| 1 | Commissioning progress of the FAST显示文摘The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST) was completed with its main structure installed on September 25, 2016, after which it entered the commissioning phase. This paper aims to introduce the commissioning progress of the FAST over the past two years. To improve its operational reliability and ensure effective observation time, FAST has been equipped with a real-time information system for the active reflector system and hierarchical commissioning scheme for the feed support system, which ultimately achieves safe operation of the two systems. For meeting the high-performance indices, a highprecision measurement system was set up based on the effective control methods that were implemented for the active reflector system and feed support system. Since the commissioning of the FAST, a low-frequency ultra-wideband receiver and 19-beam1.05-1.45 GHz receiver have been mainly used. Telescope efficiency, pointing accuracy, and system noise temperature were completely tested and ultimately achieved the acceptance indices of the telescope. The FAST has been in the process of national acceptance preparations and has begun to search for pulsars. | 2 | Efficacy of telemedicine on glycaemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes:A meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Telemedicine is defined as the delivery of health services via remote communication and technology.It is a convenient and cost-effective method of intervention,which has shown to be successful in improving glyceamic control for type 2 diabetes patients.The utility of a successful diabetes intervention is vital to reduce disease complications,hospital admissions and associated economic costs.AIM To evaluate the effects of telemedicine interventions on hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),body mass index(BMI),post-prandial glucose(PPG),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),weight,cholesterol,mental and physical quality of life(QoL)in patients with type 2 diabetes.The secondary aim of this study is to determine the effect of the following subgroups on HbA1c post-telemedicine intervention;telemedicine characteristics,patient characteristics and self-care outcomes.METHODS PubMed Central,Cochrane Library,Embase and Scopus databases were searched from inception until 18th of June 2020.The quality of the 43 included studies were assessed using the PEDro scale,and the random effects model was used to estimate outcomes and I2 for heterogeneity testing.The mean difference and standard deviation data were extracted for analysis.RESULTS We found a significant reduction in HbA1c[-0.486%;95%confidence interval(CI)-0.561 to-0.410,P<0.001],DBP(-0.875 mmHg;95%CI-1.429 to-0.321,P<0.01),PPG(-1.458 mmol/L;95%CI-2.648 to-0.268,P<0.01),FPG(-0.577 mmol/L;95%CI-0.710 to-0.443,P<0.001),weight(-0.243 kg;95%CI-0.442 to-0.045,P<0.05),BMI(-0.304;95%CI-0.563 to-0.045,P<0.05),mental QoL(2.210;95%CI 0.053 to 4.367,P<0.05)and physical QoL(-1.312;95%CI 0.545 to 2.080,P<0.001)for patients following telemedicine interventions in comparison to control groups.The results of the meta-analysis did not show any significant reductions in SBP and cholesterol in the telemedicine interventions compared to the control groups.The telemedicine characteristic subgroup analysis revealed that clinical treatment models of intervention,as well as those involving telemonitoring,and those provided via modes of videoconference or interactive telephone had the greatest effect on HbA1c reduction.In addition,interventions delivered at a less than weekly frequency,as well as those given for a duration of 6 mo,and those lead by allied health resulted in better HbA1c outcomes.Furthermore,interventions with a focus on biomedical parameters,as well as those with an engagement level>70%and those with a drop-out rate of 10%-19.9%showed greatest HbA1c reduction.The patient characteristics investigation reported that Hispanic patients with T2DM had a greater HbA1c reduction post telemedicine intervention.For self-care outcomes,telemedicine interventions that resulted in higher postintervention glucose monitoring and self-efficacy were shown to have better HbA1c reduction.CONCLUSION The findings indicate that telemedicine is effective for improving HbA1c and thus,glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes.In addition,telemedicine interventions were also found to significantly improved other health outcomes as well as QoL scores.The results of the subgroup analysis emphasized that interventions in the form of telemonitoring,via a clinical treatment model and with a focus on biomedical parameters,delivered at a less than weekly frequency and 6 mo duration would have the largest effect on HbA1c reduction.This is in addition to being led by allied health,through modes such as video conference and interactive telephone,with an intervention engagement level>70%and a drop-out rate between 10%-19.9%.Due to the high heterogeneity of included studies and limitations,further studies with a larger sample size is needed to confirm our findings. | Julia De Groot Dongjun Wu Declan Flynn Dylan Robertson Gary Grant Jing Sun | 2021 | World Journal of Diabetes2021,12,2: | 3 |

We generally reviewed the influences on the temporal contrast in three categories of noises based on the requirement by the physical mechanisms. The spatiotemporal influences on temporal contrast at the focal region of the chromatic aberration and propagation time difference introduced by large-aperture broadband spatial filters, which were spatiotemporally coupled with compression and focusing, were calculated and discussed with a practical case in SG-Ⅱ5 PW ultrashort petawatt laser. Method We assessed the prevalence of infection by strains bearing the cytotoxin -associated gene-A(Cag-A),a strong virulence factor ,in 83 patients with cerebral infarction and in 71 age- and sex-matched controls with similar social background. Result Prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection was significantly higher in patients than in controls(78.3% versus 56.3%,p<0.05),with an odds ratio of 2.8(95%CI,1.46 to 5.36) adjusted for age, sex, main stroke factors. | 14 | P-wave Velocity Structure of Crustal