1Analysis of species-dependent hydrolysis and protein binding of esmolol enantiomers显示文摘The stereoselective hydrolysis of esmolol in whole blood and in its separated components from rat,rabbit and human was investigated.Blood esterase activities were variable in different species in the order of rat>rabbit>human.Rat plasma showed the high esterase activity and had no stereoselectivity to enantiomers.Rabbit red blood cell(RBC) membrane,RBC cytosol and plasma all hydrolyzed esmolol but with different esterase activity,whereas the hydrolysis in RBC membrane and cytosol showed significant stereoselectivity towards R-(+)-esmolol.Esterase in RBC cytosol from human blood mainly contributed to the esmolol hydrolysis,which was demonstrated with no stereoselctivity.Esterase in human plasma showed a low activity,but a remarkable stereoselectivity with R-(+)-esmolol.In addition,the protein concentration affected the hydrolysis behavior of esmolol in RBC suspension.Protein binding of esmolol enantiomers in human plasma,human serum albumin(HSA) and α_1-acid glycoprotein(AGP) revealed that there was a significant difference in bound fractions between two enantiomers,especially for AGP.Our results indicated that the stereoselective protein binding might play a role in the different hydrolysis rates of esmolol enantiomers in human plasma.Yi-Hong Tanga,b,1,Jun-Yan Wanga,1,Hai-Hong Hua,Tong-Wei Yaoa,Su Zenga,n aDepartment of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Drug Metabolism,College of Pharmaceutical Sciences,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou,Zhejiang 310058,People’s Republic of China bShanghai Institute of Technology,Shanghai 201418,People’s Republic of China 2012Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2012,2,3:3
2Prevention and treatment for radiation-induced skin injury during radiotherapy显示文摘The skin tissue has the largest area in the human body and functions as both a barrier and a defender.As such,it tends to be the first tissue to be damaged.Advances in medical technology provide prospects as well as side effects,for example,radiation therapy for cancer.With increasing cancer morbidity and radiation widely applied for cancer therapy,radiation-induced skin injury(RSI)has become a serious concern.In recent decades,research efforts have focused on the mechanisms underlying RSI.This review summarizes the mainstream opinions on these mechanisms,including the pathological,molecular biological,and cytobiological alterations.Radiationinduced reactive oxygen species(ROS),cytokines and involved signaling pathways are evaluated.Other relevant aspects include radiation-induced skin fibrosis(RSF)and radiation-related skin cell senescence.Moreover,we review strategies for the prevention and treatment in clinical and pre-clinical studies to support the treatment of RSI during radiotherapy.The prevention strategies include dose control,pre-irradiation instructions,and RSI assessments,while the main treatments include physical therapy,external-use dressings or creams,biological therapy and surgical reconstruction.Yimin Wang Wenling Tu Yiting Tanga Shuyu Zhang 2020Radiation Medicine and Protection2020,1,2:2

14Lanthanum-dopedα-Ni(OH)_(2)1D-2D-3D hierarchical nanostructures for robust bifunctional electro-oxidation显示文摘The development of advanced electrocatalysts for electro-oxidation reactions has attracted much attention because of the critical role of such electrocatalysts in improving the overall efficiency of coupled hydrogen production.We have developed an efficient lanthanum-dopedα-Ni(OH)_(2) bifunctional catalyst with a 1D-2D-3D hierarchical nanostructure.It shows superior activity and stability in the anodic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and urea oxidation reaction(UOR).Enrichment of the edge sites and conducting La doping inα-Ni(OH)_(2) phase enable formation and stabilization of abundant local Ni^(3+)ions.This guarantees ultralow onset potentials in electro-oxidation reactions.The 1D-2D-3D hierarchical nanostructure significantly boosts the in situ generation of high-valence active species,which results in efficient and stable OER and UOR performances,and the synergistic merit of doping-induced facile reaction kinetics.Because of the structural benefits of a large surface area,charge-transfer promotion,good structural stability,and bifunctionality,a 1%La-dopedα-Ni(OH)_(2) hierarchical nanostructure gives superior OER and UOR performances with low overpotentials,large catalytic current densities,and excellent operational stability.It is therefore a promising catalyst for use in simultaneous alkaline wastewater treatment and hydrogen production.Zimeng Wei Wenbin Sun Shanshan Liu Jindi Qi Luyao Kang jiechen Li Shanshan Lou Junfeng Xie Bo Tanga Yi Xie 2021Particuology2021,19,4:1
