| 1 | Brain-derived neurotropic factor and GABAergic transmission in neurodegeneration and neuroregeneration显示文摘Neurotoxicity induced by stress,radiation,chemicals,or metabolic diseases,is commonly associated with excitotoxicity,oxidative stress,and neuroinflammation.The pathological process of neurotoxicity induces neuronal death,interrupts synaptic plasticity in the brain,and is similar to that of diverse neurodegenerative diseases.Animal models of neurotoxicity have revealed that clinical symptoms and brain lesions can recover over time via neuroregenerative processes.Specifically,brain-derived neurotropic factor(BDNF) and gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)-ergic transmission are related to both neurodegeneration and neuroregeneration.This review summarizes the accumulating evidences that suggest a pathogenic role of BDNF and GABAergic transmission,their underlying mechanisms,and the relationship between BDNF and GABA in neurodegeneration and neuroregeneration.This review will provide a comprehensive overview of the underlying mechanisms of neuroregeneration that may help in developing potential strategies for pharmacotherapeutic approaches to treat neurotoxicity and neurodegenerative disease. | Jinwook Kim Sueun Lee Sohi Kang Sung-Ho Kim Jong-Choon Kim Miyoung Yang Changjong Moon | 2017 | Neural Regeneration Research2017,12,10: | 8 |

| 3 | Formations of AZ91/Al_(2)O_(3) nano-composite layer by friction stir processing显示文摘Composite layers containing~0.8%vol Al_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles were produced on AZ91 magnesium alloy by friction stir processing(FSP).The treated layers were characterized using optical and scanning electron microscopes,as well as microhardness and wear testing units.It was noticed that,by reducing the rotational speed and increasing the travel speed,the grain size of the treated layer reduces and its hardness increases.In addition,the presence of nano Al_(2)O_(3) reduces the grain sizes of the layers further and increases their hardness.Furthermore,FSP of AZ91 with Al_(2)O_(3) particles improved the wear resistance significantly and changed the wear mechanism from oxidation and adhesive mode in the as-received AZ91 to oxidation and abrasive in the FSPed specimens.Finally,the rotational speed of 800 rpm and the travel speed of 40 mm/min were the optimum parameters for achieving a suitable composite layer with the highest hardness and wear resistance among the treated layers. | D.Ahmadkhaniha M.Heydarzadeh Sohi A.Salehi R.Tahavvori | 2016 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2016,4,4: | 3 |

| 5 | Effects of TIG Surface Melting and Chromium Surface Alloying on Microstructure, Hardness and Wear Resistance of ADI显示文摘Microhardness and wear resistance of different microstructures formed by TIG(tungsten inert gas) surface melting and chromium surface alloying(using ferrochromium)of ADI(austempered ductile iron)were studied. Sur- face melting resulted in the formation of a ledeburitic structure in the melted zone, and this structure has a hardness up to 896 HV as compared to 360 HV in that of ADI. Moreover, chromium surface alloying resulted in the forma- tion of different structures including:(1)a hypereutectic structure consisting of primary(Fe,Cr)_7 C_3 carbides and a eutectic matrix of transformed austenite(into martensite and retained austenite),as also (Fe,Cr)_7C_3 carbides, with a hardness of 1 078 HV;(2) a hypoeutectic structure consisting of the same eutectic along with transformed primary austenite, with a hardness of 755 HV; and (3) a ledeburitic structure with an acicular morphology and a hardness of 896 HV. The results also indicated that surface melting reduced the wear rate of the ADI by approximately 37%.