and Upper Mantle beneath South China and its Tectonic Implications显示文摘The 3D P-wave velocity structure beneath the South China Block was determined by applying arrival times from 269 teleseismic events recorded by 240 seismic stations within the study region. Our tomographic results reveal the deep structural characteristics of major tectonic units and ore concentration areas. There are distinct high velocity anomalies beneath the ancient Yangtze and Cathaysia blocks, with the lithosphere of the Cathaysia Block being thinner than the Yangtze Block;the Jiangnan orogenic belt, located in the combined zone of two blocks, is a high and low velocity anomaly conversion zone;the famous metallogenic belts of Edongnan, the Youjiang Basin and the Cathaysia Block are obviously low velocity areas with different metallogenic mechanisms. The deep ore-forming material source in the Edongnan metallogenic belt is different from that of the Cathaysia Block. The low velocity anomaly under the Cathaysia Block related to mineralization results from the upwelling of mantle material, caused by the joint action of the Paleo-Tethys tectonic domain, the Paleo-Pacific tectonic domain and the Hainan mantle plume migration and erosion, which has been occurring from northeast to southwest since 80 Ma. | 16 | Indoor metabolites and chemicals outperform microbiome in classifying childhood asthma and allergic rhinitis显示文摘Indoor microorganisms impact asthma and allergic rhinitis(AR),but the associated microbial taxa often vary extensively due to climate and geographical variations.To provide more consistent environmental assessments,new perspectives on microbial exposure for asthma and AR are needed.Home dust from 97 cases(32 asthma alone,37 AR alone,28 comorbidity)and 52 age-and gender-matched controls in Shanghai,China,were analyzed using high-throughput shotgun metagenomic sequencing and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.Homes of healthy children were enriched with environmental microbes,including Paracoccus,Pseudomonas,and Psychrobacter,and metabolites like keto acids,indoles,pyridines,and flavonoids(astragalin,hesperidin)(False Discovery Rate<0.05).A neural network co-occurrence probability analysis revealed that environmental microorganisms were involved in producing these keto acids,indoles,and pyridines.Conversely,homes of diseased children were enriched with mycotoxins and synthetic chemicals,including herbicides,insecticides,and food/cosmetic additives.Using a random forest model,characteristic metabolites and microorganisms in Shanghai homes were used to classify high and low prevalence of asthma/AR in an independent dataset in Malaysian schools(N=1290).Indoor metabolites achieved an average accuracy of 74.9%and 77.1%in differentiating schools with high and low prevalence of asthma and AR,respectively,whereas indoor microorganisms only achieved 51.0%and 59.5%,respectively.These results suggest that indoor metabolites and chemicals rather than indoor microbiome are potentially superior environmental indicators for childhood asthma and AR.This study extends the traditional risk assessment focusing on allergens or air pollutants in childhood asthma and AR,thereby revealing potential novel intervention strategies for these diseases. | Yu Sun Hao Tang Shuang Du Yang Chen Zheyuan Ou Mei Zhang Zhuoru Chen Zhiwei Tang Dongjun Zhang Tianyi Chen Yanyi Xu Jiufeng Li Dan Norback Jamal Hisham Hashim Zailina Hashim Jie Shao Xi Fu Zhuohui Zhao | 2023 | Eco-Environment & Health2023,2,4: | 0 |
| 17 | Haploidentical transplantation has a superior graft-versus-leukemia effect than HLA-matched sibling transplantation for Ph- high-risk B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia显示文摘Background: Compared with human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-matched sibling donor (MSD) transplantation, it remains unclear whether haploidentical donor (HID) transplantation has a superior graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effect for Philadelphia-negative (Ph-) high-risk B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). This study aimed to compare the GVL effect between HID and MSD transplantation for Ph- high-risk B-ALL.Methods: This study population came from two prospective multicenter trials (NCT01883180, NCT02673008). Immunosuppressant withdrawal and prophylactic or pre-emptive donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI) were administered in patients without active graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) to prevent relapse. All patients with measurable residual disease (MRD) positivity posttransplantation (post-MRD+) or non-remission (NR) pre-transplantation received prophylactic/pre-emptive interventions. The primary endpoint was the incidence of post-MRD+.Results: A total of 335 patients with Ph- high-risk B-ALL were enrolled, including 145 and 190, respectively, in the HID and MSD groups. The 3-year cumulative incidence of post-MRD+ was 27.2% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 20.2%-34.7%) and 42.6% (35.5%-49.6%) in the HID and MSD groups(P = 0.003), respectively. A total of 156 patients received DLI, including 60 (41.4%) and 96 (50.5%), respectively, in the HID and MSD groups (P= 0.096). The 3-year cumulative incidence of relapse was 18.6% (95% CI: 12.7%-25.4%) and 25.9% (19.9%-32.3%;P = 0.116) in the two groups, respectively. | 19 | Status and perspectives of the CRAFTS extra-galactic HI survey显示文摘The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST) is expected to complete its commissioning in 2019. FAST will soon begin the Commensal Radio Astronomy FasT Survey(CRAFTS), a novel and unprecedented commensal drift scan survey of the entire sky visible from FAST. The goal of CRAFTS is to cover more than 20000 deg2 and reach redshift up to about 0.35. We provide empirical measurements of the beam size and sensitivity of FAST across the 1.05 to 1.45 GHz frequency range of the FAST L-band array of 19-beams(FLAN). Using a simulated HI-galaxy catalogue based on the HI Mass Function(HIMF), we estimate the number of galaxies that CRAFTS may detect. At redshifts below 0.35, over 6 × 105 HI galaxies may be detected. Below the redshift of 0.07, the CRAFTS HIMF will be complete above a mass threshold of 109.5 M⊙.
