| 1 | Reduction of natural regulatory T cells in thymomas accompanying myasthenia gravis and its possible association with Foxp3 and thymic stromal lymphopoietin显示文摘Objective: To investigate the expression of both thymic regulatory T cells (CD4+CD25+Foxp3+cells, Treg) and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) in thymomas accompanying myasthenia gravis. Methods: We used immunohistochemistry and real-time reverse trancription polymerase chain reaction (real-time RT-PCR) techniques to determine Foxp3+ Treg counts and the expression levels of Foxp3 mRNA and TSLP mRNA in thymomas of 23 MG patients and thymuses of 4 healthy controls. Results: The CD4+ Foxp3+ nTreg (natural regulatory T cells) counts in thymomas were significantly lower than those in normal thymuses (P<0.01), and the expression levels of Foxp3 mRNA and TSLP mRNA were also lower in thymomas(P<0.01). Among the thymoma types, type B1 thymoma had the highest Foxp3+ nTreg count and standard values of Foxp3 mRNA and TSLP mRNA. There was a strong positive correlation between the mRNA transcriptional levels of Foxp3 and TSLP. | 2 | Antibacterial and biocompatible properties of vancomycin-loaded nano-hydroxyapatite/collagen/poly(lactic acid) bone substitute显示文摘Infected bone defects are normally regarded as contraindications for bone grafting.In the present study,an antibacterial bone graft substitute was synthesized by loading vancomycin(VCM) in our previously developed mineralized collagen based composite,nano-hydroxyapatite/collagen/poly(lactic acid)(nHAC/PLA),aiming to repair large size bone defects and inhibit related infections simultaneously.The VCM/nHAC/PLA showed typical porous structure with a porosity of(80.7± 6.7)%and compressive strength of 1.52 MPa.The delivery of VCM from VCM/nHAC/PLA was detected in vitro for up to 4weeks.And their antibacterial properties were determined using inhibition ratio assay and inhibition zone assay.Pretty high level of inhibition ratio(more than 99%) was obtained in VCM/nHAC/PLA group.Additionally,a distinct inhibition zone was clearly formed in Staphylococcus aureus bacterium incubation dish with VCM/nHAC/PLA disc for up to 18 days of incubation.Moreover,both of the nHAC/PLA composites with or without VCM exhibited favorable in vitro and in vivo biocompatibilities for rabbit marrow stromal cells(MSCs) adhesion,spreading,proliferation,and triggering no obvious inflammation responses in subcutaneous implantation.Our results suggested that the VCM/nHAC/PLA performed ideal antibacterial property and biocompatibility and has great promise for the treatment of bone defect-related infections in orthopedic surgeries. | Xiaojie Lian Huanye Liu Xiumei Wang Suju Xu Fuzhai Cui Xizhuang Bai | 2013 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013，23，6： | 2 |

| 19 | The effect of the RBC- β -EP on RCIA during the acute cerebral infarction显示文摘Objective To study the effect of the red- β -cndorphin (RBC- β -EP) on red cell immune adherence (RCIA) during the onset and development of thc acute cerebral infarction. Background Some experiments have shown that RBC- β -EP could ennance the function of RCIA. But its change and significance remain unknown. Methods RCIA and RBC- β -EP were measured at 24、 72 hours and on 15 days after cerebral i ntarction. Results Concentration of RBC- β -EP and function of RCIA increased during the first 24 hours after the cerebral infarction. Within 72 hours, RBC- β -EP increased and RCIA decreased significantly. Both of them were normal after 15 days. Discussion When β -EP slightly increased and combined with its receptor, function of RICA increased. But excessive concentration of β-EP could change the structure of receptor of RBC-CR1 ,and the function of RCIA decreasecd. Conclusion RBC-β-EP has a double-cffect on RCIA function during the evolution of cerebral intarction.
