Ding Xiaolan Lu 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,4:0
