| 6 | TonEBP expression is essential in the IL-1β–induced migration and invasion of human A549 lung cancer cells显示文摘Lung cancer has the highest mortality rate among all cancers,in part because it readily metastasizes. The tumor microenvironment, comprising blood vessels, fibroblasts, immune cells, and macrophages[including tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)],is closely related to cancer cell growth, migration, and invasion.TAMs secrete several cytokines, including interleukin(IL)-1β,which participate in cancer migration and invasion.p21-activated kinase 1(PAK1),an important signaling molecule, induces cell migration and invasion in several carcinomas.Tonicityresponsive enhancer-binding protein(TonEBP)is also known to participate in cancer cell growth, migration, and invasion. However, the mechanisms by which it increases lung cancer migration remain unclear. Therefore,in this study,we aimed to elucidate the mechanisms by which IL-1βand TonEBP affect lung cancer cell migration and invasion. We found that A549 cocultured-MΦ-secreted IL-1βinduced A549 cell migration and invasion via the PAK1 pathway.TonEBP deficiency reduced A549 cell migration and invasion and increased responsiveness to IL-1β–induced migration and invasion.PAK1 phosphorylation, which was promoted by IL-1β,was reduced when TonEBP was depleted. These results suggest that TonEBP plays an important role in IL-1βinduction and invasiveness of A549 cells via the PAK1 pathway. These findings could be valuable in identifying potential targets for lung cancer treatment. | HEE JU SONG TAEHEE KIM HAN NA CHOI SOO JIN KIM SANG DO LEE | 2024 | Oncology Research2024,32,1: | 0 |
| 7 | Improved cell performance and sulphur tolerance using A-site substituted Sr_(2)Fe_(1.4)Ni_(0.1)Mo_(0.5)O_(6-δ)anodes for solid-oxide fuel cells显示文摘Solid-oxide fuel cells(SOFCs)offer great promise for producing electricity using a wide variety of fuels such as natural gas, coal gas and gasified carbonaceous solids;however, conventional nickel-based anodes face great challenges due to contaminants in readily available fuels, especially sulphur-containing compounds. Thus, the development of new anode materials that can suppress sulphur poisoning is crucial to the realization of fuel-flexible and cost-effective SOFCs.In this work,La_(0.1)Sr_(1.9)Fe_(1.4)Ni_(0.1)Mo_(0.5)O_(6-δ)(LSFNM)and Pr_(0.1)Sr_(1.9)Fe_(1.4)Ni_(0.1)Mo_(0.5)O_(6-δ)(PSFNM)materials have been synthesized using a sol-gel method in air and investigated as anode mater-ials for SOFCs.Metallic nanoparticle-decorated ceramic anodes were obtained by the reduction of LSFNM and PSFNM in H_(2)at 850℃,forming a Ruddlesden-Popper oxide with exsolved FeNi3 bimetallic nanoparticles. The electrochemical performance of the Sr_(2)Fe_(1.4)Ni_(0.1)Mo_(0.5)O_(6-δ)ceramic anode was greatly enhanced by La doping of A-sites,resulting in a 44%decrease in the polarization resistance in reducing atmosphere. The maximum power densities of Sr-and Mg-doped LaGaO_(3)(LSGM)(300μm)electrolyte-supported single cells with LSFNM as the anode reached 1.371 W cm^(-2)in H_(2)and 1.306 W cm^(-2)in 50 ppm H_(2)S-H_(2)at 850℃.Meanwhile,PSFNM showed improved sulphur tolerance, which could be fully recovered after six cycles from H_(2)to 50 ppm H_(2)S-H_(2)operation.This study indicates that LSFNM and PSFNM are promising high-performance anodes for SOFCs. | Haixia Li Wanhua Wang Jie Lin Ka-Young Park Taehee Lee Andreas Heyden Dong Ding Fanglin Chen | 2023 | Clean Energy2023,7,1: | 0 |
| 8 | Analgesic efficacy of median nerve stimulation in mice with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy via modulation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression显示文摘OBJECTIVE:Chemotherapeutic agents such as docetaxel(DTX)can trigger chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy(CIPN),which is characterized by unbearable pain. This study was designed to investigate the analgesic effect and related neuronal mechanism of low-frequency median nerve stimulation(LFMNS)on DTX-induced tactile hypersensitivity in mice.METHODS:To produce CIPN,DTX was administered intraperitoneally 4 times, once every 2 d,to male ICR mice.LFMNS was performed on the wrist area, and the pain response was measured using von Frey filaments on both hind paws.Western blot and immunofluorescence staining were performed using dorsal root ganglion and spinal cord samples to measure the expression of brainderived neurotrophic factor(BDNF).RESULTS:Repeated LFMNS significantly attenuated the DTX-induced abnormal sensory response and suppressed the enhanced expression of BDNF in the DRG neurons and spinal dorsal area.CONCLUSIONS:LFMNS might be an effective nonpharmaceutical option for treating patients suffering from CIPN via regulating the expression of peripheral and central BDNF. | Dong-Wook Kang Jae-Gyun Choi Hee Ju Song Jaehyuk Kim Miae Lee Taehee Kim Suk-Yun Kang Yeonhee Ryu Hwa Seung Yoo Jin Sun Lee Jin Bong Park Sang Do Lee Hyun-Woo Kim | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,4: | 0 |
