3Influence of ammonium sulfate on YAG nanopowders and Yb:YAG ceramics synthesized by a novel homogeneous co-precipitation method显示文摘Homogeneous and dispersed Y_3 Al_5 O_(12)(yttrium aluminum garnet,YAG) nanopowders were synthesized via a homogeneous co-precipitation method from the mixed solutions of yttrium nitrate,aluminum nitrate and a small amount of ammonium sulfate using hot urea as the precipitant.The method has the superiorities that co-precipitation of cations is ensured and continuous decomposition of the hot urea is achieved to obtain the narrow size distribution particles.The addition of small amount of ammonium sulfate surfactant,although has no influence on YAG garnet phase formation,has significant effect on dispersion,particles distribution and sinterability of the resultant YAG and Yb:YAG powders.Compared with the undoped sample,the green body of Yb:YAG doped with ammonium sulfate has higher total shrinkage,linear shrinkage rate and relative density through sintering at 1600 ℃.The resultant Yb:YAG powders can be sintered into transparent ceramics at 1700 ℃ through vacuum sintering.The influence of the sulfate ions on characteristics of the resultant powders was thoroughly studied.Jinsheng Li Zhifa Liu Lei Wu Xiumei Han Xiwei Qi Xudong Sun 2018Journal of Rare Earths2018,36,9:1

6Hybrid method based on flame volume concept for lean blowout limits prediction of aero engine combustors显示文摘The Lean Blowout(LBO)limit is crucial for the aircraft engines.The semi-empirical(such as Lefebvre’s LBO model and Flame Volume(FV)model),numerical and hybrid methods are widely utilized for the LBO limit quick prediction.An innovative hybrid method based on the FV concept is proposed.This method can be classified as a semi-empirical/physical based hybrid prediction method.In this hybrid method,it is assumed that the flame volume varies nearly linearly with the fuel/air ratio near the LBO.The flame volume is obtained directly by the numerical simulation using the threshold value of the visible flame boundary as 900 K.Then the final LBO limits is determined by the FV model.On the premise of keeping the good generality of prediction,the hybrid method based on the FV concept can further improve the prediction accuracy.The comparison with the prediction of the existing available methods on fifteen combustors shows that the hybrid method based on the FV concept achieves better prediction accuracy.The prediction uncertainties between the experimental results and the predicted values by the hybrid method based on the FV concept are within about±10%.Lei SUN Yong HUANG Xiwei WANG Zekun ZHENG Ruixiang WANG Xiang FENG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,5:0
7Preliminary Study on Paleoearthquake Chronology on the Northern Liulengshan Piedmont Fault in Yangyuan, Hebei Province, China显示文摘The northern Liulengshan piedmont fault is located along the southern margin of the Yangyuan basin and represents a dip-slip normal fault,generally NEE-trending and NNW-dipping.Landforms offset by the fault are fairly developed and well preserved in the Dushanpu area of Yangyuan County,Hebei Province.Two trenches were excavated in front of a scarp of the northern Liulengshan piedmont fault at Dushanpu and two paleoseismic events were revealed in the trenches,from which several samples were collected for dating.The samples were dated using the IRSL dating technique.The preliminary result shows the possible ages of the two paleoseismic events.Yin Gongming,Xu Xiwei,Sun Yingjie,Chen Jie,and Liu AiguoInstitute of Geology,SSB,Beijing 100029,China 1997Earthquake Research in China1997,11,4:0
